Haruno Sakura's Crests would be Knowledge (Virtue) and Wrath (Sin). Her digivice is a light pink D-Ark/D-Power (which lacks the card slot and) which has a light forest green rim (around the screen) & matching buttons & a likewise strap with the clip for attaching the digivice to things being light pink. The digivice's dark grey square screen has 1 of Sakura's Crests appear on it in light pink whenever she connects with her Digimon partner emotionally in ways that link to either of the 2 Crests. She has a

Nyokimon nicknamed as Shānnarō (Sakura was gonna name the Fresh Digimon something sensible, but exclaimed "Shannarō!!" in a fit of anger at Naruto for a prank he pulled on her which resulted in the Nyokimon thinking her nickname is Shānnarō and refusing to change it). She's female. The duo initially don't get along, coz Sakura hid her true feelings in favour of trying to present herself as what she wrongly assumed Shānnarō wanted her to be. It took the longest for these 2 to form their spiritual connection & cause the digivice to appear, but their platonic friendship steadily grows ever since; Sakura learns self-confidence from Shānnarō during the 6 DigiDestineds' & their Digimon partners' shared adventures whilst Shānnarō meanwhile learns humility from Sakura.

Whenever Sakura & Shānnarō connect in a way that represents 1 of Sakura's 2 Crests, Shānnarō digivolves. Her 1st digivolution (and the moment when the digivice appears) is from her Nyokimon form into

Pyocomon/Yokomon.

Sometimes Shānnarō digivolves from her Pyocomon/Yokomon form into

Cutemon then

Aidmon then either

Medicmon or

Docmon.

Sakura & Shānnarō are the 1st in the group to matrix digivolve, merging (the latter in her Cutemon form) into

Biomon.

Sometimes Shānnarō digivolves from her Cutemon form into

Bitmon/Rabbitmon then

MarineAngemon.

KND Digimon AU: Sector QT

Numbuh 161's partner is the very energetic Pulsemon. The two met before Cyrus became a cadet and rescued Pulsemon from a group of bullies. Since then, the two have become inseparable. Pulsemon loves sports and is always on the move. He and Cyrus both share a love for thunder.

Numbuh 162's partner is the kind-hearted Cutemon. The two met before Paloma was a cadet and nursed an injured Cutemon. She quickly took a liking to Paloma and vice versa. Cutemon of course loves cute stuff and her favorite color is any shade of pink.

Numbuh 163's partner is the dramatic Psychemon. The two met before Monroe was a cadet. Psychemon was abandoned by his partner and got replaced by a much stronger Digimon. He was moping in the forest when he met Monroe playing with his friends and well. He tried to cheer him up after seeing him so down, invited Psychemon to play and well, the rest is history. Psychemon shares Monore's love of theater and wants to be the first Digimon to make it big in Hollywood. He also has a crush on Cutemon.

In-Training: Tsunomon

Champion: Sangloupmon

Psychemon's second Mega form is Anubismon. Monroe wields the Crest of Passion and his D.I.G.I.V.I.C.E. is copper brown.

Numbuh 164's partner (and by extension Dee's partner since animals in the KND can't have partners so they can share with human operatives) is the lively Shoemon. They met before Judy and Dee were cadets. Shoemon was a Zerimon at the time who was hiding from Teen Ninjas who were capturing Digimon to use for their schemes. Judy took the poor Zerimon in and the two have been close since. Shoemon has a cheeky personality and is often mischievous, but is a well-meaning friend and partner.

I have been seeing the digigirl zine all over twitter and I have been inspired to make a magical girl series for digimon.

The series would have the humans having a partner digimon that they have bonded with to gain superhuman powers on top of the same powers as their digimon. They are like Marcus from Data Savers where they can fight the evil digimon too alongside their partners.

Digimon evolve the more they fight with their partner. They protect the people from digimon trying to steal their dreams. Digimon have a need to evolve, but without a person's dream, it is not possible. Most digimon are a person's forgotten dream.

A lot of digimon are able to eat bad dreams too. Many are there to protect the humans from these nightmares and prevent more digimon spawning from it.

I think on top of the main digimon like palmon, biyomon, renamon, gatomon, and lunamon, there could be a very new ones for fun.

I avoided this game like the plague because of the mechanics. I also thought it was an unrelated Digimon game that was just marketed as a sequel....

Then I found out it indeed took place in the same universe as the first game with a visit to File Island from the first game. Which does explain the abandoned human items & architecture, which by proxy explains the abandoned items & architecture in the original anime... Is it possible that it could all be connected?

I'm not ready to go down that rabbitmon hole.

Digimon World 2 - Final Thoughts (??? Hours in)

Whelp, this wasn't as a painful ordeal as Digimon World 1 to beat, but it didn't have nearly as much character, so it's a definite step down. It was a decent zone-out game, but I got really fed up by the repetitive gameplay and lackluster storyline by the end. It's like a 4 or 5 out of 10.

Notes:

-If someone told me to give a recap of the plot of this game, I'd probably struggle. It was so poorly written and uninteresting that I gave up caring. The most confusing part was when they were like "The tamers were created by guardians" whaaa? How is that possible if they came from the human world? (This isn't me asking for an explanation by the way, I don't care).

-The FMVs (is that what you call them?) were really fun despite how short they were. It definitely elevated the ending in a way the game's usual, bland graphics wouldn't have been able to.

-The final boss had a cool design, definitely looks like he was inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics. Didn't fully comprehend his plan (something about absorbing me? lol) but that's fine...

-Wtf were the weird attempts at shipping at the end? All of the sudden they were like "Do you like Kim or Esteena better?" and I'm like "Who and who!?" (They're both wrong btw, Sheena was best girl).

(what does she mean "oh baby," wut)

-Post-game stuff was totally useless! First I got the best digi-beetle parts which, cool, I guess? And then I went on to do the 99 floors of Tera Domain. About 10 floors in I realized "this is pointless." I didn't need EXP, I didn't need new digimon and I didn't need new money. I knew I was gonna stop playing forever after Tera so I literally just started cheating and fast forwarding to floor 99. No regrets. The only cool thing about Tera is all the rare digimon, but why would I catch more digimon when there aren't any more missions? Maybe if it was like Pokemon and you could transfer them to other games I could see it...

-Through my googling adventures I found out that there's a modded version of this game (Digimon World 2 Alternative) that's just like better in every way. Probably not gonna play it, but if I would recommend people play that instead of this.

-There are some ye olde game rumors about being able to catch Kimeramon in Tera domain. Seeing that floating around was nostalgic for me. I kinda miss the olden days of video game hoaxes. Takes me back to when people were saying your dog could have puppies in Harvest Moon.

-I saw a couple of digimon for the first time in this game. One of its strengths is definitely its huge bestiary and all the animations/techniques they put together for each digimon. If they had made catching digimon fun I might feel more motivated to hunt a few cool ones down.

You would think my next game would be Digimon World 3, but I think instead I'm going to backtrack and play some of the earlier games. I'm trying to do release order as much as I can, but this franchise is all over the place! Might play the Wonderswan game(s) next.
