Requested Review, SixStringNoise: Relics #repost This album was a pleasant surprise. This was so well done from start to finish. Recording quality was beyond excellent. It sounded like the acoustic guitar was next to me. This is an alternative rock album. I really can't compare them to anyone. They just sound like they intended. From the opening song"How's the world from up there" just grabs you. To the last song "Relics" that electrifies you. It was either a sitar in the last song or some unique guitar picking. This album kept me locked in the whole time. The only issue was the vocals were a bit forward at times and took away from the excellent musicianship. You need to hear this. 4.7 out of 5 Notable Tracks How's the World From Up There ...And When I Leave, I'll Fly None of Your Business Relics #guitarist #alternativerock #altrock #guitarplaying #guitargasm #guitarlegend tags by @hashta.gr #guitartalk #guitarcovers #guitarlick #rockalternative #altrocktime #altrockmusic #alternativerockbands #alternativerocker #altrockseattle #altrockmemes #altrockers #hashtagr #altrocksurfaces #alternativerockvinyl #alternativerockpop #altrocks929 #altrockbands #alternativerockfashion #altrocktime🌙 #altrockpop #altrockradio #altrockvinyl #altrocksinger https://www.instagram.com/p/B_GyD63J6mC/?igshid=1zsp61atnytz

Grover Doyle: A Musical Journey Fueled by Passion and Perseverance For young Grover Doyle, music has always played a pivotal role, filling the empty spaces of his life with melodies and rhythms. Starting with piano lessons as a child, Grover's musical journey took a decisive turn when he picked up the guitar at the age of 12, setting him on a path to become one of the greatest musicians of his time. Throughout his musical pursuits, Grover faced his fair share of struggles, but they have not dampened his spirit. In fact, these challenges have only strengthened his determination to reach his full potential as an artist. With unwavering resolve, Grover remains focused on achieving greatness in the world of music. In his latest album, titled "Stutterboy ii," Grover draws inspiration from a wide range of influences. The songs on this album seamlessly blend new wave synth tones with surfy reverb guitar, accompanied by forward and percussive basslines and intricate syncopated drums. The result is a fierce, brooding, yet tender sound that leaves a lasting impact on the listener. With rusty vocals that add a unique character, Stutterboy's music can be described as a fusion of 1980s Post-Punk and 1990s Psych Rock, infused with subtle elements of 1960s Northern Soul and West Coast Surf. The band deliberately keeps the origins of the album a mystery, allowing the tracks to speak for themselves. "Stutterboy II" features a total of 10 songs spanning over 34 minutes and 31 seconds. From alternative rock to 80's punk, each track is imbued with insane guitar riffs that add an extra layer of intensity and excitement. In this exclusive interview with Mister Styx of Musicarenagh, we delve into Grover Doyle's musical journey, his creative process, and the inspiration behind "Stutterboy ii" Prepare to be enthralled by the passion and talent of a musician who is poised to make a significant impact on the music scene. Listen to Stutterboy ii below   Follow Stutter Boy on Spotify Bandcamp Youtube Instagram What are your stage names -- for one of us -- Grover Doyle. Everyone else goes by their given/government names. Is there a story behind your stage name? More of an anecdote, really. One day we were playing that game where you place random names in front of your surname, in a jestful effort toy around with the idea of naming one's first born. Grover wound up in front of mind and I took to it. Where do you find inspiration? In conversation and people-watching, the music of others and how music aligns with the moment. What was the role of music in the early years of your life? All the empty spaces were filled with music of some sort. Whether it was my father's songs in the car, stealing my older brother's CDs to listen to with the living room stereo when no one else was around. Are you from a musical or artistic family? Musically inclined. Everyone in the family has artistic inclinations, but only a few have ever really pursued it beyond the hobby stage. My brother was the first real exception. Who inspired you to be a part of the music industry? I don't know that I ever thought of it as becoming part of an industry, but music was always apart of my life, though it lie dormant for quite some time. I've always found it easy to gel with musicians or other musically inclined individuals, and so in watching my friends create the stuff, I inevitably caved to the compulsion. How did you learn to sing/write/to play? Had piano lessons off and on as a kid. When I picked up a guitar around the age of 12, I slowly, but eventually learned through various music books and tabs online (a newer convenience at that time). What was the first concert that you ever went to and who did you see perform? Technically, the first was when my parents took me to Kenny G when I was four. The first concert I had an agency in attending was a local show of these pop punk and ska bands, a real suburban scene. I didn't really know the bands but I felt really cool seeing a local show at
13. How could you describe your music? Our drummer describes it as if David Bowie directed a spaghetti western. [caption id="attachment_49980" align="alignnone" width="720"] Our drummer describes it as if David Bowie directed a spaghetti western.[/caption] Describe your creative process. It varies, but it usually starts with the spark of a melody that inspires obsession. If I can obsess properly, then a song will come to fruition. What is your main inspiration? The works of all the great ones. What musician do you admire most and why? Dead? David Bowie. Alive? Cate Le Bon. Did your style evolve since the beginning of your career? Certainly, feels that way. This project began with a very strong acoustic and surf bend. As pedals and amps become more involved, so the sound and songs developed. Who do you see as your main competitor? Supposed to say myself, right? I only feel animosity towards others when I'm unfocused. What are your interests outside of music? Books, movies, buildings, any kind of art that expands my perception and/or keeps me distracted. Deep diving obscure etymologies, histories, and WebMD. If it wasn't a music career, what would you be doing? A life of pure squalor and/or corporate law. What is the biggest problem you have encountered in the journey of music? Getting it right. If you could change one thing in the music industry, what would it be? The insufferable personalities: the unnecessary gatekeeping, the ill-informed shit-checking, and people getting off on talking down to others. https://open.spotify.com/artist/1v10IPCwbTRogj0xKfBqkT Why did you choose this as the title of this project? We don't like to talk about it. What are your plans for the coming months? Write more. Record More. Play more. Do you have any artistic collaboration plans? Oh most definitely. Have another project cooking with an EP on the horizon there, we are currently tracking for that. I play bass for another band called Mooncult. They will be dropping singles all summer.

Lee Switzer-Woolf Pours His Into His Latest Album - Annihilation Signals Born Lee Switzer-Woolf is a professional singer-songwriter based in the United Kingdom, Reading. As a young child his musical taste was heavily influenced by the music his senior brother loved to play, and this gravitated him towards playing in bands. After the release of his debut album “Scientific Automatic Palmistry” which was released in 2022, Lee has since then been consistently working on improving his craft to give his fans something bigger. Here is something bigger, and it is called “Annihilation Signals” and this is the sophomore album release is a far bigger, more sprawling release both in terms of the fullness of the album’s sound, and the lyrical themes within. In a recent interview with Mister Styx of Musicarenagh, Lee Switzer-Woolf shared the main inspiration behind the album and this is what he had to say about it: “Annihilation Signals are used to measure the potential existence of dark matter. That idea of looking for something that we can’t see but that affects every aspect of our universe really fitted the themes of the album for me.” He continued saying; “It’s anxiety, it’s the threat of nuclear war, the climate crisis, our political landscapes, but also our personal ones. We are all being held in this state of potential catastrophe, and that’s what I was trying to examine with the new album.” Each song on the album is finely tuned to fit the listener's musical taste regardless of their background and that is a thing which can be attributed to Lee Switzer-Woolf. Annihilation Signals was written, performed, and home-recorded by Switzer-Woolf, and Mixed and Mastered by long-time collaborator Aden Pearce. You can literally taste the sweat and blood which was put in to get this project done, listening to Annihilation Signals you can clearly tell the beauty of it although some of the songs are melancholic, they convey a deep message with resonates with the listener. Lee Switzer-Woolf had more to say about his personal life and musical journey as whole. Get the full story below while you enjoy  Annihilation Signals   Follow Lee Switzer-Woolf on Twitter Spotify Soundcloud Bandcamp Youtube What is your stage name: Lee Switzer-Woolf Is there a story behind your stage name? Nope, it’s just my name! Where do you find inspiration? A lot of my songs tend to be introspective, dealing with anxiety, grief, and personal relationships. On the new album I’ve tried to look outward more but really it’s just catastrophising on a greater scale. What was the role of music in the early years of your life? I always felt a connection to music, but I didn’t act on it nearly enough in my youth. I started writing song lyrics very young, but I never did anything with them. I didn’t naturally feel any talent for music and I didn’t push myself to really try until college. Are you from a musical or artistic family? No, I’m not. My mum would show me 60’s music she liked, like Herman’s Hermits, but it was my brother’s musical taste that really caught my attention. He got me into bands like Radiohead, and that’s when I started to feel a genuine connection to music. Who inspired you to be a part of the music industry? I don’t think of myself as being part of the music industry. I’m perfectly content to be making music for myself, and the fact that other people have found a connection to the songs is amazing. In terms of inspiration though, I think I would’ve given up making music long ago if it weren’t for my friend Alex. He and I have been in punk bands together for over 20 years now, and for as long as we’ve known each other he has pushed me to get my music out there, long before I believed in my ability to do that. How did you learn to sing/write/to play? I taught myself mostly. The first band I ever formed was with a friend of mine, Pally, and we were dark indie-folk songs, not dissimilar to the kind of thing I put out
now. Except that all I did was write the lyrics, because that’s all I could do. I bought a guitar from him and started to learn to play and went from there. What was the first concert that you ever went to and who did you see perform? It was Radiohead, touring OK Computer, at a sports centre in Reading. 20+ years later I’m still trying to top that. How could you describe your music? My music has been described as indie-folk or folktronica. At the heart it is simple introspective alt-folk, but I’ve built in electronic elements. Certainly my new album is much fuller in sound than my previous effort, less focussed on acoustic guitar and stripped back arrangements and more built around a full band sound. Describe your creative process. I almost always start with the lyrics. Lyricism has always been where my heart lies, and my main driving reason to keep creating. I try to write as much as possible, preferably writing something every day, even if it’s just a few lines. The musical side doesn’t come as naturally to me. I usually play around with an acoustic guitar and try to get something basic going in terms of melody and song structure. On the new album a lot of the work came together in actually recording the songs, as I tried to add as much as possible, knowing I could strip away what wasn’t needed or wasn’t working later. It was all about getting down a lot of ideas. Once the tracks were recorded I handed them over to Aden Pearce, who also mixed and mastered my last album Scientific Automatic Palmistry. Shifting through the mud of my recordings and clearing up / highlighting the best bits is like a super power that he possesses, which I definitely do not. I think we work very well together in that respect. What musician do you admire most and why? I love Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. It comes back to lyrics again, and the sheer depth and consistency of his work is unbelievable. He’s also seemingly not stopped creating for well over 20 years, without diminishing returns. https://open.spotify.com/artist/39FQMAp2C86W7yagW3n43h?si=UMpiKLYeRzudOzR7-MmP9g Who do you see as your main competitor? I don’t really know what that means, I don’t think musicians have competitors, do they? I will say that my 6 year old has started freestyling his own song lyrics and I’m a little concerned that he might be catching me up already. So, I’ll go with him. What are your interests outside of music? I love all kinds of writing, and I’ve tried my hand at poetry, screenwriting and that kind of thing. I wouldn’t say I’m good at any of it, but I feel lost when I don’t have something that I’m working on. Why did you choose this as the title of this project? Annihilation Signals are used to measure the potential existence of dark matter. That idea of looking for something that we can’t see but that affects every aspect of our universe really fitted the themes of the album for me. It’s anxiety, it’s the threat of nuclear war, the climate crisis, our political landscapes, but also our personal ones. We are all being held in this state of potential catastrophe, and that’s what I was trying to examine with the new album. What are your plans for the coming months? I’m going to be promoting the new album as much as possible. I’m playing a run of acoustic shows with two fantastic artists Page of Swords and Jack Cade, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m also finishing off an album with my punk band Launch Control, which has been such a great process so far, so that is really exciting. Do you have any artistic collaboration plans? There are a couple of things that I’ve talked about with various other artists that I’m really interested in pursuing. The idea of collaborating is something I’m definitely interested in, so we’ll see what happens. What message would you like to give your fans? I’m just very appreciative of all the support that the last album received. I really hope that people find something for themselves in these new s
ongs. Let me know what you think, I’d love to hear from you.

Cloud Vincent Drops Lady Of The Night A Once more, Cloud Vincent has perfectly captured the new-age indie vibe. Cloud Vincent released his single Lady of the Night, which, explores themes of self-esteem and paranoia. On Lady of the Night, Cloud Vincent provides a fluid and entertaining experience. He opened Lady of the Night with a subtle groovy beat and a playful catchy vocal melody, both leading the song’s build-up and setting its easy-going mood. They blare from the darkness and the song wraps around them Adding some guitar melodies to the mix, Cloud Vincent slowly takes the song’s dynamics to the next level with fresh melodic guitars, changing vocal melodies, and injecting more powerful beats into his sound, creating an energetic mix with an irresistible groove. That guitar opens up rock, diving more into funk jams, it could even take a side step into shoegaze. Lady of the Night has a solid flowing structure with a multi-layered arrangement in perfect harmony and smooth seamless progression, making it one of the catchiest tunes I’ve listened to in a while. The vocals push the melody and swing through the verse into a chorus that you may never get out of your head. Lady of the Night is a cool tune with a beautiful mellow flow and strong groove, it has a catchy sound that’ll make it easily slip into your “On Repeat” playlist right from the very first play. Jarpsy Hits The Road With 'Scraper' Jarpsy starts off their “Scraper” with some crazy guitar riffs that come crushing accompanied by some hard-hitting drums. Time and time again Jarpsy has proved when it comes to making music and live performances they know what they are up to. Scraper is a rock ballad that shares the everyday struggle of the working class, where they constantly have to keep it with work and sometimes take care of the home and family. This can be really stressful, but instead of a melancholic song, the band turns it into a frenzy. When it comes to live performances, Jarpsy prides themselves as one of the best and if you have even attended any of their shows you would attest to that fact. From playing in underground venues to their time supporting sold-out tours with the likes of Sticky Fingers, The Fratellis, and Danté Knows. Scraper is an energy drive alternate rock that makes the crowd go crazy when it starts to play, listening to the song you can hear the synchronization between the members, and the instrumentation allows the lyrics and the raw voice of the lead singer to stand out. Wild Horse Comes Through A New One Titled 'Angles' Wild Horse is an indie trio that was formed by brothers Jack and Henry Baldwin along with their best pal during their primary school days in Sussex, southern England. The trio since has developed their crafts throughout the years to become what we call near perfection. The song was written by Wild Horse Frontman Jack Baldwin & produced by Matt Leppanen & recorded at The Animal Farm Music studio in London. The song "ANGLES" muses on the age-old issue of having the courage to express one's emotions. It's a triumph from a band on the rise that exudes conviction and style. But when it pertains to romantic relationships, everyone is uncertain of their perspectives. Angles take you back to the 70s era, a laid-back vocals delivered on an addictive instrumentation. The theme of the song is clearly brought to light from the initial beginning of the song, this allows the listener to have a bond with the song while jamming to it. It’s amazing how Wild Horse makes music seem easy, because definitely this record took some dedication and hours of production, the song rather came out smooth and cathartic. The drums take the lead in the song, occasionally interjected by the guitar riffs and toppled with great lyricism, one thing that cannot be overlooked is the smooth vocals which was laid on the instrumentation, a classical example of the band's capabilities, showcasing the wealth of the trio. MAL Talks About Their New Single 'Come To Light' “None of us were ever inspired to be in the "industry". We were all inspired to get the music out of our heads and express it. Then, we all eventually found other musicians as teenagers to express it with. We all learned how to collaborate, know what's best for a song, and perform with our instruments. Next, we performed in front of people. ...and here we are This piece was taken from a recent interview between the Trio MAL and Mister Styx of Musicarenagh when they were asked ‘who inspired them to be part of the music industry. After the lockdown, the Trio decided to make a conscious effort to make music that can be a source of strength and hopes for people who are going through a hard time. MAL is Peter Hollywood, Bass who is the Studio Musician, engineer, and formerly of bands Ding Mao and Vermiscious Kanids, then there is Kris Jung, Vocals/ Guitar who also played for Black Cast and Radio Free America, and Brendan Reynolds, Drums formerly of Flowbis and Boy Hits Car. The Trio combined their forces and has come out with a single titled Come to Light. Come to Light is the first single and title track to the forthcoming full-length album to be released in Summer 2023 “Come to Light was what it sounded like I was singing. It made sense, so we stuck with that and I wrote the lyrics around that topic. The song is a "fuck you" to those entities and groups pressuring people to disengage from their passion, beliefs and trust in themselves. It's a call to action for anyone questioning their own positive spirits...especially after the last couple of years. It's an affirmation for people to believe in their own freedom.” - MAL Listen to Come To Light below Follow MAL on Facebook Twitter Spotify Soundcloud Bandcamp Youtube Instagram Songkick Tiktok What is your stage name MAL Is there a story behind your stage name? The bass player and original drummer were from a great underground touring band called DING MAO. One of their EP's was titled "Mal". We grew tired of coming up with band names, so I shouted, "We're MAL. That's it. Simple. Easy. Bad. We are MAL." Everyone agreed. Well...they were a bit biased, of course. hahaha Where do you find inspiration? The bass player, Peter Hollywood, and I, Kris Jung (vocals/ guitar) are always coming up with new riffs. We don't really find inspiration. I think it finds us. Or, we inspire each other when we jam and noodle around in the studio. What was the role of music in the early years of your life? Music was a constant part of thought. Whether rhythms or beats were infecting the day's thoughts or melodies. Mom was hired by churches as a musician, so she always brought instruments home. She was always playing, singing, and arranging music on piano or guitar. She would take me to church (work) on the weekends and I desperately wanted to join the church band. She let me sing with the group a few times. That kind of early exposure really develops an interest in a young impressionable mind as a kid. [caption id="attachment_48240" align="alignnone" width="720"] Music was a constant part of thought. Whether rhythms or beats were infecting the day's thoughts or melodies.[/caption] Who inspired you to be a part of the music industry? None of us were ever inspired to be in the "industry". We were all inspired to get the music out of our heads and express it. Then, we all eventually found other musicians as teenagers to express it with. We all learned how to collaborate, know what's best for a song, and perform with our instruments. Next, we performed in front of people. ...and here we are. This is where it ends for us. We just want to play the music we like. We realized others like it too! That's it. We just want to play. We're focussed on recording and performing the music with passion. Any industry involvement is outside of that. However, we've been finding through our last two albums that
we have die hard fans that buy our merch wherever we go, we're happy to continue to produce more for them. How did you learn to sing/write/to play? My mother taught me some basic chords at 8 years old. From there, I learned to recognize intervals and play along with the albums I was listening to as a child. Then I started putting things together myself. The other members have their own stories and I'll have to forward these questions to them. What was the first concert that you ever went to and who did you see perform? My mother took me to see her favorite bands at The Greek Theatre. I think my first concert was a 60's reunion show, The Bangles, then I went to the shows I wanted to go to- Fugazi, The Exploited, Porno for Pyros, fIREHOSE at The Hollywood Palladium How could you describe your music? Our music is several genres underneath the Alternative Rock umbrella, much like other multi-genre'd bands  ie: Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, PJ Harvey, and so on. We have songs that can be shoegaze. We have songs that are seemingly post-rock. We use odd time signatures. We can be prog like Rush, and some very simple songs can have a very prog-like arrangement. Yes. The arrangements of songs can definitely be "experimental" or "prog-ish". We sometimes make listeners "work for it", so to speak. You'll think we're going right back to the part you like- like every other pop song does, but then we'll take it in another direction. We DO take you back to what you want, but we want to create a journey of it to get you there. Sometimes it's psychedelic (not as in the genre "psychedelic rock", but in the song's build up. We LOVE acid breaks - The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Thos City of Angels Break Beat Records DJ's spin at clubs. We love the Olav Basowski techy House records and how they build. We're far out there sometimes. We have a song we released in December called Ritual. It's instrumental. It's 14 minutes long. It's definitely heavy, psych, rock, post-rock. We made that one for people tripping on acid or shrooms. If they are capable of putting it on during their trip, we like to think it's a good accompaniment to their journey! Don't get me wrong- we have a lot of straight forward stuff as well with elements of these things thrown in. Describe your creative process. Several ways. 1. parts and arrangements have been brought to us by one member. This can be altered or kept. We try all variations and stick with what we like. 2. a part or riff is jammed. Our rehearsals are recorded professionally in our lock-out. The jams often go places. Those places can be new parts. They can be new songs. 3. A riff/ part with a melody. Sometimes we sit on it and come back with a new part a week later. Often times we like to keep things simple, and they become more complex as they go. 4. Lyrics: for some reason the melody and syllables are always there, present in my mind. Listening back to the gibberish vocals on the daily rehearsals, the mind creates words out of the muddled mumbles. Things start to make sense and then the blanks are filled in to create the story as clever and reflective of the feeling as possible. The lyrics I write are reviewed by the band. The band will then throw in suggestions like " I always thought you were saying this...." Sometimes the suggestion is a far better choice than the way I was depicting the words. 5. Lyrics 2: sometimes there are lines or phrases I have that I wait for a riff to match to. Then we repeat the above process. It's a great team! What is your main inspiration? The music in our heads. What musician do you admire most and why? Too many. Why? For the gifts they have given us! https://open.spotify.com/artist/2hyOZmaljOYcR4AF0Wl13r?si=OPy1V0lvRpeELPxiXWt9tA Did your style evolve since the beginning of your career? Personally, yes. Definitely. As a band, mmmm maybe. I think we've maintained a lot of what we are. We are so many different things under the realm of what each band member loves and appreciates about music and melody.
We may have become technically better at our instruments, but our styles remain. This song is definitely reflective of our styles and mood going all the way back to our first record. It's tried and true MAL. Who do you see as your main competitor? Ourselves. We're not trying to compete with anyone. What are your interests outside of music? Mining for gold. If it wasn't a music career, what would you be doing? Dying What is the biggest problem you have encountered in the journey of music? Hmmmm. I'll have to get back to you on this Why did you choose this as the title of this project? Come to Light was what it sounded like I was singing. It's an affirmation for people to believe in their own freedom. What are your plans for the coming months? We plan on releasing a few more singles while we gig and tour the US. The full-length record will be released in July and we'll have a couple new videos as well! We're still booking more and more as we go! Do you have any artistic collaboration plans Not currently What message would you like to give to your fans? We've always made music for ourselves, but because you were there buying and streaming our music, singing along at shows, and supporting us where you could, we promise to always give you the best of us. We love you so much!! Thank you for yours! We think you're going to love this new record! It's our best work! THANK YOU

The trio sets sail to produce mind-blowing songs that can stand the test of time, and surely listening to songs produced by the trio, it is undebatable that their songs are everlasting. SØUNDHOOSE is a band that promotes and advocates mental health as that is the core of a person’s being. As such most of their songs are circulated or centered on how to strengthen your mental self. With inspiring great lyrics, SØUNDHOOSE has compiled 15 songs under the moniker CRANIOTØMY. Each song is produced in such a way that the lyrics of the song are crystal clear so as not to lose focus of the theme of the song. CRANIOTØMY is a culmination of the mental warfare that is depression, seclusion, paranoia, anxiety, toxicity, and all the feelings that one might consider themselves weak if he/she/they admit they succumb to – says Brandon Smith Mental health is a topic most people shy away from, and for this, many people are losing themselves, but SØUNDHOOSE gives hope by providing songs that provide aid and dance to. This is an outlet to provide help and support for everybody regardless of age, sexuality, or nationality as everybody needs help and support, this is the best outlet for that discussion. Toby Pearce Describes What Happens During Strange Times With only two songs under his belt Toby Pearce has over 6k monthly listeners on Spotify alone, this is a clear indication of how good his singing songwriting is. ‘Strange Times’ is the current and second song from the multitalented artist. Although Toby Pearce is new on the music scene his music is way ahead of him, and this is very evident in the songs he has released so far. Strange Times is a ballad, and just as the title, the song talks about the strange things that happens or we go through on a day. The strange things that happen to us. Sometimes we are faced by obstacles that seem too big for us or even obstacle, strange times is a reminder that sometimes things don’t go as planned. Its fascinating to hear someone voice out all the uncertainties and the conflicting voice we hear in our head. Someone please explain to strange times “ is a distinct lyrics in the song that ascertain the fact every human faces strange times.
