Oh btw
I showed my brother your Animal wala review since he just watched the film and hated it and he called you 'the G' (he's younger than me)
Thought you'd like to know lol
The generation gap between your brother and me who is I am guessing is 14-16 wala age group, oh my god. 'The G' 😭😭😭. I will always review shitty movies for you little man. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It is such bad movie, so slow, so boring, horribly edited, bad background music which is so inconsistent, second half is 90 minutes long and nothing happens, horrible fight scenes that have delusions of Oldboy. The main issue, is that the movie is not selling itself like Jawan, or the Salman Khan movies, this is supposed to be deeper, more 'real' but he kills 300 people singlehandedly, and there are no consequences. And people in this country thing that being able to cry and show anger is peak acting. Waiting for him to win Best Actor at national awards, not that they mean anything.

Udit Narayan vs. The Modern Playback Singers
Udit Narayan, one of the most celebrated playback singers in Indian cinema, has gifted the music industry with his melodious voice for decades. Known for his versatility and ability to adapt to different styles, he has become synonymous with Bollywood’s golden era of music. From soulful ballads to foot-tapping dance numbers, Udit Narayan’s voice has touched hearts and become a key ingredient in countless cinematic successes. This article takes a closer look at his journey, achievements, and the lasting impact of his work on Bollywood.
The Early Days: From Humble Beginnings to Stardom
Udit Narayan’s story began in the small village of Baisi in the Supaul district of Bihar, India. Born on December 1, 1955, into a family of modest means, Udit’s early exposure to music came from his mother, Bhuwaneshwari Devi, who was a folk singer. Despite financial struggles, his passion for music never wavered. After completing his schooling in Nepal, where his family moved during his childhood, Udit pursued his love for music by joining Radio Nepal as a folk singer.
In the late 1970s, Udit Narayan’s life took a significant turn when he received a scholarship to study classical music at the prestigious Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mumbai. Under the mentorship of renowned classical musicians, he honed his craft and prepared for the challenges ahead.
His Bollywood debut came in 1980 when he sang a duet with the legendary Mohammed Rafi for the film Unees Bees. While the song did not bring him immediate fame, it marked the beginning of his journey in the Hindi film industry.
The Big Break: Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Udit Narayan’s breakthrough came in 1988 with the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). Paired with Alka Yagnik, his rendition of “Papa Kehte Hain” became an anthem for young dreamers and established Udit as a household name. The film’s music, composed by Anand-Milind, was a massive success, and Udit’s soulful voice struck a chord with audiences across the nation.
The song earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer, opening the doors to more opportunities in the industry. QSQT was a defining moment in Udit’s career, and the partnership with Alka Yagnik became one of the most iconic duos in Bollywood playback singing.
The 1990s: A Decade of Unstoppable Success
The 1990s were a golden period for Udit Narayan. With his fresh, youthful voice, he became the go-to singer for Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan. His songs often became chartbusters, helping films achieve commercial success.
Some of his most notable tracks from this era include:
“Pehla Nasha” (Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar), a romantic number that continues to evoke nostalgia.
“Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna” (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge), a wedding classic.
“Jaadu Teri Nazar” (Darr), a hauntingly romantic melody.
His ability to bring emotions to life through his singing made him a favorite among music directors like A.R. Rahman, Jatin-Lalit, and Nadeem-Shravan. Udit’s voice became an inseparable part of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters.
The 2000s: Reinvention and Longevity
As Bollywood’s music scene evolved in the 2000s, Udit Narayan adapted seamlessly. He continued to deliver hits, collaborating with younger composers like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Pritam. Songs like “Mitwa” (Lagaan) and “Radha Kaise Na Jale” (Lagaan) showcased his versatility and reinforced his relevance in a competitive industry.
During this period, Udit’s son, Aditya Narayan, also stepped into the world of music, creating opportunities for the father-son duo to collaborate. Their duet “Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega” (QSQT) was revisited during stage shows, symbolizing the generational continuity of musical talent.
Awards and Recognitions
Udit Narayan’s contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades. He is the recipient of four National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. His unique achievement of winning Filmfare Awards in three different decades (1980s, 1990s, and 2000s) is a testament to his enduring appeal.
In 2009, he was awarded the Padma Shri, followed by the Padma Bhushan in 2016, two of India’s highest civilian honors. These awards not only celebrate his contribution to Indian cinema but also his influence on generations of musicians.
Conclusion: A Voice That Defines an Era
Udit Narayan career is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and raw talent. His melodious voice has defined an era of Bollywood music, creating memories for millions of listeners. As the music industry continues to evolve, Udit’s songs remain timeless, a reminder of the magic that music brings to cinema.

DesiCinema Celebrating the Heartbeat of Indian Cinema
DesiCinema, a term that encapsulates the vibrant and diverse world of Indian cinema, serves as a cultural mirror reflecting the multifaceted narratives, traditions, and experiences of the subcontinent. From its humble beginnings to its current global presence, DesiCinema has evolved into a rich tapestry that weaves together stories of love, struggle, and resilience. This blog post delves into the significance of DesiCinema, exploring its history, themes, and future.
A Brief History of Indian Cinema
Indian cinema traces its roots back to the early 1900s, with the first silent film, "Raja Harishchandra," released in 1913 by Dadasaheb Phalke. This marked the beginning of a new art form that would grow into a powerful medium for storytelling.
Milestones: Throughout the decades, several pivotal films and directors have emerged. The 1950s and 60s are often regarded as the golden age of Indian cinema, with iconic filmmakers like Satyajit Ray, whose films showcased realism and social issues, gaining international acclaim.
Evolution: The advent of talkies in 1931 revolutionized the industry, giving birth to the Bollywood we know today. As the industry grew, so did the variety of genres—from melodrama and romance to action and thriller, each catering to different audience segments.
Genres and Styles
DesiCinema is characterized by its rich array of genres and storytelling styles.
Bollywood vs. Regional Cinema: While Bollywood dominates the Hindi film industry, regional cinemas like Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Punjabi have their unique flavors and storytelling methods. Each region brings its cultural nuances, often resulting in films that resonate deeply with local audiences.
Popular Genres:
Romantic Dramas: Films like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" have become cultural touchstones, blending romance with family values. Action Films: The rise of stars like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar has popularized high-octane action movies, often featuring elaborate stunts and larger-than-life narratives. Comedies: Comedic films often use humor to address serious societal issues, seen in films like "3 Idiots" and "Queen." Influence of Music and Dance: Music and dance are integral to DesiCinema. Songs often drive the narrative forward, and elaborate dance sequences showcase the cultural vibrancy of India. Iconic numbers like "Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire" have achieved global fame, illustrating the universal appeal of DesiCinema.
Themes and Social Commentary DesiCinema is not just entertainment; it often serves as a platform for social commentary.
Cultural Reflection: Films like "Lagaan" and "Swades" explore themes of nationalism and identity, reflecting the societal values of their time.
Social Issues: Many filmmakers tackle pressing issues such as caste discrimination, gender inequality, and corruption. Films like "Article 15" and "Panga" highlight these challenges, sparking conversations among viewers.
Role of Women in Cinema: The portrayal of women in Indian films has evolved significantly. Early films often depicted women in traditional roles, but contemporary cinema features strong, independent female characters. Directors like Zoya Akhtar and Meghna Gulzar are leading the charge in creating nuanced narratives around women.
Global Impact and Diaspora
As DesiCinema gains international recognition, its influence extends beyond Indian borders.
International Recognition: Films like "Gandu" and "The Lunchbox" have garnered awards at global film festivals, showcasing the artistry of Indian filmmakers. The global success of movies like "Slumdog Millionaire," although a British production, brought Indian cinema to a wider audience.
Influence on Global Cinema: The aesthetics of DesiCinema have inspired filmmakers around the world. Elements such as vibrant storytelling, musical integration, and elaborate cinematography are increasingly seen in international films.
DesiCinema in the Diaspora: For the Indian diaspora, cinema serves as a link to their roots. Films that explore the immigrant experience, such as "Bend It Like Beckham," resonate deeply, bridging cultural gaps and fostering connections.
The Future of DesiCinema
The landscape of DesiCinema is continuously evolving, shaped by technological advancements and changing audience preferences.
Current Trends: The rise of streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video has transformed how audiences consume cinema. This shift allows for diverse storytelling, with films that may not have found a theatrical audience now reaching global viewers.
Emerging Talents: A new generation of filmmakers, writers, and actors are redefining DesiCinema. Directors like Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan are known for their bold narratives, while actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Taapsee Pannu are breaking stereotypes with their choice of roles.
Technology and Innovation: Advances in technology are also changing the filmmaking process. From CGI to virtual reality, new tools are being utilized to create visually stunning narratives that captivate audiences.
Conclusion
DesiCinema is a vibrant and ever-evolving art form that reflects the heart and soul of Indian culture. As it continues to grow and adapt, it remains a powerful medium for storytelling, capable of addressing complex social issues while entertaining and inspiring audiences. Whether through the grand narratives of Bollywood or the nuanced tales of regional cinema, DesiCinema invites everyone to explore the rich tapestry of Indian storytelling.
