The film starring Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli will be released in two parts.
SS Rajamouli established the two-part pattern for blockbuster films with his Baahubali, which is currently reaping the advantages. Previously, Ram Gopal Varma divided his mafia drama Rakht Charitra (which introduced Tamil actor Suriya to the Hindi film industry) into two parts. That, however, did not work. More recently, Hemanth Rao collaborated with Rakshit Shetty on the magnificent Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A, which was released in theaters a few months ago. He is back this week with the sequel Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side B.
According to a source close to Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad, his untitled film with S S Rajamouli, which begins filming in early 2024, will likewise be a two-part feature film. "Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli discussed it," said the insider. They concluded that the script covers a much broader range than a typical film's running duration. They had two options: make a 4-hour-plus film or split it into two parts and release them two months apart. They chose the latter."

A LIVELY CONVERSATION WITH SRI ANNAMALAI SWAMI IN 1989
Q : From where and how did you come here to Tiruvannamalai?
AS: My native place is Thodankurichi. I was serving water to thirsty people (it is a practice in Tamil Nadu to make temporary sheds on roadsides during summer and offer water or buttermilk to travelers).
A sadhu came to my place and gave me Sri Bhagavan’s photo and Upadesa Saram and on the same night I started towards Tiruvannamalai. It was a full moon day.
Q: So you came straight here.
AS: Yes, I came straight here.
Q: So after coming here you did not return to your place.
AS: I did not go anywhere else. Arriving in Tiruvannamalai, I had the Darshan of Sri Seshadri Swami and he blessed me heartily.
Q: Where did it happen?
AS: In a corner next to Twin-Pillayar temple there is a Mutt and there I had his Darshan.
Q: Where was Bhagavan when you came here?
As: In a thatched hut on his mother’s samadhi he was sitting on a pial. Gopal Rao was doing the construction work of a big hall then.
Q: It was being constructed then?
AS: Yes
Q: So you did not do masonry work immediately on your arrival.
AS: I did not know anything about masonry work then. My father knew it well. He knew sculpting, making temple tower, building home, painting, astrology. Like this he knew four or five skills.
Q: So seeing his work you have learnt something.
AS: No, I did not learn.
Q: When you came here did Bhagavan say anything to you?
AS: While coming to have Bhagavan’s darshan here during the journey itself I had a dream in which I saw Bhagavan coming from the hill and washing his feet in a corner. I sprinkled that water on my head and drank some of it. Immediately I fell down and Bhagavan poured some water from his kamandalam in my mouth. This was the dream.
Actually, when I met him first he came down from the Hills as I saw in my dream but he did not pour water in my mouth. Like that, I had the dream.
Q: You have mentioned to me many times that Bhagavan blessed you very much personally on several occasions. Please tell us about these. Like for example when you were working in the hot sun, things like that you have told me before.
AS: Bhagavan while beginning a work suddenly never said ‘this is the way you have to do it’. He would subtly hint at the work like ‘somebody is doing a work, go and see what he is doing.’ There was a worker of Ramaswami Pillai doing a work. I asked him what he was doing, he said he was constructing a wall. I returned, just gave him the answer for his question. Second time Bhagavan asked me to go to him and ask him the same question. I did as he instructed, the worker said,’ I had already told you that!’ and I returned with the same answer. For the third time Bhagavan asked me ‘See what he is doing!’. I was wondering why Bhagavan was doing like this. This time the worker was irritant asking ‘Are you mad or what!’ The fourth time Bhagavan said, ‘Somebody else might take care of my side and you please do that work.’ I was wondering Bhagavan could have told this to me initially itself.’ I realized Bhagavan is only hinting each work, I could not learn to read it.
He would say only quarter of a word or half as a matter of hint . He would say ‘This cowshed should go bigger’ but would also say ‘don’t tell I have told you like this.’
Because of such things there would be some difference of opinion between Chinnaswami and myself. Chinnaswami would say ‘ Build it small.’ Bhagavan would say ‘do it big!’
Like this Bhagavan would say to me ‘ This place will become big city. Even after constructing the cow shed here, we may have to extend it out side also with so many cows coming in’. All this in the beginning itself!
If I said all this to Chinnaswami he would say ‘go away, you fellow! We do not have money or resources for that.’
Coming to the storeroom matter, there was one Kalluppatti Gounder who gave money to build a cow shed but we constructed a store instead. On seeing it Gounder became angry and shouted, ‘Fool, idiot, I asked you to build cow shed , you built a store!’ but Chinnaswami bore these insults patiently.
Later he was happy when we completed the cow shed and huge Kangeyam cows arrived. He was very satisfied then.
On a mid-summer day Bhagavan asked me to draw a mountain at the entrance of the store room. I did not know how to do it. That time there was no greenery in the Ashram. I was thinking I came here for liberation but Bhagavan was torturing me like that. As I was thinking like that exactly at 1 O clock Bhagavan arrived and said, ‘Thinking that you would do what I say I asked you to do this but If it is difficult for you, you can give it up’.
That moment I got one resolve even if the body gets destroyed I should do what Bhagavan said.
I told Bhagavan, I would do any work, only my mind should not hanker after sense pleasures. Bhagavan nodded smilingly.
Q : Even after coming here to Palakottu) Bhagavan would come to meet you?
AS: He would come and meet me, he would also partake of the food cooked by me.
Q: Please tell us how did you come here
AS: Before completing the big dining hall and kitchen, however much hard I worked, Chinnaswami would behave harshly with me and torture me. I felt like crying. There was one Yogi Ramaiah who was with Bhagavan said, ‘
'Annamalai Swami has become very weak after working so hard. He needs to be relieved. Bhagavan said,’ Yes, we have to give him freedom.’
One day myself and Madhava Swami were bathing Bhagavan after applying oil on his legs. I stood close to the wall. Madhava Swami asked, ‘ Bhagavan , those who take ganja (intoxicating drug) how would they feel the Ananda?’
Immediately Bhagavan stood up rushing to me and embraced my shoulders with both his hands exclaiming ‘ Anandam, Anandam!’ and laughed heartily. I went into deep samadhi and lost all awareness of the room, Bhagavan and Madhava Swami for about 10 minutes, experiencing a deep peace within.
Afterwards, I went to Bhagavan who in the mean time was on the mountain and I said,
‘Bhagavan I would move to Palakottu’ – He was with Madhava Swami sitting on a rock. I said, ‘Bhagavan, I shall go to Palakottu.’ He replied,’ Very good, very good!’ This he said this 3 times.
After that incident, on the same day, I handed over the keys and went to Palakottu.
