Bestie!Eiji who’s been by your side for the last decade or so. He’s seen you through it all. Been there for whatever you need because you’re there for him in return.

There could be something more between you two but you’ve been with the same guy the entire duration of yours and Eiji’s friendship. No matter how many times the guy breaks your heart, the awful things he says, and the crappy things he does, you’re still with him after all this time.

Eijiro has lost count how many times you’ve cried on his shoulder. The times he’s carried you from his sofa and to his bed because you were having a hard enough time, you didn’t need a poor night of sleep on top of it. Or just how many bottles of alcohol the two of you put away in a single night because you just wanted to forget.

But, he’s kept his true feelings tucked away. He’s never let you see just how much he hates your boyfriend. He’s never let you hear the horrible things thinks about the pathetic excuse for a man. Katsuki knows, he had to tell someone, anyone, as long as it wasn’t you.

He’s able to keep it all inside until one night you’re out with him at the bar again, sitting in your usual spot and telling him about the latest reason why your boyfriend has brought tears to your beautiful eyes.

If he was your boyfriend, he’d never make you cry. Only happy tears would run down your cute cheeks. Or ones you’d shed out of pure pleasure…

“—would you just leave him already?”

Liquid courage in the form of many, many beers fueled his words.

“Excuse me?”

Had he been sober, he would’ve backtracked, would’ve kept himself from saying anything more. Then again, if he’d been sober, he wouldn’t have said anything so reckless in the first place.

“Break. Up. With. Him.” He made sure to punctuate every word but you just stared at him with wide eyes, still rimmed with tears and he just couldn’t take it anymore.

He reached up and cupped your face. He’d brushed away your tears before. Many, many times. This time however, when his thumb swipes away the droplet, he lets his hand stay there as his face inches closer to yours until your foreheads are resting against each other.

“Date me instead.” The three words are so quiet that had you been any further apart, you never would’ve heard them.

He never imagined he’d be the guy trying to take someone else’s girl but here he was. Hoping he could convince you. That you’d give him the chance. “Lemme give you the love he never has. Lemme give you that and so much more.”

Each sentence brought his lips closer to yours until he could feel them against his when he spoke. “One chance. One night. Lemme show you how good it can be…”

Everyone needs a Sorin in their lives.

Sorin noticing that Nuri waited til Scarlett moved from him shows that Nuri knows better than to attack her next to him.

Wondering if Scarlett knew underneath that Nuri was a Vamp as she didn't seem phased to know!

When Scarlett is visibly upset, you can tell he just knows what to do. The fact that she is soft under that hard shell of who she needs to be is kind of sad to me, an innocent girl forced to be a deadly woman. Her saying, "I trust more than your taste in books", was her saying she trusts him without exactly saying it.

Sorins asking all the same questions as me and I am so curious to know the answers!

The way Cass protects Scarlett is like a lifelong bond that cannot be touched. Seeing how he goes to the dark assassin he was trained as gave me the shivers. I forget that he was an assassin!

The way he (Sorin) explains the light can always be found in the darkness again reminds me of depression and the "light at the end of the tunnel" saying. Knowing even in the darkest times there's light.

Seeing the switch to Deaths Maiden is astounding.

If I’m writing for a female reader, there is so much that goes into that. More that just pronouns and anatomy. It’s the way they’re spoken to, how they act, there perception of things. Most of my fics would need to be completely stripped down and rewritten to make sense from a male, nonbinary, or any other perspective. I think this unintentionally really underplays/undervalues how much authors put into their work.

While I understand the intentions are good and kind-hearted, I very much agree with Almond. This is dangerous close to the “fixer” line. Because there is nothing wrong with the fic as it is written. It’s just not what you’re looking for…

If you feel so strongly that you’d love seeing someone’s work from another Reader’s POV, maybe reach out to that specific author and work with them in creating it? Or even better, commission them to rewrite it! It never hurts to reach out so long as you do it with kindness and respect (and are willing to accept whatever answer is given).

But, if you still feel the urge to do this, always ask first ♥️

Hi, I’m going around asking this to multiple people, please let me know your honest opinion! :)

How would you and/or other writers feel about someone reposting someone’s work with new pronouns and body specifications? Giving full credit, of course.

This sounds bad, let me explain it better..

Example: Someone has written a story with a female reader, and it’s absolutely wonderful, but very unfortunate to all the male readers who would also like to experience it (and vice versa).

Now, hypothetically, someone else comes along and “takes” their work, and changes the pronouns and gender specifications, to fit the opposite gender (or make it gender neutral). I wanna make sure that with this, the original writer would get full credit, they would be tagged and everything, so that the person reading the changed work would know who made it and whose work it is.

The work is the same, and the original writer gets all the credit, but more people can enjoy said work.

Do you think that this is ok? From as many perspectives as possible.

This isn’t something I’m particularly comfy with, but I can’t speak for everyone else. If you are asking each writer personally then I think it’s fine if they’re okay with it, with full credit of course!

But from experience, like the whole Mayday voice debacle and shit, even when you repost the fic and give full credit, even link the original author etc, people still won’t go and tell that author that they enjoyed the work, and tbh they probably won’t even notice that it was written by someone else. And like the people that translate fics so that others can enjoy reading in their native language, it doesn’t bring anything to the original author so what’s the point?

Either way, just pls pls pls make sure you’re asking before you take anyone’s fics.

Shower Thoughts with Scar

This is probably hot trash but I wrote it out anyway!

Kirishima has places to eat that are his absolute favorite! He talks about this ramen he had at one place, coffee from a small corner shop, or the steak he had this one time. He won’t shut up about them.

So, naturally, the people who hear him talk about these great meals decide they need to check them out. And the ramen… eh, it was okay. The coffee… it really wasn’t that strong. The steak… could’ve been better. Over all, people can’t really figure out why Kirishima talks up these places so much.

It’s really because of the memories attached to the meals.

That ramen was where him and his friends went after their first night patrol as full fledged heroes. Now after a night shift, he loves stopping by and picking up a bowl because it reminds him of the joke Denki told that made Mina nearly shoot a noodle out of her nose while Sero was doubled over laughing and Bakugo was yelling at all of them since he was the butt of the joke.

The coffee shop was where he took you on your first date. Where he first held your hand… after he nervously knocked your coffee onto it. Lucky for him, you laughed it off, said something about at least it was iced. But when the mess was cleaned up you were still holding his hand. He gets a cup of that weak coffee every chance he gets with a fond smile on his face.

The steakhouse, that was the night he found out he was gonna be a father. It was a restaurant the two of you often frequented, not the best but you two liked it. He ordered his usual and you just went for the house soup, he thought it a bit odd but you told him you had a big lunch. When the food came out though, his steak hadn’t been on the table for more than a minute and you were running to the bathroom. A waitress was kind enough to go in and check on you while he waited right beside the door.

The woman came out a couple of minutes later and told him he should go inside with you and he didn’t need to hear anything else. You were leaning against the cool tile wall, eyes a little wet, hair clinging to your forehead. He wrapped you up in his arms, told you how he already had your dinners boxed up, that he just wanted to take you home. You sighed and he was sure he didn’t hear you right, you were muffled, speaking into his chest, so he asked you to repeat yourself.

“I said I don’t think the baby is a fan of steak sauce.”

Kirishima’s favorite places to dine don’t really have anything to do with the food and drink. Just the memories he’s made while partaking in them… even if he wasn’t allowed steak sauce for a whole nine months.
