I love how they always have to contrive a reason to bring Quark along. And by they I mean both the DS9 crew and the episode writers

Honestly, this does kind of feel like Sisko's just bullying Quark

Since we now know Julian's memory is Excellent, I kind of wonder if this is laying the groundwork for Sisko to assume that any knowledge Julian does have comes from the aforementioned downloaded files, rather than wondering how he knows it. (That was an awful English sentence, sorry.)

This is EXCELLENT - although I think it definitely confused me having memories of this episode later down the line but not remembering it had been in a dream. But yes, VERY GOOD. (Not least because of the Garashir, I'm sorry, what can I say, I'm a person of simple pleasures.)

single line, para, or novella: I tend to stick with Paras, but sometimes the brain just isn't braining and I've started exploring one-liners. I wish i could write a novella.

plotting or winging it: I'm like so chill. Granted, plotting may be difficult for me at times just because brain fog is a real thing with my disability, so that's why I tend to enjoy memes, starter calls or even random starters thrown my way. But if you want to plot, I'm open to it too. It will just take me time, and I'm usually cool with anything. I go with the flow.

fighting threads, you bold enough for them? I'm not a huge fan of them. I'd rather skip to its end.

what content warnings are on your blog?: Most of the common ones, I think. That violence might occur, fantasy bigotry (people being prejudice against elves, for example), drinking/drug use in character, a character speaking about past abuse, that kind of stuff.

what things do you need tagged for your comfort?: Not much? Callouts, I suppose, cause that's generally stuff I don't really want to see. Otherwise, I'm pretty okay. I use xkit, tumblr's blacklist, and the block button when I need to.

shipping preferences: single | multi | no ship | polyship. Multiship, I'm very open with shipping. However, I do have a few things that I refuse to ship for personal reasons that's listed in my rules and wanted connections, including my muses bios.

shipping boundaries: I'm fairly open, but like I said above, there are a few things I refuse to ship for personal reasons --- I won't do anything involving incest, minors, the usual, and I won't ship Snape with any Death Eaters, students or Voldy himself. I'm just not comfortable with that and don't see it happening.

fun facts about yourself that may have changed since in the past ten years( when inquisition dropped )-- I've started giving a lot less of a shit about canon or what people online think of me/what I like. I think that has more to do with getting older in general though.

I'm a cosplayer. I go to conventions and do cosplay things on the side besides writing on here.

Been unemployed for 2 years now due to my nerve disability getting worse and making it harder for me to hold down a job or do the basics (like write with a pencil or dishes. You name it. I can at least still type to a degree.)

Since 2020, I really started diving into video games more and consider myself a gamer girl now. I grew up without a console. I used to be known as a PC gamer playing games like Runescape & LOTR Online --- that kind of stuff.

Despite the controversy surrounding Harry Potter, I grew up with it and when I was 11 and going through one of the hardest moments of my life, it was like a shinning light to me. So it holds a special place in my heart, especially with the character of Snape. That is why I will stay firm with him on here as one of my muses and probably never remove him.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was the first game I played that had a true grip hold on me and probably what made me fully feel like diving head first into video games more during 2020. I'm a big fan of storytelling and everything about that game is perfect --- except for maybe the combat button options at times, but it's still among my Top 5 favorite video games and will always have a special place in my heart too.

First Open Letter to McQueen

JULY 7, 2024 Dear McQueen,

Today, I saw you in the first drip I gifted you. Of course, I don't know what your size is. I'm but a noona who clings to your parentals' advice. Today, you cleaned up real good and no burst of kaaburiduhan which is quite surprising. Must be because you dozed off in the car before this meet up. Must be because, you're starting to co-exist with your crazy fambam. Must be because, you're just in the mood for the center stage. After all, today is your Chapter 1.

While I rarely carry you for some many reasons (some of which are too unreasonable), I am carrying the unwritten rules that come with being your noona. I took care of your crazy dad, and it's kinda coming into a full circle. Unlike your dad, you're a not so tiny bundle of "joy" and that means you're officially part of my list of priorities. LELS.

I don't know what our dynamics is because I just can't stand kids in general, however, know that your noona is here just in case you need help with anything, literally and figuratively. Unlike how I looked after your dad, let me take care of you from a safe distance wherein I'll zoom in and zoom out of your life.

Let me do a better job, because, I've had really terrible jobs when I was looking after your dad ages ago. Let me show you that life is like biking. You just have to bite the dust, from dawn 'til dusk. EMS. Let me share with you stories of your crazy lola whom you won't ever meet and greet. While she's no longer here, her love an life lessons live on, McQueen. And you are the testament of her life's one-liner. LUH. While you don't have her features (thankfully), I know that her blood runs deep in you. Her story is yours to continue.

May your story be the start of something wonderful, unapologetic, and worthwhile. May your story end the bad, the ugly, and the fucked up bits and pieces, too. It is not easy, little one, but noona is just here to check on you, and your crazy dad, too, at times when you and him need me the most.

While noona's bandwidth and patience are almost non-existent, know that you can kinda count on me when it comes to things that your dad is not skilled at. Some of these skills include: -Jumping off a cliff -Gala, gala, gala -Saying yes to adventures and misadventures -Talking about the hard questions -Finding the answers or at least, trying to figure things out -Thinking of workarounds and pivots -Simplifying complicated shit -Complicating simplified shit (LOL) -Building Legos (or something similar) Your crazy dad's skill sets are generally impressive which are noona's waterloo. Some of these are:

-Saying no more often -Staying home more often -Thinking about what other's feelings are -Finding no fault in "utos" na walang gatol -Being too basic in getting something -Mastering the art of doing nothing -Driving -Powering through major health issues -Drinking bitter meds when you're sick -Trusting doctors 100% -Praying the rosary and going to church -Following routines

So, you have a blueprint of whom to refer to should you need help or you're just too bored in your life. Your lolo is gonna be on the sidelines as you grow up. Tahimik lang 'yan sa umpisa, pero boogsh 'yan 'pag may arya. Your lolo is a testament that life is best lived plainly. He'll show you how it is to have the priceless mindset na: Daanan mo lang lahat 'yan. Saktong happy, saktong sad lang. Ganun lang.

We're not a perfect fam. We're are very flawed. May these flaws and imperfections allow you to form your personhood. Eto lang wish ko: Piliin mong maging mabuting tao. Lagi kang healthy, happy, and hopeful. 'Yun lang talaga. At syempre, sana 'wag kang babaero tulad ng tatay, lolo, at syempre, ng noona mo. LELS.

I sincerely wish you birthdays that allow you to see how far you've gone in the same manner that you are willing and able to see how far you can still go.

And with that, my dearest McQueen, choose peace, love, and hard jive always.

You know what Doctor Who Special? Just because the Thasmin was cute does NOT MEAN you get away with massacring the character of Madame Zheng - an essay by me high on rage and frustration after that special

Madame Zheng is disappointing to the point where her character could be interchanged with literally anyone and it would have been as much as, if not more interesting. She is nothing more than a bland and nonsensical motivation (that doesn't even make any sense), historical inaccuracy and quipped one liners which don't even make sense, which is even more of a crime when you consider how much of a badass this woman was, going from working on a flower boat (a floating brothel basically) to the most powerful pirate of all time, who lived to see old age.

At the point of time of the special, 1807, Madame Zheng's husband has died, tragic. It is even worse when he ran the biggest pirate fleet in your pirate confederation, independent of government backing or any patronage. He runs the Black Flag Fleet, and she is in the unenviable position of trying to negotiate a way that doesn't leave the largest collection of pirates to fall into bloodshed and civil war. She uses her connections, diplomacy and negotiation skills to implement her adopted son (and ew, future (like in two weeks) lover) as leader of the Red Flag Fleet and she herself inherited the position of informal leader of THE ENTIRE PIRATE CONFEDERACY.

THIS WAS A MASSIVE GROUP MY DUDES.

But seriously, have the Doctor meet a Madame Zheng, reeling from her husbands death (I think it was either a tsunami or murder) and struggling with trying to regain control. Have the Doctor do what the Doctor does best, negotiate and bluff and sort out a peaceful solutions where everyone puts down their weapons (well, mostly, they are pirates) and gang up against the ACTUAL villains of the sea devils. Again, this Coalition took down half the Guangding Provinces military army, they had 80,000 soldiers at the peak of their time, there were more than 1,800 ships. Maybe they succeed, maybe they fail and the Doctor gets some technobabble mumbo jumbo, but if you're going to use one of the most amazing female characters in history USE HER

Instead we get Madame Zheng, a vaguely intimidating actress, her crew has been taken hostage by... someone (what all 70,000 of them?) and she's angsting over her children (her children who were born in 1803 and 1807). There is literally no weaker motivation. There is nothing that says 'this is Madame Zheng'

HECK HAVE THIS EPISODE WITH HER BEING PREGNANT! WOULD BE SO MANY CHANCES FOR INTERESTING POINTS TO BE MADE!

In the end we have a lacklustre character, when we could have seen the Doctor in her ELEMENT, negotiating a peace treaty amongst the raging dogs and no sort of interest to either character.
