Summary: Renee and Jon come home from a few days on the road super sick. On top of the flu-like cold, Renee has ended up with food poisoning. You take care of them.

Jon and Renee stumbled into your home, looking utterly defeated. Their faces were pale, and they moved with sluggish exhaustion. It was clear that the days on the road had taken a toll, and something worse than a regular cold had gotten hold of them. On top of that, Renee had ended up with food poisoning, making the situation even more miserable.

You immediately sprang into action, guiding them to the living room and helping them settle on the couch. You fetched blankets, made sure they were comfortable, and took note of their symptoms.

Jon coughed and groaned, while Renee was huddled under a blanket, looking as if she'd seen better days. You could see the pain in their eyes, and it tugged at your heartstrings. The least you could do was make them feel comfortable and cared for.

You prepared warm cups of tea and served some light, easily digestible food for Renee, hoping it wouldn't upset her stomach further. For Jon, it was hot soup, a comforting classic to ease his coughing and congestion.

The rest of the evening passed in a blur of comforting gestures. You fetched water and medications, making sure they stayed hydrated and as comfortable as possible. You tucked them in, blankets piled high, and read them a story to keep their minds off their illnesses, even if just for a little while.

Throughout the night, you took turns sitting with them, cooling their foreheads with damp cloths, and administering any medications they needed. They both drifted in and out of sleep, their exhaustion finally taking over.

As morning broke, they were still not feeling their best, but there was a noticeable improvement. Renee managed a weak smile, and Jon's cough seemed less severe.

"Thank you," Jon rasped, his voice still hoarse from coughing. "I don't know what we would've done without you."

You kissed his forehead gently. "That's what I'm here for. Now, let's get you two back on your feet."

The next few days were spent ensuring their recovery. You continued to nurse them back to health, and they took it slow, focusing on regaining their strength.

Renee leaned against Jon, her arm around his waist. "We're lucky to have you," she murmured, her voice still weak.

Jon nodded, his exhaustion evident. "Yeah, we really are. Thank you, darlin'."

You smiled, grateful for the opportunity to care for the two most important people in your life.
