Updated for Gen 8, my favourite pokemon by type! Compared to this version of my faves (and this awesome gif version made by my beloved) from just under a year ago, it’s interesting to see some longtime favourites of mine finally got dethroned by the new generation. Though it certainly didn’t come without some hard fought decisions...

#Once again this was made with the following rules in mind:#No mega evolutions and no legends #I can't believe my beloved Wishiwashi was finally taken down by my dopey cormorant son #Crobat finally unseated from gen 2 fame by a pair of punk rockers #And similarly so was Houndoom by Obstagoon #Also I realized a crucial error of my ways that NINJASK WAS LEFT OFF THIS LIST LAST TIME #Sorry Staraptor but the flying title has to go to my fast bug because Vika's still got their pincers in the bug category #Also I can see that a lot of my faves are influenced by the most recent generation #Had plenty of gen 7 when I did this last year #Now lots of gen 8 this time around #I guess I like new friends XD #Pokemon #Edit
