The Paris Olympics 2024 has been a stage for exciting sports performances, and one of the promising athletes, Ramita Jindal, made her mark in the women’s 10m air rifle event. The 20-year-old Indian shooter finished seventh in a highly competitive eight-women final. Ramita’s hard work and passion for the sport have yielded impressive results over the years. At the recent Asian Games, she won two medals: a silver in the team event and a bronze in the individual category. Her achievements extend to the Junior World Championships, where she secured two golds in Cairo in 2022 and a bronze in Lima in 2021.

At the senior level, Ramita has further established her prowess. She clinched a gold medal in the 10m air rifle women’s team event at the Baku 2022 ISSF World Cup and a silver medal in the same event at the World Cup in Changwon in 2022. Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut and Karuna Yoga Foundation collaborated to organize a grand Yoga Camp and felicitation ceremony in honor of International Yoga Day.

The felicitation ceremony marked the conclusion of the 14 day Yoga Camp that took place at the University.

On this occasion, renowned Yoga Trainer & Chairperson of Karuna Yoga Foundation Delhi, Ms. Karuna Tyagi gave Yoga tips to the students & Staff of the University.

She exhorted the youth to accomplish the mission of Healthy India through Yoga.

Tokyo Olympics: India’s medal in shooting confirmed, Saurabh Chaudhary reaches final

India’s medal in the 10m Air Pistol event at the Tokyo Olympics has been sealed. Saurabh Chaudhary has reached the final of the men’s event. Saurabh finished first in the qualification round. He scored a total of 586 points. India’s Abhishek Verma finished 17th with 575 points. Saurabh Chaudhary scored 95, 98, 98, 100, 98 and 97 points in 6 series.

Shri Venkateshwara University, VIMS Multispecialty Hospital, and VGI Meerut organized a mega blood donation camp on World Blood Donor Day.

They successfully collected 108 units of blood.

The College management, students, faculty members, and voluntary blood donors all took part in the blood donation camp. They also motivated others to donate blood regularly.

The voluntary blood donors displayed banners encouraging people to donate blood & pledged them to save lives by donating blood.
