attempted to relisten to the first ep of acofaf to lull me to sleep since i have it downloaded offline. however i have made a critical mistake, because acofaf as a whole and especially the first ep is so good and i now want to stay awake to finish listening to it.

this whole cast... golden.

also andhera coming in IMMEDIATELY smouldering and covered in vanity but useless muscles truly makes the "made some checks my body cant cash" line payoff later on even better.

Skytober Day Four: Air!

Believe it or not, I have a very interesting reason why I chose Boom Jet for this day, and it involves my initial childhood Skylanders phase.

So this was when I was 11/12, maybe 10. Around Halloween I made up a scary(?) story with a some of my Skylanders. Keep in mind Little Daring knew next to nothing about the Skylanders games/lore. I was solely in it for the toys.

So in said story, Boom Jet accidentally(?) gets a cursed jewel stuck to his chest, and obtains a monstery form as a result. Which was just demon wings I drew with bright red and blue markers taped onto his back. The other Skylanders (along with some of my other toys, there was a whole universe going on) were scrambling to try and get the jewel off. The demon wings could also shoot blades iirc.

Why did I choose Boom Jet in particular? No clue. Did it make sense? Absolutely not. But that was me having some Halloween fun as a kid. While I was thinking of who to do for the Air prompt, this clusterfuck from seven or eight years ago just flashbanged back into my brain from the depths of my memories.

So yeah. That’s why I chose Boom Jet.👍

Hello! Thought I'd say THANK YOU for your laios-marcille posts and rts, they might be one of my favorite dynamics in the series (or in any series) *because* of the layers it has, there is so much going on and I love how it's shown. And I'm glad I found ppl who see it in a similar way. They mean the world to me and ch 96 makes my heart all warm bc they CARE so much! They all know each other so well. This whole party is a family!! And found family has complex dynamics, it's not clear cut and with easy labels. That goes for them too.

YOU ARE SO WELCOME I obviously love them a lot too and I'm very glad I can occasionally manage to condense the "!!!!!!" emotions in my brain into coherent enough words to talk about it. They care SO much T.T

#I think it was around about when I realized that - despite Kabru & everyone assuming that Laios would become the lord of the dungeon...#that it was going to be Marcille. Or at least Marcille first.#who would simultaneously give into temptation but also in doing so kind of incidentally save Laios #from being the primary/initial target of the winged lion #that was when the layers of their dynamic really started to hit me #THE RABBITS PART liiiike the way he protects her but also puts her through that. The way it leads up into her becoming lord of the dungeon #they are so similar. even when they don't see it.#anyway! yeah I think its a good dynamic!#ask

Monday, February 26: Temptation's Wings, "Witches of Dredmoor"

Despite naming themselves after a Down song, Temptation’s Wings tried to be a lot of things, especially over the course of “Witches of Dredmoor”’s nearly ten-minute runtime. There was plenty of doom, of course, both of the classic Sabbath and melodramatic Candlemass variety, but there was also more than a trace of mid ‘90s Iced Earth in the vocals, and every so often the band would either break into some kind of mid ‘90s Metallica southern groove or go vaguely power metal. It was a lot to digest, even at 10 minutes, and the track didn’t entirely hold together, even though every part individually was played well.
