Highlights of Star Wars: Episode Nine Panel

OVERALL:

The movie is still in production (Not surprising, though).

JJ looks at the trilogy as the new generation with their struggles against the light and dark side. (I think he actually hints that Kylo isn’t going to be the main villain?)

As we know, they ended up using past film taken of Carrie and used it in production. They ever wanted to use CGI like with Peter Cushing as Tarkin was in Rogue One.

JJ says that it doesn’t pick up immediately after, but that the group takes on the adventure of the movie together. He loved the dynamics between the characters as they filmed. 

CGI vs Practical effects; He says that they tried their best to build up their sets and use it in camera. (England, Jordan.)

The fans sang Happy birthday for Daisy

Anthony calls out to the people who couldn't be to the panel and said that we are there in spirir.

“You will notice about 3PO that he’s the one with the voice of reason. I mean, you think Obi-Wan Kenobi knows it all. 3PO is the one who tells you that you’re in danger. You should get out of there, yes? And what does everybody do in three trilogies of nine movies? They say “shut up,” Well, I’m here to say enough! The droid fights back!”

If 3PO was real and you could purchase him, he would want to buy one despite the fact things like Alexa and Siri terrify him. He regards to him as his best friend and would want someone who cares about him like he does. 

He’s releasing a book tomorrow (11:30 - no specified time zone) that he was going to call “Telling the Odds,” but his publishers wouldn’t allow it.

Billy:

He didn’t think he would return as Lando but thought that he got so lucky being able to film again. To him, he claims that Lando never left him

Apparently loves JJ Abrams's name.

Daisy:

Rey has been reading the Jedi Text.

Daisy says that the lightsaber still lives.

She implies that there could be new force powers for Rey when she redirects the question to JJ, who then also backs this up.

John.

He thinks that Finn has found his identity in the Resistance, as a full fledged member. He loved getting Finn’s first own personal outfit

Said to add Poe into the love triangle with Finn,  Rose, and Rey.

Issac:

When asked if Han or Poe was a better pilot, he claims that Poe is better since he can pilot anything, the better uber driver. But no one could pilot the Falcon better than Han.

“Takes his love for Finn seriously.” 

After the war, he jokes that Poe would work for Space Uber (XD).

Kelly

She doesn’t say much about whether or not Rose kisses Finn again. 

JJ loved her being casted as Rose

To him, playing Chewie is like a duty.

She was really excited being at her first Star Wars

She was in bed when she got the call (at 7 AM). When she yelled in excitement, her father ran to her room as if something was wrong.
