Happy little headcanon 4
So they had a girl after season 11 right? Mulder of course wouldve been a stay at home dad, but I think he’d homeschool her. Not in a creepy fundie way. In a its too dangerous to leave you in a school building and my wife and I have severe trauma about losing children kind of way.
So he’d use his Oxford education to teach her like fluent latin and literature and ancient history on top of the regular online school curriculum. And he’d get her onto the local boys baseball team because hes the coach anyway. And theyd make matching squatching suits and go sit in the woods for hours eating snacks and being too loud to actually see a sasquatch, or hed take her on field trips to different historical places around DC or the smithsonian, where he would teach her how to be curious and inquisitive about the world above all else. And scully being a doctor with a week on week off schedule would pick up the science slack and do little experiments with them both that would inevitably devolve into lighthearted fighting when Mulder puts Erlenmeyer flasks under his shirt to make boobies or juggles the petri dishes and she’d tell him to take his aries energy out of the kitchen while trying her hardest not to laugh but hed catch her smiling as he retreated out of the kitchen to go research some other cryptoid.
think Jenna and Julen 🥺

Life and Death
(Probably be long, so slapping a KP. This is a drabble, not anything IRL! Still gonna be sad though.)
"Congratulations Neophytes. You have all succeeded in the first trials. You will become initiates. Scout Marines. But while you will not be a full Astartes yet, you have become Revenants. I hope I will live to see you all in the First or Second Companies."
Julen could have cried. In fact, he did a little. He wasn't alone, his friends were also holding back tears. They did it! They have become Revenants!
"I shall see you all when you graduate from the Tenth Company, but for now, you will be placed under the care of Captain Ta'Shar and his scout sergeants." Head Chaplain Gray finishes his speech with that, gesturing for the Captain to take it from there.
Julen knew he and his battle brothers would not disappoint.
----
Julen watches the light fade away from Lunn's eyes. He chokes back tears as he tries to shake his brother awake. A hand on his shoulder jerks him back to reality.
"He is dead." His sergeant says, yet not unkindly. "Let us honor him properly. Can you stand?"
"Y-Yes, sir."
"No you can't. Allow me to carry him." The sergeant takes Lunn's body from him. "Follow me Julen."
Julen couldn't hold back his tears at the funeral for his friend.
----
"Congratulations Initiates. Oh, my apologies, that should be 'Battle-Brothers' now." The Head Chaplain says. Did he always start his speeches with 'Congratulations'?
Julen and his fellow Battle-Brothers all salute, the clank from fifty armored hands meeting armored chests at the same time being impressively loud. "Captain Ta'Shar will have your marching orders. I apologize that my speech isn't as long here as it is for when you all became Scouts. But in my defense, you'll be standing here longer while you listen to Ta'Shar rattle off names and companies."
The Scout Captain levels the Head Chaplain with a look that can best be described as; 'I'm going to piss in your cereal.'
When his name is called, he salutes again. "Julen, 8th Company. Report to Administrator Drekketh for assignment to a squad."
Julen nods and walks to the rest of his brothers waiting to be taken to the 8th Company's vessel.
----
Julen looks up and cant help his amazed expression. Luckily he is wearing a helmet.
His father, Darius, is in front of him and his bruised and battered squad. He takes multiple rounds directly to his chest and pauldrons and simply shrugs them off, barely even jerking with the impact.
"COME ON THEN! WHO TAUGHT YOU TO SHOOT?! DID YOUR STANDARDS REALLY BECOME SO LAX AFTER YOU GOT YOUR ASSES KICKED AT SEBASTUS?!" Father yells at the Iron Warriors they face.
Julen grabs his bolter and begins to fire at the traitors, he is mindful to stay in cover. His armor is already damaged, it would be foolhardy to expose too much of himself.
As the last Iron Warrior falls, Father jumps down into the trench. His squad all try to stand and salute. "No need to get up. Get your rest, we'll have some apothecaries here soon. Where is the Sergeant of your squad?"
Julen stands at attention as he speaks: "Our Sergeant has fallen, Fa-...Sir."
A deep chuckle comes from the large astartes. "It's fine if you call me 'Father', truly." He looks around before his eyes fall upon Julen. "What is your name?" He asks, tone warm but the cold, unmoving metal of his helmet still slightly off-putting. Julen doesn't know why, it is identical to his own helmet, except for the size.
"Battle-Brother Julen, Father." He says, his posture stiffening.
"At ease, Julen. I am placing you in temporary command of your squad. When you all return to allied lines you will be taken to the 8th Company and rest. You have all done well." Julen beams with pride under his helmet, and he knows his squad does aswell.
"And Julen, I will speaking to Captain Mateo about you. Your initiative is commendable."
Julen could almost cry.
----
It's...cold. Julen thinks Why am I cold?
He looks down.
Oh. That's why. A large hole is where his heart should be. He can see that he's missing a lung as well.
He hears movement and looks up. It is Father.
"...Julen?"
He remembered his name! But he sounds sad?
"Yes Father?" He asks, his voice soft.
"Where is your squad?"
"They fell. I had to retreat a little, to get to an advanta-" Julen cannot continue, he starts to cough. Why does he taste blood?
"Save your voice, my son." Father says, getting on a knee next to him. "Would you like to remove your helmet?"
Now that he thinks about it, he would. A slow nod.
Julen blinks as Father removes his helmet. "Father...could you remove your helmet? I've never seen what you look like. I'd like to."
Father removes his helmet, worry and sadness is clear on his face.
We have the same hair. Julen thinks. "Father...why do you look sad?"
"You are dying Julen."
"Oh..." Julen looks down. "...will you stay with me? As I go?"
"Yes my son, I will stay with you."
Julen smiles at that.
"That's nice of you." He murmurs, eyes sliding closed.
Battle Brother Julen of the Fourth Company never opens his eyes again.

look who’s back with a big smile :)))
LOOK AT THIS GUY
Me screaming about Unai in everyone's DMs finally paid off!
I'm so glad he's back and smiling! I hope the next few training sessions go well for him. Obviously, no rush for him to come back, would rather he be 100% ready than not, but I missed him so much.
Also, just shout out to Julen Agirrezabala and Álex Padilla for holding down the fort in Unai's absence. Agrirrezabala recently got a red card and the camera panned over to Unai, who looked stressed as fuck. But I think Padilla also did relatively well for the unexpected circumstance. And I am sure both are happy to have their #1 keeper back too. 🤍❤️
#ask#anon#Unai Simon#Athletic Club Bilbao#athletic club#Did you see him walking out with the others to celebrate the Euro win?#I literally dropped everything#He looks so ready to be back!#He looks so cheesy in this picture I love it

Queer Star Wars Characters (Round 1): General Bracket Match 24
Lee Skillen | Identity: wlw | Media: A Crash of Fate
Lee Skillen was a Karkadoon who worked for Ohnaka Transport Solutions. She supervised the Batuu office when her boss was off planet. She established a working relationship with one of A Crash of Fate’s protagonists, Julen Rakab due to his work as a courier for Dok Ondar. In her brief appearance in the book, she refuses to give Jules the access code for the office to retrieve a package of Ondar’s he mistakenly delivered to them. While they talked, due to her stress, he was able to pickpocket the access card and retrieve the package.
Lee Skillen was overworked and quite stressed due to Hondo’s irresponsibility and all the problems he left for her to deal with. When she was stressed, she’d have her suit mist her with salt water. She also has a tendency to rant about her personal problems, including that her girlfriend didn’t like the hours she worked and her mother didn’t like her dating a Twi’lek.
Teemank | Identity: wlw | Media: The High Republic Trial of Shadows
Teemank was the wife of fellow Chandra Fan Beesar Tal-Apurna. After the Great Hyperspace Disaster, she joined the Republic Defense Coalition, despite being old and her planet not being closely aligned with the Republic. Her wife begged her not to, but she did so anyway. In her first deployment, the Battle of Kur, she was killed. This motivated her wife to spy on the Nihil Chandra Fan Doctor Uttersond.

Targeting car tags applauded
Re: “Proposal targets expired car tags — If approved, ordinance would mean fines for vehicles in public spaces,” Tuesday Metro & Business story.
Finally Dallas might do something smart and get some revenue to fix its streets.
While the story explains the proposed ordinance to get cars being sold or wrecked off public spaces, the benefit will be getting more drivers to pay for using roads.
In my Plano neighborhood I have seen countless cars/trucks with expired tags by months and years.
When the owner doesn’t pay the registration fee (taxes), he or she is getting a freebee.
Not fair to all who do pay their taxes.
After the November elections I will write again to many elected state/county/city officials to address this situation and get more vehicle owners to pay up.
Doug Caldwell, Plano
Parking unregistered cars on Dallas streets could lead to fines under proposal
Dallas may follow other major U.S. cities that already regulate vehicles with expired registration.
Owners of vehicles with expired registrations soon may need to be more wary of parking on Dallas streets.
Those who do so without proper registration or valid license plates would risk fines up to $500 under a recent proposal by Dallas’ transportation officials.
Such an ordinance is not uncommon and would make Dallas’ policy more consistent with those of other large U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Phoenix and Chicago.
“Texas tends to have extremely permissive parking policies and laws,” said Julene Paul, a public affairs and planning assistant professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. “It might be controversial. But here, in terms of the national landscape, this is sort of very, very standard.”
The city memo outlining the proposal cited an investigation conducted by Dallas’ transportation department that found many legally parked vehicles in public spaces were there solely for repair or resale purposes.
The department did not immediately provide the specific findings of this investigation to The Dallas Morning News.
In a statement to The News, Dallas transportation director Gus Khankarli said the ordinance would address public safety and perception concerns.
“Some of the vehicles are damaged and have jagged metal edges as a result, causing a safety hazard,” Khankarli said. “In addition, the overall condition of these vehicles gives the impression that the area is unsafe.”
These vehicles can cause environmental harm, he added, by releasing “vehicle fluids” into storm drains, which then flow into the Trinity River, streams and other bodies of water.
An ordinance fining improperly registered vehicles is not new for North Texas.
Garland passed a similar restriction in 2021.
That city’s population is just over 240,000, less than one-fifth of Dallas’.
The Garland ordinance was aimed at addressing limited parking space available in the city’s oldest neighborhoods, said former council member and now-mayoral candidate Deborah Morris.
The Dallas ordinance could address the same concern, she added.
In Garland, the most significant violators tended to be those illegally operating businesses to repair or sell cars out of their homes along with those who collected vehicles, Morris said.
That city issued 3,273 tickets to violators in 2022, the first full-year it was in effect, according to data provided by Garland officials.
That declined by more than 1,000 in 2023 but is trending up so far this year.
Fines under the Garland ordinance rise incrementally.
The first offense in a one-year period costs $25; a second offense is $50; and fines for all following offenses are $75, according to the city website.
The goal wasn’t to punish but to “change behavior,” Morris said.
Dallas could face one challenge early on: a high demand for enforcement, Morris cautioned.
“If this passes, everyone who is troubled by having this on their street is going to be saying, ‘Come here. Come here now. Come here today, and get these cars out of here,’” she said.
While private vehicle sellers in Dallas could be impacted by such an ordinance, car dealers likely would not, said Matthew Hardin, who oversees the Dallas Used Cars Facebook group.
The group, which has just under 9,600 members, allows users to buy or sell vehicles or related products.
The proposed ordinance is “not too stringent at all,” Hardin said.
Car dealers that keep vehicles on their own property without expired licenses or registration wouldn’t be impacted, he added.
“I’d be hard-pressed to find a local ordinance that allows vehicles with expired tags and registrations being parked anywhere in a public space,” Hardin said.
If enacted, the ordinance will be enforced by the Dallas police, the Dallas Marshal’s Office and parking enforcement.
Khankarli said the City Council’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is working to incorporate feedback into the ordinance.
The Dallas City Council isn’t expected to consider the ordinance until after the July recess.

- ¡No...dañarás...a mis amigos!
