Okay the post about Scott, Pearl, Gem has got me thinking. Why do they always pick the least defensible grudges?
Like Pearl's mad that Scott didn't want to team with her. Not beating the crazy ex allegations by refusing to take no for an answer.
Of anything Scott could be mad about, the one thing he continues to be mad about is the purposeful damage, which is the one thing he started! And he's stuck on the snow buckets specifically for some reason.
Gem's mad that Pearl fought with her actual ally in the finale. You can't even claim misunderstanding for that one, there was a whole scene where everyone got together and explicitly established what team Scar, Pearl, and Gem were on.
#cryptid speaks#Pearl being mad about the axe crits would be way easier to defend#but I'm not convinced she even remembers them since she hasn't mentioned them episode 2 of double life#Even if Scott was set on being pissed about damage#literally anything but the snow buckets would be more defensible#Pearl went to the Nether and got him hurt before the axe crits#the fall damage/fishing rod thing did significantly more damage to him than Scott did to her#she pricked herself on a cactus while they were allied so there's a betrayal aspect to that one#like I think it says something about the characters that they are mad about those things specifically#And their arguments being bad doesn't invalidate their feelings#But they are bad arguments very bad
