unfortunately, I have like... No Taste in Songs and all the songs I like which I think 'fit them' are for very specific reasons that Probably Only exist to me but shhh- it'll try my best to share them in a way that makes sense and u can give them a listen if u want or just ignore them ahah :'')

Anyway - here's some songs that have made me think of kunikidazai when listening to but they get more and more obscure/inaccurate (might just be me taking an opportunity to talk about songs I like... whoops)!!

1. Worst Case Scenario- The Hoosiers

This song to me is such a one to the other song, can be either knkd or dz addressing it to the other - both kind of criticizing each other's lives and how they behave but genuinely wishing the other to be better

2. Icarus - Bastille

Similar to the last one, feels like it could easily be a one to the other song but where they're more just aggressively concerned for each other's lives (Dazai w/Kunikida and his ideals and Kunikida with Dazai and his suicidal tendencies and both of them with their self-sacrificing tendencies (knkd and the helicopter and dz in the elevator))

3. Remains- Bastille/Rag n'Bone Man, Skunk Anansie

Another Bastille song,, this one is closer to an actual love song KDJFHKFJh but uhh,, it's a nice lil tune about always loving each other, even after death- even if not getting along always and that kind of just makes me think of knkdz (55 minutes knkdz specifically bc they do die (for a bit) together there)

(Also poet by Bastille is the Kunikida song ever if ur interested in just knkd)

4. Stranger- Covey

had to sneak a covey song in somewhere ahah- feel like this one would be more of a Dazai POV one just Not Feeling good enough for Kunikida's partnership (work, platonic, romantic or otherwise) esp when his past was still kept secret from him

5. New Face- James

This one's strange but here me out... It's Dazai's entrance Exam Kunikida POV coded to me- Been wanting to make an edit with this to the entrance exam stage play for forever

extra lyric,, that is vaguely also kunisaki to me ehehe

6. Cornflower Blue - Flower Face

This whole Song is SO Knkdz to me,, romance but in some strange morbid-is way with foreboding dark undertones and the constant threat of losing the other ahah

7. Garamond - Arm's Length

Garamond feels like another realistic KNKDZ song where it's... Not The Best Relationship but they're trying and are both dedicated to each other but it's still somewhat destructive/self sacrificing so idk??

8. Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins) - Father John Misty

This might be one of my favorite romantic songs of all time and so I just had to find a way to connect it to KNKDZ ahah- but? I like to view it as maybe?? them both trying to find a Normal relationship in another and just experiencing actual like,, healthy romance,, but this I feel?? would kinda be not accurate to canon and represent perhaps more of an idealized version of knkdz </3

but yeah, these two lyrics specifically remind me of them,, the first one would be from kunikida's pov as has always made me think of his plan of waiting till a certain age to date/get married/etc. and the idea that falling in love with Dazai would change how he views that and the second would be from Dazai's pov when they actually get together

Matteo Ezikel Morales was born on April 28th in 1985. At least that’s what he’s been told all his life. You see, Matty honestly had no idea if that was even his real name. He had grew up within the foster system. The thirty-eight year old was placed in the system the moment he was taken away from his birth mother’s arms. Because of this, Matty grew up tough. He grew up in Manhattan, New York and had to learn how to fight and stay strong. He learned how to take care of himself.

The social worker named Robin Clarke who had taken care of him all his childhood, they had formed a special bond since day one, and if you tried to argue then you’d be wrong since Matt considered Robin to be his “mother.” He wasn’t the best in school, always getting into fights and getting into trouble but Robin still stuck by him. She made sure he succeeded and even though the man didn’t get straight A’s but he did get some good B’s and C’s. Though he was a loner, always have been and probably always will be. Matty kept to himself, and when he was by himself, he found that he really loved fixing things. Anything with his hands. If something was broken, then Matt would fix it. It was a hobby that he had picked up and was quite good at it.

It was mostly cars. While fixing cars Matteo was able to get his hands dirty. He was able to get distracted. Distracted from love, but that was far from the truth. At just sixteen years old, when things were going good for a bit, he had met and fallen in love with someone named Sophia Wells. They were mad for each other, and Robin tried to advise him against it, considering they were going too fast but Matty didn’t care. He was happy. For the first time in his life, the kid was happy. He and Sophia were together for a few years, but at seventeen she found out she was pregnant. Matt had gotten her pregnant. Terrified and broke, he supported her with whatever she choose. They eventually broke up after her family had vanished & and Matty slipped up again. Getting into fights, getting into trouble. However, Robin made him go straight to work. She made him fall in love with fixing cars again and getting his hands dirty. After high school, and after his situation with Sophia, it was straight to work for him. Matteo went to work in a shop fixing up cars and bikes and any other motor vehicle. He loved it honestly, and it paid enough for him to save up but not just enough to rent his own place so he would still always crash at Robin’s.

However, Matty took up a second job which was freelance contracting and he thoroughly enjoyed it. That finally did it and Matt put his first down payment on a place in Brooklyn, New York. Though nights were lonely and he filled that loneliness with different girls throughout the week, women he’s flirted with at the random bars he’d drink at. No one ever really stuck. That was until he had met one girl, one girl whom he tried so hard not to fall in love with. They were usually one night stands with the women he’s slept with throughout the years and throughout his time in Brooklyn, but this women? No. She was it for him and he knew it and it terrified him. He was ready to propose and though before he could pop the question, the women disappeared.

Matteo was devastated honestly and he realized that he wasn’t cut out to be committed or tied down to just one person. So, in order to clear his mind the man took a vacation for first time in his life. For some reason that spot was North Carolina and Matty found Wilmington. Wilmington soon became home and he has never left. Still a loaner, the man opened up his own shop called Morales’ Body Shop & Co., and continues to be a freelance contractor as well on the side in town.

Matteo has been here for eight years. He still keeps in touch with Robin the one who practically raised him, and is forever grateful for her and her husband Chip who has helped him along the way.

Le nouvel album de Gorillaz se dévoile peu à peu. La liste des collaborations vient de filtrer ce matin et révèle un casting quasi parfait !

Depuis quelques heures, les réseaux sociaux se réjouissent d’une liste, apparue ce matin, et qui renfermerait l’intégralité des collaborations prévues par Gorillaz sur leur nouvel album. Si c’est le cas – la liste n’a toujours pas été officialisée par le groupe – ce nouvel opus réserve de très belles choses ! En effet, le groupe se serait ainsi entouré d’une série d’artistes d’univers très variés, allant du rap à la soul en passant par le hip-hop et le rock. Au programme, on retrouve donc Rag N’Bone Man, Mavis Staples (qui a récemment travaillé avec Arcade Fire), Grace Jones ou encore De La Soul.

Now That's What I Call Music! 96 (2017) I thought I'd be down with the kids and review the recent offering from the good people at NOW. There really is something to be said about how they have stood the test of time and just how popular they still are. I've been buying them religiously 3 times a year for the past 20 years, it just shocks me we're almost at 100. With the voice of NOW Mark Goodier back on board for advertising, personally I feel the only thing that letting the brand down is the NOW Music TV channel which has been stuck in the 80s since Christmas.
