Interview with Joker Out's member Nace Jordan, from Slovenian magazine Kranjčanka!
"Enriched by a special experience"
We caught up with Nace Jordan, bassist of Joker Out, a week or so after the Eurovision show in Liverpool, a few days after the show in Zagreb, and just before they left for the show in Dublin, where they sold out their first show in twenty minutes… On stage, they kept company to the Irish performers.
The fact that this guy, who is otherwise from Mlaka (T.N: small village near Kranj), is fully booked, can be confirmed by telling you that he moved into a new flat in March of this year - he has been living in Ljubljana for some time now - but he has spent less than 14 days there until it was time for the Eurovision Song Contest. He still returns to Kranj at least twice a week to visit his mother and to stay true to himself: he decided to get a personal trainer a while ago, so now he also goes to Kranj to train there.
Nace Jordan came into contact with music in primary school. He first played the guitar, which he soon replaced with the bass guitar. "Around the fifth grade of primary school (T.N: 10-11 years old), I became interested in instruments and a classmate and I decided to start a music group. He bought a drum set and I bought an electric guitar. Then we quickly saw that there were no bass players. So I sold the guitar and bought a bass guitar," he explains. He has no formal musical training, but says he has been lucky that wherever he has gone in life, there has always been a good mentor who has been able to guide him.
I: How long did this primary school group last?
N: In those days it was a well-known Kranj band called Success. We did a lot of gigs. It's interesting that all the band members from that time are now living off music. They are, for example, the guitarist Nejc Ušlakar, Tajda Jovanović - also from Mlaka - who is a top classical singer and used to sing at the famous Scala in Milan; if I am not mistaken, she is now teaching classical singing in Dubai. We just created an environment for ourselves and stayed in music. The drummer and keyboard player, Aljaž Bernik and Miha Petrovič, have, for example, a very successful wedding band, called Pop Deluxe.
I: What came after primary school? (* (T.N: In Slovenia, primary school lasts for 9 years, from ages 6-15)
N: I enrolled at the then Iskra University, majoring in mechatronics, but just before graduation I started working - actually playing on a cruiser. By some chance I found myself at a jam session open mind in Kranj, where the Kranj drummer Rok Rozman was looking for someone to go on the boat with him. He was impressed with me, I auditioned and of course they weren't very happy at home when I confronted them with the fact that I was going to take my final exams the following year. I was just 18 years old.
I: Was that a cruise ship?
N: Yes. We were travelling in the Baltic Ocean. I remember that we started in Germany, in a port north of Hamburg, then continued on to Gdansk, St Petersburg and to the Scandinavian countries.
l: That was probably the only time you've been on a cruise ship of that kind, a tourist cruise ship?
I've had a lot of people ask me if I would ever go on holiday on a cruise ship. Probably not. But I would go and have another look at the one I played on.
I: When you came back to Slovenia, did you graduate from high school? N: I didn't and I still regret it a little bit. When I came back from the ship, I started working with the singer Katarina Malo. During that time, I was also taken under the wing of two musicians from Primorska (T.N.: a region in the South-Western part of Slovenia) - that's what I mentioned: I found myself somewhere and then a mentor came along. I learned a lot from them. They were David Morgan and Denis Beganovic - Kiki. The first one is a top jazz drummer from the coastal area, he organises a lot of stuff, and he also plays with Avtomobili (T.N. slovenian band), I think he even played with Plestenjak (T.N. Jan Plestenjak, a famous Slovenian pop singer) at one point. Whereas Kiki is a multi-instrumentalist. He's an extraordinary talent. He has worked with Kanzyani and other famous DJs and musicians from abroad. He has made a lot of music, and he also led the Big Band from the coastal region. That was a really nice period for me. I even moved to the coastal region for a short period.
I: Why music, why not football?
N: Certainly not football (laughs). It's the sport I'm least talented in, or rather, all ball sports fall into that context - be it table tennis or football; and, even though my surname is Jordan, I'm the worst basketball player in the world (laughs). Just two days ago, I met my first grade teacher, and of course the topic of music and Eurovision came up. She told me that she knew even back then that school was not for me, but that I would definitely do something creative in my life. It brought back memories of how bored I was at school and how I would rather draw under my desk than listen, even though I was not a bad student.
I: You haven't been a member of Joker Out for long.
N: Since last year. Martin Jurkovič, the original bass player, felt at some point that music was not his main path. He is also an extremely talented programmer and is studying in that direction. He wants to study abroad and decided to finish that chapter. I knew the lead singer of the band, Bojan, from some mutual friend groups before, and the guys were looking for someone who was around their age, professional, good at what they do, and they thought of me. And Martin was in favour of me coming into the group instead of him.
I: And did you imagine that the band would continue the way it did?
N: From the beginning I went into the band with a bit of hesitation. I even suggested a test period. I had learnt that there has to be chemistry between the members. And if we didn't get along with each other the way we do, we wouldn't have performed on the Eurovision stage. We would have had a fight otherwise.
I: Do you spend a lot of time together?
N: First there were the Eurovision showcase concerts, and now there is the summer concert tour in Slovenia. We also have quite a few problems, because we get a lot of calls from abroad. It's logistically difficult, so we're looking for a solution to link some of the concerts to the tour. After the Eurovision Song Contest, we really started to get noticed abroad.
I: Was this your first Eurovision Song Contest?
N: Yes. But I have been to EMA (slovenian national selection for ESC) several times before.
I: Was it as you imagined it would be?
N: Even better. I can say that everyone who has been through this kind of experience has told us that it will be really tough: there will be a lot of work, but that we should also expect crazy parties. But in the end, it was much less exhausting than we expected. In fact, we had such a busy schedule beforehand that Eurovision itself was almost easier for us afterwards. We were practically in the Arena for five days, the rest was socialising, interviews and other commitments. In principle, we like that.
I: You seemed to be well received.
N: We were lucky enough to have connected with practically all the performers. We were always in a good mood, which was seen and felt both in the performances and in the interviews, during the statements. We came home really enriched by a special experience. And it was really nice to see how the people at home supported us. After the first semi-final, we got some footage of how they were watching us and we were just amazed how behind Bežigrad (Ljubljana district), let's say, they watched the first semi-final show in an organised way. The energy was crazy, like at a match.
I: What about Liverpool? Was there any time to "play tourists"?
N: During Eurovision, not really. We were in Liverpool before, because we were shooting a video. I think it was after Barcelona, and we did a lot of walking around the city then. For those who like the Beatles, Liverpool is great.
I : How did it come about that you went to Eurovision in the first place?
N : When I came into the group, the guys and I immediately started talking about whether we would go to this year's EMAs. We decided to go. We knew we would definitely be one of the favourites because we have a really big and extremely loyal audience. Well, then the EMA didn't happen. The jury decided to make their own choice, from the five entries who had the most songs of the week during that year. And I think only two of us ended up applying. There was no EMA, and they sent us to Liverpool.
I: You mostly use Slovenian in your songs.
N: Of course. We have a few songs in English, but we mostly sing in Slovenian. We were talking about how we would work going forwards, and we agreed not to bother with the language. We are proud of our Slovenian language. It's really something beautiful when you see an adult Peruvian man or a five-year-old Spanish girl singing our song in Slovenian. In that moment you understand the athletes and you are proud to be Slovenian.
I: How is it on the street? Do people recognise you? You often hear: is that the bass player of Joker Out?
N: Yes, quite. Most of the time it's people who say something nice to you, or want a selfie. Of course, there are also some "admirers" who stick gum all over my car or leave messages. There's a good side and a bad side to being a public personality. Sometimes it requires of you to spend three hours taking photos - but if you enjoy doing something, that's not a problem either.
I: Do you think that it is actually the fact that you get along well in a group that "pulls" in the audience?
N: The energy between us is definitely something that is contagious. I don't know if it's what makes the audience really like us, but it's something that puts even someone who is in a bad mood in a good mood.

My Ninja appearance head-canon
Note for me(and others who wonder my interpretation)
Focused on pre-S8 design, especially S1-S2.
Mostly Asian or European in my headcanon, and I don't think deeply about their gender or sexuality. Just an appearance note for my further drawings.
Zane
Scandinavian or Northeastern European. Russian is great too (Actually this is STUNNING that mad scientist dad who ran away from soviet union and raised his futuristic robot son in secluded forest OH MY GOD)
183cm (6 ft), quite heavy due to his metallic body
Platinum blonde, sky blue eyes, pale skin.
Cold and stern look but smiles always. THE SCIENTIST'S DAVID STATUE. BEAUTIFUL.
Snow leopard or Wolf.
Cole
Northeastern Asian, Chinese or Korean. Sometimes West Asian or Latin American?
I don't care about his ethnic. I usually think of him as Chinese actor(Lou is definitely Chinese, I can say that. I FELT that Chinese vibe from him.) or K-Pop idol(especially Suho from EXO). Since he's inspired from Tom Cruise, I'm fine with him being white too.
Black wavy hair, black eyes with double eyelid, long eyelashes. Thick eyebrows.
Skin varies, but not a fair one. Tanned?
185cm or shorter, 80kg, very muscular.
Stern and serious face. THAT HANDSOME DUDE
Tiger
Kai
Southeastern Asian, like Vietnamese or Taiwanese with Jewish dad
Brown hair(dyed or just because of his dad), brown eyes.
175 or shorter, slender-average weight with muscle.
Resembles his father(Ray; Jewish) a lot.
Hyena or rooster.
Ray
Definitely RDJ in my headcanon.
Nya
Southeastern Asian, like Vietnamese or Taiwanese with Jewish dad
Black straight hair, black eyes. Tanned skin(darker than Kai).
165cm, skinny.
Kinda that stereotyped southeastern asian girl/woman look; mono eyelid, fox eye, flat curves, boyish look… resembles her mother(Maya; Vietnamese or Taiwanese) a lot.
Hyena or hen.
Jay
Irish.
175 or shorter, plump-average weight with less muscle.
Ginger brown hair, blue eye. Red/pinkish skin.
Resembles Olaf from Frozen series, sometimes I see Elijah Wood or Tobey Maguire in him. (Actually he's inspired from Tobey Maguire)
Poodle.
Lloyd
French (yes because of that La-Loyd meme)
114cm → 162cm → 172cm or shorter. Balanced body.
Golden, wavy hair. Green eyes. Righteous vibe.
Cute but classical handsome face. Young Mark Hamill. I sometimes see Felix from Stray Kids from him.
Golden retriever or dragon.
Just please look at this angel oh my god
youtube
Garmadon
Well he's Oni; monster now. Never think of him as a human.
But I can see Harrison Ford now lol
Wu
Blonde hair but having straight asian god beard… He even lives in some Chinese Kung-fu dojo but actually is a Japanese ninja sensei. What the heck is this lol
So really hard to guess. I stopped thinking and just consider him as some white weeaboo or something
Misako
Anna Friel I guess? I love her speaking french in Timeline(2003)
Morro
Mexican or Northeastern Asian.
168-174cm or 191cm, lean.
Straight black hair around his shoulder. Green streak in his bangs. Dark green eyes. Pale, little greenish cadaveric skin.
That typical long black haired, depressed, villain-but-has-a-reason guy. Loki, Severus Snape, whatever. Sly look.
Black snake or black cat.
I want to kill myself everytime I think of him as this two wonderful rock band guys here:
youtube
Darath
HE IS JAMES CORDEN (ignore Tom Cruise)
You know what?
For me, pure North eastern asian, Ninjago is a total shit which mixed every asian culture without any thinkings. (Thank you for not ruining my culture. Really.)
Rural area is like southeastern Asia. The monks are mostly Mongolian or Himalayan style. City, culture, food and clothing is mostly Chinese, but they named everything under the name of Japanese ninja things…
It's like… America but located in the middle of France. But their accent is Brit, but eating Italian food, and say they're Spanish themselves. How disregarding…
And Japan's ninja is actually is a cruel secret agent who mainly deals with espionage, assassination, and murder. To be honest, it's not a job that gives me that positive vibes. As civil servants and nobles, samurai were a much more recognised class.
Also their main theme: Practice of righteousness and cooperation is similar to that of a Taoist from the Central Plains(China).
It would be great if I could go and work at Lego animation team, I will tear down all these crazy white tyranny.

Small Talk, Ecocide & Genocide
The societal obsession with civility, small talk, decorum & “being nice” is slowly killing the planet & allowing a merciless genocide to continue unabated for nearly a year.
Its not “polite” to engage in small talk about climate change or the fact that the fucking planet is literally dying and there is an impending ecocide that over a hundred studies predict could happen by 2100.
Literally in less than one human being's lifespan from today, the earth is predicted to be uninhabitable.
But thats not “nice” to say and its not “polite small talk”.
Last year, on my birthday three days before Halloween, for the first time in my life — 42 years — it was 80 fucking degrees on fucking Halloween weekend!
I even wrote a tumblr blog post about it because I was so fucking gagged by the weather.
Still, societally, you are only allowed to acknowledge that its “kind of warm for October” or “its going to be a hot Halloween”.
Banal small talk to cover up extreme unprecedented weather never before seen instead of calling it for what it is — the literal destruction of planet earth.
The sky is actually falling but still anyone wants to do is discuss unprecedented weather as it pertains to their Labor Day weekend, beach, travel, party and dinner plans.
Never about climate change, never about fossil fuels, never about forever chemicals, never about landfills, never about deforestation, never about excessive central air conditioning and heat usage, never about replacing air conditioning with open windows and a ceiling or box fan, never about maximalism, hypercapitalism, industrial pollution, industrial runoff, oceanic & air pollution, logging industry, big pharma, big ag, 9 billions tons of single use plastic, oil, coal, meat packaging, airplanes, cruise ships, automobiles, not owning a personal vehicle, the toxic forever chemicals produced by the batteries in electric vehicles, cobalt, mining, factory farms, sweatshops, war pollutants. . .
Ive lived in NJ my whole life for 42 years and for the first time in my life there was an earthquake earlier this summer.
Still, its just a dinner party topic, an icebreaker, something to discuss with a coworker.
Similarly, earlier this year, for the first time in 42 years of being a NJ resident, there was a tornado.
Still, no actual climate change legislation is ever enacted that would produce results that would actually save the fucking planet.
Elon Musk is already planning to colonize Mars.
Once Earth has been humped, pumped and dumped, they will repeat the pattern again with Mars.
Rapists.
It is the beginning of September. Labor Day was yesterday.
I do get that its Fall and that Summer is over.
However, a TWENTY SIX DEGREE DIFFERENCE IN WEATHER IN ONE FUCKING DAY IS THE VERY FURTHEST thing from normal.
I live in a one bedroom apartment and do not utilize air conditioning.
I live in NJ and we do have heat waves that get up to 100+ degrees which happened several times this summer. My apartment has gotten as hot as 90 degrees.
I still did not turn my air conditioning on.
I opened the windows and turned on a ceiling fan.
I wear light, minimal clothing and stay hydrated and drink water.
92% of American homes utilize air conditioning — 92%!
The EPA states via a survey that Americans keep their thermostats at a disgustingly wasteful and fucking ridiculous 68 degrees to 72 degrees and the vast majority (76%) dont even bother to fucking adjust the thermostat up when they arent home.
So fucking disgustingly wasteful.
Air conditioning utilizes the most energy in a home outside of heating and refrigerators.
It emits the equivalent of millions of carbon units a year.
Americans use more air conditioning than the rest of the world COMBINED.
Most homes in the UK, France and Germany dont have air conditioning.
Many public buildings and residential homes in Japan dont have air conditioning.
In certain Scandinavian countries, it is illegal for offices to utilize air conditioning.
The EPA suggests in their guidelines that Americans keep their AC thermostats at 80 degrees.
I suggest Americans do what I do and just turn their air conditioning off and open the windows and turn on a ceiling or a box fan.
My grandparents in rural Georgia where it got very hot did not have air conditioning when I would visit them for a month every summer as a kid.
Air conditioning was only invented in 1906 — it isnt a NECESSITY, it is a LUXURY and Americans pretend otherwise even though in my own lifetime, there were plenty of homes and buildings without air conditioning!
Air conditioning is completely ubiquitous in America to the level of brainwashing — you can literally go an entire summer in America and never once encounter an internal environment or building without artificially cooled air!
That is brainwashing!
My windows have been open every single day all summer — June through August.
I came out to my living room this morning and it was fucking frigid.
56 degrees outside.
But I wont bother closing the windows because due to climate change, the high today is an unbelievable 76 degrees and the low is 50 fucking degrees.
Still, noone just says, you know it was never the norm for a twenty six fucking degree change in weather in one fucking day.
I have an oversized sweater, leggings and socks on inside my apartment with the windows open and my fingertips are legitimately numb.
And the average American on a day like today just shuts their air conditioning off mindlessly in the morning then just as mindlessly blasts it in the afternoon when the temperature is going to jump twenty fucking degrees to a high of 76 then just as mindlessly shuts their air conditioning off at night as the low is a fucking disgusting 50 degrees tonight.
Never with one single solitary fucking thought.
I left corporate in 2019 and have been a work from home freelance podcaster since 2021.
But I worked in corporate for 15 years — six years in customer service, five years as a recruiter and then I owned my own career coaching and resume writing business for 3 years.
I know for a fact if I was still in a W-2 job that the weather today instead of being correctly and honestly flagged as one of the most fucking egregious and disgusting examples of climate change I have ever witnessed — along with the earthquake and tornado both for the first time fucking ever earlier this summer and the 80 degree weather Halloween weekend last fucking October — it would have just been another inane topic of small talk.
And if I had dared to bring up climate change, I would have been accused of “politicizing” things.
For telling the fucking truth.
So then, instead, someone tells a “joke” about how Starbucks brought the Pumpkin Spice Latte back “early”. Then someone says Dairy Queen also brought their Fall menu out early. Then someone chimes in that Ritas Italian Ice did the same.
Cue laugh track.
Instead of telling the fucking truth — that these extreme weather patterns, these extremely humid and hot heat waves, earthquakes and tornados in fucking NJ, 80 degree weather Halloween weekend in NJ, a TWENTY SIX DEGREE CHANGE IN THE WEATHER IN ONE FUCKING DAY has been proven in study after study to be a sign of our impending planetary doom and incoming ecocide and death of our planet if we dont change our hypercapitalist, maximalist, overconsumptive, consumerist, materialistic, wasteful, single use plastic, throwaway culture, fast food eating, Doordashing, fast fashion obsessed, toilet paper obsessed, air conditioning addicted, automobile addicted, vacation addicted, airplane flying, cruise shipping, retail shopping addicted, Amazon delivery addicted, Starbucks coffee addicted, Runs on Dunkin addicted, trash generating, food wasting, Amazon landfilling ways. . .
But no, instead of that truth, which we can all evidently see and feel — climate change and the extreme weather, heat waves, natural disasters, 30+ degree weather changes in ONE fucking day, 80 degree weather in October that should have been a wake up call to change our ways and save our planet — it just becomes yet another inane small talk topic of discussion.
Add it to Paris Olympics, Met Gala, NFL, Oscars, Kamala, Biden, Trump, Vance, Walz and all the other bullshit.
Anything to avoid discussing a genocide that every American adult that earned more than $400 as a freelancer, all entrepreneurs that generated income and all W-2 earners are funding that has murdered over 198k Palestinian civilians despite it being livestreamed to us in real time every single day on social media in the palms of our hands on our phones.
We're seeing elderly men handcuffed being run over by armored Israeli tanks.
Were seeing children be stepped on, bombed, cut to pieces, exploded, injured, dying, crying, screaming, running, evacuating, mourning murdered family members.
Were seeing executions, war crimes, atrocities, crimes against humanity, torture, rapes, mass graves with hundreds of civilian bodies and bombings of refugee camps, open air street markets, residential areas, hospitals, schools and homes by the IOF — Israeli OCCUPATION Force — a genocide is not defense — with total impunity as the IOF is calmly documenting their own war crimes and uploading them to social media.
Still, the ICC and ICJ do nothing.
Ten months of this!
Still, Netanyahu and Gallant arent arrested.
Still, the US continues to send Israel billions — $17 billion this year alone by the Biden/Kamala administration but all anyone cares about is that Kamala is half Black??
Still, the US continues to supply the IOF with 500 lb bombs by Boeing meant to be used on fortified military bunkers being dropped on tents in refugee camps instantly incinerating the civilians within.
Still, the world stands by in silent complicity and streams it live like an updated reality TV show. Every day, more images of death, destruction and despair as you stream peoples deaths live on your couch.
Survivor: Genocide Style!
Who will be voted off the Gaza Strip next?
Netanyahu demands the Phillipi corridor in any ceasefire agreement and in the map during his genocidal press conference he has the absolute fucking unmitigated gall to claim West Bank as part of Israel.
Still, mainstream western media stays complicit referring to this genocide, the mass slaughter of Palestinians, tens of thousands buried unidentified under rubble, tens of thousands blown up bombed and incinerated into pieces unidentified — 198k dead Palestinian civilians & 4k dead Israeli civilians and you have the motherfucking audacity in the mainstream Western media complex to call that a “war”, a “conflict” and “complicated”?
Israel was created in 1948. The Nakba happened in 1948 displacing and murdering hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
There is nothing “complicated” about that.
The state of Palestine was first recorded in history thousands of years ago.
Israel is a false creation by the US & UK.
This is readily admitted to.
Biden stated while addressing Congress in 1986 that if Israel didnt exist, “we” would have had to create her.
Ask yourself who “we” is.
But even an ongoing streamed in real time live on your nearest cell phone in gory 4K clarity realness genocide isn't enough to slow down the small talk dick sucking for clout social climbers that use even a genocide as social currency and capital.
Just another blip on the small talk radar.
And if you dare to tell the truth that polio reappeared for the first time in decades for the first time in Palestine because of Israel destroying Palestines infrastructure which has caused open sewage, mountains of trash, bacteria, insects, infections and now polio and even scabies. . .
So, Israel caused the reappearance of polio in Palestine — how can anyone not question the IOFs intentions this weekend temporarily pausing their butchering and murdering (“pausing hostilities”) to distribute a fucking vaccine for a goddamned disease that they are responsible for reintroducing to Palestine?????
The same genocidal fucks that have murdered at least 15k children (probably double or triple that if you count the bodies buried under rubble and cut up into unidentifiable pieces) now all of a sudden care about these same exact children getting polio when they have been indiscriminately murdering them for the past ten fucking months which we have seen endless literal videos for????
If Israel was so “concerned” about a polio outbreak in Palestine spreading to Israel, dont you think that Israel would be vaccinating THEIR OWN POPULATION and NOT vaccinating Palestinians?
Its not a vaccine, you dumb fucks.
The US has done this before — it is the exact same playbook.
The US gave blankets to Native Americans as a “gift” which they actually infected with diseases that they knew the Native Americans had no immunological defense for killing thousands.
Some gift.
The US medically experimented on Black Tuskegee airmen trying to develop vaccines for STIs.
The US has forcibly sterilized women in Puerto Rico without their consent against their will.
Why do you think Israel isnt sterilizing Palestinians and lying and claiming its some vaccine?
The US has done this exact same thing in the very recent past.
You'll notice noone in the IOF is injecting themselves with this “polio vaccine” — why do you think that is?
If Israel is so worried about the polio outbreak in Palestine — wouldnt they be vaccinating their genocidal troops with the same vaccine Israel is administering to Palestinians?
I post videos about this and TikTok and Youtube immediately removed them.
“Medical misinformation”?????????????
Wake the FUCK up at some point!!!!!!!

It's time for the 5th annual Magical Trash Year-in-Review, where we take a look at trash cans at the Disney theme parks and resorts worldwide. Yes, it's a weird idea, but you are going to keep reading, right? (View previous Year-in-Reviews) Some may note that it's been a somewhat rocky year for the Mouse, but trash can activity has been strong. As we've seen in previous years, this year's additions were primarily driven by attraction openings, including Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at Disneyland, the opening of the World of Frozen in Hong Kong, and the arrival of the Zootopia in Shanghai. Unfortunately, we also saw the fastest introduction-to-removal can timeline with the closing of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser - which had opened just a year earlier at Walt Disney World. Over the past year, MagicalTrash.com celebrated the 1,000 trash can photo milestone (only took 14 years!), while adding over 100 new entries. This was complimented by 1,600+ posts across social media networks, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Threads, and Bluesky. Posts were also added to Twitter/X, but frankly it's hard to continue supporting that platform due to its overall decline on many fronts (and I say that as someone who works in corporate social media professionally!). For 2023, Magical Trash tracked 16 substantial trash can design changes, a 14% increase vs. 2022's 14 tracked changes:
Added: 14
Historical Cans Added: 4
Updated: 0
Endangered: 0
Removed: 2
The US-based parks saw the most activity, with Disneyland Resort experiencing 6 changes, while Walt Disney World recorded 4 changes. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris Resort both recorded 2 updates, and Shanghai Disney Resort saw 1 new addition. No notable changes were recorded for Tokyo Disney Resort or Disney Cruise Line.
Here's a detailed breakdown of updates:
ADDED New trash can designs that debuted in Disney theme parks over the past year
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (El CapiTOON Theater) - NEW Disneyland, Mickey’s Toontown With a movie theater setting, iconography is anchored by a popcorn bucket image with large “EC” letters.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (M.A.G.I.C.) - NEW Disneyland, Mickey’s Toontown Outside the attraction are cans associated with M.A.G.I.C. - short for the Municipal Agency of Garbage Identification and Collection. Now that's a group we want to join!
World of Frozen (Arendelle Crest) - NEW - NEW Hong Kong Disneyland, World of Frozen The official crest of Arendelle features a crocus - a multi-color flowering bulb that typically blooms in the spring - and seen throughout the Frozen franchise.
World of Frozen (Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs) - NEW Hong Kong Disneyland, World of Frozen Furthering the rugged forest theme of the family coaster, decorative Scandinavian folk art patterns are found throughout queue, with geometric shapes highlighted in red, green, and orange hues.
Zootopia - NEW Shanghai Disneyland, Zootopia A surprising entry to Shanghai's bland trash can scene, green trash cans with zebra-like stripes on the lower portion combine with a city emblem.
San Fransokyo Square - NEW Disney California Adventure, San Fransokyo Square The shoehorned Big Hero 6 retheme of DCA's Pacific Wharf gave us new cans that looked a lot like the old cans - but with bonus "SFS" branding. Ho hum.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana - NEW Walt Disney World, Epcot, World Nature You can tell this is a modern Disney attraction because the name is an IP-laden paragraph. Lots of storytelling to explain "scenery."
Parkside Market - NEW Disneyland Resort, Downtown Disney Probably one of the more visually-stunning additions in 2023, Mickey Mouse + mid-century design. Simple concept, well-executed.
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel - NEW Disneyland Resort, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel New DVC borrows much of its design from Aulani. Not ugly, but also not magical. Were these picked out of a catalog?
Pixar Place Hotel - NEW Disneyland Resort, Pixar Place Hotel The retime of Disneyland's Paradise Pier Hotel features trash cans very similar in design to those implemented at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Maybe they got a 2-for-1 deal?
Disneyland Paris Reusable Tableware Cans - NEW Disneyland Paris, Adventureland France's Anti-Waste and Circular Economy Law is focused on phasing out improper disposal of waste. Food service at the French parks has implemented reusable table settings, which has impacted trash can design.
"Fantasyland 2" Backstage - NEW Disneyland Paris, Fantasyland A backstage can makes an appearance onstage as a support trash can from the “Fantasyland 2” zone, parked where everyone can see.
Pym Test Kitchen Food Waste - NEW Disney California Adventure, Avengers Campus After debuting combination food waste trash cans in Tomorrowland around 2021, Disneyland expanded the practice to the Avengers Campus at DCA.
Jollywood Nights Temporary Media Can - NEW Disney's Hollywood Studios, Grand Avenue Throw a sticker on an existing trash can and it's something new! Temporarily rethemed can at Disney's Hollywood Studios during a media event for Jollywood Nights holiday entertainment.
HISTORICAL CANS ADDED Retro trash can designs that were unearthed by new research this year, but are no longer in use
MK Main Street (1974) - HISTORICAL ADDITION Magic Kingdom, Main Street U.S.A. Early years of the Magic Kingdom featured very detailed trash cans on Main Street U.S.A, often in multiple colors. Quite a contrast from the undecorated brown cans used in the 2000s.
Farmer's Market (Late-1980s/Early-1990s) - HISTORICAL ADDITION Epcot, Future World, The Land The famed umbrella tables at The Land found their shapes emulated via the trash cans, which were primarily brown with light tan arches represented on all sides.
River Country (2010) - HISTORICAL ADDITION Walt Disney World, Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground 9 years after the water park closed, remnants of the ‘Ol’ Swimmin’ Hole’ could still be spotted at Fort Wilderness.
Mulholland Madness (2007) - HISTORICAL ADDITION Disney's California Adventure, Paradise Pier Tacky theme was on-point for DCA 1.0. This green can with road sign decal found a home in Paradise Pier.
UPDATED Existing trash can designs that have been modified or revised in the past year
None for 2023
ENDANGERED Trash can designs that still exist, but will most likely disappear in the future
None for 2023
REMOVED Trash can designs that have been eliminated from use at Disney theme parks
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (Interior) - REMOVED Walt Disney World, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser The in-wall trash cans for the 100-cabin Corellian MPO-1400 model Galactic Starcruiser were in use for just 579 days.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (Terminal) - REMOVED Walt Disney World, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser You won't be needing to dispose of your garbage before boarding the MPO-1400 Star Cruiser Halcyon, as these cans will probably have a longer life than the hotel ever had.
One massive disappointment in 2023 was Walt Disney World's opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. Generic silver cans, thus reinforcing WDW's continual cheapening out on themed trash can design. Paul Pressler called and even he thinks you can do better.
Here at Magical Trash we celebrated our 14-year anniversary covering the world of Disney trash cans, which included keeping up with various salt shaker merchandise releases that showcase the iconic can shape. 6 new designs were released during festivals: The Dude with the Food (DCA Food & Wine 2023), Amazingly Sweet (DCA Food & Wine 2023), Groovy Garden Orange Bird (Epcot Flower & Garden 2023), Stuck on Imagination Figment (Epcot Flower & Garden 2023), Chef Mickey (Epcot Food & Wine 2023), and Spaceship Earth (Epcot Food & Wine 2023).
If you happened to be at Tokyo Disneyland, you could have picked up a mini figure version of a Tomorrowland trash can or a TDS trash can toy. In the U.S. you could pick up a shirt or water bottle with a recycling can image proclaiming that you "Love Our Disney Parks" -- Disneyland or WDW-specific versions. There was plenty of trash can auction action as well.
Thanks to everyone who contributed photos, visited MagicalTrash.com, and interacted with this weird hobby over the past year. You've put a smile on my face as we all follow this goofy passion. As it's impossible to be omnipresent at 12 theme parks and numerous resorts around the world, let us know what we've missed! Thanks for an interesting year, CanFans! - Steve Tanner, your Magical Trash host

OCEAN LOVER!LARS RORSCHACH
my personal hc for sea-hugger-lars
i definitely think lars’ love for the ocean surged to the surface when he was very young
his family is hella rich, so he went on cruise ships a lot as a kid
he fell off a boat once when he was younger and almost drowned
but his 7-year-old self thought a woman with a fishtail saved him (oh the imaginations of a child) hence his belief in mermaids growing up
the accident didn’t deter him from falling in love with the ocean tho
in fact it made him go on solo boat trips all the time (he has multiple yachts lol) to get over his fear
he definitely did semester at sea since his family is wealthy enough
he’s an excellent swimmer and a fantastic surfer
he was part of the water polo little leagues when he was younger and dragon boat racing at st. shelter academia
he loves aquatic sports (i would have said watersports but y’all are going to get the wrong idea ksjskskdl)
he’s tried every single recreational activity IN, ON and UNDER water
snorkelling, free diving, scuba diving, wakeboarding, water skiing, body boarding, canoeing and kayaking (his faves in bold)
he’s not an adrenaline junkie but he loves being adventurous so he doesn’t like fishing bc it’s so tame and boring
he also doesn’t like the idea of capturing and forcefully holding the sea creatures (even if momentary) bc he adores lil fishies 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
but he also loves eating fish (i realise the irony ksjsklsldd lars is a walking contradiction)
his favourite animal is a sea lion
he’s definitely into selkie mythology and loves reading about them in nordic myths and legends of the sea (since he himself is scandinavian)
he has an aquarium (or three)
one in his apartment, one in his office and one in his favourite beach house
he owns a dwelling by the sea in every popular coastal area in the world bc he a rich mf
deffo an aquatic activist

Since I laughed at you for not having the anon asks on, I'll ask you a question. :P
Aside from Titanic, what other movies inspire you when drawing Cleon?
I love Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock so much that I want them to be my celebrity parents. But they are just best friends and always have been this way since they worked on the film Speed (1994), and The Lake House (2006) 12 years later.
When I first got into Cleon, they were the only "couple" in my mind and I have been preaching this ever since. I think they are my core of Cleon, and I rewatch Speed every month lmao.
I've also mentioned a few movies on my AO3 log, and here are MORE honorable mentions:
Action Movies:
Point Break (1991) Someone recommended me to watch Fast & Furious series for RE AU(and I have), but this movie is the OG of F&F series.
The Gray Man (2022) Kickass power couple saving a little girl, together. I use it for RE4 era ref, and I kinda have a reverse AU of Claire being trained to be an FBI agent to follow her brother's steps and Leon is just a random college boy.
Mission Impossible series I was talking with my friend about how Hollywood cliche Capcom can be.
RED (2010) & RED 2 (2013) If RE9 is about the OG team reunion like DI, they will be exactly like these movies, grandpas & grandmas still kicking ass.
Fantasy & Rom-com:
One Day (2011) Friends to lovers…The drama. In fact, my newest art has used this for ref, and you will see it in 2 days.
Now and Then (1995) Teenage Cleon. Childhood neighbors, enemies to friends to crushes lmao.
What Maisie Knew (2012) Spoiler alert I'm planning to draw a series of this. I'm not into Cleon having children but if they are, I'll do it my way ;)
Life as We Know It (2010) Enemies to friends to lovers again. And raising a baby together.
No Strings Attached (2011), Friends with Benefits (2011) Not really into FWB Cleon but you writers kinda like to write this? So I rewatch them recently, well, it could work.
The Mummy (1999) You cannot tell me Rick O'Connell didn't reference Leon's design. Again, gonna draw this soon.
The Huntsman: Winter's War(2016) Pretty average, I only use ref for outfit design but Jessica Chastain is so beautiful in this. (But my ideal live-action Claire is Rebecca Ferguson, just FYI)
Far and Away (1992) LMAO I've always thought of this movie as the prequel of Titanic.
Angst:
Drive (2011) My favorite movie of all time. And I saw someone already draw it, I reblog it to my main account a few days ago. I will draw another one soon, my fav scene is not the elevator scene so, no worries.
Marriage Story (2019) Literally just rewatched it last night. I love the arguing/fighting scene so much, and it kinda suits my idea of how Claire will leave Leon for his drinking problem.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) I don't know why this movie got so much hate, but I think the part when Steve came back and later Diana has to let him go…Inspired me to draw Cleon.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) Directed by David Fincher. It's more for Claire honestly. But the Scandinavian scenery is something I long for.
Sci-fi:
Oblivion(2013), Edge of Tomorrow(2014) Both staring Tom Cruise. And I regret that I didn't go to the theater for both of them, at the time I thought the posters were boring, but they turned out to be really good, at least for my taste.
Not gonna put Romeo and Juliet (1996) on the list bc I don't use Leonardo DiCaprio for my Leon when drawing, I use Brad Pitt more, for he has a better fashion sense haha. Claire Danes is already perfect.
Some TV shows as well:
Full House (1987-1995) Uncle Jesse & Aunt Becky, just search them on Pinterest.
My So-Called Life (1994-1995) Angela Chase & Jordan Catalano. I Only use Jared Leto's appearance for ref; characteristically speaking, Leon is more like Brian in this show.
Peaky Blinders (2013-2022) For Noir outfit or Mob AU cuz why not?
Rougue One (2016 movie), Andor (2022) I love Star Wars and fuck…Cassian and Jyn are so Cleon-coded! I'm mostly into SW fashion, they have some dope jackets in Andor. Seriously go watch, Andor is as good as The Last of Us.
Ride with Norman Reedus (2016-) They got some cool bikes in the first season and Cleon bike date on PCH…My beach Cleon is inspired by this show actually.
I didn't even try hard to think about these and can still go on for days…Still, I think it's good enough for one ask for now hehe.
#my ask#movies#movie recommendation#cleon#lmao im getting ahead of myself#but seriously go watch if you wanna know more about me#writing them down makes me wanna rewatch all of them again

Outdoor FurnitureOutdoor FurnitureOutdoor Furniture for Food Courts: Designing Comfortable Eating Areas
Comfort: Enhancing the Dining Experience
Designer restaurant furniture often reflects and influences global design trends, bringing international flair to local dining scenes. From Scandinavian minimalism to opulent Middle Eastern-inspired designs, these trends help restaurants create unique and culturally rich environments. Nardi's designer collections frequently incorporate elements from various global design movements, allowing restaurants to create worldly atmospheres that appeal to well-traveled patrons. By staying abreast of international design trends, restaurants can keep their interiors fresh and exciting, offering diners new experiences with each visit.
Adapting to Changing Trends with Resin Barstools Acoustic Considerations in Barstool Selection Resin furniture has found particular favor in commercial settings such as resorts, restaurants, and public spaces. Its durability makes it ideal for high-traffic areas, while its style versatility allows it to be adapted to various aesthetic requirements. The ease of cleaning and maintenance is especially valuable in these settings, where furniture may need to be cleaned frequently. Additionally, the stackability of many resin chair designs makes storage and transportation more manageable for businesses that need to rearrange their spaces regularly.
Selecting the right designer outdoor furniture for a restaurant involves careful consideration of numerous factors, from aesthetics and functionality to durability and compliance with local regulations. By understanding these elements and leveraging the expertise of established manufacturers like Nardi, Seaside Casual, Grosfillex, BFM Seating, ERP-restaurant furniture, and Mingja, restaurant owners and designers can create outdoor spaces that not only look stunning but also function efficiently and stand the test of time. Remember that outdoor furniture is an investment in your restaurant's identity and success – it shapes the dining experience, influences customer perceptions, and can significantly impact your bottom line. Take the time to research, plan, and select pieces that align with your restaurant's vision and operational needs, and you'll create an outdoor dining space that delights customers, stands out in the competitive world of hospitality, and contributes to the long-term success of your establishment.
I understand you'd like me to https://becketttqsy.bloggersdelight.dk/2024/10/16/nardi-omega-chaise-for-cruise-ships-designing-comfortable-deck-seating/ create a 2000-word article about outdoor resin furniture without bullets or subtitles, with the first sentence of each paragraph wrapped in tags. I'll compile a cohesive article from the provided paragraphs, ensuring no repetition and a logical flow. Here's the article:
Gone are the days when resin furniture was limited to a few basic colors and designs. Today's resin furniture comes in an extensive palette of colors, textures, and finishes. Grosfillex, a leader in the field, offers resin furniture in everything from bold, vibrant hues to subtle, natural tones. This color versatility allows restaurant owners to perfectly match their furniture to their brand identity or create striking contrasts within their dining spaces. Moreover, advancements in manufacturing techniques have allowed for intricate designs and textures that mimic other materials, from woven wicker to smooth marble.
Sustainability in Barstool Manufacturing
While it's tempting to follow the latest trends in seating design, it's important to strike a balance bet

I'm very grateful for the way I grew up. I've had alot of experiences with different cultures and i enjoy learning about different mythologies and religions in my free time.
I have alot of good memories traveling to sweeden in middle school to visit relatives. Not many people get to experience that. No this isn't me trying to say not having the funding for a passport and or a week-long vacation makes you invalid.
I got to go on two cruise vacations. To the Jamaica, Hati, Mexico, and the caman islands.those places are not spiritual for me. It was a nice vacation, I remember the boat/ plane trip fondly.
So I'm not a practiconer of the Scandinavian Pantheon. At least not anymore...

The Ultimate Guide to Electric SUVs
In recent years, the automotive industry has seen a dramatic shift towards electric vehicles (EVs), with SUVs emerging as a popular choice among consumers seeking both versatility and sustainability. Electric SUVs combine the spaciousness and rugged appeal of traditional SUVs with the benefits of electric propulsion, offering a compelling option for a wide range of drivers. If you're considering making the switch to an electric SUV or simply want to learn more about this evolving segment of the market, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know.
1. Benefits of Electric SUVs
Electric SUVs offer several key advantages over their gasoline-powered counterparts:
Environmental Impact: EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving local air quality. This makes them a greener choice compared to internal combustion engine vehicles.
Lower Operating Costs: Electric SUVs have lower fueling costs compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. Electricity is generally cheaper than gasoline, and EVs typically require less maintenance due to fewer moving parts and no oil changes.
Quiet and Smooth Driving: Electric motors provide instant torque, resulting in smooth acceleration and a quiet driving experience. This makes electric SUV ideal for city driving and commuting.
Advanced Technology: Electric SUVs often come equipped with cutting-edge technology, including regenerative braking systems, touchscreen infotainment systems, and advanced driver-assistance features.
2. Key Considerations When Buying an Electric SUV
Before purchasing an electric SUV, there are several factors to consider to ensure you find the right model for your needs:
Range: Evaluate the range of the electric SUV on a single charge and consider your daily driving habits. Choose a model with a range that comfortably covers your typical driving distance.
Charging Infrastructure: Check the availability of charging stations in your area and along your most frequented routes. Consider the different charging options, such as home charging solutions and fast-charging capabilities.
Performance: Assess the horsepower, torque, and acceleration of the electric SUV. Consider how these factors align with your driving preferences and needs.
Interior Space and Comfort: Evaluate the interior space, seating capacity, and cargo room of the electric SUV. Ensure it meets your requirements for passenger comfort and storage space.
Safety Features: Review the safety ratings and available driver-assistance features of the electric SUV. Look for features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
Total Cost of Ownership: Consider the upfront cost, potential tax incentives, and long-term savings on fuel and maintenance costs when comparing electric SUVs with traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
3. Popular Electric SUV Models
Several automakers offer electric SUVs with varying features and specifications. Here are some popular models currently available or soon to be released:
Tesla Model X: Known for its futuristic design, falcon-wing doors, and impressive range, the Tesla Model X is a luxury electric SUV with seating for up to seven passengers.
Audi e-tron: The Audi e-tron combines luxury with electric performance, offering a spacious interior, advanced technology, and Audi's renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Jaguar I-PACE: The Jaguar I-PACE is a stylish and sporty electric SUV with Jaguar's signature performance and handling. It boasts a sleek design, fast-charging capabilities, and a competitive range.
Ford Mustang Mach-E: Blending the iconic Mustang heritage with electric power, the Mustang Mach-E offers various trim levels, impressive acceleration, and a range suitable for everyday driving.
Volvo XC40 Recharge: Volvo's first all-electric SUV, the XC40 Recharge, combines Scandinavian design with electric performance, advanced safety features, and Google's Android-powered infotainment system.
4. Charging Infrastructure and Range
One of the critical considerations for electric SUV owners is access to charging infrastructure. Here’s what you need to know:
Home Charging: Most electric SUV owners charge their vehicles at home using a Level 2 charging station. This allows for convenient overnight charging and ensures the vehicle is ready to go each morning.
Public Charging Stations: Public charging stations are essential for longer trips or when away from home. Many electric SUVs support fast charging, which can significantly reduce charging times compared to standard Level 2 chargers.
Charging Networks: Various networks operate public charging stations, including Tesla's Supercharger network and third-party providers like ChargePoint and Electrify America. Consider the coverage and compatibility of these networks when choosing an electric SUV.
