what I love about this scene that Juwon is actually being a little shit. He’s purposefully trying to get a rise out of Dongsik by acting like, well Dongsik. He’s being flirty and condescending and Dongsik is looking at him with weirdly soft gaze of “you okay baby boy?”. Because behind this little power play going on there is some genuine affection between the two of them. Juwon does actually kinda sorta maybe wants to cook for and baby Dongsik and Dongsik low-key is worried about Juwon’s mental health and well-being. I think YJG and SHK are incredible actors to portray the two aspects of their characters so well.

Out of context, this seems like how Joowon and Dongsik would be when they become more well-adjusted as they finally establish their relationship, with Dongsik being calmer and steadier, and Joowon being lighter and happier, both of them being more attuned to each other's needs and knowing exactly how to make each other smile 🥹

dongsik can never get into a car without joowon holding it open. dongsik can never sit down at a restaurant without joowon pulling the chair. dongsik can never walk on the sidewalk closest to the street.

dongsik's cold? joowon is shrugging off his jacket immediately. dongsik's hungry? oh, how convenient that joowon stashed his favorite snacks in the glove compartment! dongsik's sick? joowon is at the stove with an apron tied around his waist cooking chicken soup, AND he'll rub vaporub on dongsik's chest to help clear his cold.

his love language is 100% acts of service and he never fails to make dongsik feel like the most loved man on the planet!
