This afternoon, tragedy struck our little family once more, my teenage brother has died of starvation...

...how did this happen??? WHY did this happen???

He's just a kid!!!

Daisy is heartbroken over the loss of her twin, she hasn't stopped crying. She won't let me move his urn outside to make a gravestone next to mum, she won't let anyone close enough.

DAISY: Why couldn't you remember to eat in time you idiot?

It's true that Darius would often lose track of time while he was working out, this time it was literally life or death. He'd made a plate of food, he was just too late to get to it. How do we get over this as a family? He was so young, it wasn't his time, the reaper didn't give me time to beg for his life...this should never have happened!

CLAIRE: When are you going to get it through your thick skull? I'm seeing someone now Adrian! I only came here as a courtesy because you had a right to know that you'd fathered a child! Nothing more and nothing less! Now goodbye!

ADRIAN: Who is he? I'll fight for you, if I have to beat him down with my bare hands, I will...for you! Because you're mine and I love you Claire! I won't ever let you go!

CLAIRE: I was never yours Adrian! You were just a stranger I picked up at a bar to complete one of my tasks as heir to my family. You're nothing special, but Kenzie is! I am really happy, it's true, but I get the feeling that Ophelia isn't telling me the whole truth...and that could be a problem!

HEIDI: Dad we don't want to be talking about this!

ZAC: Well Heidi that's just too bad because we need to talk about it!

ZAC: I know you don't love, but it's going to happen and it's going to happen soon! We have to be practical about it.

ZAC: Your sister here is in charge now, any problems you have, you discuss with her, alright Claire?

It's a lot of pressure, being the heir, but I'm going to be fine! Today I continued the Dowling family tradition of spinning that wheel...this should be fun!

Luka is baking a strawberry cake for little grumpy knickers, Birdie is growing up again and I can't believe it! Neither can Luka, he's a little sad about it.

COLT: Time to blow out the candles Birdie!

I can't wait any longer for Ophelia to change her mind, so I've registered with Cupid's Corner. I don't want anyone else but maybe this will give her the jump scare she needs to help me fix things between us, then again, maybe not. I'll delete my profile later.

My worst nightmare is happening, mum is dying!

As if she knew, mama Kenzie is also dying right above her seconds later.

At least they went together, I don't think either of them could live without the other so it's a blessing really. Double heartache for us, but the kindest thing for our mums.

But on the worst day of my life, Birdie ages up and she's so beautiful! She is her mother all the way, but she has my violet eyes. I am so in love, she almost makes me forget I just buried my parents. At least they got to meet her before they went.

BIRDIE: *chirp*

Birdie and Luka are back from her therapy session, it went really well and she seems to be progressing.

OPHELIA: Who's gonna be a big sister?

BIRDIE: MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

OPHELIA: That's right!

Since mama Kenzie died, Luka is the third generation to take over the garden, and he's got himself a cowplant...called Sansa Stark...everyone needs a hobby I guess...Luka just needs a love interest methinks. This show can't come quick enough!

Birdie and I are bonding today, I'm helping her stack her blocks to make a tower. She's doing really well!

BIRDIE: Me big sista, me da boss!

Yep, she's her mother's daughter alright!

Our little grump is ageing up today, and I'm not ready!

Her favourite person in the whole world is helping her blow out her candles.

LUKA: Well done Birdie, you're gonna be a big girl now!

She gets cuter every day, my Birdie! Despite her motor delay, she is a cheery little thing, and angelic, she shouldn't cause us too much trouble just yet. She's probably saving all that up for her teens!

Yep this motor delay isn't getting her down, or keeping her back! She's focusing on other things. She loves to play on her xylophone.

Although she hasn't quite figured out the stacking technique yet...

...but I'm sure she'll get there!

So I didn't get to propose to my Ophelia, but we are having a little family of our own. This is all I ever wanted, I just hope my mums live to meet their grandchild as past generations weren't that lucky!
