I haven't been back to that solo duty for awhile so no I hadn't. I vaguely remember hearing claims to that effect.

I may go back in one of these days and see as I have some alts to unlock stuff there. But I'm not terribly worried about Cid's shifting memory version of Midas in the overall.

Is a little weird to change the model randomly though, if that's so.

Playing through Stormblood again, there's a major difference between Wuk Lamat and Lyse. For one thing, Lyse is good at things. She knows people. When you get a bit tired of hanging with her, Alisaie taps in. Remember, Stormblood is the first real adventure we've had with her at that point. Alisaie gets just as much development as Lyse. Alternating between them keeps you from getting tired of either one. Same deal with Exarch/Tia. He comes and goes a lot. There's whole chunks of Endwalker where you leave him in the library and go adventuring.

Wuk Lamat is good at nothing. She has no connections, no good skills, no admirable personality traits except seasickness and eating food. I kept expecting them to tap in her brother, or Erenville, or Krile more. I really wanted to get to know her brother more for all of Dawntrail. But no, Wuk Lamat only taps out for five minutes in the Western zone and then she's back. Thing is, she would have been just fine if they had traded her in and out with the other characters more. I get that she's Sphene's soul-duplicate on the Source, and that whole part was very interesting. It's just that the pacing was done kind of weirdly, and a poorly developed character was given too much spotlight.

I'm still very divided in my mind over Dawntrail, if you can't tell.

Also like. I can understand that individual people have valid reasons for disliking individual characters but its funny how the ~~Fandom Consensus~~ is that Minfilia and Lyse and Wuk Lamat are annoying and useless but Aymeric and the Exarch are fan favorites. Gee hm. I wonder if a pattern is forming.
