hi! I have a question, how do I write the movements of a ballerina? I'm writing a novel and now I'm at the part where my protagonist is dancing ballet for an audience in the theater. Could you help me with how to write her movements? I'm in doubt about how to write this
Some Ballet Vocabulary
Adagio: “Slow tempo.” In ballet, a tempo in which the dancer moves slowly and gracefully.
Allegro: “Brisk tempo.” In ballet, a tempo in which the dancer moves briskly and excitedly.
Allongé: “Elongated.” An adjective used to describe poses that are stretched and elongated, like an arabesque.
Arabesque: A pose in which the dancer stands on one leg—either straight or demi-plié, and either flat-footed or en pointe—while extending the other leg straight behind at a right angle. The shoulders are square with the arms held to create a long line from fingertips to toes.
Arriére: "Backwards." A move that indicates backwards movement or motion.
Ballón: “To bounce.” A light jump. Used to indicate the delicacy of the movement or jump.
Chaseé: To slide.
Elevé: A rise upward onto the toes.
En l’air: "In the air." Indicates a movement or leg position that is held in the air.
Fondu: To melt (a melting action).
Frappé: To strike (like lighting a match on the floor).
Glissade: To glide.
Jeté: To throw.
Pas de deux: A “dance for two,” or duet, in classical ballet.
Petit saut: A small jump.
Pirouette: A complete turn of the body on one foot, either turning inward or outward, with the body centered over the supporting leg, the arms propelling the turn but remaining stationary during the turn, and the eyes “spotting” a fixed point while the head quickly turns.
Promenade: A slow pivot of the body while standing on one leg.
Rèvèrence: “Bow”. Traditional port-de-bras and port-de-corps showing respect and gratitude to the ballet master or audience.
Tournant: “Turn.” A term paired with a movement to indicate a body turn.
Variation: A solo in classical ballet.
Although ballet actually began in Italy, it was formalized in France in the 17th century. Ballet terminology has remained largely in the French language. Ballet dancers across the world learn and can communicate with this universal ballet vocabulary.

Thankfully the week had passed and with the help of Chase, you were able to ace your history test.
Your friendship with Bree was going smoothly. When you had time the two of you would gossip about others, talk about boys, or the latest episode of Vampire Diaries. Your Saturday morning was bleak, your older brother who had become your guardian, was covering a coworker's shift, leaving you alone in the tiny apartment you shared. A heavy sigh left your lips as you sipped on a cup of jasmine tea. Buzz buzz...
Your phone screen lit up with a picture of Chase. His contact image was a photo of the two of you during lunch when you had accidentally matched colors. His smile matched yours as both of you faced the camera. Seeing his arm around you in the photo brought a familiar heat to your core. The message read, "Tasha and Davenport are heading out, want to come over?" Excitedly you changed out of your pajamas leaving the house in a pink skirt and white blouse. With no time to do your hair, you clipped it up leaving a few strands in your face.
Chase jolted at the sound of the doorbell and hurried to open it. The moment his eyes fell on you, a breath caught in his throat. You looked... different—your hair swept up, framing your face in a way that softened your features, lending you an air of delicate elegance.
As you stepped past him and into the room, his gaze dropped to your blouse. Resting just above your chest, a gold, heart-shaped locket gleamed, rising and falling with the subtle rhythm of your breath. The gentle rise and fall seemed to command his attention, while the sweet fragrance of your perfume wrapped around him, dizzying in its allure.
"You look beautiful," he whispered, the words escaping him in a hushed, almost reverent tone, as though the sight of you demanded nothing less.
You took a seat on the couch as Davenport and Tasha came in carrying their luggage. "This is so exciting! I've never been to Australia before!" You stood back up to greet them, "You're going to love it! The hiking and beaches are to die for." Another voice from the door spoke up, "Maybe you'll like it so much you won't come back!"
Tasha rolled her eyes at the AI before continuing, "Honey do you have the plane tickets?" "Plane tickets? We are taking my fully automated private jet." He grinned. You poked Chase's side, "Oh lala fancy."
"Leo this is your chance to prove you're responsible enough to stay home without us." Leo looked baffled and pointed to the siblings, "me what about them?"
Davenport looked at you cautiously, "They're responsible enough...you on the other hand were designed to break things." He eyed Leo down. Leo pushed the couple out the door, "Don't worry it'll be fine enjoy your trip!"
The minute they left Adam and Bree shouted "Woo party!" and left to do their own plans, leaving you and Chase...and Leo. Chase side-eyed Leo as if saying, "How about you beat it so I can hang out with the girl I like." It appeared Leo wasn't as receptive and stayed in place. The three of you sat on the couch in painful silence before Leo decided to get up and play with his toys/action figures, leaving you, Chase, and a large gap between the two. You turned to Chase, "I know you and your family are coming to see my show next week, but would you like to see what I've been practicing so far?" He nodded eagerly. You stood up and played the music for your solo on your phone. Deep breaths in. Deep breaths out. In. Out.
Ballet was more than movement; it was your escape, your body bending and stretching in ways that felt both impossible and freeing, guided not by thought but by the rhythm that pulsed through the music. The Rose Adagio—your long-awaited solo—was your moment to demonstrate the intimate conversation between body and melody.
Chase’s gaze never wavered. Every spin, every leap you made seemed to pull him deeper into your world, as if he, too, was part of the dance. His eyes followed you with an intensity that felt like a silent partner, mirroring your every step. Each graceful leap was weightless, landing so softly it was as if the air itself caught you. As the music swelled, you moved with a passionate fluidity, your skirt sweeping through the air like petals caught in a gentle breeze. The symphony crescendoed, and even from across the room, you could feel him sway with the rising tide of emotion in your dance as if the music had tethered him to you.

You stopped breathing slightly harder, "Well um...what did you think?" nervously shuffling your hands together. Chase snapped out of his reverie and took one step before playing his arms around your lefts and lifting you up, spinning you around. "That was the most amazing dance I've ever seen, the way you move was like a swan descending into the water, it was like... it was like the feeling of the first autumn breeze." He rambled on with many beautiful comparisons but you were too busy staring into his eyes. Overcome with happiness, you grabbed his face and softly planted your lips on his.

Chase paused before leaning in, one hand on your waist the other holding your jaw. This was no kiss of lust but one of appreciation for each other. His heart thumped against his chest, deeper and deeper.
The smell of his natural cologne invaded your senses, his lips pressed against yours, your noses brushing up occasionally. Your hand grabbed his hard muscle the other lightly resting on his stomach. You sunk in his embrace, letting his lips brush against yours before interlocking again. Your hand moved up and down his waist feeling the heat of his skin. Your thumb mindlessly toying with his waistband. The two of you broke apart immediately letting the forgotten air fill your lungs. The phantom feeling of the kiss lingered as you took sight of his flushed face.
"I love you." He blurted out.
Your eyes widened. He stammered, "I mean no I don't, I mean I like you but we also just met, and I love you?" You stepped back, "I'm sorry Chase look I really like you but..." You stopped not knowing what to say back. It wasn't that you DIDN'T love him, but rather you didn't know what love was. This wasn't your first rodeo with a boy, but your previous relationship was nothing like this one. The first boy you ever "went out" with was immature and only liked you for your body. Rather than waiting for you to finish, Chase turned around and ran. You stood there not knowing what to do. It would be weird to run after him in his own house. You packed up your stuff and left, you'd try to talk to him tomorrow.

These days Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is mainly associated with his later works. Born in 1935 he wrote ‘avant-garde’ works at first. In the nineteen seventies he increasingly found his inspiration in medieval religious music, both western and eastern European. This first transpired in his Für Alina for piano. It already has the telling low tempo and (two) layers. Pärt further extended his so-called tintinnabuli (i.e. bells) style in small-scale pieces like the different versions of Spiegel im Spiegel and Variationen zur Gesundung von Arinuschka. Although this last piece has ‘classical’ features as well.

The Top Ten Female Vaganova Graduates of the Past Ten Years: Then and Now (Part II)
2020 - Anastasia Smirnova (First Soloist at Stanislavksy):
Another total no-brainer, she was the clear star of her graduating year, even though there were so many other strong graduates that year and there was no graduation performance due to COVID. At only fourteen she won the Diana Vishneva Prize at the Vaganova Prix and danced several roles with Mikhailovsky while still a student. After graduating, she joined the Mikhailovksy as a soloist, left to dance in the corps de ballet for six months at the Mariinsky, before returning and shortly afterwards was promoted to First Soloist. At the start of this season she left the Mikhailovsky again to join the Stanislavsky as a First Soloist. She also won 2nd prize at IBC Moscow in 2022.
Role I'd love to see her début: Esmeralda

2021 - Maria Chernyvskaya (Mariinsky Coryphée):
The 2021 graduating class was a more low-key class than in the preceding few years, but it still had quite a few strong graduates. Chernyvskaya finished at the top of her class and performed the lead role of Swanhilda in Act 3 of Coppélia at her graduation. She was promoted to coryphée after only a year and a half as the Mariinsky. Her biggest roles at the Mariinsky currently include Carmen, Rubies Soloist, Etruscans in Spartacus, and Queen of the Snowflakes. Chernyvskaya possesses sharp and fiery qualities that are rarer in the Mariinsky ranks, similar to dancers like Bulanova and Tkachenko.

2022 - Maria Shevela (Mariinsky Corps de Ballet):
The 2022 class was largely overshadowed by the 2023 class in their graduation performances and Shevela was one of the few students of her class to be given a soloist role, where she performed Part 3 of Classical Symphony. She also danced numerous solo roles in smaller concerts and joined the Mariinsky after her graduation. She predominantly dances in the corps de ballet, but she also often performs in coryphée and smaller soloist roles. I personally really have a soft spot for Shevela, I think she's a lovely dancer and shows great technical ability. I particularly enjoy when she dances in trios with Ustyuzhanina and Lyskova as seen in the clip below.
Role I'd love to see her début: 11th Waltz in Chopiniana

2023 - Maria Koshkareva (Bolshoi Soloist):
The 2023 graduating class reminded me a lot of the 2018 and 2015 graduating classes, with so much talent that many dancers who would have been clear stars of their class in other years were one of many in 2023. Koshkareva's had the most hype even among such a strong class since her performance in Conservatory in the 2021 graduation, and afterwards performed leading roles in the Nutcracker, Gioconda, Classical Symphony, and The Garden Scene of Le Corsaire during her last two years at Vaganova. She also won first prize in the junior category of IBC Moscow and was, along with Kuprina and Zinchenko, given a trainee position at the Mariinsky during her final year of schooling. After graduation, she joined the Bolshoi directly as a soloist. In my opinion, she had a slightly rocky first season due to how much was piled on her straight away by management, but now has really gained her footing with strong Kitri and Angela débuts this season. She also has greatly improved her Gamzatti and had a beautiful Masha debut last year. In all, I wouldn't be surprised if she received a promotion to First Soloist soon.

2024 - Alisa Barinova (Mariinsky Corps de Ballet):
Alisa Barinova performed as a beautiful Gulnare in Vaganova's 2023 graduation where she was one of the few younger dancers who was featured alongside such a dominant graduating class. She then had a strong final year at Vaganova, which she ended by performing as Aurora in Act 3 of the Sleeping Beauty in the 2024 show. I found that she showed great technical strength in a very challenging role. She has only been at the Mariinsky for a few months ago but she has already debuted several important soloist roles there, such as Prince's Friends in Swan Lake and Flower-sellers in Don Quixote.
Role I'd love to see her début: Almehs in La Fille du Pharaon

Capítulo 8: Angustias
-solo un poco mas... -susurra Sonata a la espera de su pan tostado, observando detenidamente la tostadora y esperando pacientemente a que esté listo.
Ya estaba a punto de estropearse pero no se daba por vencida, solo queria un desayuno nutritivo a las 6:30 de la mañana.
Al pasar los segundos parecía que sería una pérdida de tiempo ya que no hubo señal de que realmente funcione, mostrando preocupación al respecto.
De manera repentina, la tostadora lanzó los dos panes, causando que la chica de cabello celeste le de un fuerte susto.
De forma veloz agarra su plato, atrapandolos antes de caigan al suelo y salvandolos al instante.
- estuvo cerca. -susurra ella, suspirando de alivio y agarrando un pequeño cuchillo, hurtando los panes con mantequilla.
Le quedo perfecto y sabroso, estando lista para comer, sin embargo, faltaba Aria para comer juntas y eso la preocupaba un poco.
Al ir a su dormitorio, no encontró rastro de ella, parece que se levanto antes y eso era inesperado para ella.
- ¿acaso se levantó temprano? -se pregunta a si misma, viendo por la ventana de la casa-movil para saber si estaba afuera, lo cual aserto correctamente.
Aria se encontraba sentada, disfrutando una bella mañana aunque este haciendo demasiado frio pero no le importa en lo mas mínimo, solo miraba el cielo nublado mientras escuchaba musica.
- ¿Aria? -pregunta Sonata, saliendo afuera rápidamente.
Para su mala suerte, siente una fuerte brisa congelada, provocando muchos escalofrios a la pobre chica, teniendo que regresar y ponerse su sudadera. En una pequeña distraccion, su hermana de cabello morado alcanza a escucharla, teniendo que quitarse uno de los audifonos.
- ¿eh? -pregunta muy confundida, volteando a ver la puerta de la casa-movil.
Justo llega Sonata abrazándose a si misma para soportar el frio.
-buenos días Sonata. -saluda, sonriéndole de manera suave.
- ¿n-no crees que es drástico estar afuera con este f-frío? -pregunta tartamudeando, comiendo de poco a poco su pan tostado. – y buenos dias, por cierto.
-no te preocupes tanto, estoy relajándome por un rato y creeme que no tiene nada de malo. -explica Aria sonriendo de manera despreocupada, volviendo a recostarse. -tengo puesta la sudadera, los guantes y mi gorrito.
- s-si pero te recuerdo que esta nevando. -menciona Sonata, soplando sus manos para sentir calor.
-lo se. -dice sonriendo. -es bueno despertarse sintiendo la brisa en todo tu cuerpo. -al decir eso, confunde mucho a la chica de cabello celeste.
- lo llevas haciendo por un dia y medio. -le reprocha, mirándola seriamente.
-porfavor hermana, hay que aprovechar que estamos las dos para tomar unos días libres. -le sigue diciendo, tratando de convencerla de que no se preocupe de mas.
- comprendo tu punto pero ¿no te preocupa Adagio? -pregunta Sonata.
- creo que no. -responde sin ninguna molestia.
-no seas tan grosera, no ha regresado desde el incidente del centro comercial y ya seria signo de preocupación. -le dice la chica con los nervios subiendo lentamente.
-no soy grosera, digamos que soy sincera acorde a la situación. -contesta Aria al mismo tiempo que se vuelve a acomodar para volver a mirar el cielo. -no deberias preocuparte de mas, puede hacerte daño.
El ultimo comentario indigna un poco a su hermana menor, quien solo la observa confundida.
-me causa mas daño pensar que una de nosotras podría estar en un posible peligro. -menciona Sonata de una manera seria.
-no sigas Sonata.. -susurra, masajeando parte de su cara para calmar la frustración por lo que está escuchando.
-quien sabe de lo que puede pasarle a Adagio si tiene ese raro cristal en sus manos y no estamos haciendo nada al respecto para evitar que le ocurra algo. -seguía diciendo ella
A los pocos segundos, la chica de cabello morado ya molesta debido a tanta palabrería se levanta, pateando la misma silla donde se había sentado y asustando a la chica de cabello celeste.
- ¡¿y a mi que me importa lo que a ella le pase?! ¡¡te preocupas tanto por esa puta cuando ella jamás nos pidió disculpas por los malos tratos que hemos recibido antes de la batalla de las bandas!! -le grita furiosa, agarrándola fuerte de la sudadera al instante.
-A-aria.. -decía nerviosa pero preocupada, tratando de liberarse. – m-me lastimas..
Esas palabras causa que la chica de cabello morado vuelva a la realidad, soltandola rápidamente al mismo tiempo que retrocedía.
Sonata estaba asustada al grado de hiperventilar un poco y Aria sabía lo que ha hecho, arrepintiéndose al momento y limitando a solo dar un fuerte suspiro.
- me disculpo por mi comportamiento. -dice avergonzada, mirando aun con la pena.
La chica de cabello celeste solo seguia mirandola, dejando incomoda la situación.
-el punto es que Adagio va a estar bien, se sabe cuidar sola así que no podría imaginarme una situación donde esté en peligro. -explica Aria en un tono suave, acariciando las mejillas de su hermana. -confia en mi.
Sonata se queda pensativa al respecto.
-es que me da mala espina todo lo que ha pasado. -le confiesa temerosa, tomando con delicadeza las manos de la chica de cabello morado. -confio en ti pero.. es nuestra hermana… la quiero mucho a pesar de lo que ha ocurrido o cualquier situación del pasado…
- oh, por favor Sonata, ¿acaso la líder de las Dazzlings se meteria en problemas? -pregunta de manera sarcástica.

Adagio intentaba caminar entre tanta nieve pero le era complicado por el fuerte frio que hacía, teniendo que apartarlo con las manos incluso pateandolo.
- regreso y me encuentro con toda esta maldita nieve, que sorpresa. -se dice a si misma, irritada por la situación.
- ¡¡pero que bonito!! -dice Dagi, quedando muy entusiasmado por ver los copos de nieve caer y que alrededor suyo haya demasiado, mas por saber que puedes moldearlos a voluntad para crear muchas formas. - ¿tu mundo ha sido así de blanco? -pregunta la entidad celeste, volteando a ver a la rubia.
- parece que es la primera vez.. -responde con dificultad debido al esfuerzo por quitar la nieve de su camino. – hace dos dias que todo empezó a nevar de repente, en plena primavera. -agrega ella, confundida por ese cambio tan extraño sucedido de la noche a la mañana.
Eso deja pensativo a Dagi.
- ¿posiblemente sea por las anomalías? -propone la teoría en forma de pregunta.
- ¿el cristal rosa provoco esto? suena muy descabellado. -dice Adagio sonriéndole, parece que no le cree en su totalidad. - ¿no crees?
- ya lo deberías saber, usaste mucho esa cosa ¿acaso lo olvidas? -le devuelve la pregunta, contradiciendo a la rubia al instante.
Lo último le causa mucha vergüenza, teniendo que voltear a otro lado mientras se abraza a si misma para calentarse un poco.
- deja de ver mis recuerdos por favor. -le dice enojada aun con las mejillas rojas.
-disculpame. -dice la entidad riendo un poco. -cambiando el tema, ya deberíamos estar cerca de tu casa.
Al decirlo, la chica de cabello amarillo observó a la distancia la casa-móvil, confirmando lo dicho.
Era extraño pero no le causó ninguna alegría volver ahí, no después de la situación tensa que se ha generado por culpa de sus extrañas “alucinaciones”, no pudiendo evitar sentirse mas incomoda y se notaba por su cara.
- oye, todo saldrá bien. -le dijo Dagi preocupado, quedando frente a ella. - ¿Qué tal si comienzas con unos rápidos ejercicios de respiración? -le pregunta con una gran sonrisa para ocultar sus nervios, mostrándole un pequeño ejemplo de cómo hacerlo.
Para su mala suerte, la rubia lo apartó de su camino.
- quítate. -le dice al momento de hacerlo, comenzando a caminar hacia la casa-movil.
Eso ofendió un poco a la pobre entidad celeste pero puede comprender que lo haga porque debe estar muy nerviosa así que lo deja pasar mientras que Adagio comienza a dar respiraciones lentas ya después de pensar la técnica que le recomendó Dagi.
Realmente no sabia que decirles a sus hermanas después del escándalo en el centro comercial, fue un momento humillante para ella y no podía encontrar las palabras necesarias, sin embargo, tenia que tomar la valentía necesaria para al menos pedir disculpas.
Mientras tanto, Sonata alcanza a observar desde la distancia a la chica de cabello amarillo, emocionandose por verla sana y salva.
- ¡Adagio! -grito aliviada, corriendo hacia ella pero llamando la atención de Aria, quien ve sorprendida como corre a abrazar a su hermana.
Por su parte, la misma se asusta por la acción repentina de la chica de cabello celeste, quien no la soltaba.
- ¡creíamos que te había ocurrido algo malo! -le dice preocupada, manteniendo su abrazo.
- pero estoy bien. -dice Adagio muy confundida pero soltando una pequeña risa nerviosa, intentando devolverle el abrazo.
Dagi queda conmovido por ese hermoso reencuentro, no pudiendo evitar mirarlos con una gran sonrisa romántica.
La unica que al parecer no le esta agradando es Aria; fue desagradable ver como la rubia hizo un escandalo y nisiquiera sabe el motivo, esto junto a los diferentes malos tratos psicológicos que ha recibido no es de extrañar que le tenga un poco de rencor.
Por ahora debe calmarse y dejar todo eso a un lado, esto por el bien de Sonata.
- veo que te encuentras bien después de todo. -menciona sarcásticamente la chica de cabello morado, acercándose a ella.
-si… estas en lo correcto. -le dice sonriendo un poco, apartando un poco a su hermana de cabello celeste, quien da pequeños aplausos de lo feliz que esta.
- aunque te ves distinta.. -dice Aria, observando la nueva sudadera color negra que traía puesto. - ¿me podrias explicar porque?
- ¿te refieres a esto? -al preguntarle, Adagio jala su capucha para mostrarle mas de cerca. -tuve un breve accidente, tu entiendes.
La chica de cabello morado la mira con la ceja levantada, claramente desconfía de su explicación mientras que Sonata está muy confundida.
-ustedes saben.. los “fans tóxicos” -explica la rubia dando una sonrisa casi forzada. – si que son peligrosos esas personas… -agrega entredientes.
- ¿estas bien? -le pregunta Dagi, estando igual que la chica de cabello celeste.
-descuiden las dos, estoy bien.. muy bien. -lo último lo ha dicho dirigiéndose hacia la entidad, mirándolo de reojo.
- pense que les dirías sobre lo que te iban a hacer esos maleantes del callej- antes de que Dagi diga algo mas, Adagio lo interrumpe al instante.
- estoy muy cansada, fue una noche larga y es mejor que me vaya a dormir. -dice rápidamente aunque les muestra una ligera sonrisa, estirando los brazos. - ¿ustedes no estan cansadas?
- acabamos de despertar. -menciona Sonata, riendo un poco. -incluso hemos desayunado
- y me alegro por eso pero pienso que es mejor una pequeña siesta para reponer energías. -explica la rubia sonriendo un poco. -ya después desayuno algo.
- esta bien hermana pero si ocurre algo puedes contar con nosotras. -le recomienda la chica de cabello celeste dando una cálida sonrisa, tomando su mano con cuidado.
Adagio se confunde un poco al ver el gesto, no sabia que decir pero tal ves esta agradecida por ese detalle.
No le daba tanta importancia que digamos asi que solo le dio las gracias para después entrar al vehículo, cerrando la puerta y dejando a las dos hermanas quienes observaban; una preocupada y la otra escéptica al tema.
- es mejor que si vaya a descansar.. -menciona Aria, tratando de animar a Sonata.
- creo que tienes razon, se veia tan.. indiferente. -le dice la misma, la situación le entristecía un poco. - ¿crees que fue una noche muy larga para ella?
La pregunta confunde mas a la chica de cabello morado, quien la mira con una sonrisa burlona.
- te preocupas demasiado Sonata. -dice a modo de broma, acariciando su cabello de forma juguetona.
Su hermana solo se peina de nuevo, sacando la lengua como respuesta.
-estoy hablando demasiado en serio Aria. -le responde con total seguridad.
- lo tengo muy en claro “Lady Taco” -menciona ella, aguantando las ganas de reirse.
El momento divertido dura poco al sonar una notificacion en su celular, algo que le pica la curiosidad a la chica de cabello morado. Sin pensarlo dos veces, reviso de lo que se trataba.
- oh cielos. -dice sorprendida, teniendo que leer la noticia de nuevo para ver si no era falso.
- ¿Qué? ¿Qué ocurre? -pregunta Sonata, picandole tambien la curiosidad de saber que era.
Sin pensarlo, ella tambien saca su celular, mostrando una gran sonrisa al saber de lo que se trataba.
- ¡ya se que es lo que la puede animar! -grita entusiasmada por volver al centro comercial, lugar donde sera el evento mencionado en las noticias.
Aria solo se limita a mirarla con la ceja levantada, dudando si esto funcionara.

- Seré curioso pero ¿Por qué no les dijiste nada? -pregunta Dagi confundido por la discreción, mirando como la líder de Las Dazzlings está quitándose la sudadera para estar mas comoda.
- es demasiado obvio del porque; no es un tema muy bueno para conversar con mis hermanas ni con nadie. -le responde indignada, quitándose los tenis.
- ¿Por qué? -sigue preguntando.
Eso irrita a Adagio.
- no es como si llegara y les diga: “hey chicas, les cuento que tres maleantes me rodearon para casi violarme” -explica de forma sarcástica, imitando la voz de una niña pequeña mientras lo hace.
La entidad sintió mucha curiosidad por la última palabra.
- ¿Qué es “violar”? – pregunta con inocencia, algo que deja atónita a la chica de cabello amarillo.
- ¿lo ves? Ahí está mi punto. -le dice un poco asqueada, terminando por sentarse en su cama. -ademas… no pueden saber lo que ocurrio con ellos al final.
- pero se lo merecían. -menciona la entidad, mostrando una pequeña sonrisa. -… ¿verdad?
Eso llama mucho la atención de la rubia, quien lo comienza a mirar.
-supongo que si pero… no me he sentido cómodo en toda la noche; ¿acaso hubo otras alternativas? ¿Debí huir de ahí o era mejor solo dejarlos noqueados? Tal vez si estuvo bien porque era defensa personal ¿no?... realmente no lo se, sea lo que sea no me ha hecho sentir mejor, es complicado cuando intentas pensar en otra cosa pero ese recuerdo sigue ahí, atormentandote cada segundo. -explica Dagi muy preocupado por sus acciones, dudando si lo que hizo estuvo bien o mal.
Adagio solo se limita a mostrar una rápida sonrisa de orgullo.
- me estas cayendo mejor. -le dice a modo de broma para después acostarse. -puedes dudarlo en otra parte si quieres. -agrega ella, no queriendo que la moleste mas.
Eso último dejando pensativo a la pequeña entidad, quien solo la miraba muy preocupado de si mismo pero comprende que quiera descansar así que se desvanece poco a poco.
-supongo que te veo despues. -se despide sonriendo un poco antes de desaparecer completamente.
Adagio solo lo escuchaba, dando un ligero suspiro de alivio por que almenos le dará un respiro por estas horas.
-tomas posesión de mi cuerpo sin permiso y ahora somos “amigos”.. -se dice a si misma, soltando una pequeña risa con solo pensarlo. -que patético suena.
Después de varios minutos de estar mirando la pared, decide sacar su celular para revisar algunas cosas, no sin antes averiguar si ninguna de sus hermanas está con ella o incluso si Dagi no esta en una esquina para molestarla.
Al saber que no hay moros en la costa, comenzó a leer todos los mensajes de un chat.
Por alguna razón, ella se sentía calmada con cada texto que pasaba pero algo le dolía en el fondo de su corazón, sin embargo, eso no la detuvo y continuaba leyendo de lo que parecía ser una conversacion con alguien en particular.
Era demasiado extraño pero ella hubiera deseado que las cosas fueran diferentes, así hubieran hablado por mas tiempo; decirle de las cosas que estaban pasando sobre Dagi, los extraños recuerdos que tuvo y la inseguridad que esta sintiendo sobre si misma.
Hubiera dado todo lo que fuera para volver a hablar con el…

Varias camionetas blindadas se encontraban fuera de la tienda de disfraces, algunos soldados estaban vigilando el perímetro y algunos se encontraban dentro buscando cualquier evidencia que les sirva de ayuda.
- ¿alguna persona estuvo aquí toda la noche y provocó todo este desastre? -pregunta seriamente la mujer de anteojos, tratando de encontrarle lógica a lo que trata de explicar.
- le juro que eso fue exactamente lo que pasó; en la mañana fui a trabajar y una persona estaba adentro, no lo pude identificar bien pero escapó como un cobarde al momento de confrontarlo. -le explica de nuevo el dueño de la tienda, enojado por la situación.
Cindy estaba sorprendida por la información dada, sin embargo, lo que la carcome por dentro es el hecho de que estuvo en una tienda de disfraces, era simplemente extraño que de la nada fue a probarse ropa asi despues de matar a los maleantes del callejón.
- muchas gracias. -agradece la mujer de anteojos y va con Sarah, quien estaba al pendiente de cualquier prueba. - ¿hubo novedades?
La mujer lo niega, estresada por no encontrar alguna respuesta del porque la chica de cabello amarillo estuvo en este lugar.
- ¿estas segura que esa chica fue real? -pregunta Sarah desconfiada de que las grabaciones que le han mostrado sean verídicas, cosa que ofende a Cindy.
- te mostre las grabaciones varias veces ¿de verdad lo dudas ahora? Se trataba de Adagio. -le responde con total seguridad pero indignada.
-se que es una personaje de caricaturas, como si eso no pasara todos los días… -dice cansada de tantas anomalías que están ocurriendo desde el 2012. -pero dudo mucho que llegue por aquí como si nada, solo mira a tus hombres: tal vez perdemos el tiempo por un acto de vandalismo que algún niño se le ocurrió hacer a la mitad de la noche. -le explica ahora preocupada por el afán que esta teniendo la mujer de anteojos en el caso.
-no debemos perder la esperanza, tengo la corazonada de que surgirá algo que sirva como una pista y asi estar mas cerca de atraparla. -le dice Cindy con mucha determinación.
Su comentario le provoca a Sarah una pequeña carcajada.
- ¿corazonada? -le pregunta sonriéndole. - te encanta escucharte a ti misma ¿no es así?
Las mejillas de la mujer de anteojos se vuelven rojas, teniendo que mirar a otro lado para evitar la vergüenza.
-solo estaba dando ánimos. -dice como excusa, soltando una pequeña risa tambien.
- ya casi llegas a los 50 y aun asi no cambias nunca… -susurra con las manos en la cintura, dando un ligero suspiro. -por eso te amo pequeña idiota. -le dice de broma, abrazándola un poco mientras le sonreía.
- ¿pequeña? mira quien lo dice, la que llegará a los 40. -le menciona, devolviéndole la broma. -ya casi llegas a la vejez tu tambien y no te diste cuenta.
Eso deprime a Sarah.
- Touché. -dice ella, aceptando su “derrota”.
En un momento mas calmado, un soldado se acerca a las dos con la intención de mostrar buenas noticias.
- señora, encontramos esto. -al decirlo, les muestra la sudadera morada que llevaba Adagio, llamando la atención de la mujer de anteojos.
- ¿y eso? -pregunta atónita por ver la prenda.
-al parecer fue encontrado en uno de los pasillos de la tienda, se ve sucio y casi destruido pero podríamos creer que se trata de la chica de la grabación. -explica el hombre uniformado, entregándoles la clara evidencia.
Sarah se impresiona al verlo mientras que Cindy lo sujeta con orgullo.
- te dije que tenía una corazonada. -le dice mostrando una gran sonrisa, subiendo sus esperanzas de que las investigaciones sobre la líder de Las Dazzlings den frutos.
Va a un paso adelante y ni siquiera requirió la ayuda de Richard, ella cree que ya no es necesario…

an update headcanon from the og post:
polly’s new to the orchestra!! very emotional, expressive but straightforward playing. he can be too loud sometimes (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t). there is a certain naivety to his playing during aa4-1 plot. was a student under kristoph (learning performance). wanted to learn some soloist tips from phoenix but then shit went down (aa4-1).
his go-tos:
either of these gershwin pieces is apollo’s favourite to play bc he gets be loud (rhapsody in blue is his favourite to play in a symphony (he likes to warm up with that solo clarinet opening) and the 1st prelude is his go to chamber piece). but also i chose gershwin bc it’s more jazz heavy than classical and it’s similar to the actual aa4 music (which is more jazz/blues than the trilogy music). additionally, gershwin was actually denied studying under many famous people like ravel and nadia boulanger bc he already had such a distinct style (ravel even said that he would just make gershwin into a bad ravel if he were to teach him). i think it’s kinda similar to apollo who, unlike phoenix in aa1, has a distinct personality right from his debut (game mechanics wise) and phoenix basically did not mentor apollo at all and instead used him for his own gains
interestingly, i chose a mozart piece for apollo bc mozart is fairly straightforward, simple yet has that element of improvisation. which i think matches apollo’s tendencies in court: wanting everything to be straightforward but he can improvise his way through tricky situations like the end of aa4-4 to convict kristoph (with the help of phoenix, or lack there of). but this movement is actually slow and almost has that emotional aspect? which i think apollo likes that. (also hinting that connection with lamiroir (i think she would be an opera singer here) and clarinet being the closest thing to the human voice)
i actually kinda also associate him with tchaikovsky, very passionate, very emotional (apollo cares a lot!!). but since tchaik didn’t write much for solo clarinet, i put his violin concerto here since it has a clarinet (and oboe but mostly clarinet) opening in the 2nd movement
(also hint hint for sb in particular)

I do love his 4th symphony!! i actually recently got to see a live performance and it really let me appreciate it a lot more!! ive only seen mahler 2 and 4 so far :)
i instantly loved the last movement, the solo voice is so rich and beautiful. it took me longer to see and understand the 3rd movement, but now that i know it's basically mahler dangling resolution in front of you on a stick and making you chase it around i really really enjoy it. ESPECIALLY that juicy last chord of mvmt 3 that sets you up for mvmt 4. OUGH. it's close to my fav slow mahler movement for sure. although I'd pick the 3 adagio first ^_^ and then 2.4. and 6.3 is in the running too. hehe
overall in terms of symphonies i love, mahler 4 is up there! if i had to rate it out of 10 in terms of my own personal enjoyment it would probably make a 7? i do like it but if I had to rank every MAHLER symphony specifically it would be at the bottom of my list :( not because i dont enjoy it!!!! im just obsessed w the others more
here is my controversial mahler ranking atm:
2 > 3 > 5 > 1 > 7 > 8 > 6 > 9 > 4
although it does change. hehe

Di regine, baci, fanti e re
L’universo, si sa, ha un suo modo sarcastico e piuttosto fantasioso d’inviare messaggi ed è in grado di mutare per sempre le sorti d’una serata trita e malinconica in qualcosa di nuovo e misterioso. Così, mentre discuto le doti paranormali del mio amato sodale @same-deep-water, poeta e alchimista, noto qualcosa di strano sulla via del nostro oblioso errare. Un fante di picche ci attende sperso per terra, vicino ai bidoni dell’immondizia.

Cerco dagli occhi di Angelo un senso, ma lui è già altrove, pochi passi più avanti, chino su un’altra carta, come un detective sulla scena del crimine, il corpo stavolta è quello d’una donna, regina di picche.

Si mette male, penso, mentre fissiamo muti il fante e la donna, indagatori dell’occulto. Nella cartomanzia, mi par di capire, il fante di picche è una figura piuttosto negativa che non porta nulla di buono, un essere meschino che si comporta in modo subdolo ed egoista al solo scopo di nuocere e mettere a frutto il suo rancore. In definitiva, “una carta di cattivo auspicio che annuncia un periodo di depressione e disillusione”. Proprio ciò di cui avrei bisogno. La donna invece è anche peggio: “la regina di picche rappresenta una donna perfida e invidiosa che cerca di danneggiarti per desiderio di vendetta, una malalingua che potrebbe fingersi tua amica per carpire segreti e fiducia, ma le cui intenzioni sono tutt’altro che sincere”. Di bene in meglio. Mentre mi chiedo a chi di noi due sian diretti gli ammonimenti del destino, Angelo mi richiama sogghignando folle: “Giu, questa serata potrebbe diventare qualcosa di epico!” Lo raggiungo in corsa, non sapendo più cosa attendermi. Più avanti una carta coperta, stavolta, la terza, ci sfida a svelarci. Angelo, da buon tipster, mi propone una scommessa: secondo lui può trattarsi solo di un 9 o di un 10, a questo punto. Io invece ci vedo una scala ascendente, un re, climax di follia (scrivetemi poi nei commenti cosa vi sareste aspettati voi, invece).

Sta a me scoprirla (questo dovrebbe far di me il consultante?), la tiro su piano, me la adagio sul petto, la porto dinanzi agli occhi e osservo:

Un re di fiori. Una carta finalmente positiva: si tratta, infatti d’una figura anziana, decisa a darci tutto il suo sostegno per proteggerci da livori e pericoli, preservandoci - ciò che più conta - dai cattivi presagi delle carte di picche. Mentre ci allontaniamo pensosi, scorgo qualcos’altro nell’ombra, e so che non è ancora finita. Una cartolina strappata, un messaggio scritto a penna: "Baciami Neva". Sul retro il Ponte degli Alpini di Bassano del Grappa. Chi ha strappato la cartolina? Perché l���ha fatto? E soprattutto chi è Neva? Un cane? Una bimba, forse? La cartolina sembra molto vecchia e vissuta, perché prendersi la briga di spezzarla in due dopo tanti anni? Cosa può aver fatto questa persona di tanto orribile? Quel bacio era forse il suo modo di svanire? O magari dovrei leggervi una virgola: "Baciami, Neva", un invito, un’ultima preghiera, forse, un sogno, o chissà che quella sia la sua firma, un’ultima speranza, "Baciami". Nascondo la cartolina in tasca e raggiungo il caro Angelo, pronto a custodire per sempre in me gli assurdi tesori di questa notte.
