Have you googled the definition of idiocracy? It’s a very worthwhile rabbit hole. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now we know what happens when a country is run by a toddler. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Toddlers should play and learn and be loved. They need to experience the uncomfortable feeling of limits and consequences from their caregiver while also receiving love and compassion. That’s called healthy attachment. Without healthy attachment, a toddler turns in to a grown man who has a tantrum every time he’s told he is wrong or asked to take responsibility for his transgressions. And he will fight, coerce and dominate until enough people have made those hard feelings go away. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let’s let the toddlers tantrum when they are 2, love on them while they feel the hard feelings and let them be proud of themselves when they feel resolved. Let’s never stop learning about healthy attachment so that we raise future leaders and healers. I think we might just be able to avoid this toddler-president-idiocracy-thing for good, and avoid moronic violence. Not sure, but hopeful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hats off to the bride and groom who wanted the kids at their wedding to have some fun too. Gifts were placed at the tiny guests’ dinner seats. They’re going to eat in 45 seconds and then be asked to sit still for another 45 minutes.
