#pleinairpril Day 16: Mareep (random street view taken from MapCrunch)

I 1000% did this one solely for myself because I absolutely LOVE Mareep. (Just look at it munching away on its grass, not a thought between those eyes 😭💖) It is my favourite Pokemon and I need more art of it to exist in the world so I was delighted I got to use this as an excuse to do it 😈

Going through my dark and brooding era. Is pleinair painting cooler if you make it spooky? I hope the answer is yes. Here are 10 of my 15 nocturne paintings I showed at SITTING OUTSIDE 2, a pleinair painting show in Los Angeles that I curated. I did all nocturnes for the show this year. Hoping to keep that going.

The people i got to know in Zamość left only a shadow of their life on my memory. When you paint in public, people want to see, they want to talk to you. Fellow painters, art enthusiasts, natives and tourists gather around your easle and talk about their lives. Their faces escape me, but their stories don't.

Throwback to some of my first pleinair paintings of my childhood home garden. The garden doesn't look like that anymore at all though - so it feels like these paintings are just memories now, they make me nostalgic.

#pleinairpril Day 3: Froslass (random street view taken from MapCrunch in Andorra)

I'm starting on the Pokemon request prompts and the first one is Froslass ❄️ I've always had a hard time painting snowy scenes like this, I never get the texture right, but I did really enjoy working on this, it was great practice! Also, I love Froslass' design, it's so cool 😎❄️
