3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

steph you always want to get me bragging.

i'm going to say 1 fic and 1 other kind of work thing because i have done several things and they're hard to compare

fic: exactly the same clean room, exactly the same clean bed because i do not think it's my best written fic necessarily, but i had a very specific set of emotions i needed to get into this fic and i think i did that well. i obviously do not usually write in 2nd person so that was weird (like wdym i as the reader am c.avan b.iggio. ok then), and also following up on a fic that i wrote months ago and never made to have a sequel. i think i did a decent job at making that work anyway, and i think i did a good job at making it feel familiar in a deeply uneasy way.

not a fic: my poem up high and aloft! because i am so so happy with the format and it's weird and almost modular and it can be so many different things. and also because it was a lot of work to write and to set up technically and i'm so glad that it ended up doing what i wanted (that's my romansen poem with sections that change every time you refresh)

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

like 1 actual wip (my romansen baby of course. there is no baby in the fic i'm just calling it my baby because it feels droppable and like i might kill it) and a pile of vague ideas that are in my wip folder but are really just between 1 and 3 sentences

"Creation and Destruction" - Lavellen travels to ancient Arlathan to do reconnaissance on the Dread Wolf and finds herself in his arms

"A Ritual Interrupted" - follow-up to the above fic, where a very preggo Lavellan shows up at Solas's ritual and he flips out because who got her in that condition?! (hint: it's him, in the past)

"Solassan" - that one explains itself lol

"Skyhold Fireside" - post-Fade DAI feat. Hawke and Varric finally confessing their feelings and banging it out under the table by his fireplace in Skyhold

"Starkhaven AU" - the one where Hawke and family, fleeing the Blight, end up in Starkhaven instead of Kirkwall; she joins the city guard and is assigned to the personal security of the rakehell princeling Sebastian; enemies to lovers ensues

"Inquisition Arc" - the DAI timeline sequel to These Hands, If Not Gods (i am well aware I am unhinged for this)

finally finished a Matt/Hux thank you piece for @onewhositswiththeturtles hope you like it! Based on this mini comic and  this fic

//HUX Comic mention- Matt is the one who “took care of” the other Radar Technician mechanic who tried to sabotage their ship. Hux was there to watch while Matt destroyed him with his bare hands out of pure love.

New things I tried: I posted an original work for the first time in a very long time, and I'm still so happy how well-received it was. I wrote monster smut. I participated in an exchange for a fandom I hadn't written for yet.

Fic I spent the most time on: I don’t know. I’m usually a quick writer. Maybe when is a monster not a monster (you love him), because I had the idea immediately, but wasn't sure how to go about it.

Fic I spent the least time on: As I said, I’m usually a quick writer anyway. It’s probably one of those short prompt fics I did.

Favourite thing I wrote: Good question. Maybe in the shallows, because mermaids <3 But also when I think about you I touch myself, because those are my babies <3

Looking Back, Did You Write More Fic Than You Thought You Would This Year, Less, Or About What You’d Expected? Less. I had a bit of a writing slump at the beginning of the year, and some things happened over the summer so that I had to drop out of Black Emporium this year.

Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion: wenn du nach mir greifst dann halt ich dich, of course. Come read horsegirl fanfic XD But also, unrestrained summer fun. There's a few people I thought would like it.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story: I don't think any of those were unintentional. It's pretty obvious what I like, but I intended to write them like this.

Biggest Disappointment: I mean, not getting feedback is always a bit disappointing, but all in all, there wasn’t that much to be disappointed about this year.

Biggest Surprise: Horsegirl fanfiction! I mean, looking back, it is completely on brand for @spacerhapsody and me that we would watch a show like that when we finally met, but I would still never have predicted it. Also, I didn't think I'd post original work (again), and I have @sinelaborenihilsr2 Solo Satisfaction challenge to thank for that.

My Favourite Part Of Fandom This Year: The @fiendsandfangs exchange! People are so so lovely!! And HEX! Also a super nice, positive experience.

Writing goals for next year: I don't know? I don't think I have one? Just have fun XD

Did you meet last years goal?: It was "Write more original fic", and yes, I did! :D
