This is nearly a year old but as both a toh fan and a Wh fan SIRIUS SOLOS 😭😭

Alr so I love Hunter and both of these characters are my favorites in their respective series, but like my jaw fucking dropped at sirius's backstory that shit was HORRIFIC. I watched WH again recently with my siblette and we had to pause numerous times on his backstory because it was way too depressing and sad and horrific... SIRIUS SHOULD'VE WON.... Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

the whole witch ritual thing in ashe's route is so funny for so many reasons like:

noel (who we as a viewer virtually know nothing about at this point) starts off with a story about rationalizing suicide/suicidal ideation via magic in which he takes it as a given that everyone has wanted to die at some point

the rest of the cast has absolutely no comment on this story

this is immediately followed by a retelling of cinderella

sirius is literally just projecting his relationship with dorothy onto the relationship between the witch and cinderella

ashe is so clearly annoyed by sirius here

sirius is annoyed with ashe for giving "spoilers" for cinderella

despite ashe's annoyance and despite sirius rushing the entire end portion literally everyone (besides ashe) claps after the telling of cinderella including wilardo and zizel

despite all the elaborate rules and ashe's repeated warnings the ritual is literally useless you cant summon a witch because theyre not a distinct magical entity in this universe theyre more a social category than anything so this ritual resulted in Nothing

noel has to sit there watching ashe talk about the monster knowing he IS the monster and knowing that sirius is about to get really pissed off

after sirius attempts to strangle ashe all noel has to say when you talk to him afterwards is "i hope sirius is ok......" like ok you gay bitch
