Unlocking the Depths: a Dive Into Salt Mining and Its Intricacies
Salt, a basic kitchen ingredient that is found everywhere on this planet, is a commodity that has always been important to civilization. Salt which goes from the depths of the Earth to us is often taken for granted since the process of getting it is quite a fascinating path that involves different salt types and the way they are extracted. This article presents an examination of salt mining, particularly rock salt resources and the unique technique of solution mining.

What's the main group's goal? And will they ever meet Nutmeg Tiger Cookie?
"As for Nutmeg Tiger Cookie? Yes, they've indeed met! She didn't stick around for very long, however, on the notion of having a 'job to do'. Who knows, perhaps they shall meet again, in the far future!"

🔍 Leafing through some old posts
releasing the Evanuris (Blighted?) and ALSO MAYBE the Blight? as in THE Blight. not a blight, the mother of ALL blights
-- 5 year old post
IGN preview: "The Blight, well, it was a slow-moving wall. It didn't have this almost-sentient, this almost-thought behind it. We've talked about how the gods that are out are Blighted. That probably has something to do with it."
I think [the Evanuris] sought to harness [the Blight], to use its power too. a bioweapon.
-- 6 year old post
IGN preview: "The Blight is an organic weapon."
bindings, weaving, meshing, grafts (like different parts of different beasts being stitched together); the aim to improve coordination and sharpen the heart (the new darkspawn are more clever than the old ones) [...] given that organic life in our world originally crawled out of the sea during evolution (not unlike Mythal), I wonder if, with the saltwater pools and all, Ghilan’nain was trying to do what amounts to recreating the conditions which lead to the formation of organic life from inorganic materials. abiogenesis - the origin of life
-- 4 year old posts
IGN preview: "She uses Blight like a medium, to sculpt and warp. There are Blight pools, the darkspawn aren't just coming out of nowhere. The Blight is spawning them. Ghilan'nain, who has always been focused on using the Blight as essentially a crafting material, a way to alter life itself."

Did you know that the famous line "And what the hell is that smell?" from 'Independence Day' was improvised by Will Smith? While filming the scene on the salt flat near the Great Salt Lake in Utah, nobody warned him about the strong odor caused by billions of decomposing brine shrimp in the lake.

Desalination plants, a major and growing source of freshwater in dry regions, could produce less harmful waste using electricity and new membranes made at the University of Michigan. The membranes could help desalination plants minimize or eliminate brine waste produced as a byproduct of turning seawater into drinking water. Today, liquid brine waste is stored in ponds until the water evaporates, leaving behind solid salt or a concentrated brine that can be further processed. But brine needs time to evaporate, providing ample opportunities to contaminate groundwater.

The other day, I cooked a spatchcock chicken for the first time, and found out my food thermometer does work for chicken (I was thinking it didn't look sturdy enough to properly stab, but it went in no trouble), and this has brought me such glee as I cannot tell you. Look at me. Measuring the internal temperature of my chicken. Like a true YouTuber. It was so much fun.
#the chicken came out amazing also#SO juice; but not greasy at all; and not too salty#it didn't AT ALL have that horrible feather taste of unseasoned chicken.#but it did have a lingering saltiness from the dry brine that was amazing.#and then I had it over rice (that I made with very little salt to balance) and roasted potatoes/carrots with garlic olive oil.

green olive and cream cheese sandwiches are peak and im tired of pretending they're not
#the creaminess of the cheese mellows the harsh brine from the olives and the fruitiness of the olives breaks up the richness of the cheese#but they're both funky enough to not be dissonant in your mouth#it's literally perfect#maybe just add a little sprinkle of salt if your olives are particularly fragrant

(if you don't mind this is my second ask in a day)
Do any of the Legendswap Ancients have kingdoms? 'Cause I know originally, all the Ancients except White Lily Cookie had their own respective kingdoms and people (cookies?)
I was wondering if the Legendswap Ancients had anything like that.
And to go along with that, do the Legendswap Beasts have their own places in Beast-Yeast? Like in canon?
they do indeed! well, most of them, anyway;
Luminous Cream: The Cream Province, renowned far and wide for its vastly knowledgeable schools and universities, and it's where a lot of cookies go to study as it holds the most prestigious academies on earthbread!
Roasted Cayenne: the Spice Empire, a vast land known for its formidable warriors and rich culture! it was a kingdom built upon honor, tradition, and the fire of its people.
Fair Grain: the Grain Kingdom, where golden fields stretched endlessly and harvests were bountiful! while it wasn't the largest, its sustenance and community more than made up for where it lacked in size.
of course, these aren't so.. up to date, per se.
(ill expand more on this in the future, but eternal sugar (aka sweet syrup)'s kingdom is known as the Syrup Nation, and silent salt (aka divine brine) just. wasn't interested in making one (reasons could be changed but he doesn't have one at the moment)

for better or for worse (worse) i let hello fresh talk me into signing up at one of their deep discounts so i did one box & then immediately canceled but one of the bonus treats i got in my box was soft pretzels w cheese sauce so i just whipped that up (pretzels just needed to be heated & sauce thrown together) and thought i was SUCH a genius for putting some pickled jalapeño brine in the cheese but salted before i did that & forgot how much extra salt the brine would add. so unfortunately it’s pretty salty & also i put in too much garlic. but great idea otherwise
#the brine also added NO discernible heat whatsoever. which was disappointing#so i had to add a ton of chili flakes#but i think when i reheat what i have left (had SO much ??) ill add milk to reconstitute it & that’ll help the salt a lot#idk what i’ll do with it though. i have fries in the freezer but it could be good on an egg sandwich ????#chatpost#food tag#also nothing i’ve had from the box has been worth it yet but i have two meals still#but who knows if i’ll actually do them or just cannibalize the ingredients. yet to be seen
