bakunawa boy answers: moon!jerm edition because u guys rlly love jeremy being the moon or something,,,,

i am VERY in love with the idea that jeremy, who maybe doesnt know he’s the moon just yet, has a subtle influence on moon-related supernaturals everywhere. his water powers too kdfdsfshhh. basically, it’s really fun to explore just what his powers can do and how far we can push that before he just HAS TO KNOW that he’s TOTALLY THE MOON, you ridiculous oblivious boy.

when jeremy goes through his version of supernatural manifestation, all his powers start to trickle in and are kinda haywire. werewolves everywhere are So Confused. jeremy is feeling really down and every werewolf on campus just feels sad for some reason they cant quite place. jeremy is happy? good moods abound! jeremy is angry? “i dont know what im doing under this table, i just feel like i need to hide.” 

his water powers are like tides. push and pull. the real moon isnt very good at motor control, so jeremy would be the same, only able to make soup slosh around, or something. maybe he’s gesticulating a bit passionately, telling the lunch table a story, and jenna’s apple juice keeps tipping over. michael has his eyes narrowed, darting between juice to jeremy to juice.. SOMETHING MOON-Y IS AFOOT.

moonlight charged runes christine makes just suddenly recharge in jeremy’s presence. so tests it out by making jeremy hold various ingredients for potions (”Christine, why--” “Just hold it! For an hour! You’re doing me a huge favor.”) and when she brews a potion the next day, yep. the ingredients are moonblessed. 

michael buys a moonflower. it blooms only at night.

and, of course, when jeremy is around

i like to think that for a few months, rich had the WOOOOORST crush on jeremy. like im talking “J+R” dreamily drawn in a heart in the corner of his notes kinda awful. im accepting @hurricanesunny‘s Providence as canon for this ask, so this crush happens just a little bit after the events of the fic and the Full Wolf Moon fiasco. 

michael, who is a PRO at pining for jeremy, figures this out pretty quickly and sits rich down like. 

(”Okay, I’m the last person who has the right to tell you how to feel. I won’t even tell you that you can’t have a crush on Jeremy, because goddamn, I know it’s hard to not get a crush on the guy, but you need to ask yourself this question.”

Rich, who for some reason is intimidated by the authority in Michael’s voice-- There’s a feeling to it he’s never heard before. Not exactly protective. Not exactly human. Just on the edge between calm and primal--nods.

so rich thinks about it. he thinks about it and he swears that his feelings were valid. his crush fades naturally, but he cant help but be sympathetic to michael’s fears. he knows more than anybody just how it feels to be pushed by the magic that lives inside of them.

(”You didn’t tell me you were also the galaxy,” Michael says, tracing his fingers over Jeremy’s back while Jeremy tries to stifle a shudder or a laugh because, guh, that kind of tickles.

“What are you talking about?” Jeremy says, feeling safe and warm as Michael whispers an answer over his neck, breath soft.

“You’ve got---” Michael runs a finger across his back, as if drawing lines from one spot to the other. “--constellations.”

“Oh my god, Michael,” Jeremy turns around and shuts Michael up with a kiss before he can say anything else that’ll turn Jeremy’s heart into jelly.)

i mean, im a huge fuckin sap, so i like to imagine any first kiss between these boys (who have pined for a whiiiiile) would be overwhelming and filled with love, each movement, each minuscule shift and gasp, would be brimming with years of love and longing and oh god i cant believe this. 

but that paired with the cool circumstances of this au? wherein michael and jeremy arent just in love as humans, but drawn together by old magic and history? wherein past the undeniable fate between the dragon and the moon, jeremy and michael made the choice to love the boy first, everything else just trailing after like because nothing else mattered, really, past that?
