Rover: Since you're both new, you have the right to know that I only pull one person per banner so I'm sorry Roccia I won't be getting you.

Roccia: Ok

Rover: I promise that when you get here you'll have Brant waiting for you.

Roccia: Thank you.

Jinshi: Didn't expect you to be so cruel to a child.

Rover: This isn't cruelty it's mercy, I still need to level up the others and I'm pretty sure they're two white haired ladies eagerly waiting for us and I'm almost getting guilty about not giving one of them attention.

Jinshi: I know one must be Sanhua but the other is ?

Rover: Camellya and she is slowly befriending your guard which would make me happy if both of us were not the main topic.

Jinshi: Why would that be an issue?

Rover: They'll both realize the similarities between us and might start treating us the same so this is a preventive measure.

Jinshi: I suppose it'll be nice to join Sanhua in battle with our new outfits.

Rover: *burst out laughing*

Jinshi: Is there something to be laughing about?

Rover: Oh Jinshi, I respect you as a leader but there is no reason for me to even think about getting either of you new clothes.

*During pulls*

Camellya: You just had to laugh in her face.

Rover: Keep at and you'll never get your weapon.

Camellya: Maybe try a little begging.

Rover: Jinshi I'm please get here.

*Golden glow*

Rover: Really ?!

Verina: Hello

Rover:...

Verina: I'm guessing you weren't expecting me.

Rover: Where have you been ?

Verina: Huh ?

Rover: I've been trying to get you for months!

Camellya: Come on kid Aalto and Encore over there.

Sanhua: Rover, don't forget our main objective.

Rover: Oh right, time for plan B.

*Later*

Rover: Take the remaining Astrites and raise your arms like this.

Sanhua: Understood. *Clears throat* We await your arrival Madam Magistrate.

*Golden glow*

Jinshi: There is no need for such formality here Sanhua.

Rover: The second she puts on a new set of clothes you start descending from the heavens.

Jinshi: I just wanted to see my dearest friend wearing such a lovely outfit.

Rover: ok well congrats you're not getting a new dress or your signature weapon.

i just finished playing roccia's story quest! it was cute, but a little short for my liking; i actually would have enjoyed seeing more of it. there are some minor spoilers under the cut as i dissect my further thoughts -

the end of the banishments! this wasn't something that had been explicitly discussed in the main story, so i had wondered if that was going to come along with the permission to perform in ragunna again. the answer seems to be a resounding "yes", although it also seems like i was right to assume that the fools were not going to be allowed to LIVE in ragunna again.

i wondered how they'd excuse brant's absence, and i think it's kind of adorable how they did it. brant and bardolino apparently rushed right on over to ragunna the second they heard they could perform there, presumably to arrange for some dates and times the troupe could swing by and put on some shows. as an aside, roccia says something to the effect of no-one loving opera more than those two, which is also adorable.

i have liked and will continue to like the serious way in which the troupe's situation is actually handled. it makes me very happy to see the rituals that take place surrounding new pilgrims washing up on shore, and i'm also glad to know more about the conditions on the waves.

i did NOT know pero was there to save roccia! it might have been through leaks, but i was actually aware pero was "a suitcase that had been in the troupe's possession" prior to roccia bonding with her. however, i did NOT know that bonding happened under the circumstances it did!

brant having his back turned all of the 2 times he appeared. lol.

interestingly, we get to chat with the npcs in roccia's quest after the fact. i think every npc in the troupe is worth speaking to if you're interested in the troupe's lore, but if you want some cute little interactions with some closure, they join the troupe crowd after her quest finishes, although i'm not sure if they stay permanently.
