The willpower it would honestly take Syl to even say the words "you were my friend". I know i can change them to fit how Syl would have been at the end of DAI but I actually think Syl would have said this. He was really close to Solas for a majority of inquisition and this feeds into his anger towards Solas and that reactivity he has towards him in trespasser. Syl wouldn't say it for a really really really long time but he misses that friendship he had with Solas.

The ten years between inquisition and veilguard would be a lot for him. He's going through his family being gone, living in a city that hates him and still needs to be freed from the venatori, his arm being gone so having to re-learn how to fight, and also the fact that he doesn't necessarily have a job to do since he disbanded the inquisition. He had the world on his shoulders and now that is just gone so what is he supposed to do now?

He takes in a little girl eventually and becomes a father with Dorian and this really shifts a lot of his perspective on the world. But when Solas is back and he finds out he has a younger brother that is taking up the mantle of stopping him, it brings up a lot of hurt and trauma for him. Having a family now really flips his thinking on it's head and sure he snaps back at people and catches himself falling back on past ways of thinking but overall, his hatred for Solas more than likely become less and less.

So when he finally has the chance to stand in front of him and actually speak to him, I do think this is what he would say (granted there would be more to it than 30 seconds lol) and I do think Solas would be a surprised that this is what he would say and make a quip about Syl's change of heart.

I keep thinking about the oc kiss week you posted and Syl'tal giving Nin a kiss on the hand as a reunion kinda thing ;A; Probably a few years after inquisition wraps up but he'd always be so happy to see Nin.

this made me laugh really hard for some reason and I think it’s just lack of sleep but if this were Syl, I can just hear him challenging Hanin to a push up contest and then getting mad when he loses. Syl would be one of the ones asking for ��extra instruction” at first and then just get angry that he isn’t as good.

Revas

15- What was the partner's reaction to Rook being imprisoned in the Fade? How did they cope? How did they react upon seeing Rook again?

Lucanis doesn't take a moment to breathe to try and bring Revas back. There's some regrets he's feeling and some things he wish he said before that whole fight takes place. Lucanis is researching and working with the others to figure out what needs to happen to bring Revas back, and bring him back in one piece. I think his way of coping was camping out in Revas' room. I don't know if he'd truly cope with it rather than pace anxiously hopped up on coffee and fiddling with one of Revas' hair ties. When Revas is back, it's honestly a lot of Lucanis reminding Revas that it's real and that he's back. Revas has doubts because Lucanis is one of the ones he saw in the fade so Lucanis is constantly reassuring him that it's real. They are holed up in Revas' rooms for a few days and everyone respects that with the caveat that they bring food and things to them. 

18-When all is said and done, where would they like to retire together? Is marriage in the cards for them? Children? Pets?

Retirement isn't in Reva's cards lol. Or Lucanis'. I don't think Revas would be able to retire, he has to constantly be doing something or he'll get bored. He loves his job as a Crow and I think it'd really take him dying during a contract to get him to stop. He is also not going to let Lucanis take on the role as First Talon alone, he's gonna be right there all the time. It's probably actually going to turn more into the both of them being First Talon behind the scenes because, again, Revas isn't going to let Lucanis shoulder that alone. He has some feelings with how that whole thing was done lol

Syl'tal

OOF lol. So regardless of everything happening, Syl'tal is in near constant communication with Dorian and when he just goes dark, Dorian does not handle it well. By now, they have a daughter and Syl'tal makes it a point to hear her voice every day. The only "good" thing is that Dorian quickly finds out why Syl'tal isn't available but that doesn't ease any of the concerns. Da'mi, their daughter, by now is a young teen and Dorian doesn't think it should be hidden from her why her father isn't calling. He has a really difficult time explaining it because Da'mi wants to know when he'll come back and Dorian doesn't have an answer. Da'mi doesn't handle it well because there's a lot of abandonment trauma so the fact that her dad is just gone brings some of that up. Throughout the time Syl'tal is missing, Dorian does what he can to be there for Da'mi and make sure she understands that even it's going to take years he'd do what he can to get Syl'tal back. There's a lot of distraction attempts and honestly, Dorian doesn't get to cope. He puts a lot of effort in being there for his kiddo. When Syl'tal is back, you can bet your ass that the first thing he does is go home. He literally gives no fucks what happened in the time he was gone, he just wants to see his family. There's some crying, a lot of hugging, and Syl'tal doesn't let go of Da'mi for days. Dorian finally feels like he can breathe and annoys Syl'tal by the constant check-ins. Dorian thinks Syl'tal doesn't know about how he watches him sleep to make sure he doesn't disappear again for the days that follow. During these times when everyone else is asleep, Dorian is up decompressing as best he can. He was so tense the whole time Syl'tal was gone and with him back, he feels his muscles unclench. He is sore and achy because of that tension but it's a feeling he welcomes because it means he can relax.

18- When all is said and done, where would they like to retire together? Is marriage in the cards for them? Children? Pets?

Syl'tal is married when Veilguard happens and does have Da'mi. When everything is over, it's the first time Dorian agrees to step away from everything for a vacation without any resistance. It doesn't really help that Syl'tal is begging him, thinking Dorian is going to put up an argument on why he can't leave. But seeing how exhausted Syl'tal is, Dorian is quick to agree. Dorian may not get to retire, but Syl'tal does and they plant their roots in Minrathous for the time being. Dorian will have to be ready for the possibility of moving in the future :) Syl'tal isn't one to stay in a single place forever.

1-Does your Rook fall for their partner at first sight? If not, what moment made your Rook realize they're in love with them?

Much to Dorian's dismay, he did not lol. Syl'tal initially was guarded around Dorian due to the whole 'human' thing. He had a very negative view towards humans and this whole "Herald" and "Inquisitor" thing was not helping to lessen that. Syl isn't sure when his feelings for Dorian started to bubble up but he can pinpoint when he realized he was falling in love with him. When Dorian went out on the balcony in Halamshiral after everything that happens there and they share a dance, Syl knew it was over then. There was no turning back for him. It's a bit rough after that because Syl has a fear of connecting with someone, especially with what all was going on around them. Dorian sticks it out though and doesn’t let Syl push him away. It's obvious to everyone but Syl how important Dorian is to him.

7- Are they a physically affectionate couple? Are they fine displaying those affections in public or do they prefer to be in private? If they're not, how do they prefer to show their love instead?

Initially not really because Revas doesn't push Lucanis. He waits for Lucanis to make the first moves whether it be a kiss, holding hands, or little touches. As time goes on and they talk about these things, they become increasingly physically affectionate. Revas love holding Lucanis' when they are just walking around. He likes to play with his hair when they are sitting and will doze off if Lucanis does the same to his. Privately, Lucanis lets Revas clean up his facial hair when he learns how steady a hand Revas has. Kinda nsfw so heads up. Revas is also really big on massages and just touching all over Lucanis in general lol. It doesn't always lead to anything sexual because it really is just Revas wanting to worship every part of Lucanis. It can become sexual and Revas does struggle a lot when it is done to him by Lucanis.

Thinking things and I'm super stoked.

So I can't have it be that Sy'tal's arm is gone in game my run with him as "rook" but the tattoo with Fen'Harel on it is perfect. I can see him making that a part of his prosthetic Dorian makes for him. Dorian doesn't really want it on there because he knows Syl tends to get stuck in the past if he thinks about it too hard but Syl wants it as a reminder of why he isn't just sitting down and letting someone else save the world. Edit causes I forgot! But his right ear is a little wonky cause of the whole incident with Solas at the end of Trespasser. When he lost his arm, the blowback from the mark being removed did some damage. This also explains more scars on his face!

He's part of the Shadow Dragons cause he lives in Minrathous after he disbands the inquisition because there is no one that is going to stop him from being with Dorian (even Dorian himself lmfao)

He's going to pick Treviso to save because he believes Dorian and the Shadow Dragons can handle it in Minrathous or at least hold down the fort until he can get there. He and Dorian make sure their daughter is somewhere safe regardless because it'd be Syl burning down the world if something happened to her lol

I think he is going to smooch Lucanis because I do hc him as poly so it could work if I want to. I don't know if I'm actually going to but we will see. Otherwise he's just not going to have any romance in this game which isn't the end of the world to me.

I had to do new photos of one of my favorite Syl moments which is him finding out they have to take a ship to Tural. He gets very seasick so this was not a great time for him. It ended with Thancred having to drag him off once they arrived 😔

I anwered this for both Reva and Syl because I have no chill when it comes to talking about them u-u I hope that's ok. I'm putting part of it under a read more cause it's long

Revas

13- What song(s) do you associate with them?

I'm realizing how many sad songs I have in my OC playlists lol. The song that gets me thinking about these two is A Little Bit Happy by TALK I think this pertains to both of them. Revas is good about hiding his insecurities and while praise is a sure way to get to him in certain aspects (coughcoughbedccoughcough), he doesn't actually take it seriously. This is why it's….uncomfortable for him if Lucanis shares how he truly sees or thinks of Revas. he same can be said for Revas to Lucanis. We know Lucanis has his own insecurities and it's hard for him to believe that Revas would be all in for him. Revas seems to easily share what it is about Lucanis that he loves in little comments or touches and it catches Lucanis off guard. The fact that he's got Spite hootin and hollerin in there not stopping Revas from wanting to pursue a relationship is a wild concept to him. Whereas Revas is very much "things could get interesting that’s for sure" and so nonchalant about it. That isn't to say they don’t have some serious conversations about this lol

14- Does your Rook get their partner any other gifts (besides the one already in-game)? Does the partner get Rook any? Any gifts that are particularly special?

Gift giving would be fairly new for Revas. Sure he's done things during contracts that may fall under "giving a gift" but the intention behind it is not as wholesome lol. So when it comes to giving gifts to Lucanis, he tries. In the beginning it's all coffee related because he knows how important coffee is to Lucanis lol. Eventually it starts to branch out and he finds things related to cooking/the kitchen. He's also attempted to make some kitchen utensils with the help of Davrin! Lucanis will give gifts and boy howdy are they sweet. Revas is vague in what he truly likes but nothing slips past a Crow :') Lucanis covers the real gift with rare plants or something Revas can use in poison mixtures. The real gifts tend to be jewelry or anything Dalish. He's able to slide those in with the plants and things and Revas doesn't know what to expect. The gestures are huge, especially when Lucanis finds a Dalish artifact or something. Revas doesn't talk about this part of him almost at all but Lucanis quickly catches on to the fact that he introduces himself as Revas Lavellan before Revas de Riva.

Syl'tal

13- What song(s) do you associate with them?

The one right now that is living in my head on a constant replay is Last Man Standing by Livingston. Syl'tal has such a huge title on him and burden to carry and it bleeds into his view of his relationship with Dorian. He holds a lot of doubt in himself and thinks if he didn't have the title of Inquisitor or the successes under his belt from everything, Dorian wouldn't give him the time of day. Luckily, that is not true at all and Dorian doesn't actually care about that. Sure he's glad that he was able to cross paths with Syl'tal, but the title and everything aren't what keeps him at Syl'tal's side. They do have a fairly big blowup because Syl'tal had tried to push Dorian away so many times and at some point Dorian was like nah this ain't it. It's a huge turning point in their relationship and Syl'tal sees it as a fresh start for them where he allows himself to actually love Dorian. I veered from the original question but this song really is a great depiction of that moment things change for them

14- Does your Rook get their partner any other gifts (besides the one already in-game)? Does the partner get Rook any? Any gifts that are particularly special?

Syl'tal is notorious for giving gifts. Usually he picks up random things that remind him of Dorian. A lot of times it's rocks or gems or perfumes. If Dorian makes a comment about liking something or wanting something, a day or so later it'll be on his desk. Dorian got Syl'tal a pretty big gift when he realized Syl'tal wasn't going to leave Minrathous after Inquisition ends. Syl'tal loves frogs and plants. So Dorian made sure that there was a place in their home that Syl'tal could have these things. There's a room that is basically a giant terrarium for him to play in. He finds frogs and will bring them back to put in there and take care of. This is something Syl'tal doesn't share with anyone except Dorian and Da'mi. He is very private about this because it's the best way to get him to ground. For a while there, it was also one of the few things that was motivating him to continue going forward. So as time goes on, Dorian's gifts usually consist of something that can go in that room or help with maintaining it.
