Alright we do need to talk again about not having any expectations of me.

Listen. Even when it's within the realm of my own interests, even if it's exactly what I may like, I'm simply not often motivated to fulfill what others (and not me) want to see in the work I do unless I'm paid for it. My ADHD brain is allergic to being told what to create unless there's a reward. My mind shuts down and nopes out, I literally cannot do it.

Usually if I do unpaid things for others, it's gifts or otherwise unprompted. It's typically for friends or those I'm familiar with, and I'm motivated by love and friendship and the desire to see people I care about be happy.

No matter how flattered I am that others like my art or writing, I don't do free work to appease strangers online. Remember, I don't know y'all. It'd be a bad precedent for me to set to allow people to start expecting that of me. Hell, even if you were my friend I'd say "the heck is wrong with you" if you expect things like that.

I don't know where the line in fandom started being crossed from "Fanwork is made to fulfill the creator's desires first and the others are just supposed to be along for the ride and appreciate it and expect nothing more", to this entitled nonsense of "Gimme more now, you faceless content mill who I won't even consider if they're a real person with their own life". Get the hell away from me if you have that attitude. You ain't getting anything from me that way.

I will be as friendly as possible and gladly enjoy talking to people or entertaining fun ideas! I like yapping. But you guys gotta cut it out with expecting art or writing from me. It's not happening. I don't do things the way some of your other favorite artists or writers might 'cause I'm built different. I will make or not make whatever I want on my own time and y'all gotta deal and stop pressuring me or others for Content Curated For You. It's gotta stop.
