This is all beside the point anyway. How we determine whether or not something is legal isn't based on whether or not it benefits literally every citizen and it shouldn't be either and the only time this argument matters to conservatives is when it doesn't personally benefit them.

Tax breaks for the rich don't benefit the lower classes, the working people, or sick people either but I'm guessing conservatives wouldn't call that a "froo froo elite concern" (despite the fact that this one literally IS an elite concern.)

Yet something like forgiving student loan debt is something they're against because it's "unfair" to people who were wealthy enough to pay for college out of pocket to people who have already paid off their loans.

We shouldn't be debating this using their own logic - which for them is a pretense anyway, because they all know this isn't the actual reason they're opposed to it - by trying to prove that actually gay marriage (or any other issue they try to pull this bull shit on) does benefit everybody. We should be simply saying, "It doesn't fucking matter if it benefits everybody. Nothing is ever going to benefit everybody."

Even if we 'disproved' every single bull shit excuse they gave to justify their racism -#they would never stop being racist and they would just come up with more and more bull shit excuses to distract people.#That's what's happening here.
