Anyways rise of skywalker is a good movie and a good star wars movie. It's a bit messy, which is consistent with every star wars property released since Return of the Jedi, but it finds it's footing early on and concludes everyone's character arcs in satisfying ways. While Palpatine's return wasn't strictly needed, it ties everything up in a neat bow that feels climactic.
