Davrin. He always kept relationships casual and nothing serious. But, when he meets Rook. It changes.

Someone who is kind and helps him out. Tells himself not to get attached or fall in love with his boss, but he does.

It’s so sweet and adorable to see him go soft and one thing Veilguard does a great job at is the emotions on character’s faces.

The animations in this game are so frigging good. It kills me.

And yeah I love that Davrin is so clearly built for devotion and commitment. Not just in his personal relationships but even joining the Wardens for that sense of purpose and community he left behind with the Dalish. More than that, yeah I think he was lonely. He'd just lost Lancit and Remi, was constantly on the move, so he meets not just Rook but the rest of VG and they're ultimately kind and welcoming, I think Davrin eats that up. He never really fit in in his clan from what we can glean, and he's a stand-out amongst the Wardens by virtue of his skillset. I do think he was ripe for Rook to come along and just be nice but also to be there and one of the reasons his romance is a slower burn is because he doesn't know if Rook or himself can survive.

Once he as even a tiny bit of hope????? Full-tilt into commitment hahaha.

I also firmly believe while he says he keeps things casual, that he's been hurt in the past from not keeping things casual at least once. Or as casual as he should. (No in-game evidence for this just vibes cause fanfiction ya know)

Yeah I love strong but gentle characters. Especially when you know they're choosing to be gentle. A monster hunter choosing to be a caretaker is beautiful.

Davrin is a great subversion of a Grey Warden in Thedas and I have to praise Veilguard again for his writing and execution it's so so so good.

Thoughts on trolls with paws and tails? I didn't like them at the beginning, it made them look like little cats but those two features grow on me.

I like the visual storytelling with the tails. I like that people usually draw the fuzz on the tails to match their hair. Or how the tails are different depending on the Trolls genre.

I like how they wag or swish or fluff up depending on their mood.

I enjoy the stories where they're more animalistic. Like how they growl or purr or groom each other.

And paws are just adorable. 🐾

So, first step in my work on the DDS2 gag manga @parasitoidism uploaded is clearning out the original Japanese text to replace with translated text so I can hear myself think instead of having two layers of two languages cluttering the place up.

I tried to preserve and repair the illustration on the contents page, so that took a while.

More importantly, LOOK AT THEM! They're so frigging cute! This image is adorable. Seraph, my beloved.

Credits will be restored in the translated version, of course. Disclaimer before I get into that that I'm still learning Japanese, so I make no promises on a perfect translation.

Book 9 Thoughts So Far

The new freebie OC Rune is adorable. I will protect him.

We learn he ran away because he was imprisoned by the Celestial King wanted to use him to gain knowledge to keep to himself. I checked Rune's voice lines before playing Chapter 2 and he mentions the Celestial King's name is Alfador. So Alfador so far sounds like more sinister version of Odin. In the Norse Myths, a lot of Odin's escapades revolved around pursuits to gain knowledge, and Alfador here is mentioned to have a thirst for knowledge as well.

It's mentioned that Baldr is impossible to harm because a pact with the nine realms, which she has in common with her Norse counterpart. In Norse Mythology, Baldr was invisible because his mom Frig, made everyone and everything make a pact not to hurt him, except for mistletoe. Because apparently it was too young to make a contract with. Wonder how Insys will deal with the invisibility issue in this? Also being a god justice is also accurate for her Norse counterpart. Though this take on Baldr gives me the vibe that she's the type that's probably a little overzealous about dealing out justice.

I think I like Hodr so far. She seems nice and hopefully she can help us out, but girl how to see anything with your bangs in your eyes? Personally that would drive me nuts. She also mentions that Bladr senses that Thorr and Loki are probably servicing another master, and I definitely believe they're lying about being loyal to Alfador. I wonder what they have up their sleeve?

Also who the heck accused us of trying to conquer the realms? Sure we killed some gods, but last I checked there's a difference between self-defense and conquest.

David Chiem Ultimate Rebel: Talentswap AU

Casually going to drop my headcanons for an Ultimate Rebel David talentswap. I've surprisingly never seen this one done yet (tho I could be wrong) and I think it has neat potential!

His parents, and elder sister Diana, were all killed when he was 14: Instead of a water poisoning accident as has been (I think?) implied with Xander's folks, it was a murder.

Since I headcanon David's father as a respected political speaker (who's also debatably shady- cough-) I'll say that it was a very targeted assassination on the Chiem family.

Just like Xander, David was the only survivor. It happened at one of his very own speeches. He watched it happen.

David's home-life was never… exemplary, not all the mansions or adoring public eyes in the world could make it so. Yet, things were actually beginning to look up for him and his family for once in this AU. Beginning to change. And then it all was ripped away.

Rumors circulate that Duke Spurling, a political rival of David's father, may have been involved. No one can confirm or deny this, but the man was too powerful to be convicted.

David. Is. Livid. Hope dangled in his face, and then shredded apart in front of his eyes. He really has nothing to lose anymore. While I think giving up may be his first impulse... soon, he'd grow spiteful. Depression is an ever-present stage of his grief. So is anger.

Using the tens of thousands of followers that he's already accumulated in his early speaking career (which would soon reach millions and then worldwide) David devises an organization. He is the leader of this organization, and gains much of the intel himself: But just to make things more efficient, gain easier assistance for himself in matters he can't pull off alone, and stir up some more insanity, he takes quite full advantage of his local lunatic fringe.

This organization is basically an undercover activism group, carefully comprised of fans of his insane enough to do his bidding, yet competent enough to not get caught spying, wealthy enough to bail him out of jail if he so needs in emergency, so on. This fame of his is a resource that Xander didn't have at the same age. He manipulates it skillfully. (If you're familiar with DRV3, think DICE.)

It is called Stardust. Nobody knows of it… until they're intended to.

David publicly snaps live on stage one day, and provides damning evidence to condemn Duke Spurling for the targeted assassination of his family. From then on, his speeches and public brand morpth from sunshiny and inspiring, into gritty, snapping wake-up calls.

David's manager? Locked up too. You can find a laundry list of reasons to legally get someone thrown in the hole, if you're crafty enough. Man was a controlling piece of dirt anyway. Ah; Who knew being liberated and in charge of his life for once felt this good!

(...He will never forget Diana taking that bullet in his place.)

Society is split 50/50 on what to think of David after this. Many are turned off by his sudden switch-around from the gentle-spoken boy he once was, while many others sympathize with his motives or are stirred into action or even mobs and protests by his sharp, brazen words. This controversy sparks massive public debate.

By age 18, the frigging government itself is mildly intimidated by this unhinged blue man.

Before 2024 ends, I just wanted to say how thankful I am that I got to be blessed with another year of your presence on my dash. I honestly don't get to say it enough, but I truly adore you, your blog, and Sonia herself. You are one of the main reasons my love for Danganronpa still continues to go strong, even after all these years. And I thank you so much for that.

Things have prevented me from doing much on here this year, but I truly hope that I will finally get to do more again next year, especially with you! Sonia and Itsuki's relationship still holds a very special place in my heart (These two are so gosh darn different to one another, and yet just get on beautifully and are so frigging adorable!!!), and I absolutely need her and Gonta to interact properly in due time!

This is so sweet, Beckowsky, thank you! I'm proud that I'm able to help you reaffirm your love for Danganronpa: it's definitely not a perfect series and has its issues, but the best part about this fandom are the friends you make along the way.

I truly do understand how life gets in the way of RP, though (due to my job and medication side effects, I'm not over here as much as I wish I could be either!). But I'm sure you are out in the world creating amazing art! And wearing some amazing fashion. If and when you have the time, I hope you continue to share your looks for Munday posts. I want to try to pledge to do the same and not stress about how much older I am, and look, than my mutuals.

And yes, I agree that Sonia and Itsuki's friendship is so precious, and that Sonia and Gonta have so much interaction possibilities! Sonia teaching him things like table manners for high society meals, dancing, proper posture and etiquette. And Gonta teaching her about bugs: Sonia wouldn't be afraid of them and would be happy to hold whatever bug he offered her.

But with that in mind (and looking at your multimuse blog's list), here are some other muses I would love for Sonia to interact with if you're interested:

Sakura Ogami. I'm mostly biased because I adore her, but Sakura could teach Sonia some martial arts moves and exhibit large amounts of patience while Sonia talks her ear off.

Byakuya Togami. Also biased as he's my favorite of the DR antagonists and one of my favorite DR characters in general. Any dynamic with Sonia would be fun, though I tend to HC her being a little ridiculous to him with her love of serial killers. They're also a rarepair of mine, if you ever wanted to plot a romantic ship.

Toko Fukawa. Serial killer meets Serial Killer Fan. Sonia probably reads her books, too.

Seiji Amanome. I'm familiar with the first two Spirit Hunter games so both Seiji and Ban are welcomed! But poor Seiji: imagine him trying to intimidate/blackmail Sonia and meanwhile she's happily embracing all of the Creepy Stuff they encounter. Unlike Akira's often annoyed/pessimistic vibe, Sonia is just happy to be here and is somehow spared from being killed by various entities.

And a few other anime characters I'm moderately to very familiar with that you could throw my way, if inclined: Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, Ryoga Hibiki, Takeo Gouda, and Tatsu.

Wildlife rescue au?

Now that I have dealt with the zombie au stream, I can do the last couple of these! Hehehee!

Okay I'ma put them in a small town in the middle of nowhere, the gang runs a vet clinic and wildlife rescue center. They do some work taking care of the pets and farm animals of the town, but a lot of it is following up tips about wounded wildlife.

Julie and Alex are the main veterinarians. Most of their time is spent in the clinic, working with whatever injured animals get brought in. They do sometimes make house calls or go out on tip checks if the situation seems serious thought. Alex mainly specializes in small animals and domestic ones, with a keen affinity for taking care of birds. Julie's forte is the bigger animals, lots of deer and foxes and the occasional wildcat or wolf.

Willie and Reggie are the main ones who go out to follow up on tips. Luke sometimes joins them as the driver, but mostly it's the two of them. Willie is basically an animal EMT, cause he has most of the same training that Julie and Alex have, but hates being cooped up in the clinic. Reggie is both a really good off-road driver and is a lot more perceptive than people assume. He'll usually notice smaller injuries even before Willie does, and is much more likely to realize if an attacking animal is still lurking or if something else about the situation seems off. They make a great team!

Luke is the driver and delivery person mainly. He's always moving back and forth between their home and the nearest larger towns to get supplies and pick up mail and packages. He's also surprisingly good with dogs, who would have thought? Julie enlists him to take their pup patients out for walks and stuff all the time.

Flynn handles most of the business/paperwork stuff. They have a state government contract, and it's not a for-profit business, so it's a lot of papers, grant reporting, and general office stuff. She frigging thrives on it. She also very much enjoys being able to threaten the guys with not signing their paychecks when they annoy her.

Ray and Carlos live in the next larger town over and visit whenever they can. Ray usually brings his camera and helps Flynn out with keeping their website up to date. Carlos is adored by all the local kids cause he'll come guest coach for the school baseball teams when he's in town. I mean, who's gonna say no to some help from a AA professional? A couple of AAA teams have an eye on him though, he's hoping to move up soon. MLB, here he comes!

The whole gang has a big, rambley farmhouse near the clinic. It has character. Or at least that's what Reggie and Julie claim. Alex is more likely to call it busted, but whatever. Luke and Reggie are the main repair people of the house, but everyone chips in on the bigger remodel projects. Currently they're working on adding a big bay window to the living room.

Ack why do I talk so much?! Sorry this was probably more random stuff than you wanted, but... yeah that's what you get for asking me things I guess? Hope you liked it!

Ok. So we start Stranger Things season 3

I write this as I watch, so basically, it's real time watching with me only in just one post.

And we start of course with the most idiotic team of scientists that has ever lived on a tv series. Because SERIOUSLY, what were they expecting, opening the door again? Carebears? Rainbow Brite? No, of course not. Death and destruction, that's it.

Also, I hope the general dies painfully. He has that look of a main villain that I usually hate so yeah, death. Pleas. Soon.

And OH! They're russians. So they're ANOTHER team of very stupid scientists, not OUR stupid scientists. Of course. The Eighties and the cold war and the Red Scare. So... HOW did they get a gate?

(And no, seriously, Scientists in fiction are always the stupidest smartest people around. I'd be more annoyed by it if it wasn't because in RL we have Scientists making cloned mammoth meatballs so... yeah)

Mike is still an idiot I see. But those kids are not JUST one year older. No way.

Also, someone get Hooper a parenting manual and a hobby. And get El some standarts. Mike is way below her level.

Good to see Lucas and Max are still going strong. And that Max is now part of the party.

AWWW... Steve's coworker knows the kids as "His Children". And he lets them in to Rated B movies that they SHOULD NOT be watching. SO sweet. And Will is SO in love with Mike it's painful. Really, Mike, Eleven, GET some standarts. There are much, much better boys than Mike out there.

Also, I had seen Steve in the Scoops Ahoy's outfit before (hard not to in Tumblr) but NOTHING prepared me to the actual thing in action. He looks SO ADORABLE.

I see the series is now cribbing Resident Evil 2's homework.

Hooper's actor was getting ready for Red Guardian, right? His weight is fluctuating weirdly. Also, seriously, get Hopper a parenting manual, and while I agree that Mike is a terrible boyfriend, but he was a lot more sensible in seasons 1 and 2 than in this episode. Sure, he is now a single parent of a teenager, but he didn't use to be this... Alpha male toxic.

ANY parent would go "hey, you can't have your door closed when your boyfriend is here" and it would be OK. Yes, Kiss and all, but open door because you guys are not ready for being parents yourself, you idiots.

Just as I was about to wonder if I was going to end up commenting on there being no other SRs in the ten pull, Ruggie appears.

I've got seven ten pulls worth of gems left, hoping they're enough. (both because I would like to have gems leftover for future events, and because single keys are really fucking tedious)

God there were so many R cards before Sebek showed up.

And there were zero R cards before this Sebek showed up.

Ever since I noticed it, I keep thinking about Jade's conspicuous absence. Like not even a PE or School Uniform, where the fuck is he?

It's definitely okay to ask, and I loved the way you put the question! Especially because I've always said that, when it comes to KHR and most of my fandoms (there's only two fandoms where I have characters I actually don't really like), I can find something to enjoy in every character.

Now, I adore both of these characters. I really do love their storylines, their characterizations, all their intricacies, but Mukuro and Hibari are hard for me. I know I said it recently somewhere, but Martha in particular really helped me grow a love for Hibari as a character and Mukuro is just plain out really frigging fascinating to me, but they're hard for me because I really don't think I write them well. There's other writer's in this fandom who I think do such a better job of writing and portraying these two and I think I worry most about their characterizations most in my writing, to the point I'm like 'please don't let this suck too bad' every time I hit the post button for their requests.

I go through periods, depending on if I'm rereading and where I am in the manga, that I'll hate a character...for example, at certain points in the TYL! arc, I really, really hate Byakuran. But that's really the point of his character during that time, because he is the villain and you are supposed to hate him. It means he's well-written enough to make me interested and to make me give a shit about him, and honestly, I grow to love him again by the end. Same goes with Adelheid on her first initial appearances - I dislike her so much to begin with but she grows on me and Daemon Spade before we learn more about why he is the way he is.

Why cant I stop comparing myself to other perople, especially physically... i hate myself so much more when I do that and not just bc my body but also bc then I'm like looking at these people like they're just their bodies and I always think such cynical awful things and then I feel bad about my character and my body jeeeezzzz

Update Q3 is wonderful! I shouldn't have been so worried, my former classmates were/are happy to see me and my teacher is so cool, and SOOo hot, and he clearly loves to teach, and i want. him. to. choke. me. ...more importantly tho he's a really good teacher and I finally feel like I'm learning again

But MORE important there's a guy in my class that is TALLER than me and i get to look UP att himmm >_< it makes me feel small and I adore it. Also he's like 53 and looks 35 and would probably look even younger if he shaved his facial hair. I know he has kids but idk if he's married or in any relationship rn... not that i care... i care so much!!

Next: im killing so much time rn and I've been getting into some Knocked Loose, I had liked the one Poppy featured on and finally checked them out... so good! ...so frigging good
