My sister's cat Adelaide had a scare the other day when she ate part of a toy and got sick. She's doing great now, but they did spend a few hours at an emergency vet in the middle of the night.

My aunt, who is a vet, talked my sister through it all and mentioned that when they got home, Alice, Adelaide's sister, might hiss at her because animals smell different to each other when they've been to the vet.

But Alice does not have normal cat instincts. Not a cautious or sensible thought in her fuzzy fluffy little head. As soon as Adelaide came home, she immediately climbed into the carrirer with her and got comfy.
