I love being thought of as the resident underwear expert yay!! So - I took a random google journey to find some things that would fit my visions for each. ⚠️ Reality under the cut is it's just a lot of screenshots of man crotch and ass hahaha (ohhhh what a devastating hardship but I thought I'd give a heads up if you're somewhere unprepared to be blinded by a wall of that):

WILL! I always like thinking that his personal indulgence as the years go on is nice underwear. Fun styles. Bright/soft colors. Flirty and experimental. Highlighting a lot of leg, occasionally loving wearing things that provide easy access to that 🍑 for a really sexy purposeful situation. And he loves stripes! Call back to his fashion style over the years. Will likes to look cute and show off for Mike. Often his casual 'around the house' look is a big t-shirt or hoodie/sweater and just underwear. It suits him. Mike... is not complaining. He's so damn lucky. I also like to think Will has some fancy lingerie on the traditionally feminine side that makes an appearance on really special occasions - stockings and lacy bottoms and one of those hot garter belts. A sheer little robe. All in white or soft blue. But this is a rare treat, more of a kink than normal rotation garment choice or even dressing up for everyday sex. It's special. Hmmm I think my number one vision for him after contemplation is Will Byers in a baby blue jockstrap. Seems right. Overall he loves color and comfort! And looking nice nearly naked! It's an easy confidence cheat code after all...

Will's underwear drawer:

MIKE! Function, comfort. Masculine and classic. Grays and whites and blues, mostly. Department store multipacks (but a step up from his teenage basic style). Will likes to buy him nice underwear sometimes though, and Mike will wear anything his man buys him but he's just kind of nonchalant and casual overall. A subtle pattern here and there or a fun novelty print more as a joke than trying to be cute like Will does (Mike definitely bought a pair of heart boxers one valentines day for a laugh but Will loved them so much they get added into normal rotation). He's not super concerned about what he's wearing for the most part and sometimes he just decides to wear... nothing under his pants. His 'around the house' look is sweats/commando and a plain tshirt. And that simple look drives Will wild. Also shout out to one of the best HCs around about Mike and his black Calvin boxer briefs hmmmMMM 🤤 Another indulgence might be some Armani Exchange ooooh.

Oml I have so many!! The first one that came to mind for me was when I was scrolling Tumblr on Christmas and everyone was posting their Secret Santa gifts for @hbowardaily 's Secret Santa, just the amount of love everyone expressed for each other that day is something I've never seen in any other fandom ❤️
