Cove Holden Headcanons that I Made Up

hed get into flower crowns, like REALLY into flower crowns one day after seeing mc making them one time, so he learns how to make them and will want to make matching flower crowns for mc and himself whenever the opportunity comes up

if the mc owns sundresses cove would ask if he can wear them sometimes. it takes some getting used to but he ultimately really enjoys the fit of sundresses and how soft and flowy the fabric is. hed jump and twirl around a lot just to watch the fabric move with him

hed try high heels to go along with the sundress(es) exactly one time before deciding that theyre too awkward and uncomfortable and make hin feel too much like a baby giraffe. after that hed just wear like a cute sandal or something

he wouldnt have a large social media presence probably, just messenger and instagram and thats it for the most part

hed would however have a lifestyle type blog where he posts about swimming and surfing and all his other hobbies and things like that and i think thatd end up accidentally doing really well. if he dates mc hed probably post a couple (hundred) entries on his blog all about how much he loves them

hed be reallly good at taking pictures. like INSANELY good. itd prolly be the main reason why his blog would do so well. people would suggest he becomes a photographer but thats not rlly something he wants to do as a job

that being said he is HOPELESS at taking selfies. EVERY single one of his selfies is at your average dad selfie angle and he looks like this every time

hed make a frienship bracelet for all of his closest friends (including mc of course) featuring his and their favorite colors

hed have a matching phone lock and home screen with mc. yanno like one of those where its 1 picture when you line the phones up next to each other

hed use some emojis but never in the expected or popular way someone would use emojis, hed just kind of assign his own meanings to the emojis he uses the most based on vibes. anyone who isnt close to cove would need to ask mc or his family or his closest friends for the unofficial cove emoji thesaurus

Oh, I have a lot of gossip to tell you!!!

Idk where I left the last update, so I hope this is right

Sooo, Thomas has been talking a lot with Emily recently, right? And he definitely likes her again. IKR??? What in the romcom hell is happening here?? They aren't "officially" dating again, but everyone with eyes can see something is definitely going on already

Yeah, sad. ANYWAYS! We are still good friends, like we continue to talk everyday and talk about our day, etc. It's not the same as it was, bit it's still good :)

Buuut, now the thing is everyone thinks something is going on between Andrew and me omfg😂

And we are totally platonic, but we do get along pretty well, and I kinda understand that people think that bc we are always together (bc, you know, that's what you do when you are friends with someone!! Of the same class!!! And we happen to sit together!!)

And also, we act kinda flirty without acting flirty. The other day we were looking for pictures of ourselves for a project and the conversation went something like:

Andrew: Oh, the other day I took a photo and I think it's my favorite one so far. I look kinda hot. Wanna see it?

Me: sure, show me!

Him: It's good, so prepare yourself

Me: I'll try not to faint! *He shows me the picture* Yeah, you do look hot

Him: right? Thanks!!

Me: look, I found this one of myself. I think it's also my favorite, I definitely look amazing in that dress!

Him: You can use that! You do look good!!

Everyone: ....

And we also talk so much about the girls we consider pretty (respectfully of course) and we give each other advice, or just tease each other about the people we liked or the people that liked us

We are both kinda aware that some people think we are going out but we don't really care

Aaand, just the other day Thomas and Emily were playing volleyball and one friend suggested that we joined them, but Andrew and I were like "let them have some moment just them"

So, my other friend said: "I mean it would be awkward if you two went there bc, you know, Emily used to like Andrew and Thomas used to like you, and now they are going out again after a not-so-nice breakup but now they think there is something going on between you two"

And we just stay there letting our situation sink in 😂

Also, not so fun fact: Apparently Emily and Thomas have been like, agreeing on what to wear somedays. Like, they both go of one color, or same flannels, etc (god, couples are so cheesy jdhskdhdj)

But the thing is, I accidentally keep bringing the things they wear😂😂😂 similar flannel, same color... Fuck, I accidentally wore almost the exact same overall as Emily once. I high fived her about it but that's not the point!!

This is getting annoying tbh, but also it's so freaking hilarious lmaooo

Highlights from my shift today include:

-My manager asking an older woman to "wait a moment, very busy here" in the drive thru and the woman STRAIGHT UP IGNORING AND TALKING OVER HER only for me, my manager, and another coworker who was pissed and stressed to hop on the mic at the same time to shout, "ONE MINTUE AND WE'LL BE RIGHT WITH YOU." im a fan of leaving customers high and dry at the speaker because I don't have the time to talk, but manager thinks it polite to tell a customer that we cannot take their order immediately, even if it means spilling her lattes. Nevertheless, she was concerned with getting people out on time and coworker and I were focused on not passing out from the workload. We were both more than happy to jump down someone's throat and im not proud of it, but I'm glad everyone was working simultaneously today.

-i finally learned who owns the blue threewheeled motorbike that I love so much! ... and its the "All Lives Matter/COVID is a haox!" couple who personally made it a point to tell me so while I was wearing a Black Lives Matter mask.

And

-my supervisor, who im friends with, is telling me im gonna become a supervisor soon. She mentions it when I clean or take orders and she tells me im in training whenever our manager SPECIFICALLY calls on me to do tasks. Im not good with dealing with responsibility, in that I have heavy anxiety towards being relied on, so if someone was gonna make me a supervisor I'd prefer/believe someone tell me about it instead of picking me to do things other people could be doing. On top of which, if she's right, im gonna feel bad for this guy I like who's been working MUCH longer than me. Like, I even call him Bossman because he's always trying to guide me by the book. Itd be really unfair if the guy that practically trained me got missed for the opportunity (+ everyone knows I like him, and I don't wanna get called on favoritism just because he's the only guy that can do the job right lmaooo).

It was one of those slow days, so I was able to retain some details today~~ I even got to pull out my sketch book lol

Summary: A YouTube inspired drabble series where you and your boyfriend upload videos catering to the couple tag.

"Hi everyone!" you whispered excitedly at the camera. "And welcome back to my channel! I have to whisper because Jaehyun is downstairs and I don’t want him to hear my intro," you explained before turning the camera around and pointing it down your staircase towards your living room. Your boyfriend was facing away from you on the couch and you zoomed in on the back of his luscious head of hair before you tiptoed back into your bedroom. "Anyway," you continued to whisper, "today is a special day! Why is it special you may ask? Well it’s because I'm going to be doing yet another--," you paused for dramatic effect and took a moment to bring your face close to the lens so your lips took up most of the frame, "--PRANK.” You pulled away from the camera and shook your head in offense at how much that last word hurt while whispering. “Hold on. Let me move again.”

You moved to sit on the floor inside your closet. But it wasn't that big, so you ended up trapped in a corner with some of the clothes you had hanging up dangling in your face. “So many of you have requested that I do the 'I can’t stop kissing you prank' and I figured now would be the perfect opportunity since Jaehyun has come to visit me for the weekend.” A sound bite of applause and cheers played as clapping hands emojis appeared on the screen with a burst of confetti. “I’ve already set up the camera downstairs and it’s currently recording Jaehyun playing Mario Kart. His favorite game these days. Well, his only favorite game because that’s all he ever plays.” You rolled your eyes dramatically with the matching emoji appearing next to your head. “And we have a special treat! You remember our close friend Yuta from my vlogs, right?” Just then the thirst-trappiest picture of Yuta you could find on his Instagram popped up in the corner of the screen. “Well, he’ll be calling during the middle of the prank to ask Jaehyun something complicated whilst I slobber him down.” You rapidly flicked your tongue between your lips as if you were a lizard and accentuated the sound it made. “It’s going to be great!” In your excitement you raised up your arm and accidentally hit the stack of shoe boxes next to you, causing one of them to come tumbling down with a loud thump on your head and then one on the floor. “Shit, ow!” you cursed under your breath.

“Babe?” Your boyfriend called to you from downstairs. The audio of his voice was low, therefore subtitles were placed onto the screen whenever he spoke. “Is that you?”

“Yeah!” you answered him while making a nervous face at the camera. “I’m just changing clothes!”

“Oh, okay--MOVE PEACH!”

You rolled your eyes again and exaggerated the deep breath you took before addressing the audience one last time. “Let’s start this prank before he comes up here to check on me.”

With an old school static transition, the video cut to a front view of Jaehyun sitting on the couch with you descending the staircase in the distance behind him before coming into full view of the camera. You sat down on the couch next to Jaehyun and wrapped your arms around his neck, startling both him and your puppy who was laying between you, and who seemed to forget your existence whenever Jaehyun visited.

“Oh, hey babe. How was your nap?” he said, pausing the game to fully greet you.

“It was alright. I woke up because you weren’t lying next to me anymore.” Ew! How were you able to say that with a straight face?! It had always amazed you how sappy you got when the two of you were together. You forced a pout onto your lips before hugging his upper body and moving your face to the crook of his neck to plant a soft kiss onto his exposed collarbone. He smelled like peppermint mixed with his unique man musk.

“I almost woke you up,” he said as he let you kiss your way up from the base of his neck to just below his ear.

“Oh, really. Why?” you said against his skin before nipping at the bottom of his earlobe.

“Because I missed having you next to me, too.”

You jerked your head back to look at him in mock disgust. “Jaehyun, you’re so freaking cheesy,” you said then went back to his neck and placed a loud wet kiss against his Adam's apple. “I appreciate the sentiment, but it just sounds so icky coming from you.” It was one thing when you did it, but when he did it it made your insides all gooey and gross. You hated that you loved it.

“But it's true.” He grabbed your chin with his thumb and forefinger and tilted your head backwards, allowing himself easy access to your lips. He gently pecked your lips and you revelled in the soft plumpness of his moisturized skin cells. He moved his hand to grab the side of your face to steady you as he deepened the kiss and his tongue swept across your lips, asking for permission to enter. But as soon as your tongues connected, your dog whined and climbed onto Jaehyun's lap, feeling left out from the attention, and thus breaking yours.

Now that you had planted the initial kissing seed, it was time to move into phase two of your prank. “Do you want a snack, babe?” you asked him and stood up from the couch.

“Sure. Surprise me.”

Having previously set up the camera, the video cut to you walking into the kitchen, then to you opening the freezer, and then to you popping a plate of pizza rolls into the microwave. While they were heating, you walked over to the camera and pulled out your phone to send a quick text to Yuta telling him to commence the next part of your plan. When finished, you held up your phone to the camera and showed the exchange between you and your friend.

You: It’s your time to shine. 15 minutes.

Sir Yuta: I forgot I had to do this. Umm lemme search the internet and find something to call him about lmaooo

You: 🤦‍♀️

The video cut again to you placing the plate of pizza rolls and two bottled waters on the coffee table in front of Jaehyun right when he let out a shout of victory as his Metal Mario crossed the finish line in first place.

“What cup was that?” you asked him, pretending to be interested.

“Flower cup, 200cc,” he said as he reached for a pizza roll without looking and ended up burning his finger on the hot snack. “Ow! It’s hot!”

“You knew that before you picked it up!”

Affronted by the pizza rolls, he grabbed one of the bottles of water and took a sip before returning his eyes to the screen. “Do you want to play?”

“Nope. I’ll just watch you play.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yep!”

You watched him customize his kart with some of the new items he had just unlocked before he selected a different cup to play. When the opening sequence of the first race began to play, you repositioned yourself on your knees on the couch cushion next to him and planted a kiss directly on his lips. You felt Jaehyun hum against your lips in satisfaction as he returned the kiss, but when he heard the countdown for the start of the race he quickly pulled back and moved his head to look around you at the TV.

But of course, that didn’t stop you. You forcefully grabbed him by his head and began kissing the spot just below his jaw that you knew drove him crazy. It was a relentless onslaught of teeth, tongue, and lips all at a slow, teasing, and torturous pace.

Believing that Jaehyun was already feeling totally affected, it was confirmed by the absence of noisy cartoon chaos from the race right before Jaehyun ripped you from his neck to counter your attack by shoving his tongue down your throat. The kiss was so heated the two of you had to be censored on the screen by a big blushing emoji. The video quickly cut to the end of the kiss, which lasted way longer than you had anticipated, to where Jaehyun was gently pushing you away from him. “Lemme finish this race and then we can make out or whatever afterwards.”

“Okay,” you agreed happily then popped a (now cold) pizza roll into your mouth.

You allowed him to play through a full race before you resumed your kisses, this time foregoing his neck to smooch him on his cheeks, nose, and anywhere else there was skin available on his face. You obviously prevented Jaehyun from seeing the TV screen and he quickly paused his game before he lost his first-place spot at the beginning of the second race.

“Did you dream about me?” he asked you dumbfounded but still bearing a smile on his face. “Did I promise you all these kisses in the dream?”

You planted a kiss on each of his eyelids before shaking your head and looking him in his eyes. “I just love you.”

“I love you, too. But--”

You didn’t let him finish talking as you threw your leg over his lap to straddle his waist. You proceeded to kiss him hungrily on his lips, your tongues doing a dance once again as he kissed you back with gusto. You were overcome with a sense of satisfaction when you felt the thud of the pro controller hit the couch next to you (in which the video zoomed in on it as it was falling) and then both his arms wrapped around your waist.

You revelled in his kisses, thankful that you had a boyfriend with soft, pillowy lips whose kisses you could get lost in for days if allowed. You were so into the makeout session that you forgot you were filming a video and the scene had to be censored once again with another big emoji and quickly cut to the next clip. Luckily, before the two of you got too crazy, Jaehyun’s phone began to ring with Yuta’s name lighting up the top of its screen.

“Noo, baby. Don’t answer it. Kiss me instead,” you genuinely whined for him to keep going. Yuta was a part of your plan but now you just wanted his attention to remain on you.

Jaehyun removed your hand from his face and picked up his phone off the arm of the couch. “Hold on. It’s Yuta. Let me get rid of him, first.” You pouted at him as he swiped his thumb across the screen to answer the call. “Hey Yuta. I’m kind of in the middle—" You don’t know what was said exactly but you were able to hear Yuta’s tiny hysterics through the small phone speaker. “Wait slow down? When did you get a hamster?” asked Jaehyun in confused concern.

Was that really the best Yuta could come up with???

“Y/N is here, too. Let me put you on speaker.” He did so and held the phone next to your heads. “Okay, start from the beginning.”

Since Yuta’s story was bound to be dumb, you decided to up the hotness on your kissing. You grabbed Jaehyun's face with one hand and planted a kiss on his lips slightly less aggressively than the ones prior, but still pretty roughly.

Yuta’s words appeared as subtitles at the bottom of the screen since the camera’s mic couldn’t pick up his voice that well from the phone’s speaker. “I purchased a hamster the other day from the pet store down the street from my house. His name is Hamster--“

“Ow!” Jaehyun pulled you from his lips and gave you a displeased look. You had accidentally bitten his lips a bit too hard as a reaction to Yuta’s dumbass statement. You mouthed an apology to him before returning to nibble on his ear.

“Is everything okay?” asked Yuta.

“Yeah, keep going.”

“Gladly.” You replied before sticking your tongue in his ear, causing him to flinch violently away from you in protest.

“Ew! Not you!” Jaehyun whispered harshly as he tried to wipe the inside of his ear with his shirt.

“Well, I was cleaning out his cage, but I think I forgot to secure him in his temporary cage and now he’s disappeared! I’m afraid to walk anywhere, so I need you to come over and help me find Hamster.”

“Umm, can’t you call Johnny or Taeyong or--” You started playing kiss tic tac toe with Jaehyun’s forehead.

“They didn’t answer their phones. Trust me you weren’t my first choice,” Yuta said flatly as if he was actually disappointed that he had to call Jaehyun for help.

You couldn’t help but laugh, and now you were trying to locate another PG-rated place to kiss Jaehyun.

“Yeah, I’ll come over.”

“Cool. Y/N can come too after she stops trying to suck your face. Y’all are gross.”

Jaehyun’s brows knit together in confusion. “How did you--” he began to ask, but you snatched his phone from his hand before he could finish his question.

“BYE, YUTA.” You hung up the call and tossed your boyfriend’s phone on the other side of the couch. “Now, where were we?” You leaned in to continue kissing him, but he dodged your lips by turning his face away from you. Your kiss landed on the side of his jaw instead.

“Hey, cool it, babe. Lemme finish this race and we can go to Yuta’s to help him find his hamster.” Obviously, Yuta’s lost (made up) pet wasn’t more important than finishing first place in the special cup on 200cc. He was just so competitive.

You grabbed his arms to thwart his attempts at resuming the game but he was quicker as he threw the controller down his shirt before grabbing your legs and gently tossing you on the other side of the couch.

“Jaehyun!”

“Y/N!”

You turned your head and the video zoomed in on your eyes as you narrowed them at the camera before launching yet another kissing attack on Jaehyun. In doing so you knocked over two of the pizza rolls and the bottled waters while Metal Mario got hit with three red koopa shells in row.

“Babe, alright! Enough!”

Jaehyun never was one to get this perturbed, so seeing his distress was something new for you. He grabbed you by your thighs before standing up and hoisting you over his shoulders. “Let me give you what you want.”

“Wait no! Jae, stop! STOP! It’s a prank!” you yelled as you flailed helplessly in his grip.

“You can’t back out now--“

“No! Look behind the switch!”

“What?” He turned around completely to walk towards the camera, your butt now on full view as your front side faced the couch. He found the camera hidden behind the game console and picked it up while he lowered you back to your feet. He stared blankly into the lens as he tried to comprehend what had just happened between the two of you.

You swiped the camera from his hands and smiled triumphantly into the lens. “Hey, again everyone! I hope you enjoyed seeing Jaehyun lose his cool and literally THROW ME.”

Your boyfriend stood behind you, still void of emotion and staring into the camera. “You kissed me for a prank? And not because you wanted to?” Aw, no! Why did he sound so dejected?!

“Wait, no! I wanted to but...yeah?”

“I’m hurt.” He said while clutching his chest. Nooooooooo! A bunch of crying faced and heartbroken emojis appear sporadically on the screen.

“Why are you hurt? I was being annoying!”

“Yeah, but I was still into it.”

“We can continue what I started if you want to, babe.” Holding the camera with one hand, you reached out to him with the other to give him a one-armed hug, in which he returned unconsciously.

“No. I’m over it. Let’s go help Yuta.” You smiled at him mischievously and then looked back at the camera. “What?”

“That was part of the prank, too. Yuta was in on it. He doesn’t have a hamster.”

Jaehyun looked at the camera, then at you, and then back at the camera before walking away from you and sitting back on the couch. “I’ve been tricked,” he said absolutely flabbergasted.

You followed him to the couch with the camera and sat beside him, then linked your free arm with his. “Well, that’s it for today! Thanks for watching! I’m going to reheat our pizza rolls now and then I’ll kick his ass in Mario Kart.”

“You wish.”

“Give me a kiss, babe.” You puckered your lips for him, but Jaehyun had other plans of the revenge variety. He cornered you on the couch and put his big body on top of you as he placed sloppy wet kisses along your neck, causing you to shriek and drop the camera to the floor. The only thing visible on the screen was a slanted view of your puppy ripping apart one of his plush toys underneath the couch.

You giggled and squealed as your boyfriend prevented you from closing out your video in one of the most pleasant ways. You knew he didn’t plan on letting up on you anytime soon, so you had to manage. “Don’t forget to like and subscribe, and follow us on social media,” you began yelling from the top of the couch. “I put out a new video every week--Ah! Jae, wait!”

The scene cut out with another static transition and the video ended with the ‘no signal’ color bars accompanied by the notorious elongated beep.

Ep 12 Spoilers!!!

IM WRITING THIS WITH TEARS IN MY EYES oh my god I can't believe this drama is making me feel so many things. On to my favourite moments from this episode, in no particular order just what I remember from the top of my head:

1) The recount of what the soldier gang each did in their attempts to locate Seri is HILARIOUS. I really lost it at Gwangbeom getting agency scouting cards from SN/YJ/JYB HAHAHAHA EVEN THE CARD DESIGNS ARE SIMILAR ISTG THIS DRAMA

2) Junghyuk and Eundong playing that online game tgt without even realising is the cutest thing pls TOMATO CULTIVATOR?!AJZKAK Junghyuk really thought of that as his username aka the plant the love of his life gave him I'm yelling!!!

3) Seo Dan's mother's "good morning" and "oh my gosh" cracked me up, I really really love her random English outbursts.

4) Dan saying if Seungjun is lying about him being sick/cold he would get it but then proceeds to bringing food for him and that whole porridge scene between them ugh their dynamics really SNAPPED, I LOVE THIS PAIRING SO MUCH it's such a breath of fresh air that kdramas don't create unnecessary love square/triangle and just focus on developing both couples. I love it!

5) The drinking scene between our favourite riri couple...I had so much feels pls the fact that he told her STRAIGHT UP that he doesn't want to leave the south and that he wants to MARRY her, have CHILDREN THAT LOOKS LIKE HER AND THEN SAYING HE WANTS TWINS IM--- HOWDKKSKS I'VE BEEN GIVING MY ENTIRE LIFE AND NOW I'M FINALLY RECEIVING ;___;

6) I started tearing up when the ahjumma gang each brought something for Young Ae who is sort of in a house arrest now. And her asking them to leave before breaking down seeing all of them coming to help her?? Like, man, I didn't expect this scene to move me so much but it did and now I just want all of them to be happy please they deserve it :(((

7) THE REUNION SCENE OF OUR FAV BOYS AND SERI PLSSSSS when she asked Chi Su to just hug her and he did it while grumbling I think my heart just COMBUSTED with happiness. Finally. FINALLY!!! 8) The insurance guy getting what he deserves TT I actually was so touched when Seri was looking at the CCTV recordings and then reading the notes he left for her secretary to read like ahhh I know he did it for his work but when Seri said that he was just a stranger but looked tirelessly for her and was maybe two of the only ppl that wanted her to be alive...ugh my heart, my heart!!!

9) Seri's mom is despicable but... I don't exactly hate her? Like ugh she was so damn heartless to leave a child on the beach the entire cold, night...but honestly I'm just glad she's at least trying to redeem herself now even if Seri didn't believe her. 13) how sweet is it that Junghyuk told Seri that every birthday of hers will be a good day bc it is a reminder that the woman he loves was born on that day, and is alive and well? Holy shit I cannot fathom how good this line is because it is a parallel to all that Seri said about apologising for being born and being alive bc she thought no one loved her?? But then you have Junghyuk who assured her that in this world HE will ALWAYS be grateful that she is part of the world AND is alive. How important is this scene for Seri who has always had suicidal thoughts? I cannot stress how much this scene moved me like I know I'm dramatic af rn but those are words she needed to hear and he gave them to her and I just--

hii~ so i got tagged by @snugglemejeon thank you so much ! i think this is really cute hehe (to the people i tagged: i’m sorry if i tagged you and we haven’t talked that much... i don’t know that many people on tumblr... and also, you don’t have to do this challenge, so feel free to ignore it !)

(1) how tall are you?

i haven’t checked in a bit but i’m about 5′2″ (ish) so that’s around 158cm (*sighs* yeah i know... i’m pretty short)

(2) what color and style is your hair?

i actually got a haircut yesterday before my blackpink concert hehe so now my hair is layered and it goes a little past my shoulders. i didn’t start growing out my hair until late last year since i used to always cut it short (like, a little above my shoulders) so yeah... i used to dye my hair a longgg longggg time ago but now it’s its original color which is dark brown

(3) what color are your eyes?

a solid brown (not totally light, but not too dark) (my mom has really pretty light brown eyes but they didn’t get passed down to me so ahhaha *cries*)

(4) do you wear glasses?

yes, but no (?) i have glasses but i don’t wear them 24/7 since my eyesight isn’t that bad... i only wear them in class when i’m too far away from the board. i have kinda circular, brown glasses (lmao, i know no one asked but...)

i used to wear braces a couple of years ago so now i just wear my retainers once a week (you’re supposed to wear them every night but whatever,,, i’m pretty lazy and irresponsible and my teeth haven’t shifted sooo once a week will do ahah)

i was born and currently live in los angeles, california however, i am 100% korean. both of my parents were born and raised in south korea. and yes, i am fluent in korean.

i am a highschooler. and that’s all i’m gonna say. skool sucks :P

(11) what kind of student are you?

i would like to say that i’m more of a hard worker than a naturally smart person, but i am currently getting straight As and for those of you who live in the us, i’m taking 5 APs (which totally sucks :’( but i’m handling them kinda well... i think). and i don’t really like being complimented because one of my biggest fears is of me becoming arrogant so let’s move on,,, pls.

history!!! i know this is really weird since not a lot of people like history, but i love ittt!!! i think it’s really fun since it’s kinda like one big story of our world (i’m sorry, i’m such a dork)... i took ap art history last year and i fell in love with it!

i used to watch kdramas a longgg time ago, but i kinda stopped but idk why... but my favorite tv shows are friends, the office, stranger things, jane the virgin, etc, etc... i can literally name so many tv shows that i’ve watched but then i’d go rambling on and on and on and i don’t want to bore anyone...

(15) favorite movie?

forrest gump !!! (and also, did anyone see the two bts movies? i watched both of them at cgv and i literally exploded when i saw the members... okay, moving on (sorry... i get off topic really easily))

(16) favorite books?

i read a book called “pachinko” by min jin lee over the summer and it was so! freaking! good!!! i highly recommend it everyone~ it’s a historical fiction novel about 3-4 generations of this korean family who lived in korea and then moved to japan. it takes place a little before the korean war and it talks about the discrimination that koreans faced in japan at the time. i recently went to the library to check it out since i wanted to read it again but they didn’t have an english copy of the book so i’m reading it in korean at the moment.

(17) favorite pastime?

rewatching and rewatching and rewatching bangtan. oh, and streaming their new album ;) oh, and stressing over the new test questions on the fan cafe that the staff upload every week (i need to level up but the test is so hard... i cry every time)

and writing for this blog! i originally made this blog to de-stress and write some scenarios and reactions and i didn’t know that people would actually like them and respond to them,,, so hey, thank you :) you make me happy every day

(18) do you have any regrets?

yes. too many to count. but i’m not gonna sit here and list them all lol

(19) dream job?

i don’t really know... but something in corporate law (?)

(20) would you ever like to be married?

yessss! have you seen my entire blog??? it’s an entire fluff kingdom!!! i mean, i know that marriage is not just one big fluff and i know that it’s tough, but i would still like to get married one day

i have my own little fantasies about how married life would be, but that’s a little secret so i’ll save it for next time ;)

(21) would you like to have kids?

as much as i love kids, i’m not too sure if i would want any... i mean, obviously my answer will change in the future, but i kinda want either no kids or just one kid... the responsibility of being a parent kinda freaks me out...

(23) do you like shopping?

no, i absolutely LOVE shopping. i think i’m addicted lmao.

ahhh finally... the question i’ve been waiting for... so if you get to know me, i really really really reallyyyyy love traveling and i’m so grateful for all the opportunities i’ve been given to travel at such a young age.

so, let me just list all the places i’ve been to (an i know not all of these are countries, or out of the us, but just hear me out,,, okay?) : france, italy, south korea, mexico, us (hawaii, nevada, utah, etc (lol, i can’t remember all of them))

my favorite location out of all of these places is definitely italy <3 (italy has my heart)... i stayed at rome and i also visited pompeii and positano (which were absolutely stunning and beautiful). i went to rome last spring (around april/may) and i personally, really love sightseeing and history and since rome is full of those two things i reallyyy enjoyed it there. oh, and don’t even get me started with the food <3333

i also really loved france... i stayed at paris and my favorite thing about paris was definitely the louvre museum (once again, i love art history) as well as this place called montmarte (ahh! it’s so pretty)

and last but not least, (as much as i love love loveee south korea) i really enjoyed mexico! i love calming, relaxing vacation spots so i got to go to cancun (twice!) and snorkel and swim and see little fishies in the clear turquoise ocean... yeah, i miss it there... :(

i would totally tell you guys, but it was too complicated so i’m not even gonna bother.

Get to Know Me

So…if anyone ever decides my blog is worth following…here’s a little get to know me to give some people an idea of who I am.

1. Name: Ivis is my middle name and my preferred name online. Whether I’ll disclose my real name later on or not is yet to be decided, but for now, it’s just Ivis.

2. Why my username? Well, Ivis was already taken, so I had to come up with something that included it while also describing me. And thus my username was born.

3. D.O.B., Age, Zodiac: Born Feb. 21, I’m 17, and a Pisces.

4. Favorite colour(s): I don’t have one specific color. I like black, white, grey, and green.

5. Background: My family is Cuban and I have some Afro-Caribbean on my mom’s side.

6. What do I look like? Essentially, I look just like my profile photo except that my eyes are green, my hair is not as bright, and I don’t have bangs. Much like my name, whether or not I upload a picture later is yet to be decided. I’m kind of average when it comes to height - around 5ft 6in. I’m a little overweight, but I’m working towards getting to a healthier weight.

7. Cats or dogs? Both. Although I’m allergic to both. I have two small dogs and I really want a cat, but my mom thinks they’re the devil. 😥

8. Tea or Coffee? Again, both. I usually drink tea when I want to just relax and unwind. I don’t drink much coffee, but when I do it’s just to give me a little boost.

9. Favorite Author: Edgar Allan Poe. The man was a genius.

10. Favorite Book: At the moment, I’m loving Animal Liberation: A Definitive Classic of the Animal Movement. Really opens your eyes to the issues surrounding animal exploitation for human ends. I strongly recommend it.

11. Favorite TV Show: Hands down, Young Justice. I don’t know why, but that show has a special place in my heart and I cannot wait for season three to finally come out after four years of waiting.

12. Favorite YouTubers: Myah Alanna, Dan, maybe Phil (I’m just now entering the Phandom (?) so please be gentle with me), JREKML, and Kalyn Nicholson

13. Any Sports? Lmaooo no

14. Clubs: I’m the vice-president of my school’s Japanese Culture Club (aka JCC), and I’m proud of it. We’re different from an anime club; our focus is Japanese Culture as a whole, hence the club name. I’m also the historian for the Piano Club (aka Club 88 - you’ll get it if you know about piano). I was also in my school’s choir (aka Glee club). I couldn’t be apart of it this year because of academic reasons, but I signed up for the next school year.

15. Favorite subjects? Least Favorite? I love English and history. HATE MATH. Enough said.

16. Single or Taken: Single with an inability to mingle. The only thing I have to break the ice are horrible sex jokes.

17. Siblings? I have an older half brother on my father’s side. He’s in his late twenties with a fiancé, a daughter, and a son. I have younger brother as well. Lucky me being the only girl. Whoo.

18. Favorite movie: Brave because Disney acknowledged that I’m a princess. Jk, but really I don’t know. I’m really picky when it comes to movies, so trying to decide amongst the ones I do like is like asking a parent to pick their favorite kid. Possible, but very difficult.

20. Favorite band: I didn’t always have a favorite band, but as of 2015 it has been Panic! at the Disco.

21. First concert: One Direction. Went with my cousin and my best friend. We sat in the nosebleed section. I had a great time, but now that look back on it, I wish I hadn’t had my first ever concert experience with a One Direction concert. Nothing against them, it’s just not who I am anymore. Not my style, I guess you could say.

22. Current Obsession: BTS (or just K-Pop in general, really). Ever since my friend got me into K-Pop, I have fallen down a dark hole that I don’t want to get out of.

23. First best friend: I’ll be real and just say that I don’t think I had a real best friend until middle school. Her name is Melanie, and in all honesty she is one of the most precious people in my life. I don’t know what I’m going to do once high school is over and we have to go to college because I wouldn’t want to lose contact with her or not see her at all.

24. How would you describe your fashion sense? Vintage grandma edgy classy chic (I need help???) 25.

Pet peeves: Dishonesty, narcissists, hypocrisy, EATING WITH YOUR DAMN MOUTH OPEN OR TALKING TO ME WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL LIKE PLEASE CHEW AND SWALLOW TYVM, disregarding my privacy (let me end this list here)

26. Languages you speak: English, Spanish, Sarcasm, Gibberish/Fangirlish

27. Been out of the country? I’ve been to Dominican Republic three times and went to Italy in 2015. Next place I want to go to is Japan, and later South Korea. ☺️Travel is something I plan on doing a lot in my life.

28. How would you describe yourself? I like to consider myself an honest person. I try to treat others the same way I want to be treated. Respect is a two way street. I’m a clown, and no matter how insensitive my jokes may seem, at the end of the day, they’re just jokes. I don’t lose sleep over whether a person gets offended by something I said or if they don’t like me. I only care about what the important people in my life think about me, and strangers are just that: strangers. I’m more outgoing online with strangers, but my kindness should never be mistaken with complacency or weakness. As nice as I am, I have a limit just like any other person, and once that limit is reached, I can be cold and detached. I hope to never have to reach my limit. Other than that, I’m just your average weirdo on the internet.

29. Fears: Dragonflies and dark hallways. Ironically enough, my patronus is a dragonfly. I am my own fear. Real deep.

30. Reason why I joined Tumblr: This isn’t my first time on here. I had an account prior to this one that I wasn’t really happy with and I deleted it. I made this one in hopes that I’ll finally start being a bit more active. I like the variety that Tumblr offers in terms of individual interests and the kind of people you can find. There’s something for everyone. I joined Tumblr to find people with similar interests to my own and make new friends.

31. Favorite song: At the moment, it’s My Friends by Oh Wonder

32. Favorite holiday: It’s a tie between Halloween and Christmas. (Tim Burton: Why not have both?)

33. Future goals: I want to pursue a career as a foreign service officer (that’s not the FBI; it’s essentially a diplomat). I believe that peace and prosperity for all countries is possible through proper negotiation and discussion between governments. If people placed more focus on talking through problems, compromising, trying to understand one another instead of just heading straight to military action, we could avoid war in most cases.

That’s about as much as I’m willing to write right now in terms of questions. I know it’s all over the place, but I just don’t care right now. If there’s anyone that’s reading this and has any additional questions, feel free to ask. I’ll answer to the best of my ability and as soon as I can. However, if I don’t respond in a couple of days or maybe even weeks, it’s not because I’m avoiding the question or the person who asked it. 2- What color and style is your hair?

I recently got it cut so it is a little bit longer than my shoulders, I sometimes have straight across bangs, but sometimes they are swept to the side. It depends how they sit after my shower~

The color is some kind of medium brown color that almost seems gold in the sunlight sometimes idk

3- What color are your eyes?

Green/blue~

4- Do you wear glasses?

Yup, my glasses are red!

5- Do you wear braces?

Nope

6- What is your clothing style?

I have a couple different clothing styles I think. Like, I will wear oversized sweaters... but I also like to swear skirts and dresses if it isn’t too cold out~

7- Any freckles/mole/beauty marks?

I have a thousand freckles and several moles and stuff all over the place. I honestly hated them when I was growing up but I’ve kind of grown to not really care anymore. I think they make me unique, so I accept them.

8- Where were you born?

Pontiac Michigan!

9- Where do you live?

I live in Idaho! :D Thats still so crazy to me haha

10- Do you have any siblings?

I have three younger sisters.

Not presently.

I was a very responsible student. I loved to learn, I honestly really miss school x_x but I can’t even imagine trying to do that as well as pay all my bills.

Eh.

Honestly my family is not that great. They are extremely manipulative and toxic, which is one of the many reasons that I left in the first place.

I feel like part of the reason I want to have a family of my own so badly is because of how I never felt like my family was actually a family.

During gatherings or any kind of event, my step dad would put on such a fake face. He would act like a completely different person and that just made me feel so sick.

And then when we would get back home, or when company would leave... he would immediately revert to his usual assholish self and it was really an amazing transformation.

I want to have a family.

I feel like this is part of the reason Fairy Tail is so important to me, HA

27- Would you date someone your parents didn’t approve of?

Hah. Yeah. Well, my mother and step father wouldn’t approve of somebody who was different from them (mostly my step dad in that regard) So unless he is heavily Catholic it would be a no-go for them.

Unfortunately for them... idgaf. I actually prefer agnostics, THANK YOU :p

That way we wont have conflicting beliefs when it comes to raising the kids and I think that's extremely important.

I seriously don’t know why I always have such a hard time on this question? I love so many colors for so many different reasons!

I love pink because its lovely

I love green because it reminds me of nature, which is something I seriously love

When people chew with their mouth open or snap their gum.

date #2 of 2017

so i saw the 22 year old TA again from this story and it was actually one of the best dates i ever had. we spent a long time together so get ready for it lol

he planned on taking me to this cove right by the ocean to show me the night sky with all the stars and the moon in all their glory and he was obsessing over the sky being just perfect with minimal clouds

so i drive to his house n im not as nervous as i was from the first story. he invites me in and i sit in his kitchen as he makes a smoothie lmaooo it was actually kinda grody....spinach, kale, mango flavored fish oil, and blueberries was the combination. he got me to try it and i was lowkey disgusted and he laughed a lot at my reaction lol. i learned he was just casually reading a book of war poetry by WWI poets and i was like shit dude ur intelligent...

i told him i didn’t eat dinner and that i was gna eat mcdonalds (i remember from the last date that he didn’t enjoy mcdonalds) and he actually was down to go! as we drove on the way there we talked more music n stuff and he let me look at his music and i got to choose the songs!! he and i like the same shit! blink 182, the killers (my fav), flume, joywave, old fall out boy, etc. also come to find out he likes one of my FAV SONGS EVERRR (i actually found it on tumblr 23858 years ago here and i had never met anyone else who knew about the song). he and i sang it together n i felt so happy. he’s super into films and we bonded over how we liked the inclusion of alfred hitchcock’s psycho into the song.

so we eat our mcdonalds n blast music and we decide to watch bates motel (neither of us had seen it) because it related to psycho lol. he and i cuddled on the couch and after a couple of episodes we took a break and i actually MET HIS MOM????? his mom was pretty and very sweet. she asked me about myself and was very inviting and kind. i was so surprised to meet his mom..... and i was surprised by how comfortable i felt. it was a nice contrast from experiences with my ex in which i freaked out about meeting his family weeks in advance and i didn’t feel comfortable during the introductions when i finally met them.

at one point we ran out to his car and he drove to the cove but unfortunately it was so cloudy you couldn’t see anything. however, we did walk out a little bit to hear the ocean and i smiled up at the moon thanking the moon for being there for everything n for giving me these rly nice moments ill remember forever. i thanked the moon for sharing this contentment with me. he also showed me some of his fav places in the town growing up, mostly places he smoked weed lmao

when we got back to his house, we kept watching bates motel and honestly he reminds me of freddie highmore from bates motel bc they’re both a lil quirky and nerdy and totally dorky. he even mentioned how he is like freddie highmore “when it comes to things like this” right before he turned my head to kiss me :) then we just started making out and at one point he just laid his head down on me as i was stroking his hair and rubbing his back and it was genuinely one of the most calming experiences ever. he told me my hair smells good and i confessed that he smells good everywhere lol. i apologized for blue balling him at one point and he told me it was totally fine and didn’t make me feel bad about being on my period. he told me he was falling asleep on me and so we ended up going up to his bedroom. he gave me an oversized t shirt he brought back from college with the word "fargo” (the capital of north dakota) on it, the place his mom his from.

up in his bedroom we cuddle, and i notice how neatly i fit into his arms and intertwined with his body. it’s not uncomfortable, it’s not too hot, our bones don’t hurt each other, and our breathing is in sync. our heartbeats are straight up the same rate. he smells really good too. he smells like a home. we started making out more and for a second time i apologized for blue balling him. he told me not to worry about it because he knew there was a chance we wouldn’t have sex and he was okay with it bc he still wanted to hang out with me. we talked a lil in the dark (where i feel the most safest) and we talked about our relationships with our parents and our families and our struggles as divorced kids.

in the morning at 7:30, i noticed he got up and left and didn’t come back to bed. i rolled over and he had left me a note on his pillow next to me apologizing about the indigestion he got from the blueberries from his smoothie the night before. he wrote “feel free to wake me up if you rise before me” LOL. it was cute. i wanted to spend more time with him, so i headed down to his basement where he was sleeping on the couch. i asked him if he had to get up at a certain time in the morning and he said no, so i ended up canceling my work, lying about a car problem. he welcomed me on the couch, tucking me in under the covers, but 2 minutes later i told him he could come back up to bed.

we cuddled more in bed, i didn’t really let him sleep lol and we talked more. he asked me about my favorite books and we talked about our friends and china and just random topics. we stayed in bed for 3 more hours haha :) we made out a couple more times too and he told me he likes my icy cold feet. he keeps me warm n i smile a lot when im with him :) i felt super comfortable with him, we were able to banter. at one point i said “i like hanging out with you” really softly and he went “what?” and i repeated it just a bit louder and he said “what?” again but then said “im kidding, i like hanging out with you too” and i got pretend mad at him by turning my back to him and telling him he’s an asshole and it was cute. he told me we fit together like puzzle pieces and i was like wow is he a real human being???? this is so random but i taught him a lil about periods (he’s an only child n never learned about these things)

fast forward, we go to a diner that i had always wanted to go to! and he pays! wow! we talk about random shit like fav movies and school and food. i dared him to eat an entire gob of botter and to chug the small glass of maple syrup; both of which he did, and i gagged each time. we also went to whole foods (my first time going) and he bought me green tea and mango mochi! at one point it was so cold that i coughed all the powder from the mochi all over myself, my phone, and his car and he laughed so hard. on the drive back to his house, i asked if i could play a song, and i played one of my fav songs, lonely lullabies by kweku collins, and he said he really liked it ahhh!!

before we parted ways, he kissed me briefly and then hugged me (picking me up ugh). i made him promise that he wouldn’t watch bates motel without me. we pinky promised and he kisses the pinky which is something i do and it made me so happy :) then he texted me later saying “that was a whole lotta fun. we should do that again soon”

summary n notes: i like that he keeps his eyes closed when we kiss. he keeps them squeezed shut. i rly like him as a human being, he’s interesting and he’s interested in me ? confused. im kinda nervous bc our universities are 1.5 hours away from each other. his mom asked how far away our schools were when we met and he randomly asked me if i had a car at college. i rly rly do like him but i dont know what he wants or what i even want. also back at college i have a fwb that i get along with rly well as a person n this sounds so selfish but i don’t want to cut my fwb out of my life either. i have only one more week of break so i hope i see him again :)
