#TL;DR: this quest was one of the few mildly challenging things in this entire game and it was fun so I'm mad they cut it

ALRIGHT having to make a separate post because tumblr doesn't allow to upload a video in a reblog...
@cut-content-contest propaganda for the docks mission in Dreamfall Chapters (this poll)
I went ahead and recorded a quick run of said mission just so you could see it, and lemme tell you, I did NOT remember the extras version being so scuffed. I don't talk in the video, so I'm going to address it in text below.
First, the plot: we play as Kian, he is a rebel, part of the resistance against some assholes (they're called Azadi) who attacked this magical country and are harassing the locals. Our mission is to blow up a weapon shipment, which is what you would expect rebels to do and the oppressors to get very pissed about (which they do, regardless of this mission being in the game! They are pissed about the blown-up shipment later on in the game, and this is also part of the reason why things escalate really damn fast. Except in the final version of the game we never blow anything up, because they cut this little section!)
Now, the mechanics: you have to look for things that allow you to blow it up, and i don't really look around much, but there are a few crates to peek into, and you can't even pick anything else up, so it's really just the matter of running around the very much enclosed area and finding everything you need and then putting it in place. This game is the third part of a series, with the first game being The Longest Journey, a 1999 point-and-click quest which is all about looking for things and combining them to progress the plot. And this was pretty much the only mission in this game that really reminded you of the roots of the series! Sure, there's a couple more fetch quests where you have to look for something across the map, but nothing quite like this one. And it's not that challenging! Even if the guard sees you, you don't die, they just send you back through the gate and you keep all the little progress you've made! You don't even have to think what to combine with what, because there are no extra things in your inventory that could confuse you! And Kian would give you hints if you just look at stuff!
And lastly: this extras version is completely broken. You can clearly see it in the video. The areas don't load properly anymore (it's a small area of the bigger map which doesn't have trouble loading in the game), and they used to load perfectly well when it was actually part of the game. Also, this is actually my second attempt at recording it, and in the first one I could not for the life of me pick up the bloody nail until I put down all the other things near the crates. So, even if you'd like to play it, good fucking luck with that, said the devs and cut a plot-important quest to unplayable shreds.
