Oooh i really like that!!! The batfam who possessive, unhelthy protective toward each other except reader (fortunately or unfortunately 😅) I would like to know more about the other members too. What was the trigger who make them like that toward each other?
(Sorry if the english is bad , i'm belgian )
OHHHH, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ASK!!!
Oof, starting out with Bruce Wayne. This man has been through it. He'd already been a little obsessive, considering his response to his parent's death was to dress up as a bat and beat people up. This, plus how he vies for control so much it becomes an obsession. It starts off with Dick, his first son. He didn't really plan to become as attached as he did tbh, he just didn't want the kid dying out on the streets, seeking the same type of retribution he also once sought. Dick was, to say the least, tough to deal with. He didn't want Bruce as a dad, Dick already had a dad and he was dead. But as days and patrols went on, Bruce became B, and on certain nights when Dick wakes up trembling, B becomes dad. And that cements it. Bruce was now a dad.
Then comes Jason. The kid was a riot, having the balls to jack tires off of the Batmobile and having the audacity to hit him with the tire jack too! Bruce knew Jason would be his son then and there, no question. Sure, Jason was a bit scared now, but once he settled in, it felt like everything was in place. He never stopped being a riot, reading and coming up with quick quips like nobody else. Eventually, Jason came to find out about Bruce's night job, and bada-bing-bada-bang, the second robin was ready to take on the streets. Dick wasn't too happy but its fine, turns out Dick ended up loving the kid just as much as him. Which is why Jason's death completely sent Bruce over the edge. His boy, his, killed by that god awful clown. It takes everything in his body to not rip the joker in two.
"It wouldn't be what Jason wanted", he tells himself as he brutalizes another petty thief. He says as he nurses another glass of brandy. He says as he benches Dick and starts another screaming match. But he doesn't care, he can't lose another son.
Then incomes little Tim Drake. He almost gets whiplash when this tiny little boy enters his office, thick folder in hand with a determined look in his eyes. Tim drake says his piece,
"You're killing Gotham."
"You're killing yourself."
"You need a robin."
"I can be Robin."
Those words set him off. Jason. His precious son-dead because of his crusade. the word "no" leaves his mouth stronger than he intends. He doesn't remember much about the exchange after that, but he remembers Alfred escorting a glaring Tim Drake out of his office. The folder remains on his desk, pictures, and documents askew. He opens it once more half-heartedly, his gaze blurring with tears as he looks down. Pictures. Hundreds of them, ones of him and Dick, of Him and Jason, and dick and Jason. He cries silently in his study that night. But it doesn't stop there, Tim Drake is persistent. He tells him to stop, but there's no quelling Tim. He follows him on patrols, stopping him when he gets too violent, and calling ambulances while Bruce tries to dampen the rage in his body.
Eventually, everything blows up one day, he yells at Drake, telling him to get lost or else he'd end up dying out here, dying like Jason. Tim never does stop. Instead, somehow, he now finds himself spending his nights with another little black-haired, blue-eyed boy. This one smaller than the last. He doesn't grow attached this time, he swears he won't. But it's hard not to love the boy. His witty banter, his long rants, and his insane cognitive skills, making even Bruce marvel at him. He's not Jason, he reminds himself, but it doesn't matter. He finds himself loving Tim Drake all on his own. Dick on the other hand had come around to loving Tim faster than Bruce had. Tim was his bird, just like Jason was. Tim had earned his respect. And now three became four.
Then the Redhood appears, a duffle bag full of heads arriving with him. He takes Gotham by storm, crime lords being killed left and right. He's elusive, obious Leauge training instilled in him and something else. Something familiar. Then Batman gets a warning from Hood,
"Keep an eye on your new Robin. It'd be a shame if he ended up like the last one."
And just like that Tim, Robin, is benched, much to Tims's outrage. Hes sent to Titans Tower, far away from from Gotham, far away from Hood. Its too bad that doesn't stop the Hood from finding the little bird anyway. Green is swimming in his vision when he first enters Drake Manor, he knows his replacement isn't here, but he's hoping somebody else will be. In the end, Hood doesn't find the Replacement's parents, when hacking into their flight logs he finds out they've been in Honduras for the past four months. Puzzle pieces click in Hood's head as he gears up towards Titans Tower. There has been a change of plans, well, not completely. Bruce would learn his lesson, but his plans for Tim have drastically changed. He'd scare the bird, nothing more,
"No more dead Robins." He repeates, a new meaning to those words.
(P.S! I know canonically the Drakes were not abusive, maybe a smidge neglectful, but they loved Tim. And Tim loved them. they were good parents. This is all following fanon.)
He doesn't expect Tim to fight back, sure it's a pathetic try considering the amount of sedative gas he'd pumped into the building. He simply cooed as he stroked Timmy's hair, watching as the bird slumped into him. The last word leaving his mouth was a slurred "Ja'sn." And Hood, Jason is pleasantly surprised. What a smart bird. Some events happen in between, but eventually, Jason finds himself back at the manor, back with his family. Bruce and Dick don't let him or Tim out of their sights their first week back.
This is when Jason meets Stephanie for the first time. She isn't adopted, no, but he could see that she's family nonetheless. As much as Bruce reprimands her, he also urgently ushers her over to Alfred for a check-up, thanks to another one of her reckless stunts. She and Tim get along great, whilst she and Dick are a rambunctious bunch, making it their life's goal to give B grey hairs. She's a feral thing, fighting to prove to herself that she isn't her father. Again, she was a Robin too, if only for a few days, still, she was there. Jason ends up cuddled on a couch with her and Tim on either side of him, watching some shitty ass crime movie. He grumbles, but there's no heat behind his complains.
Then comes Cassandra Cain. Within hours of meeting her, it was a unanimous decision to take her in. With her background, her story, and her lack of speech, it would be difficult to send her off elsewhere. And now Bruce has a Daughter, and his boys have a sister. Its not common knowledge, but Bruce has always wanted a daughter, and Cass was a saint. She was sweet yet lethal, she cared about her brothers, often going out with Dick, and learning how to read with Jason, whilst she and Tim bonded over casework. And just like him and her brothers, she wouldn't dare let a hair on any of their heads be hurt. Once she gets more comfortable talking, she doesn't ever stop reminding Jason that she's the older out of the two of them. She and Dick bond over Ballet and Dancing, his gymnastics, and time spent in the circus making it possible for him to keep up/aid Cass with her newfound hobby. Steph and Cass are even more well off together, usually patrolling together, or Steph ends up dragging Cass along to plot her next scheme. Bruce watches in adoration.
Then you arrive. He's completely blind sided when Alfred says he has a call from CPS, saying he has a biological child. You're a small thing when you arrive at the manor, only eleven years old. But right now, he just can't get over the fact that he has a child, one that was of his actual blood, and you've just been dumped on his doorstep. He doesn't know what to do, so he just gives you an awkward pat before retreating into the cave. He cant deal with this right now, he has one too many high-profile cases going on at the same time, and now, everyone couldn't just walk and talk freely around the manor. He sighs into his hands, your timing really was poor, but he knows it isn't your fault. You're just a kid, a kid who lost her mom. But yet, Bruce can't bring himself to talk to you. Alfred keeps reminding him with a disappointed tone, and Bruce promises that he'll get around to talking to you, but he just never does. It doesn't help that he starts seeing you less and less. Unbeknownst to him, you've taken the hint that nobody really wanted you here, so you just stopped caring. And Bruce doesn't care enough to amend your thoughts.
Lastly comes Damian. His blood-son. The son of him and the woman he once loved, Thalia al Ghul. Sure, there was some love lost over the years but he still had feelings for her. How could he not? All those days spent training in Nanda Parbat, how could he not still love her if even just a little bit? And Damian? He's the living, breathing amalgamation of their love. It doesn't help that the boy is adorably feisty, and dangerous, but it's clear that he's still a kid seeking approval from his father and mother. He knew Tim was going to be ecstatic, finally, he wouldn't be the youngest (though he forgets that technically you were the youngest). It's an immediate catfight when Tim and Damian meet, though Tim doesn't take it to heart, he knows how League influence works. He does, however, put Damian in his place subduing him before everyone else comes down to see what happened. Immediately Jason grabs ahold of Damian, remembering him from his time in the league. He holds Damian in a possessive grip as he looks him in the eyes, green swirling in them.
"baby bat, its good to finally have you back."
"Tch, its good to see you too Akhi."
"Still Dami, you're new here, but we also have rules. No harming family. You touch Timmy or anyone else again, ill keep you locked up in my room." Jason says gently.
Damian only nods his head, familiar with his akhi's protective behavior. Tim was his brother then, and everyone else was family.
"I understand Akhi, no harm will come to Drake. I apologize, I did not know he was family."
Tim only flashes Damian a feral smile.
"No harm done Damian, you're not the fist person in the family thats tried to kill me."
Jason grumbles. Whilst Dick laughs. What a fucked up dynamic, am i right?
Of course, nobody really tells Damian you're a part of the family too. All Damian knows is that you're the only biological daughter of Batman, you are not considered family, and he must kill you to inherit his rightful place. What he didn't know, was that you were just a civilian, someone not even worth the effort. Still, the damage is already done. Damian expects some kind of punishment, however, he only gets a light reprimand and is let off the hook.
"He's still learning." They all say.
He ends up cuddled on the family couch in between his father and Drake, whilst Grayson, Todd, and Cass fight over what movie to pick. He doesn't see you anywhere.
'Good.' He thinks to himself.
You were of inferior breeding, weak and fragile. You had no place amongst them or anywhere else. Still, you were his half-sister, meaning he had some obligation to you. Sure, he hated being related to someone so weak, but hey, according to league customs, you were marked by his sword, meaning it was now his job to be your keeper. So, he'd make sure you'd stay at the manor and stayed out of trouble and out of the way.
Anyways, y'all are going to see more of their dynamics with each other and y/n in later chapters. Just wanted to drop this drabble. Thanks for this ask! I really enjoyed writing this.

Playful tension
Summary: sam was your long time friend, but one playful afternoon makes you see him in a different light.
Word count: 1.1k
Notes: inspired by a character ai lol
Warnings: heavy flirting, s€xual tension (?)
You and Sam had been friends since you were kids and had been hunting together for years, but right now you were bored. Dean had gone out to dig up information leaving you and Sam cooped up in the bunker.
“Y/n…” Sam muttered not looking up from his laptop, “i can’t focus with you tapping” he stated blankly. You pouted and scooted your seat closer to him “Can you blame a girl?” you whined resting your head on your hands. He stopped typing to look up at you “No, but you being this close is distracting” you rolled your eyes, watching him dive back into his research. You took that as a challenge and you moved even closer, resting your chin on his shoulder “How about now?” You questioned with a smirk. Sam sighed but couldn’t hold back a chuckle “Very distracting” he said with an obvious hint of annoyance. He closed his laptop in defeat, about to give you the attention you were asking for.
“I win!” You said with a smirk “your gonna regret that” he told you as he placed a hand on the side of your head beginning to mess with your hair. “Alright enough!” You plead pulling back from him. “Nah” he smiled, bringing both hands to attack your hair. “Sam! I'm gonna do the same to you!” You shouted, stretching your arms out. “You're two feet too short for that,” he says standing up, his hair now out of your reach. “Oh really?” You remarked reaching up and forcing him to walk backwards until the back of his legs met the back of the couch.
You lunge at him causing the both of you to topple onto the couch with you on top of him. He let out an ‘oof’ and opened his eyes to you straddling his waist making him blush. “This isn't fair at all” he claimed “i had to be resourceful” you smiled grabbing a fist full of his hair. He let out a groan as you began roughly messing up his hair. “You look like a puppy!” You giggled to yourself. Sam grabbed ahold of your wrist “i do not.” He denied. ‘You're so cute’ you thought to yourself not realizing the words rolled off your tongue in a whisper.
“Did you just call me cute?” He asked even though he heard you clear as day, a smile forming at the corner of his lips. “What? No” you replied in shock pulling away from him. He huffed sitting up before quickly pulling you back down to his lap “Oh yes you did” he laughed. Your eyes widened “i don't know what you're talking about Sammy” you falsely claim leaning away from him, your face growing redder by the second. He gripped your arms bringing you closer with a playful grin spread across his face “Oh yes you do”.
Your demeanor switched and you breathed in sharply taken aback by Sam’s bold actions. He smirks noticing the change, leaning closer while holding you still. “You’re not getting out of this now” he teases. “Oh, am i?” Your question, putting up a tough front like his grip on you didn't have you completely flustered. It didn't work, he could feel your breath on him and see the red tinge covering your cheeks. “You're blushing so hard and trying to act like i can't see it” he chuckled.
“Your acting like your any less red” you confronted. He furrowed his brows “thats not fair” he said getting defensive over his own complexion. You rolled your eyes, he responded in protest by pulling you closer. Your chest now pressed against his, causing you to whine “sam..”. “Yes?” He replies, His hot breath against your ear. You sit in his lap unable to utter a word, “cat got your tongue?” You could feel his chest vibrating while he chuckled. He pulled back looking over your face, but your gaze fell on bis lips. “My eyes are up here” he said lowering his gaze to meet yours. “What?” You questioned breaking from your trance “you were staring at my lips” he explained softly “only because theyre so chapped” you tried to sound annoyed.
“Keep acting like i can't feel your heart beating against me” he smiled. “Shut up” you mumbled looking away from him, “no, look at me” he commanded using his thumb to tilt your chin back at him. It took everything in you to resist leaning into him as he glanced over your lips. He was giving into his urges, his face slowly getting closer to yours. He felt you squirm and his hands come down from your waist to softly caress your thighs. You close your eyes “Sam, we shouldn’t” you try your convince yourself. “Why not?” He asks softly, his brown eyes meeting yours.
There was no denying your feeling, you could feel your whole body relax when staring into his eyes and unconsciously started leaning into him. In one swift movement, he closed the gap between you. Pressing his lips into yours. The kiss was softer than you could’ve imagined, you let yourself linger, trailing your hands up his chest. Sam was melting, surprised at the warmth of your lips against his. His hands moved to your back allowing him to deepen the kiss, craving the feeling of your lips moving under his.
The sound of keys jingling made you both jump up from the couch. “Hi, Dean!” You call out trying to distract from Sam nervously fixing his hair. “Hey guys…” Dean was immediately put off by both of your rigid postures. Sam whipped the shared saliva from his mouth. awkward silence was suffocating the bunker “Well, I'm gonna head to bed…you know, let you two debrief” you gulped, trying your best to act normal. “Good night Sam” your hand traced down his arm before leaving the room. Sam eyed your figure until you were out of sight.
Dean raised his brows, “what the hell was that?” He asked sternly pointing in your direction. “Hu, what?” Sam broke from the trance you left him in. Dean's hand fell to his side with a loud sigh, “i need a beer”

So I finally got Classic X-men #41 & #42 and I loved them so much! I wanna read the dark phoenix saga now! But oof Scott's past is so tragic. Some fanfics I read mentioned it but I was still not ready for it haha! I am so curious if there are more issues about what Mr Sinister was doing to young Scott! Why is he keeping him in that orphanage and how many people did he hurt and killed to keep Scott under control? He clearly has a facination for Scotty and he knows that Scott is a mutant before he manifests any signs! Even Xavier is not really aware of Scott yet. Is Scott the first mutant he is observing? What does he want from Scotty? Also what's the deal with Nate (it is funny that Scott call his son Nathan now haha). I've so many questions haha! But I think these two issues are wonderful as they are! Dear Scotty is cute and a very good boy, as always! <3
a sweetheart who wants to play tough haha!
I like that he doesn't see himself as a hero but actually acts like one (even if it is not enough to save the day. He still tries his best and takes actions when needed). I was so sad to read the couple who wanted to adopt him got killed. Same for Robyn, she did so much for him and now she is no longer the same person. I didn't read Scott as a character who has abandonement issues, but maybe he does. Cause which such past, I would not blame him. I find it super interesting that his memories are all messed up and he doesn't realised what he says second ago. I wonder if his mutation was creating these memories issues or just the brain damage. But he should get some issue as an adult then? I don't know much about the dark phoenix saga but it seems like Scott and Jean's relationship is strong and really sweet. I am rooting for them <3 here a bby Scott and Robyn

pairing: choso x fem!reader word count: 5.8k synopsis: yuji's getting married and you and choso are best man and woman. it's not your wedding though, so why do your hands keep ending up on each other? themes/warnings: SMUT! mdni, plot tho i was a smidge lazy about it, masturbation, piv intercourse, nipple play, nipple piercings!choso, sub-ish!choso, switchy reader, friends to lovers.
a/n: oof. i feel like this is a bit rushed, but he caught me on an ovulation week ig. would love to know what you think!
“YN!!”
Yuji’s familiar voice shouts your name before you can even reach the host stand. You smiled apologetically to the hostess before making your way towards him.
“Yu-ji, Yu-ji!” you hop excitedly towards the young man until you can wrap him up in a tight hug. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen you! Thank you for inviting me to dinner.”
“Of course!” Yuji beamed back at you.
You glanced at the table and were surprised to see how many place settings there were. You seemed to have been the first to arrive and you wondered who all he had invited. The seats filled with Yuji’s friends one by one. Megumi and Nobara were familiar names and it was nice to finally match a face to them. You watched Yuji with curiosity, noticing that he seemed to be buzzing with a sort of unusual energy. Nerves, maybe, but you’d never known Yuji to be a particularly nervous person.
A shadow fell over you as you watched Yuji converse excitedly with his coworkers. You glanced up and did a double take when you realized it was Yuji’s older brother, Choso, standing over you.
“Oh shit,” you chuckled, squinting up at him. “Something big’s going on, huh?”
It had been many a year since Yuji had summoned both you and Choso together. Not because you didn’t get along or anything, but because your lives had simply taken you in different paths. Your work had moved you an hour from the city and so occasions where all three of you were together had grown increasingly rare.
Choso took the empty seat across from you and watched as your eyes flitted to his younger brother with suspicion. He was surprised at the sense of familiarity and comfort he felt seeing you, despite it having been probably two to three years.
Choso wondered how your parents were. You’d grown up as neighbors and your parents had welcomed Choso and Yuji as practically their own. While other adults whispered nasty things about their absentee parents, yours had shared nothing but care and kindness.
“Ay ay!” Yuji stood up suddenly, lifting a glass ceremoniously. “Thank you everyone for coming! I know it’s tough to get a big group like this together typically, so I appreciate you all making the time today.”
“As you can probably guess…I have an announcement to make,” Yuji continued, “So let's just get that out of the way.”
The woman next to him stood up and placed her hand in his.
“Yuko and I are engaged!” Yuji announced loudly.
You gasped, jaw dropping. Your eyes darted to Choso, filled with excitement. You'd met Yuko once when she and Yuji had first started dating. Granted it had been years, but time really flies! You looked on happily as the group tittered and got their questions answered.
When had this happened? Had they set a date? Would it be destination or local?
“Did you know?” you kicked Choso under the table.
“I knew he'd been planning,” he answered calmly.
“I can't believe it,” you pressed your palms to your cheeks. “I remember when they just started dating.”
“You don't get back here nearly enough,” Choso commented behind a sip of water.
“I know,” your face creased with guilt and your cheeks heated up.
Choso smiled. You still couldn't seem to tell when he was just teasing you.
“What do you think? This is a big deal,” you asked.
“Yuko’s a great girl. I think they make a lot of sense together.”
“That's great. If Yuji’s happy, I'm happy,” you grinned.
Choso nodded. He couldn't agree more. His eyes softened at the corners as he watched you. You were watching Yuji with such a fond expression.
You looked on as Yuko, Yuji, and his friends chatted excitedly. You were older and not quite a part of the friend group, so it was easy to sit back and observe. It was sweet to see the way that Yuji folded Yuko seamlessly in with his friends. They were clearly a tight knit group.
“What’s up with you these days?” Choso interrupted your quiet observations.
“Not too much, to be honest. Working at the same company. Switched roles, but mostly things are the same. You?”
“You know me. Sucking blood from kids,” he shrugged.
“Can you-?” you rolled your eyes so far back into your head that all he saw were the whites. “Must you say it like that?”
Choso was a phlebotomist at the children’s hospital. A perfect respectable career, but the way he chose to describe it was still the weirdest ever. Still it paid well and the schedule was reasonable. Choso was still giggling to himself when Yuko and Yuji appeared at your side.
“YN?” Yuji approached.
“Yeah?” you turned to the two with a smile.
“I-I…I have a favor to ask,” Yuko looked at you nervously.
“What is it?”
“Um…I don’t have much family left. I-, um. Would you be willing to help me with the wedding planning?”
“Oh!” your eyes widened as you processed the ask. “Yuko, of course! I’m so honored you asked! Thank you!”
“Thank you so much!” Yuko grabbed your hands excitedly and Yuji let out a sigh of relief.
Choso watched as you and Yuko exchanged phone numbers and made plans to meet up. He wondered if you still had the same phone number.
Your phone lit up with a message as you pulled into your apartment’s parking lot. The contact was saved as a string of emojis, so you didn’t immediately recall who it was.
[⛓️👿♟️]: ‘is this still your #?”
[yn]: ‘who is this?’
[⛓️👿♟️]: ‘...rude’
[yn]: ‘????’
[⛓️👿♟️]: ‘it’s choso’
[yn]: ‘ohhhhhhhhhh! i must’ve saved you as these emojis ages ago. my bad!’
[⛓️👿♟️]: ‘what are my emojis?? 👀’
[yn]: ‘⛓️👿♟️’
[⛓️👿♟️]: ‘plz change those. 😑’
[yn]: ‘LOL don’t judge! those are from high school’
[yn:] ‘updated!’
[💉🩸]: ‘👀’
[yn]: ‘💉🩸’
[💉🩸]: ‘🥹 please’
[yn]: ‘not taking constructive criticism. good night’
[💉🩸]: ‘so mean’
You laughed, slipping your phone back into your pocket and gathering your things. You thought as you took the elevator upstairs. Once upon a time, you, Choso, and Yuji had been much closer. You’d been neighbors since you’d been born, but you hadn’t grown close until late middle school. Choso’s mother had fallen ill and then after her passing, their father, Ken, faded into absenteeism. Your parents had been unable to do anything other than welcome them in as their own. Afternoon’s and evenings were quickly filled with Choso and Yuji and the three of you became a reliable trio.
It was nice to see Choso. He had a few more years on him and it suited him.
…
You might have regretted saying yes to Yuko’s favor.
Not that you would've made a different decision, but more like you would've bought a wheelchair so that you could make Choso and Yuji push you around. Because of your limited availability, weekends had been packed with venue tours, dress fittings, and even a color analysis appointment for the four of you to help Yuko and Yuji decide on a color scheme. Nearly four hours just to learn that dark jewel tones suited you and Choso best.
You exhaled sharply, trying to keep up with Choso’s long strides. Today was maid of honor’s dress and best man’s tux trying day.
“Wait up. I got little legs!” you joked, tugging on Choso’s sweatshirt.
“Oh, sorry,” he chuckled goodnaturedly. “Was lost in thought.”
“Don’t hurt yourself,” you teased, reaching up to tap him gently on the forehead.
Choso’s brow furrowed imperceptibly and he blinked down at you. He felt somehow flustered at your teasing.
“Come on!” you grabbed his hand absentmindedly and tugged him into the dress store.
“Hello!” the front desk attendant greeted you. “YN?”
“Yes! We made an appointment for nine thirty?”
“Welcome welcome! My name is May, let me show you to the fitting room,” she gestured to follow her. “We already received some notes from Yuko that we are going for jewel tones, so we’ve pulled out a handful of styles and colors to try and point us in viable directions.”
“Great!” you smiled, dropping your bag onto the couch before moving to the fitting room.
“And mister boyfriend or husband?” May turned to address Choso, “May I get you anything to drink?”
“Who?” Choso looked around. “Me?”
“Yes,” May smiled patiently.
“Water would be fine,” he answered. He must’ve misheard her.
“I’ll be right back!” she clapped her hands together sharply.
“Ooh, I love this color, but not the style,” you thought aloud as you emerged from the fitting room.
Choso agreed. As he had learned from the color analysis class, this color brought out a certain glow in your face.
You did a quick 360 for him before retreating back into the fitting room. May returned with water before you came back out with the second dress on. This one was much more suited to your shape, but the sleeves left something to be desired. A series of dresses were tried and shown to May and Choso before you tried one on that really dropped your jaw.
“You okay in there?” Choso’s deep voice checked in on you as you admired yourself.
“Yeah, I’ll be right out!” you called back, checking out the back one more time before opening the door.
“Wow…,” May’s hands came to cover her mouth with delight.
Shit. Choso sat up straight.
“I love this one,” you smiled at both May and Choso.
He nodded.
“That’s the one?” May asked kindly. “There’s absolutely no rush, so don’t feel shy about trying more on.”
“Ah, I suppose I should try a few more on, huh?” you nodded before spinning one more time in front of the trifold mirrors. This one would be hard to beat.
“Oh! I forgot! Are we taking pictures to send to the bride and groom? Or do we have full creative control today?”
“Ah shit!” you burst back out of the fitting room, holding the unzipped dress up to your chest. “We do need to take photos for Yuko. Choso, can you?” you looked toward him.
“Oh, yes, hold on,” Choso stood.
May helped to zip you back up while he searched through his pockets for his phone. He crouched back down a bit to center you in the frame and you gave him a bright smile, posing slightly. He gave you a curt nod when he was satisfied. This process repeated itself several times until you had about seven viable dress options and Choso had a veritable deck of photos in his phone for Yuko.
Then it was Choso’s turn.
“Phew! I’m glad to be back in my leggings,” you chuckled, flopping down on the couch.
“Wow, you are broad!” May remarked as she took Choso’s shoulder measurements.
Choso flushed at her comment as she moved expeditiously to his waist and then inseam.
“Are you even real?” she joked noting his shoulder to waist ratio. “Built like a Dorito chip.”
You snorted at this comment. May was kind of out of pocket and you loved it. You covered your mouth to try and hide your giggles. Choso had always been easy to fluster and apparently that hadn’t changed. Pink spread across the scrunch in his nose and crept up the tips of his ears. Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, he was honestly adorable.
“Stop,” he whined while May pulled suits for him.
“Sorry, but that was funny,” you smiled apologetically at him, straightening your face.
“I’m not built like a Dorito!” he insisted.
“You kind of are though,” your eyes roved over him.
“You really are,” May echoed as she came back into the room with a handful of suits. “I’m gonna tell you now, we’ll need to tailor these. So I fitted to your shoulders and then we’ll pin the waist to get a sense of things now.”
Choso nodded, accepting the stack from May and retreating into the fitting room.
“So how long have you two been together?” May asked as you waited for him to emerge.
“Hm?” you looked up from your phone, “How long have we known each other? Since forever, I guess. We were neighbors growing up.”
“Ah, so you started dating more recently?”
You spat out your water.
“What?!” you looked at her with alarm. “We’re not-, what gave you that idea?”
“No?” May raised an eyebrow, giving it more serious thought. “You two look good together. It’s a vibe, I don’t know!”
Choso stepped out of the dressing room at this moment, eyebrows raised at the conversation he’d walked into.
“Oh!” your eyes widened, giving him a once over. He’d stepped out in a black suit with a deep purple dress shirt and black bow tie.
“What do you think?” he looked at you expectantly.
“You look good, man,” you nodded. “That color lady was right. Amethysty purple looks good on you too.”
“How’s the fit?” May asked, stepping towards him. “Do you have a comfortable range of motion in the arms? That’s usually the key point for suits.”
Choso moved his arms around, rotating fully above his head a few times and swinging his arms forward and backwards a few times. You couldn’t help but notice the way the shirt strained at his chest as he did so, buttons looking as if they might pop at any moment.
“It looks tight,” you couldn’t help but comment.
“It is a little,” Choso nodded, “Can we go up one size, May?”
“Sure thing!” May nodded, leaving again to grab more options.
“What do you think?” you asked behind him, watching his reflection in the mirror. “Do you want to go black suit and color dress shirt? Or do want to go color suit and black dress shirt?”
“I don’t know,” Choso shrugged, meeting your gaze in the mirror as he started to undo buttons. “I’ll try both, but I don’t really care either way. You tell me if you have a strong preference.”
“Okay,” you nodded, eyes glued to his fingers making quick work of the row of buttons.
“Whoo! Free show!” May remarked when she walked back in, quickly noting Choso’s now half exposed chest. “Here’s round two.”
“Thanks,” Choso chuckled bashfully. He was getting more accustomed to May’s bright personality.
May made a show of fanning herself as he stepped back into the fitting room. You laughed.
“I’m gonna try on the purple suit this time,” Choso called over the door.
“Sure!” you nodded.
“Okay, definitely not this,” he shook his head as he stepped out.
You had to agree. The large swath of purple was somehow…Wonkian. With a quick nod from May, Choso retreated once again, this time emerging with the black suit and purple shirt again.
“How’s that feel for sizing?”
“Good, but loose around the waist.”
“Ah yes, but that’s easily addressed,” May nodded, stepping behind him to pull darts into the shirt expertly. Like magic, the silhouette of the shirt tucked into a neat V.
“Come hold this please, YN?” she jerked her head at you. “I need to grab my safety pins.”
You nodded and grabbed the sections of fabric from May.
“This looks good,” you popped your head out from around him to remark.
Choso nodded. Your knuckles rested against the small of his back as you looked up at him. His skin prickled in a way that wasn't totally unpleasant.
“How was work this week?” you asked with a smile.
“Good,” he nodded. “Pretty busy but we were actually fully staffed, for once. You?”
“Not too bad! I'm between projects right now, so it was a fairly quiet week.”
“How is Yuji feeling about the wedding? Overwhelmed at all?”
“He seems fine,” Choso smiled.
You chuckled. That was typical, you supposed.
“Yuko seems a little overwhelmed sometimes.”
“I think so,” you nodded. “I get a panic text from her every so often. It's not too bad, just a lot of things to think about.”
Choso’s eyebrows furrowed.
“I'll talk to Yuji. If Yuko is feeling overwhelmed, he should step in and help.”
You looked at Choso with interest. Characteristically reliable.
“Found the pins!” May burst back in. “Sorry it took so long!”
“No problem,” you and Choso answered in unison.
You allowed May to pin the fabric of his shirt and Choso found himself missing your closeness when you stepped back.
“What do we think?”
“Good,” Choso nodded, tugging the suit jacket into place. “Is this color close enough to your dress?” he glanced at you.
“Oh yes, I think so,” May nodded, pulling the final dress selection out to compare.
“Then I think I'm all good,” he nodded surely.
You sent the pictures of Choso’s suit to Yuko as he changed back into his crew neck sweater and cargo pants. That was the Choso you were used to.
“Should we eat?” he smiled crookedly at you, reaching a hand out to pull you up.
“Sure!”
“I know a place,” he nodded, so you followed his lead.
…
You beamed at Choso excitedly. Cake tasting day!
“Excited?” he crossed his arms and cocked his head at you.
“Very! It's cake day!” you grinned goofily up at him.
“That it is,” he chuckled, glancing around for Yuji and Yuko. “I wonder where they are.”
“Will you call them? I'll go check in for the appointment at least.”
Choso nodded and you split up.
“Hello!” you greeted the front desk as you stepped in the door. “We have a ten-thirty appointment, but our bride and groom seem to be running a bit late.”
“Not to worry,” the receptionist smiled kindly at you.
“What's the word?” you asked Choso when he stepped inside.
“How do I, uh,” Choso flushed across the cheeks. “They're young and in love…and lost track of time. So they are going to be quite late. They think thirty minutes.”
“Oh dear,” your eyes widened and you looked towards the receptionist apologetically. “What should we do? I assume you're booked out quite a ways.”
“Yes,” she nodded regretfully. “If the two of you would like to proceed with the tasting and take notes for the bride and groom, I would recommend that as the best way to proceed.”
“Yes, that makes sense,” Choso nodded, “I am terribly sorry about this.”
“That's quite alright!” she smiled generously, “You’d be surprised that that's not the first time that's happened.”
You exchanged a surprised glance with Choso.
“Personally I’d love to be late because I was getting my back blown out instead of my usual reason, which is just poor planning.”
“Hah!” you let out a loud laugh at her remark, “Same, friend. While I am very happy for the bride and groom, all this wedding stuff is making me feel so single.”
Choso’s eyebrows raised with surprise.
“Hello my beautiful bride and groom!” a chef entered the room enthusiastically.
“Oh no, we're not,” you waved your hands at him.
“The bride and groom are running late so we will be taking notes for them,” Choso added.
“Ah, I see. Well when you are ready for your own wedding I hope you come back to see us!”
You and Choso both nodded goodnaturedly which seemed to satisfy the man, so he proceeded with cake samples. Yuko and Yuji had already decided on shape and tiers, so all you needed to do was provide input on flavors. You were grateful that the bakery had provided templates to take notes on because there seemed to be no end to the flavors you were shown.
“I think I hate cake now,” you mumbled to Choso at the end of it.
“Agreed. If I don't eat cake again until the wedding, I'd be just fine.”
You smiled at him.
“Oh you have some cake,” he gestured to his own mouth.
“Oh!” you licked your lips again and reached for a napkin.
“Here, let me,” Choso moved to brush the smudge off himself.
You didn't know what happened and neither did he, but at the end of the day Choso’s thumb slid into your mouth and your tongue had wrapped itself readily around it. Wide eyes met and you made a noise of confusion. Muffled by his large thumb, it sounded more akin to a moan.
Choso’s heart stopped for a moment. He was panicking but also frozen, staring at your lips pursed around his digit. Your mouth was wet and warm and he felt strongly that this was something that should have remained unknown to him. Then the friction of your tongue against the pad of his fingertip sent a jolt of adrenaline through him.
“Shit, I-,” he finally unfroze and pulled his hand back. “I didn't mean-.”
“Me neither,” you shook your head furiously. You were still hot with embarrassment when the receptionist came in to tie things up with you.
Awkward silence lingered over you when you and Choso left. Your goodbye was short and thoughts of his fingers plagued your mind as you drove back home.
…
Choso turned onto his stomach again. He couldn't sleep. Couldn't do much after what had happened today. Not because it was something he felt you couldn't recover from.
No, it was the want. It had settled in the pit of his stomach like a heavy weight and ignoring it wasn't helping at all.
“Fuck,” he huffed, hips grinding into the mattress. The friction was a welcome relief from the pulsating throb he’d been doing his best to ignore.
“Oh,” he exhaled sharply as he picked up the pace. He dragged his length across the soft, microfiber sheets and pictured your cheeks hollowing as you sucked around him.
He let out a ragged whine and flipped onto his back again. It wasn't enough. He propped himself up on his pillows and reached into his waistband. He cupped himself and reached for his phone. He flipped to the pictures of you saved there and zoomed in on your face. Whatever guilt he had was quickly pushed away to make room for his wild arousal. He wrapped his long fingers around himself and pumped his hips up into his fist
“YN,” your name fell from his lips repeatedly as he thrust up into his fist. His brow knotted and sweat beaded on his nose as he sought some form of relief.
…
You stared into the dark void of your room as you traced the shape of your lips. Memories of earlier replayed in your mind. The sensation of Choso’s thumb sliding across your lower lip. The friction of the pad pressing against your tongue. The wet ‘pop’ that sounded when he’d pulled back, panicked. You groaned, turning on your side and pressing your thighs together. Sadly it did not settle the throbbing, but it did offer some minor relief.
“Ah fuck it,” you sighed, reaching into the top draw of your nightstand. You fished around for your trusty, purple vibrator and settled into the pillows so you could get this out of your system.
You did your best not to think of Choso. Well…you made an attempt.
But as soon as you closed your eyes, your mind flooded with images of Choso. Over you, supporting himself with his muscular arms as his eyes bored into. Under you, whimpering and moaning prettily, his face flushed from sensation. Kissing your neck from behind as his hands squeezed your hips.
You squeaked as the vibrator buzzed to live and you trailed it along your inner thighs. You wondered briefly how Choso might react to it being used on him and you gushed at the thought. He was so expressive…it would be so fun to just ruin him.
“Shit!?” you gasped, eyes opening as an orgasm rolled through you unexpectedly. You blinked in surprise. It usually took you much longer than that.
You contemplated for a moment while you still had post-orgasmic clarity. As someone who didn’t tend towards topping, it was surprising to feel so attracted and aroused by the idea of doing so to Choso. The idea of pressing your fingers in his mouth quickly pushed the clarity away. Imagining his soft, wet pants through your wet, slick fingers instead sent you straight down the path of unbridled madness instead.
…
“Hey!” you smiled when you saw Choso’s tall figure round the corner.
“Hey,” he smiled lazily. “Ready?”
“Yep,” you nodded, pretending as if you hadn’t spent several nights out of the last week fantasizing about this man.
You stepped into the bridal store with him. It was time for the tailored fittings. May handed you your respective garments and you both stepped into separate fitting rooms. The tailored dress fit like a glove. You smiled with delight as you spun around, getting a sense of the back.
“I love it!” you grinned at May when you stepped out. Her face lit up with delight, giving you a once over.
“You look amazing, holy shit!” she remarked.
Choso’s ears pricked, listening to you and May titter excitedly about the dress. He couldn’t wait to see you. He hurried about tucking the dress shirt into his pants and then tugging on the jacket before he stepped out to join you.
“Oh,” you breathed softly when you saw him.
He looked incredible. The suit really emphasized his broad shoulders and narrow waist. The dark purple color contrasted nicely against his skin and emphasized his eyes.
“This looks great,” you murmured, stepping forward to run your hands over the lapels. The material looked so soft.
“Ssh!” Choso jerked as if he’d been hit and you pulled back quickly.
“What?” you asked, eyebrows creased with worry.
“No, sorry,” he smiled apologetically at you. “It just took me by surprise. You grazed my piercings.”
“Piercings?” you cocked your head, staring at his chest with confusion. Heat crept up your neck and cheeks as you realized…where the piercings were.
Choso looked away, blushing too, at your realization.
“Sorry, I didn’t know,” you blinked up at him. “Can I-, um,” your hands reached out of their own accord. What the fuck were you even asking?!
“Oh, uh…,” Choso blinked. His brain wasn’t fully functioning but he knew he wanted your hands on him again. “Yeah,” he swallowed loudly.
You stepped towards him, unable to meet his eyes. You slipped your hands under his lapels and slid them across his chest. Your fingers splayed and traced over his ribcage, his toned torso, and up to his pecs. You could feel the way his chest expanded and contracted with each breath.
Choso watched you as your hands roamed. You wouldn’t look at him, but your hands explored him greedily. His breaths were shallow as your fingertips searched out his piercings. An exhale hitched in his throat when they finally met. Your fingertips were gentle as they traced the beads. He bit back a moan as your fingertips brushed against his nipples, feeling the flesh around the bar, through the fabric of his shirt. It was difficult to ignore the way he was straining against his slacks.
“Choso,” you exhaled breathlessly and looked up at him. His face was red and his brow was scrunched up.
“I-, oh?” May walked in, pausing suddenly at your proximity.
“Ah, hi May!” you turned quickly to face her.
“Hello! How are we doing in here?” she asked, eyes flitting between you and Choso slowly.
“Good,” you nodded.
“Everything fits well?”
“Yes,” Choso nodded. He was eager to wrap this up so that he could discuss what had just occurred with you.
“Wonderful!” May smiled. “Well then you can get changed back into your street clothes. Yuko requested that we hold onto the entire party’s dresses and suits until the day of the event, so they will be here.”
“Sounds good,” you nodded.
You ducked back into the dressing room and tried to get a grip. What the hell had you been thinking? You needed to eat some grass. You shook your head as you changed back into your casual clothes. You waited for a moment or two, but then wondered if he had left already. Shrugging, you supposed that you didn’t need to wait for him and so stepped outside.
“Hey,” he scared the living daylights out of you as you walked by, checking messages on your phone.
“Shit, hey,” you hissed at him with surprise.
“Should we talk?” he looked down at you, arms crossed over his broad chest.
“We should,” you nodded, “But I’m nervous.”
“What for?” he asked with a soft smile.
You supposed that was a good question. This was Choso after all.
“I just,” you huffed, “Not sure I have an explanation.”
Choso stepped forward, bringing himself toe to toe with you. He lowered his face to yours before he spoke again.
“You like me?”
You contemplated for a moment before relenting. Of course you did.
“Yes,” you met his gaze, lips nearly grazing his now.
“Would you like to act on it?”
You didn’t have to think too hard about this one.
“Yes,” you nodded.
Choso grinned and placed his hands around your waist, pulling you flush against him. He lowered his lips against yours and kissed you enthusiastically.
“I’ll be honest. You got me fired up in there,” he chuckled against your lips. “But I don’t need to go fast if you’re not ready.”
“It’s okay,” you smiled against his lips. Choso was so respectful. “You got me bad.”
“Did you drive?” he asked.
You shook your head.
“Want to come to mine?” he suggested.
You nodded and he led you to his car.
Your bodies were a jumble after he managed to unlock his door. You kissed along his jaw, down his neck, and nipped at his collarbone as he backed you towards his bedroom. You let your hands roam freely this time, tracing the flexing lines of his muscles eagerly. What the hell was he hiding under there?
As if he’d read your mind, Choso leaned back for a moment and pulled his shirt off over his head. Your mouth fell open with surprise. Your eyes traced from his face, over his shoulders, down the sides of his torso, and landed on the dusting of hair below his belly button.
“What the fuck?” you brought your hands to your mouth. “You look like that?!” you nearly shouted at him.
“What?” he shrugged, having the audacity to be shy.
“Lay down, please,” you insisted, grabbing him and pushing him onto the bed. A body like that really did deserve to be worshiped.
You held yourself up over him and pressed a soft kiss against his chest. Choso beamed at you before you blazed a trail down his torso. You placed kisses across his jaw, down his neck, and into his collarbone. You bit gently on his full pec and paused just before his nipple.
“Is it okay?” you looked pointedly at him.
“Yes!” he nodded furiously. He was aching for you.
“Hm!” you hummed with delight and lowered your mouth to him. Your tongue rolled over the piercing, savoring the new sensation.
Choso squeezed his eyes shut as you tongued his sensitive nipple. Sweat was beading up on his nose and brow as you, knowingly or not, tortured him, pulling loud and strangled moans out of him. His large hands found purchase on your hips where you straddled him and he bucked up desperately against you, needing some sort of friction or relief.
You shivered slightly when you unlatched your mouth. It was surprising how much the sounds of Choso’s moans spurred you on.
“You. Are. So. Gorgeous.” you spoke as you placed more kisses against his serratus, lats, and abs. You nuzzled your nose against his happy trail as you pulled his sweatpants down over his hips.
Choso groaned when you grasped him at the base. You kissed your way up the underside before swallowing him into your wet, warm mouth. He was big. Your lips stretched around his girth as you sucked up and down his veiny length.
“Enough,” you were surprised when he pulled you off of him. “I need to be inside of you,” he explained.
You nodded, making quick work of your clothes. You climbed back on top of him and he positioned himself against your wet lips, spreading you apart with his fat head. You rested your forearms on his shoulders as you worked your hips, coating the dark head of his cock with your juices.
“Shitttt,” Choso groaned, deep and throaty as you teased him. “Please, I need more,” he begged.
“Yes,” you answered him simply and lowered yourself onto him completely. You moaned contentedly as he stretched you out.
Choso gripped your hips, helping as you bounced up and down his shaft. His eyes glazed over watching his cock disappear repeatedly into your juicy cunt and his hands gripped you so hard that they might bruise. He tugged you down over and over again, ramming himself into you deep and hard.
“Choso, baby,” you gasped, hands in his hair now for support as he fucked you. “I’m close. I’m so close, baby.”
Choso grinned at 'baby' and nodded, keeping the pace as your orgasm crashed through you. He found himself marveling at how gorgeous you looked as you came apart, bouncing on his cock for him.
“You good?” he asked as you recovered, still lodged deep inside of you.
“Really good,” you smiled at him, skin glowing with sweat. An idea popped into your head suddenly. “What are the chances you have a vibrator?” you asked coyly.
“Why?” he regarded you with suspicion.
“No reason,” you giggled, tracing his nipples with your fingertips gently. You were rewarded by a twitch of his cock, which was all the confirmation you needed.
“I don’t have one, sadly,” he shook his head, shuddering as you continued in little semicircles over his nipples. Your hips followed shortly, grinding against him and Choso’s breathing developed into ragged whimpers and moans.
“That’s okay,” you lapped at his other nipple with your tongue as his face got redder and redder.
“Fuckkk,” he cursed, high pitched and desperate as he grew somehow harder inside of you.
You increased speed slightly, circles tighter and faster against his pert nipples as you bounced on top of him. Choso buried his face into your neck before letting out a loud groan. He held you down on him, releasing deep inside with a few heavy twitches.
“Next time, come to mine,” you smiled mischievously at him. “I do have a vibrator.”
Choso let out a genuine chuckle before pulling you into his chest in a warm hug.
“Deal.”

I have a question. Out of all the amphibians you can think of, which have the most protuberant, goofy-looking, bug eyes? Like, I know most frogs and toads have pretty bulging eyes but there's gotta one or two species that take that up to eleven? Love your blog, it's a really nice mix of informative and fluffiness.
Oof, this is a tough one. Really had to give it some thought.
Purple frogs, Nasikabatrachus, have eyes that look like they have been glued onto a ball of clay:
Photo: Sandeep Das
But I feel like that's not what you're going for.
I think perhaps the most strikingly bulbous eyes belong to frogs of the genus Leptobrachium

These frogs have such huge heads—and then in those heads such huge eyes—that they really look like they were drawn by a cartoonist.

#frog#frogs#animals#zoology#herpetology#I feel like there are some out there that I am definitely not recalling right now#so please add to the list if you can#but Leptobrachium are pretty extreme#taking it to 11?#well maybe 10.5#Nasikabatrachus#Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis#Leptobrachium#Leptobrachium lunatum#Leptobrachium hendricksoni#Answers by Mark

Concussions (Mafia!Stucky x Reader)
The first thing you felt when you gained consciousness was pain. You wanted to move, wanted to open your eyes, but you couldn’t. You stayed still, listening to the muffled sounds of talking and beeping noises. That couldn’t be good. You slowly drifted back into sleep.
When you woke up again you were able to squint your eyes open. The light was blinding, and you wanted to beg someone to turn it down, but your voice was nowhere to be found. You noticed the haze of three figures, two in darker clothes and one in white. The light became too much and you found yourself back in a deep rest again.
The third time you woke up you violently shot up, immediately going to throw up. Someone handed you a bucket while another held back your hair, and you profusely vomited until there was nothing left in your system. You hadn’t noticed you’d been crying as well.
“Babygirl…” Someone spoke as soon as the bucket was taken away from you, and you felt a hand in each of yours.
When your vision cleared, you sniffled and looked at what was in front of you instead of your lap.
There stood your boyfriends, who were better known for being tough and brute, now timid and vulnerable. Both had an undeniable rage behind there eyes, one wouldn’t notice if they weren’t close.
“What happened?” You whispered, holding onto their hands tightly.
Bucky squeezed your hand tighter and looked away, anger flooding his vision.
Steve was the one to speak up. “There was an attempt on our lives. Someone drove into our car.”
You questioned immediately. “Someone-?”
“They've been taken care of.” Bucky announced. “You don't need to worry at all babygirl. What matters is your health.”
And with that Bucky pressed the nurse button, resulting in a flood of nurses and doctors entering the room to check on you.
Multiple tests were ran, as well as various questions (from you and from the doctors) asked.
What you found out: you'd been in a coma for three days. You had a severe concussion, stitches on your leg from shattered glass, and a sprained ankle. This was just pure luck for you.
“What about you guys-” You try. “How hurt did you get?”
Steve grimaced, raising his hand. “Mild concussion.”
You both looked towards Bucky, who raised the back of his hand to show you. “Seven stitches on my hand and a mild concussion.”
You gasped and grabbed Bucky’s hand aggressively, apologizing profusely after a small “oof” left his mouth. You inspected the stitches closely, a small frown on your face.
“What's wrong?” Steve pried.
You frowned deeper, gently holding Bucky’s hand. “Don't like that you both got hurt.”
“It'll never happen again.” Steve calmly promised, though his fist was clenched with anger.
He gently smoothed back your hair and you leaned into his touch, wanting nothing more than to be laying in bed with your boys.
“Get some rest babygirl,” Bucky encouraged. “You'll be discharged from here and we'll be home before you know it.”
With that, you held Steve’s and Bucky’s hands close and slowly drifted asleep.

are there any nonproblematic snake content creators youd recommend ?? feels like hell just trying to get some reptile serotonin and then whoop nevermind theyre doing a lot of shit wrong lol
Oof that is genuinely a tough question! I have a list in my pinned of creators I've reviewed on this channel, but even the ones at the top have some caveats to be aware of (for example, I like Clint's Reptiles, but he's supported breeding spider ball pythons in the past).
Here are some creators that I really like and can recommend with zero hesitation:
Lori Torrini. Her YouTube channel is great, both for awesome care and great snake training tips.
Green Room Pythons is another channel I've come to really love and one of my go-tos when I want some cute snake content. This one is great especially for guides for beginners and advocating for non-minamalist keeping.
Not quite snakes, but Dr. Earyn McGee's Instagram (afro_herper) is great, she posts lots of awesome and educational lizard and general herp content.

I Can See You | Spencer Reid
Add yourself to my taglist! | Here’s my masterlist!
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Summary: When Penelope's best friend comes to help out the BAU on a couple of cases, there's an immediate connection with the youngest of the team. After longing glances, soft touches and wild fantasies, the truth comes out accidentally. What is the resident genius going to do with that information?
Warnings: mention of serial killers and bombings, inappropriate thoughts
Author's note: I've wanted to write this one every single time I listened to the song but when @pastanest wrote it first, I was scared to do it too because that one is just too good (read it here)!! Anyways, hope y'all like this one, too :)
Words: 3K
Being Penelope Garcia’s best friend came with a lot of perks. Aside from it being impossible to ever be sad around her, it also came with the perk of doing the odd job at Quantico. We had met during her days as the Black Queen online and ever since, she had taught me all she knew about hacking and tech analysis. While she worked for the FBI, I worked across the yard at the Capitol as tech support.
Her job was a little more tantalizing – sometimes more traumatizing – than mine. While I simply helped the employees with their technical issues, Penelope actually helped save people.
And sometimes, she called for my help with a case whenever she figured everything would go so much faster with some helping hands and flexible fingers.
The first time she had called me on a case, I didn’t even know what I was in for. She just told me to get to Quantico as soon as I possibly could, that it was a matter of life and death. So, I packed everything up, and rushed across the street to the FBI building. I didn’t even bother to tell my boss. I was certain Penelope’s boss would vouch for me and get me out of trouble, even though I had never met him.
“Thank you so much for coming, y/n/n,” said Penelope as she took me into a hug as soon as I burst through the front doors and into the hallway.
“Penny, what’s happening? Are you okay?” I asked and held her at a short distance to inspect her for any injuries.
She waved away my question. “Yeah, I’m fine,” she said and grabbed my hand to drag me towards reception where I had to register. It wasn’t until after my bag had been inspected and I passed through security that she started to explain what was happening. “We’re working on this really tough case and though my dainty fingers are quick at tip tapping away on the keyboard, I’m gonna need your genius to get me the answers twice as fast.”
On the way up to the sixth floor, she briefed me about the case, just so I was up to speed before we actually started. I was too distracted listening to her rambles that I didn’t even notice another person rushing through the hallway on our way from the elevators to her office.
My shoulder bumped into theirs, causing me to stumble ever so slightly, but firm hands on my shoulders kept me from actually falling. “Oof, sorry!” The both of us apologized at the same time.
What I didn’t expect to happen when I looked up at the person was being so taken aback by the beautiful pair of eyes that locked onto mine. The hazel orbs had tiny gold specks in them, making them look almost honey-colored.
I was so distracted by his eyes, I didn’t catch Penelope’s mischievous smirk she would only get whenever she had expertly set me up with someone when we were out at a bar or a party.
“Y/N/N, this is my wonderful colleague and resident genius, Spencer Reid. Reid, this is my almost-as-sexy-and-smart-as-me best friend, y/n y/l/n,” she introduced us as the guy – Spencer – retracted his hands from my shoulders, convinced I was steady enough on my feet.
He offered me a smile that nearly wiped me off my feet again. “Hi, nice to meet you.”
My lips curled into a smile that mirrored his. He didn’t offer his hand to shake, so I decided not to offer mine, either. “Ditto, Spencer,” I said instead, unable to tear my eyes away from his.
“Okay,” Penelope then interrupted, “Enough chit-chat. We gotta go!” As I managed a quick wave at Spencer, my best friend pulled me along to her office where we settled behind her computer screens. While she explained how her system worked, my mind involuntarily drifted off to the disarming genius I met in the hallway.
For hours, Penelope and I worked on the case together, taking turns in getting drinks and food to keep us nutritioned. We were discussing a list of potential UnSubs after we had finished our lunch and I was chewing on the straw of my Sprite when Spencer burst into the room.
“Garcia, y/l/n, I’ve got something to narrow the search,” he said, causing my heart to flutter at how my last name sounded from his lips. He leaned between us, placing a piece of paper on the desk. His stomach was pressed against my shoulder whilst his arm brushed mine.
A chill ran down my spine, but I remained poised, trying to be professional. “Those are the places he went to in the last twenty-four hours?” I asked, deducting the theory from the map in front of me.
Spencer had drawn lines across the map, connecting at least five dots. “Uh-huh,” he hummed, then leaned in closer, his face right next to mine. “We were able to get these locations from the GPS of the rental car he used and ditched at the last murder site.”
His breath felt hot against my skin, but it didn’t stop me from starting to tap away on the keyboard, trying to find any CCTV footage from any of the establishments in the neighborhood of those locations. Within seconds, I’d found some footage from a service station where the UnSub was seen leaving the shop.
“Was this what you needed?” I asked sassily and turned my head to look at him. He was a lot closer than I anticipated him to be, my nose nearly grazed his cheek. Even up close he was pretty.
He stood up straight again, much to my dismay, and offered me a shy smile. “Only if you can give me a name, too,” he told me.
Raising my eyebrows challengingly, I turned back to the computer and ran the footage through Penelope’s software. Within seconds, I found a name, his age and address, which was someone on the list of suspects Penelope and I had been looking at for the past ten minutes.
“Can you send that to the team?” he asked as he took out his phone, already dialing one of the team’s numbers.
“Already did, pretty boy,” I smirked and watched as he walked away with a quick ‘thank you’ thrown over his shoulder towards us. When I turned back to Penelope, she looked at me with that teasing look she would only ever give me when she was about to give me shit. “What?” I asked.
“Nothing,” she sang, though her face said something else entirely.
I didn’t feel like getting into it. It wasn’t like I was going to see Spencer again. This was a one-time thing. Or at least, that was what I thought. It wasn’t until Penelope called me two weeks later with the same request. Even then I managed to stay somewhat professional around Spencer.
But they didn’t leave it at two times. At least five more cases, I was asked to help Penelope out on. It didn’t bother me, at all. In fact, I actually enjoyed helping the BAU team on their cases. It gave me the opportunity to work together with my very best friend as well as secretly flirt with the young doctor. And, you know, learn something new and everything.
Every time I saw him, I could just imagine him pushing me against a wall and kissing me senseless. Every brush of the arm, every longing gaze we directed to one another. It all drove me completely insane, but there was not much I could do about it but sit back and act as professional as I possibly could.
When we finished case number five, I was packing up my stuff and exited Penelope’s lair. My mind was still racing with the images I had seen about this gruesome case, but all of it seemingly cleared up when my eyes landed on the person standing at the very end of the hallway.
“Oh, hi, Spencer,” I greeted with a smile as I approached him.
He offered me that same knee-buckling smile. “Hi, y/n. I wanted to-uh, I wanted to check up on you. See if you were doing all right?”
I wanted to push him against the wall and kiss his jaw. That man was the most considerate person alive and it was absolutely turning me on. Coughing, I recomposed myself. I couldn’t act upon these feelings building inside of me.
“I am,” I said. “Though, I got to admit, this last case was a whole lot more brutal than the previous ones I helped on. It’s gonna haunt me for days.” I let out a chuckle, taking my eyes off him for a second.
Spencer hummed. “Yeah, it, uh, it takes a while to get used to it.”
“Do you ever get used to that?”
Chuckling, Spencer shook his head. “No, not really…”
A chuckle rolled off my lips too and for a moment, the two of us fell silent. It was a comfortable silence with the two of us just gazing into each other’s eyes as if we were under a spell. I knew that if I didn’t break eye contact, I would actually kiss him.
“I, uh, I’m gonna go home,” I told him and finally tore my gaze off him.
“Right,” he mumbled and turned towards the elevator. “You-uh, you want me to walk you to your car?”
Eyes widening, I almost immediately let out a sharp, “No!” The moment he and I would’ve stepped out together, I would’ve jumped his bones. I coughed to recompose myself again. “No, I’m okay,” I repeated, softer this time.
“Oh, okay,” Spencer nodded and stepped aside. “Well, I’ll, uh… I’ll see you another time then?”
I offered him a smile. “Yeah, see you next time.”
From the second I left the BAU, Spencer occupied my mind for the foreseeable future. Every corner I turned, every meal I had, every day I worked at my regular day job at the Capitol,... Spencer had taken over my mind and every fiber of my being.
It had been a good week since I had last seen the BAU team, since I had last spoken to Spencer. I couldn’t focus at all. He was all I could think about to the point where I couldn’t even properly function. I had to do something about it. Even if it was just getting that feeling of frustration off my chest.
That was why I had marched my way over to the BAU, went through the protocol at FBI security and clipped on my Visitor’s badge before trudging down to Penelope’s lair where I burst through the door without even knocking. She had given me the code to get in, so I didn’t have to knock.
“Y/N? What are you–”
I ignored her and plopped down on the sofa with a groan. “I don’t know what to do anymore, Penny,” I told her defeatedly, resting my head back against the back of the sofa and looking up at the ceiling.
“About what?” she asked.
“Spencer, of course.” I didn’t catch Penelope’s wide-eyed look as I continued my tirade. “Unfortunately, I need him in a way that will defy the laws of space and time and set feminism back seventy years.” Rubbing my hands over my face, I rolled my head back to look at my best friend, who hadn’t given her unsolicited opinion immediately like she always did.
That was when I saw the look of horror on her face. “Sugar plum,” she started, “Don’t be mad but…” My eyes landed on the device with the blinking red light behind her. She had been on a call and I could all but guess who was on that call.
“No,” I muttered, my heart plummeting to my stomach and my cheeks heating up in embarrassment. “Don’t tell me –”
Penelope pressed a button, putting her coworkers on speaker rather than through her headset. All I could hear was Derek’s and Emily’s giggles. “Wow, y/n,” came JJ’s voice, a bemused lilt in her tone. “I did not expect that coming from you.”
I squeezed my eyes shut before rushing forward and pressing what I thought to be the mute button. “Why didn’t you mute us as soon as I came in?” I asked before starting to pace the length of the room, but didn’t give Penelope the chance to answer. “Now everyone knows and to make it all worse – Spencer now knows.”
“Oh, mama, it’s not like we didn’t already know,” came Morgan’s voice through hiccups of laughter.
“PENELOPE!” I screeched, realizing I hadn’t pressed the right button.
With a simple shrug, Penelope turned to me. “Maybe it’s not so bad?” she tried and I just groaned in frustration before turning on my heel and leaving her lair. Now I had to debate whether to wait for Spencer to come back and explain everything to him or to just go home and never show my face here again.
There wasn’t much of a chance for me to think about it because the team quickly filed back into the offices. As soon as my eyes landed on Spencer, I froze. Our eyes met and I could tell he wanted to tell me something, but there was a serial bomber to catch. Rather than leaving and going home, I decided to stick around and help Penelope.
But before I could head over to Penelope’s lair, it was impossible to avoid the other’s relentless comments. Through a sea of giggles and quoting of what I had said to Penelope in confidence, I made my way through the bullpen, rolling my eyes.
“I’m gonna get a cup of tea,” I told Penelope, getting up from my seat in her lair. “You want one?”
“Yes, please, sugar,” she answered without taking her eyes off her screen.
With a chuckle, I left the office and made my way to the break room where I put on the kettle for two cups of tea. While I busied myself picking out a flavor, my mind drifted off to what I could possibly say to Spencer if I ever got the chance.
“Oh,” I heard the mumble behind me and when I turned around, I found Spencer in the doorway. “Hi.” He smiled a little awkwardly before making his way to the coffee pot.
I returned the gesture. “Hi.”
My eyes were trained on him while he poured the coffee and scribbled something down on a notepad beside him. My mind filtered through every possible word combination possible. I was so distracted, the click of the kettle turning off startled me.
As I poured the hot water into two cups, Spencer placed a folded piece of paper in front of me on the counter and scurried away before I could possibly react. Curiosity rising within me, I unfolded the piece of paper, only to find “Meet me tonight” written in his scrawny handwriting.
“That’s not vague at all,” I scoffed before pocketing it and continuing making the tea. Once the teabags were in, I made my way back to Penelope’s office, but not without one last glance at Spencer in the bullpen. Together with Derek and Emily, he was bent over a file on Emily’s desk.
He seemingly felt my eyes on him as he, too, looked at me. Feeling my cheeks heat up underneath his gaze, I quickly looked away and rushed towards my best friend. I leaned my back against the door as soon as I shut it, trying to catch my breath.
“What’s gotten into you, pumpkin?” Penelope asked when she saw the state of me.
I chuckled and rolled my eyes, annoyed at myself that I let a man make me feel this way. “Not Spencer, unfortunately.” My best friend let out a loud cackle. “He gave me this note–” I placed her octopus mug in front of her before handing her the note.
“That’s vague,” she mumbled, her brows furrowed.
“Exactly what I thought,” I grumbled. “He was gone before I could even ask.”
Penelope tsked before patting the chair that had been mine for the last couple of weeks. With a sigh, I plopped down carefully so as to not spill my hot tea. For the next hour, I tried to focus on the case more than on Spencer and what I was going to say to him.
However, it was hard not to think about him.
So, once the case was wrapped up, I packed up my stuff and went out to the hall where Spencer had waited for me merely a week ago. I didn’t even bother to say goodbye to Penelope as I would be seeing her soon anyway and she knew I had to do what I had to do.
It took a couple of minutes before Spencer walked out of the bullpen, eyes focused on the phone in his hand.
“‘Meet me tonight’?” I asked, capturing his attention. His honey eyes met mine, his lips twitching into a smile. “Could you be any more vague?”
“Sorry,” he chuckled and chucked his phone into his pocket again. “I just–” he sighed, unable to finish his sentence. Another soft laugh rolled off his lips as he looked down to the squeaky-clean floor of the FBI Headquarters. He looked back up at me, his eyes tender and searching for something I didn’t even know.
“What?”
Not even bothering to answer my question, Spencer grabbed my hand and tugged me into the closest room, which happened to be the family room. As soon as the door was shut, he pushed me against the wall by kissing me, his hands on my hips to hold me in place.
“Does this set feminism back seventy years?” he asked between kisses to my lips and jaw.
My toes curled and my stomach fluttered. This was all I had been dreaming of ever since I met him that first day. I had wanted him flush against me, fingers tangling up in my hair and his tongue warm against mine.
“No,” I breathed while he worked his way down my neck in open-mouthed kisses. “But it does defy the laws of space and time.”
The words seemingly set something animalistically off in Spencer as his kisses became hungrier and his hands roamed my body in ways I had never been touched before. He gave me enough to brag to Penelope about the next day.
He gave me everything I had been dreaming of.

summary: you’re a very sleep-deprived insomniac, your boyfriend has to deal with it.
tags: established relationship, sleepy cuddles, fluff, sleepy! johnny, short fic, totally not self indulgent because i can’t sleep rn
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
YOU HUFF LAZILY as you lay awake in your lover’s arms. Insomnia sucked. That’s all you could think in the moment. Johnny, your beloved boyfriend, was half asleep, breathing slow and steady as his muscled arms engulf you, keeping you close to his chest. Slowly, you blink, trying to ease yourself into sleep- yet it never comes. “Johnny, baby.” You mumble, shaking him gently. “Mhhm..” his brows furrow as he pushes his face against the top of your head. “Baby, talk to me.” You whine, voice still quiet as you tap his side. “Wha’s wrong..?” He slurs out, Scottish accent thick with sleep. “Can’t sleep.” You respond, tangling your legs between his as you shuffle even closer. Johnny let’s out a soft noise, kissing your forehead. “What’dya wanna talk about, love?” He questions, eyes barely open.
“Anything. Just wanna sleep.” You sigh, squeezing your boyfriend a little tighter. “Okay…” Johnny exhales slowly, his breath hits your face gently. Seconds soon turn to minutes, and you realise Johnny’s dozing off again. You smile a little, kissing his lips gently. Your boyfriend hums, kissing back lazily as he nuzzles closer. You stay silent for a little while, hand rubbing his back as you ponder about anything to talk about. “Baby,” you begin, listening to him hum in acknowledgement. “Would you rather… kiss a hundred frogs, or never kiss me again?” You question, watching his brows furrow. “Wha..?” He asks, exhaling slowly after. “Kiss a hundred frogs, or never kiss me again, choose one.” You smile at his confused expression. “Kiss a hundred frogs.” He mutters after a beat of silence. “Aw.” You croon, kissing him gently. “Okay, lover boy. Would you rather…” you trail off, thinking for a moment. “Quit your job or… quit nights out?” You smile, knowing he’d have a tricky time answering that one considering he loved both. “Oof… uh, quit nights out?” Johnny responds, voice more quiet as he’s still tired. “Your turn.” You nudge him gently, watching him swipe at his eyes before blinking a few times to look at you.
“Alright…” he responds, looking around your shared room in the base for anything to provide inspiration. “Would you rather not cure your insomnia, or sleep for a hundred years?” He asks teasingly. “Hmm… so if I chose to not cure my insomnia I be able to see you?” You ask, he nods a little; cheeky smile on his lips. “Hmm… then i’d have to not cure my insomnia. I wouldn’t want to be in a cruel, boyfriend-less world.” You giggle, kissing him. “Alright, alright.” Johnny nods, adjusting his hold on you. “Would you rather… eat Gaz’s cooking, or eat four bugs of your choice?” He asks, that grin spreading even more. “Oh, I’d eat Gaz’s cooking, I wouldn’t be able to eat bugs.” You laugh, he nods. “Fair enough, but i’d take the bugs just to be safe.” He jokes, sharing a laugh with you.
A few moments of silence pass by, you’re trying to see if you can sleep easier, yet no matter how hard you tried; you couldn’t. “Johnny.” You pat his back once more. “Yeah, baby?” He responds, voice much more sleepy now. “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” You smile, kissing his cheek. “A worm?” He repeats, brows knitting together. “Yeah, a worm.” You nod, pushing your face into his neck. “Like one that lives in the dirt or a different type of worm?” Johnny asks you, you laugh. “What other types of worms are there? Yes, a dirt-dwelling worm.” You respond, fingers massaging his back. “Hmm… it’d be tough but, yeah. I’d still love you, as long as you still knew it was me.” Johnny nods, arms squeezing you more firmly. “Would you fight all the other worms for me?” You giggle softly, hand slipping under his shirt so your fingertips could trace lines up and down his back.
“I’d fight all the worms for you, baby.” Johnny yawns, kissing your ear gently. “I’d fight people for you. I’d kick ass as a worm.” You respond, listening to a chuckle rumble through your boyfriend’s chest. Slowly, you begin to yawn, sleep finally beginning to pull at you. “You’d be a very badass worm, love. I’d get you a little helmet and vest so you could come with on missions.” Johnny smiles, moving your leg over his hip to cradle you closer. “Sweet.” You grin, leaning your weight against your boyfriend as your eyes finally begin to close. “Dozing off?” He asks, tone sweet. “Mhm… thanks, baby.” You respond, hand slowly stopping upon Johnny’s back as you grow more and more sleepy. “Of course, love.” He replies, kissing your head. “Love you, Johnny.” You purr, smiling sweetly as he takes a soft breath. “I love you more, even if you were a worm.”

I will always protect you.
Summary: One promise, and three times Kaz kept it.
Warnings: Mentions of child abuse, mentions of alcoholism, mention of alcoholic tendencies, underage drinking. Bruises, blood, stabbing, violence. Usual SOC stuff. And a little bit of ooc kaz.
Notes: Their ages go; first, 4 and 5, then, 13 and 14, after that, 15 and 16, and lastly 18 and 19. With Kaz being the oldest of the two. Also, I don’t know how little kids talk, so I tried to express their age more with actions.
THE PROMISE:
Kaz Brekker, a mischievous five-year-old boy with jet-black hair and sharp blue eyes, found himself running through the bustling streets of Lij. He was on his way to buy candy from his favorite stall when, by chance, he collided with a four-year-old girl. She had bright, curious eyes and a mischievous grin of her own.
"Oof! Sorry," Kaz muttered, rubbing his arm where he bumped into Y/N. The girl giggled and brushed herself off. "It's okay. Are you hurt?"
"Nah, I'm tough," Kaz replied, puffing out his chest. "What's your name?"
"I'm Y/N," she replied with a small curtsy. "What's yours?"
"Kaz," he answered, a sly smile forming on his lips. "You wanna come with me? I'm going to buy some candy." Y/N's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes, please! I love candy!"
Hand in hand, they ventured through the vibrant market, their laughter echoing through the air. They marveled at the colorful stalls, the fragrant spices, and the musicians playing lively tunes.
"Look, Y/N, that stall has lollipops!" Kaz pointed, pulling her toward a display of rainbow-colored sweets.
Y/N's eyes sparkled as she picked a blue lolly. "You think we can eat them all?" To the question, Kaz grinned mischievously. "Duh!"
They spent the day running from one stall to another, devouring candy and experiencing the wonders of Lij. They laughed, spun in circles, and created their own little adventures.
As the sun began to set, Kaz and Y/N found themselves sitting on a park bench, exhausted and with a tummy ache but happy.
"Y/N, I think you're my best friend," Kaz said, leaning against her shoulder. Y/N smiled warmly. "And you mine, Kaz. Forever."
After their delightful day in Lij, Kaz and Y/N couldn't bear the thought of being apart. They made a pact to meet at the same spot where they had bumped into each other every single day. And true to their word, they showed up without fail, ready for more adventures.
Their daily escapades were filled with laughter and endless games. They chased each other through the winding streets, played hide-and-seek among the market stalls, and invented new imaginary worlds where they were heroes saving the day.
Sometimes, Kaz would take Y/N to his family's farm on the outskirts of town. With excitement bubbling inside, Y/N met Kaz's older brother, Jordie, who always had a playful smirk on his face. And there was Kaz's father, a strong and kind man who welcomed Y/N with open arms.
Together, the duo explored the vast fields, chasing butterflies, and picking wildflowers. Kaz and Y/N would compete to see who could climb the tallest tree, giggling with delight at their friendly rivalry. They would visit the animals, feeding the chickens and petting the gentle horses.
As time passed, their bond grew stronger, and their adventures became even more extraordinary. They braved make-believe battles against fearsome dragons, crafted secret hideouts with blankets and pillows, and dreamed of grand expeditions to faraway lands.
One sunny afternoon, as Kaz and Y/N sat on their favorite park bench with nothing better to do, Kaz turned to her with a curious expression. "Y/N, can I come to your house today? I want to see where you live."
Y/N hesitated for a moment before shaking her head gently. "I'm sorry, Kaz. Maybe another time."
Kaz furrowed his brow, not entirely understanding why Y/N didn't want him to visit her home. "Awe, but why not?"
Y/N glanced down, her voice softening. "It's just- my da... he can be a little mean sometimes."
Kaz tilted his head, still not comprehending the depth of the situation. "What do you mean, mean? Like he doesn't let you have candy?"
Y/N's eyes filled with a mix of sadness and fear. "Sort of, yeah- it's hard to explain."
Kaz could sense Y/N's discomfort, and he didn't want to press her further if it made her uneasy. He reached out and squeezed her hand gently. "It's okay, maybe some other day?"
Y/N's expression softened, grateful for Kaz's understanding. She gave him a small smile and leaned against his shoulder. "Maybe."
Kaz smiled back, reassuring her with his presence. He knew that sometimes people had difficulties, and what mattered most was supporting each other through it all, even if Y/N's home remained a mystery to Kaz for the time being.
After a while of some more talking, y/n glanced at her old pocket watch, eye’s widening when she saw the time. “Uh oh. I need to go Kaz.” hurriedly, she stood up from her previous spot, putting her watch back in its place. While she ran as fast as her little legs could, she heard her name being called by Kaz “See you tomorrow?” Without stopping or looking back she yelled “Duh!” and just like that, she was out of Kaz’s sight.
The following day, Kaz waited in their usual meeting spot for hours, but Y/N never showed up. Feeling a mix of disappointment, he eventually headed home to find his older brother Jordie.
“Jordie, something’s wrong,” Kaz exclaimed as he entered the house. “Y/N didn’t come today. I think she doesn’t want to be friends anymore.”
Jordie chuckled softly, trying to ease Kaz’s concerns. “Come on, Kaz. Y/N wouldn’t just ditch you like that. Maybe she had something important to do.”
Kaz sighed, still uncertain. “But she always keeps her promises. I think it’s because I asked to go to her house. Maybe I pushed too much.”
Jordie’s expression shifted, a hint of unease crossing his face. “What did she say, Kaz? Why couldn’t you go to her house?”
Kaz shrugged, oblivious to Jordie’s uneasiness. “Y/N just said her da is not very nice sometimes.” Jordie’s eyes narrowed slightly, concern deepening. “She even mentioned he doesn’t let her have candy! Can you believe that?” Jordie listened attentively to Kaz’s concerns, his worry growing with each word. He understood the weight of Kaz’s words about Y/N’s father but decided not to mention it directly to Kaz, wanting to shield him from unnecessary distress.
“Kaz, I understand that you’re worried,” Jordie said with a reassuring smile. “But trust me, Y/N is still your best friend. Sometimes things come up, and she might have had something important to take care of. Don’t jump to conclusions just yet.”
Kaz nodded, albeit still a bit unconvinced. “I guess you’re right, Jordie. I just miss her, that’s all.” Jordie gave Kaz a kind smile and patted his back lovingly “Also, you’re not supposed to be eating candy either, mister.”
One day turned into three, and although Jordie kept his worries about Y/N’s situation to himself, he couldn’t shake off the unease. He watched Kaz’s hopeful eyes and felt a sense of responsibility to protect his little brother’s innocence.
Days after, as Kaz sat at their usual meeting spot, the weight of worry had settled upon him. But this time, his anticipation shifted into sheer surprise as Y/N appeared, offering an apologetic smile.
Kaz’s eyes widened as he saw Y/N approaching, and he jumped up with excitement. “Y/N! You’re here! I missed you so much! Where have you been?”
Y/N’s smile flickered, and she looked down sheepishly. “Sorry, Kaz. I had important stuff to do. But I’m done now and I brought you a lolly!”
Kaz’s joy quickly turned to concern as he noticed the bruises on Y/N’s face and body. He furrowed his brow and asked, “What happened? You fall down?”
Y/N’s eyes filled with tears, and she shook her head. “I’m not really allowed to talk about it.”
Kaz’s protective instincts kicked in, and he thought for a moment. “Well, my da is really good at fixing things. Maybe he can help you. Would you like that?” Y/N hesitated but nodded.
Hand in hand, Kaz and Y/N made their way to Kaz’s farm, a sense of determination guiding Kaz’s steps. They arrived at the farm, and Kaz’s father greeted them warmly.
“Da, Y/N has some little cuts and bruises,” Kaz explained, concern evident in his voice. “Can you help?”
Kaz’s father knelt down, examining Y/N’s injuries with a gentle touch. “What happened?” he questioned hoping for an answer, sadly, he got the same response as Kaz. “I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
Once Kaz’s father finished cleaning up Y/N’s wounds, he sat down with a concerned expression on his face. “Honey, I understand that you can’t talk about it, but I want you to know that you’re safe here. No one will find out, and Kaz and I will keep this as our secret. Won’t we, Kaz?” The boy eagerly nodded.
Y/N hesitated, looking at Kaz’s dad with a mix of uncertainty and vulnerability. Slowly, she mustered the courage to speak. “My ma and da are both sick.”
Kaz’s dad nodded, encouraging her to continue. “Can you tell me more about it, Y/N?”
Y/N took a deep breath, her voice trembling. “Sometimes… sometimes they talk really weird, and they walk funny.” She paused for a second to look at Kaz’s confused face. “They sleep a lot too.”
Kaz’s dad’s face softened with understanding. “They’re alcoholics?”
Y/N looked puzzled, not fully comprehending the question being made. Kaz’s dad continued, trying his best to explain in a way that a young child could understand. “Sometimes, some people enjoy something that’s not good for them, like drinking too much alcohol. It can make them act differently and cause them to hurt themselves and others.”
Y/N’s eyes widened, realizing that Kaz’s dad understood the situation better than she expected. Encouraged by his empathy, she opened up a little more. “My da is really mean to me sometimes.”
Kaz’s dad’s expression turned solemn, and he pulled Y/N into a comforting hug. “I’m so sorry to hear that, Y/N. No one should ever be mean to you. You’re a kind and wonderful girl.”
Y/N fought back tears, feeling the warmth of Kaz’s dad’s embrace and the reassurance in his words. As he wiped away her tears, he gently asked, “Would you like to have a sleepover here tonight?”
At first, Y/N hesitated, worried about the potential consequences. “I should be on my way home before my dad gets angry at me.” she whispered.
Kaz’s dad gently took her hand and looked into her eyes with kindness. “You don’t have to worry about that here. I’ll talk to him, how’s that sound?”
Slowly, she nodded, finally letting herself accept the care and compassion offered to her. “Okay, I’ll stay.”
Kaz was thrilled to have Y/N stay for a sleepover, knowing they would get to spend more time together than ever before. He took her hand and led her up to his room, eager to show her all his new toys.
Hours passed as they laughed, played, and let their imaginations run wild. Kaz's room became a world of adventure, filled with shared stories and cherished moments.
But as the evening grew late, Kaz remembered he needed to say goodnight to his dad and Jordie. He quietly made his way downstairs, hoping to bid them farewell before returning to his room with Y/N. Just as he was about to reach the main living area, he overheard his father and Jordie having a conversation in hushed tones.
Curiosity got the better of him, and Kaz leaned closer, eavesdropping on their words. His heart sinking as he heard his da say, "Her father hits her."
Shock and anger coursed through Kaz's young veins. He couldn't fathom why someone would hurt Y/N, his dear friend. Without hesitation, he quickly said goodnight to his father and Jordie, a mix of determination and concern etched on his face.
Hurrying back to his room, he found Y/N, already lying down in her makeshift bed, waiting for him. He approached her gently, placing a tender kiss on her forehead. “I will always protect you, Y/n.”
FIRST TIME:
Recently, Kaz had suffered a broken leg, rendering him immobile and dependent on Y/N’s support. Determined to alleviate their hunger, Y/N made a solemn promise. “Don’t worry, Kaz. I’ll find us food. Your job is to rest and heal.”
With a sense of purpose, Y/N embarked on a risky endeavor to steal from those they deemed as “rich assholes.” It was a desperate act born out of necessity, driven by the dire circumstances they found themselves in. Little did Y/N know that Kaz, the restless boy he always was, had decided to secretly follow her.
Kaz hobbled along with a mixture of determination and worry. He understood the risks involved, but his loyalty and protective nature urged him to be by Y/N’s side. He remained hidden, his eyes fixed on his friend’s movements, marveling at her agility and resourcefulness.
Y/N, driven by desperation, resorted to pickpocketing in an attempt to secure food for both her and Kaz. If she was lucky, she could get more money than she would by working for the dregs for a week. She managed to successfully lift money from three unsuspecting individuals, but on her fourth attempt, her lack of experience betrayed her. The merchant she targeted noticed her actions and seized her wrist forcefully, yanking her forward while unleashing a torrent of anger.
“You little thief! Trying to steal from me, huh?” Y/N struggled to break free, her heart pounding in her chest. However, the merchant’s grip only tightened, preventing her escape. “I won’t let you get away with it!” Fear gripped her, and tears welled up in her eyes as she braced herself for the consequences of her actions.
Just as the merchant leaned in, ready to strike, Kaz, fueled by a surge of protective instinct, launched himself at the man, tackling him to the ground even though the pain in his leg was killing him.
“Leave her alone! Don’t you dare touch her!” The sudden attack caught the merchant off guard, giving Y/N a precious moment to pull away from his grasp. She stumbled backward, tears streaming down her face, but relief washed over her as Kaz shielded her from harm.
Kaz stood defiantly, his eyes blazing with determination. He wouldn’t allow anyone to harm Y/N, not while he was there to protect her. “You better stay away from us, or else you’ll regret it!” With that warning, Kaz extended a hand to Y/N, offering her support. She grasped his hand, her fingers trembling, and together they quickly retreated from the scene, their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and relief.
With their stomachs growling, Kaz and Y/N made their way to the bakery. Y/N’s heart raced, but luck was on their side for what seemed to be the first time in a long while. The stolen money she had managed to gather before getting caught was just enough to buy a loaf of bread, some meat, and cheese for Kaz.
As they walked back to their dilapidated “home,” a sense of relief washed over them. Amidst the worn-down buildings and bustling streets, Y/N’s eyes caught sight of a discarded cane. Acting swiftly, she snatched it, ensuring no one would notice its absence.
As Y/N handed the cane to Kaz, a mischievous glint danced in her eyes. Kaz accepted it with gratitude, but when he instinctively positioned it on the wrong side, Y/N couldn’t help but giggle.
“No, silly,” Y/N chuckled, gently correcting him. “The cane goes on the hand opposite the side that needs support.”
Kaz’s brows furrowed, momentarily perplexed, but he quickly adjusted the cane to the correct side, a sheepish smile forming on his face. “Oh yeah, that’s way better.”
“Thanks for saving my ass back there, Kaz” Struggling to match his steps with the cane, Kaz looked at her, “I will always protect you, Y/N,” he replied, his voice filled with sincerity.
SECOND TIME:
As Y/N turned 15 and Kaz reached 16, their lives continued to be a challenging dance with fate. However, a troubling change began to surface in Y/N’s behavior. Kaz noticed that she was increasingly reliant on alcohol, far beyond their occasional shared glass after a long day at Fifth Harbor.
It became apparent to Kaz that he rarely saw Y/N completely sober. Though she fluctuated between tipsy and heavily intoxicated, the presence of sobriety seemed to elude her. Concern etched across Kaz’s face as he observed the toll alcohol was taking on his dear friend.
He approached her room, where y/n was nursing a drink, and gently voiced his concerns. “You’ve been drinking a lot lately.” Y/n, defensive and caught off guard, shrugged it off with a dismissive tone. “Pff, come on, Kaz, ‘m just having fun. What’s the big deal?”
Kaz’s expression grew serious as he responded, “It’s not just about having fun anymore, y/n. It’s becoming a problem. Both your parents were alcoholics, and that makes it more likely for you to become one too.” He didn’t intend to bring back ugly memories, he just wanted Y/n back. His Y/n.
“Oh, so now you think ‘m like the asshole of a father I had? ‘s that what you’re saying?” But alas, luck was never really on his side, was it? Kaz hurried to explain, “No, y/n, that’s not what I meant. I’m just worried-“ But y/n was too defensive to listen. Her voice rose, and she interrupted him, “Just leave me alone, Kaz!”
Frustration built up within Kaz as he struggled to make his point. “I’m trying to help you, y/n! Can’t you see that?“
“I don’t need your help!
Their voices grew louder as the argument intensified. Hurtful words were exchanged, both knowing deep down that they didn’t mean them. In the heat of the moment, y/n’s drunken state led to a physical outburst - a push against Kaz. Stunned by the shove, Kaz felt a mix of anger and disappointment. He looked y/n in the eyes, his voice laced with bitterness. “Maybe you’re more like your father than you think.”
With those words hanging in the air, Kaz turned and walked out of y/n’s room, slamming the door behind him. The silence that followed was heavy with regret and realization.
Y/n, now alone, gradually started to comprehend the gravity of her actions. She felt a rush of memories flooding back - memories of her father’s destructive behavior and the pain it caused. The weight of her actions settled in, “Saints!”
Seeking clarity, y/n decided to take a cold shower, hoping it would sober her up both physically and mentally. As the cold water washed away the haze, she reflected on the hurtful things she had said and done. A couple of hours later, feeling completely sober, y/n mustered the courage to approach Kaz’s door.
Kaz opened the door, his face still wearing a frown, unsure of what to expect. Y/n took a deep breath and asked, “Can I come in?”
Hesitant, Kaz nodded and let y/n into his room. The atmosphere was tense, but y/n was determined to make amends. With a shaky voice, she spoke, “I’m completely sober now, Kaz.”
Kaz’s expression softened, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. He nodded and replied, “Good.” Feeling the weight of her actions, y/n continued, “I never intended for it to go that far, Kaz” her voice filled with remorse. Kaz sighed and took a seat on his bed, ready to lend a listening ear. He understood that y/n needed to talk, to find a way to make sense of the chaos that had unfolded.
With a deep breath, y/n continued, “I don’t even know when it started or how it got to this point. The need for a drink just became so overwhelming, and I couldn’t seem to stop myself.”
Kaz listened attentively, his eyes fixed on y/n, offering support without judgment. They spent hours talking, unraveling the underlying reasons for y/n’s struggle with alcohol and exploring the pain and insecurities that fueled it.
As y/n poured out her heart, Kaz remained by her side, offering guidance and understanding. He didn’t have all the answers, but he knew the importance of being there for y/n during this difficult time. He could see the genuine remorse and determination in her eyes.
With a sense of gratitude, y/n said, “Thanks for always being there, Kaz.” Kaz’s gaze softened, and he replied sincerely, “I will always protect you, y/n.” He reached a shaky hand out to her, “Even if it is from yourself.”
THIRD TIME:
The crows and their stupid heists. Y/N and Kaz sat together in Kaz's office, surrounded by the other members of the crows. The air was filled with anticipation as they discussed their latest heist to steal a valuable pocket watch, rumored to be worth a fortune in Kruge. The details of how Kaz had stumbled upon this job remained a mystery to the crows, except for Y/N, who knew it came from a whisper Kaz had overheard in the bustling streets of Ketterdam.
The heist was no easy task, but it also didn't compare to the complexity of their other endeavors- like breaking Matthias out of the notorious Ice Court. This realization brought a sense of confidence to the group, as they knew they had faced greater challenges and emerged victorious. As the planning session drew to a close, the crows dispersed, leaving Y/N alone with Kaz.
Y/N took a seat opposite Kaz, her expression filled with concern. Kaz, ever the enigma, raised an eyebrow and prompted her to share what troubled her. With a deep breath, Y/N spoke up, voicing her worry about the people of Ketterdam and their reliability. She confessed her doubts about trusting anyone in this city, especially considering the clandestine nature of the whisper that led them to the heist.
Kaz couldn't help but let out an amused laugh, breaking the tension in the room. He understood Y/N's concerns all too well. After all, his experiences had taught him that trust was a rare and precious commodity in Ketterdam. But he also recognized the inherent irony in the situation—that the whisper, despite its uncertain source, had provided them with a valuable opportunity.
"You're right, Y/N," Kaz replied, a hint of amusement lacing his words. "People in Ketterdam are not worth trusting, or at least not easily. But this whisper most likely came from some drunk idiot who couldn't keep his mouth shut. We'll tread carefully, as always."
Y/N nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. She trusted Kaz. She always has. Knowing that his keen intuition and meticulous planning would guide them through the heist. “Are you sure you are ok with taking the pocket watch with you for a couple days until I figure out what to do with it?” With renewed assurance she nodded and they set their sights on the task at hand.
As the day turned into night, the crows meticulously executed their plan. Each member played their part flawlessly, their individual skills and unique abilities synergizing to overcome the obstacles in their path. Their heist was a masterclass in cunning and precision, culminating in the successful acquisition of the pocket watch. Little did they know, however, that their triumph held a secret yet to be discovered.
Unbeknownst to Kaz and Y/N, the whisper did not come from just any drunk idiot, it came from y/n’s father and the pocket watch they proudly took, concealed a hidden tracker. It had been planted there by Y/N's own father—a revelation that would soon shake their world.
After the celebration ended, Y/N bid her comrades farewell and made her way back to her apartment, yearning for a well-deserved rest. Fatigue hung heavily upon her, demanding solace in the form of warmth and comfort. She set about preparing herself a cup of tea, the steam from the kettle rising lazily in the air. While waiting she decided that she had enough time for a much needed quick shower.
Unbeknownst to Y/N, her father, driven by a sinister agenda, had stealthily infiltrated her sanctuary. Hidden in the shadows, he seized the opportunity presented by the teapot, meticulously applying a deadly poison to the water within. Satisfied with his clandestine act, he retreated to a darkened corner, waiting for his daughter to return.
Blissfully unaware of the peril lurking within her own abode, Y/N continued her routine, seeking solace in the embrace of a soothing shower. The cascading water served as a respite, washing away the weariness of the day. Refreshed and unaware of the impending danger, Y/N emerged from the bathroom and made her way to the small kitchen, intending to savor the warmth of her tea.
With unquestioning trust, Y/N raised the cup to her lips and drained its contents in a single gulp. A moment later, a chilling voice pierced the silence, causing her to startle. "You know, you ruined my life," the intruder uttered, the words dripping with venom. Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as she realized she was not alone.
Reacting swiftly, a mixture of fear and determination coursed through her veins. She instinctively reached for a kitchen knife, her trembling hand clutching the handle tightly. Slowly and cautiously, she advanced toward the shadowy figure, her senses heightened.
As the figure laughed, the sinister sound echoing in the confined space, they taunted Y/N with words that struck like daggers. "Kill me if you'd like. It won't make a difference, by the end of the night, we both will be dead, dear daughter," they proclaimed, their voice seeping with a sinister resolve.
Y/N's mind raced, grappling with a flood of emotions. Fear mingled with confusion, but beneath it all, a fierce determination flickered. With every step, she steeled herself, ready to confront the threat that now loomed before her. The room became a battlefield, a clash of wills between a daughter seeking to protect herself and the malevolent force that sought to extinguish her existence.
As Y/N launched herself forward, driven by a potent mix of rage and self-preservation, her hand gripped the kitchen knife with a determination that bordered on desperation. With a swift and deliberate motion, she aimed for her father's abdomen, piercing his flesh and eliciting a pained gasp. Yet, even in his moment of agony, he mustered a twisted laugh, taunting her with the knowledge that her own life was destined to be cut short because of him.
The realization of her impending fate weighed heavily upon Y/N as she watched her father's life slip away. With each fading breath, he served as a macabre reminder of the torment he had inflicted upon her. But despite the finality of his demise, Y/N's heart remained heavy, burdened by the understanding that her own days were now numbered.
Her eyes fell upon her father's lifeless form, his body growing cold as the minutes ticked away. In a hurried gesture, Y/N searched his pockets, her hands moving with urgency. Her search led her to an empty glass, bearing the traces of the poison that had claimed so many lives before. She knew its deadly effects all too well, having witnessed its aftermath firsthand. There was no salvation for her now, only a slim chance of surviving until morning.
Driven by a sense of urgency, Y/N hurriedly descended to the dimly lit streets of Ketterdam. Amid the shadows, she spotted Rotty, a trusted member of the crew. With a sense of urgency, she thrust a note into his hands, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and determination as she implored him to deliver it to Kaz.
"Rotty," she called out, her voice laced with urgency. "Take this note. Deliver it to Kaz. Please hurry."
Rotty, recognizing the gravity of the situation, nodded solemnly, his loyalty unwavering. Without wasting another moment, he set off on his assigned task, the note clutched tightly in his grasp. Y/N watched his retreating figure, her heart pounding with anticipation and a glimmer of hope, praying that Kaz would receive her message in time.
In the midst of uncertainty, with the poison coursing through her veins, Y/N was acutely aware that the sands of time were slipping away, but she knew what she needed to do.
Rotty’s hurried footsteps echoed through the halls of Kaz’s office as he approached the door. He knocked, alerting Kaz to his presence, and without waiting for an invitation, he entered, his expression grave. Kaz’s sharp gaze locked onto Rotty, ready to inquire about the urgency that fueled his arrival. However, before a single word could leave Kaz’s lips, Rotty handed him the note and swiftly departed, leaving Kaz alone with the cryptic message.
Kaz’s eyes widened as he unfolded the note, revealing a simple white paper with a solitary lollipop drawn on it. To an outsider, this might have seemed perplexing, but to Kaz Brekker, it held a hidden significance. A sense of urgency surged through him as he recognized the unspoken message encoded within.
Kaz’s heart pounded in his chest as he raced to Y/N’s apartment, his mind racing with a million possibilities. The gravity of the situation only grew stronger with every step he took. When he finally arrived, he wasted no time and barged into the apartment, his senses on high alert.
The sight that greeted him was chilling—a man sprawled on the floor, surrounded by a pool of his own blood. Kaz’s breath caught in his throat as he took in the scene, the implications of what had transpired sinking in. Before he could utter a single word, Y/N emerged from her room, her face pale with a mixture of relief and anguish.
“My father,” Y/N whispered, her voice laced with a complex blend of emotions.
Kaz approached Y/N cautiously, his gaze locked onto her. He could see the fear and exhaustion etched across her features, the toll of the night’s events visible in her eyes. Her face drained of the color it usually had, hands and body slightly trembling. “What happened.”
Kaz listened intently as Y/N recounted the events, her voice filled with a mix of exhaustion and raw emotion. He could sense the weight of her words, the pain that laced every syllable. As she spoke, he noticed the omission—the crucial pieces of information she chose not to share.
“Y/N,” Kaz began gently, his voice laced with concern, “How did he find you.” Y/N hesitated for a moment, she knew. Of course she knew the stupid watch had a tracker, she knew the whisper wasn’t just any drunk asshole, but she couldn’t tell him. “I don’t know Kaz. Maybe I wasn’t careful enough.”
Y/n’s hand extended towards Kaz, holding out the bottle she had found in her father’s jacket. Kaz took the empty bottle from Y/N’s trembling hand, his gloved finger slowly swiping over it. Realization hit him and he knew, he knew he was about to loose his best friend. “I can’t die like this, Kaz. Not because of him.” Kaz’s face pales as he comprehends the gravity of the situation. He knows all too well that this poison means certain death, and he knew what y/n was asking, but the mere thought of being the one to take her life was unbearable.
“I can’t,” Kaz says, his voice filled with desperation. “I can’t do that y/n. Please.” Please. He was begging his brain to think of something else. To find a solution that wouldn’t take her away, not now, not ever.
She understands the pain it causes him, but she needs him, needs his strength and protection more than ever. With a flicker of determination in her eyes, she implores, “Please, Kaz, protect me one last time.”
Her words strike deep into Kaz’s heart, shattering it into pieces. He made a vow years ago to safeguard Y/N, and he never intended to break it, not now, not ever. With a shaky hand, she hands Kaz a dagger, its blade sharp enough to tear through her heart.
Kaz’s mind races, desperately seeking a way to keep her safe, to find an alternative. But the reality of the situation crashes down on him as y/n crumples to her knees, clutching her chest tightly. In that moment, he understands that there are no potions, no saint, no saving her from this fate.
Gently, Kaz sits on the cold floor of the apartment and scoots closer to y/n, carefully cradling her against his chest. He knows she doesn’t want to die at the hands of the man who tormented her for years.
With a heavy heart, he takes the dagger, holding it as delicately as he can, his hands trembling as he positions it on top of her heart. He wishes there was another way, a way to spare her this pain, but in this moment, protecting her means granting her final wish.
“I will always protect you, y/n.” And with a final kiss to her sweaty forehead, the dagger went right through her heart, forever stopping it.

Could you do some head cannons with Charles too? I love him sm but I never see much stuff about him. It’s okay if not!!! <3
Ofc I can I wanted to write for him at some point I hope this Alr and my writing fits him
(I made Dutch speak like foghorn leghorn…bc I could)
(But Rhys these are tough cowboys they don’t blush…..THEY WILL TODAY)
mostly Gender neutral reader but fem pronouns for Arthur
Not beta read
Arthur, John, Sean, Dutch, Charles
🍓The first “I Love You’s”
🍓Arthur Morgan
Technically he said the first “I love you.”
It was over the silliest thing too.
It was nearing nighttime and as the sunset you went out to find your cowboy.
And of course, Arthur was over by the horses.
Wanting to surprise him you walked slowly and careful signaling anyone who gave u questioning looks to be quiet.
You could hear Arthur talking to someone but you couldn’t quite make out who, but the closer you got you noticed that he wasn’t talking to a person, but the horses.
You stopped to take in the scene watching him brush one of the horses.
“That girl of ours is mighty fine don’t ya think” You waited a bit longer not wanting to interrupt the soft moment you had caught Arthur in as he spoke again, “I think I’m in love with her.”
Your eyes went wide, did you hear him right? He said love a smile appeared on your face.
“I think she loves you back” Arthur’s head snapped towards you and his face went red, part of the reason was being caught talking to the horses and the other half for you saying you loved him back.
One moment he’s by the horses he’s pulling you into a bone crushing hug.
“I love you doll.” “I love you too Arthur….but your crushing me”
🍓John marston
Not really surprising but you said the first “I love you”
That’s just because John is a little oblivious. I took him months until he could finally get the hint that you were flirting with him and even then you still had to make the first move
You sitting by the fire, taking in the night sky when
“Mind if I join you” you looked over to see John walking towards the spot you claimed for the night
You shook your head and moved over and patted the spot by you “not at all”
He was probably about only a couple feet away and he still managed to catch his foot on a rock and came tumbling down. He fell with a “SHIT” and landed with and “oof”.
He landed right by you and you started to laugh “hey what’s so funny”
Still giggling you shook you head slowly and gave him a found look “oh John marston, I love you”
This caused him to smile “really?”
“Yeah, really” forgetting that he has on the ground you gestured to the spot beside you “you gonna stay on the ground for the rest of the night?”
With this he scrambled to the seat next to you, and pulling you into his lap
Resting his head on top of yours he sighed out “I love you too
🍓Sean MacGuire
You said it first
As we all know Sean’s love language is teasing, and that meant sometimes he’d accidentally hurt your feelings
And that’s exactly what he did
“Well fuck you too Sean” you said storming off. You know it was meant to be a joke, you and Sean poke fun at each other all the time but time he went a little too far
“Wait, love, I didn’t mean it” Sean was chasing after you “it was s’posed to be a joke
You turned around to face him with tears in your eyes “no Sean…just leave me alone for a while…please” that broke Sean’s heart he was supposed to make you laugh not make you cry
“Yeah okay” with that he watched you walk away hanging his head he walked the other way not wanting to upset you even farther
“What’s got you all upset?” “I’m not in the mood Arthur”
Arthur took a seat next to Sean “c’mon now kid something has to be bothering you.”
Sean sighed “I might’ve taken a joke too far”
Arthur shook his head “And did you use this joke on your one and only?” Sean nodded “And what exactly was this joke?”
Sean looked around and then whispered something into Arthur’s ear, the others eyes widened and he took is hat off and smacked Sean with it
“Dagnabbit MacGurie you better march oh over there and apologize before it’s too late” “but-“ “NOW”
Sean for up and quickly went to find you, he found you sitting by a tree with your head in you hands
Sean came over and sat by you “I’m…sorry love…I didn’t mean to take the joke that far”
You sniffled “yeah I know, it just hurt my feelings y’know”
“Come here “ you moved to lean on him
“I hate you.” “No you don’t.” “No I don’t.” “Ya love me really.” “Yeah I do .”
He held you closer “I love ya too”
🍓Dutch Van Der Linde
Dutch said it first, and of course, it was as dramatic as he is
You both are in his tent laying on his bed
“Y’know what my dear” he proclaimed randomly that night
This made you move to your side propping up your head up with your elbow “yes Dutch?” Not bothered by this because this is how he was
“I do believe I am in love with you”
This made you sit up completely “what?” Looking at him is disbelief “Dutch you can’t just say things like that”
“And why not?” He sat up too “I’m in love with you and I’m afraid there’s nothing you can do about it”
“You really mean that?” and Dutch took that as a challenge
“i do declare I'm in love with you" he said as he grabbed you're face and peppered it with kisses. "i will shout it on top of rooftops if that makes you believe me"
you giggled at this "you practically already are Dutch"
"i can be louder if you'd like" outside you hear the groans of the others in the camp and a collective of "no's"
you are both sent into a fit of laughter as you calm down you settle back onto the bed.
"i love you too Dutch"
Dutch laid down and pulled you closer.
🍓Charles smith
You said “I love you first”
Only because Charles wasn’t the best at talking about how he felt, so he would show you
His love language is gift giving, not all his gifts where big and extravagant, but they where mostly just things that reminded him of you
And I’m this instance it was a flower
You were waiting for Charles to get back from his lastest job. You haven’t seen him all day but your not extremely worried sometimes you two wouldn’t See each of days, but that’s how it goes when your in the great Van Der Linde Gang
Your thoughts are interrupted by the sound of horses riding into camp. And there he was
You ran up to him just as he was getting off his horse and wrapped your arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a kiss
“Hey there lover boy” you said still hanging off of his shoulder “miss me”
He leaned down to capture your lip into another kiss and hummed into it “always” the two of you stood there like that for a minute. Not minding the rude look Micha was giving the both of you
“I brought you something back” this made you look up
“When do you not?” He shrugged his shoulders and turned back to dig through his saddle bag
“I hope it’s not to squished i tried to be careful” he handed you a light blue flower.
“Oh Charles” you couldn’t get over how sweet he was
“It made me think of you” he bashfully rubbed the back of his neck
“It’s beautiful I love it” looking back at Charles you added “I love you”
“I…I love you too” and with that you returned to the embrace you both started in, but this time you both held on a little tighter
Hey guys….it’s been awhile anyway I hope you liked it, it’s pretty obvious but it wasn’t beta read but I hope it’s not too hard to read I’ll probably go bad and edit it later if I feel like to, thanks to everyone still reading and liking my stuff it means a lot , love y’all 🍓

Knock Knock Boys Ep 6 Stray Thoughts
Last week, Jane, Peak’s fiancée, moved into the house with them. It’s clear Jane is not romantically invested in Peak, and their relationship feels very familial. Thanwa pulled back from intimacy with Peak, but also showed that he’s not shutting him out if Peak is willing to open up to him. Meanwhile, Almond got his first sex toy and skipped home to try it out. We had a lesson about consent and filming revenge porn, and left at Jumper and his friend being exposed, with Almond as the presumed culprit.
Oh no it’s Thanwa’s ex. I forgot about this mofo. Glad to know that Almond and Latte will be okay though.
Huge respect to this show for letting Seng have hair on his legs.
I’m glad this show is going to the ugly place with this story. Whoever posted that clip of Jumper also outed him. There are consequences for that. He wasn’t ready, and they stole that from him.
Jane sussed out this dynamic between Peak and Thanwa so quickly.
Oof, this is uglier than cheating. Max has a gambling addiction.
Ew, he’s here about sex, and is trying to use money he can’t manage to bait Thanwa into coming back.
I believed in you, Jane, and you didn’t let me down. Thank you for asking Peak the important questions.
Yes, Jane! Destroy Max with your cart!
This is a huge grocery.
Thankfully, I know the layout of a grocery store so I knew they didn’t actually meet up with each other. I’m still disappointed, though!!
Oh, this bathroom handhold got me. I hope they wash their hands.
Curious that Shawn is here to check on Almond. I know he cares about Jumper, so I totally get him wanting to get to the bottom of this so he doesn’t lose a friend in the process, too.
The tension in this show feels so well-calibrated. I’m enjoying the anticipation between Thanwa and Peak.
Man, this cooking scene is tough. Jane is trying to help, but Thanwa doesn’t see it because why would he?
Latte’s clothing is a real challenge for the sound team.
That’s right, Jane. Take charge of these boys. They need help.
Kabedon into a full carry. Good afternoon to me.
I really love this karaoke scene of them trying to cheer Almond up.
Not the sausage cheese jokes. Omg.
Oh no…Jumper got released from the team. That’s horrible.
Oh, Almond, thank you for not being so deep in our own issues that you noticed that Thanwa is stress cooking.
Thanwa’s shirts look comfortable.
Wow, this shot at the gate is excellent. Too bad Thanwa ruined it by letting Max inside.
Crumbs and carrots, the boys are doomed! You youths in the back better be ready to meddle next week to get your elders out of this and then find out who did this to Jumper!
Still enjoying this show a lot. I really like the way Jane is trying to push Peak to take charge of his life, and I love that we saw the results of her warning that not making a choice is a choice by Thanwa deciding to humor Max. I hope this thing with Max is brief, but I trust this show to do something interesting with it. Speaking of interesting things, it’s so refreshing to see a Thai show taking outing and revenge porn seriously! This show has been so refreshing, and I’m still feeling this good at the halfway mark!

Hi! I'm a big fan of your work. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I'm an artist who's been working on a story with a close writer friend of mine since the pandemic. Together we've outlined a webcomic that we're both very excited and passionate about, and it's been a great experience. Late last year we started actually making the comic itself, and a little less than a year later we're 37 pages in.
I wanted to ask you how you're able to somehow push out three high-quality pages every week? I work full time, and most days I'm too drained when I get home to immediately start working on the comic. Plus all the other stuff I have to take care of to be a functional adult. I'm not even that slow of an artist, but it just doesn't feel like there's enough hours in the day. At my current rate, I get about one page done per week. I'm 24 now, I don't want to be in my 50s still working on this story. Do you have any advice for increasing your output as an artist without completely overwhelming yourself?
Sorry for the wordy question. There's a reason I'm the artist and not the writer.
Oof, that's a tough one!
I mean, to start with, a fundamental difference in our schedules is I don't work full time. Everything I do for a living is very self-scheduled, and I can work far in advance to meet the deadlines I set and take entire days or even weeks off when I need them. Back when I was in college, dealing with outside schedule requirements, I definitely wouldn't have been able to keep up everything I do now.
That said, there are still methods to streamline and speed up the artistic process. I don't know the details of your methods, but I'd recommend sketching and storyboarding larger numbers of pages at a time and finalizing them at a more leisurely pace, rather than taking one page of comic at a time from a total blank to a finalized, polished version. The storyboard can be very basic; many of mine are little more than color-coded scribbles showing the characters and text boxes showing their dialogue. It's just enough to be readable to me so I can go in and edit it for pacing and timing, but it looks like absolute chickenscratch to anyone else. On the production side, that makes it much more feasible for me to work on multiple pages at a time, since I don't need to finish polishing one page before I can start boarding another.
This method can be expanded into a bit of a factory production line, allowing for a two-pronged approach of progress - one for finalizing older pages, the other farther along for storyboarding new ones. And once you have multiple pages done at a time, you can schedule them well in advance, which takes a lot of deadline pressure off and can make it less mentally daunting to work on. This also diversifies the space of things you can work on, depending on your headspace and energy levels - which is a useful option to have when you're wiped from outside responsibilities.

Hello! Just found your blog after I was on Akaza/m!reader fic (yes it's a shame that male reader content is so rare, oof) hunt because I'm so hyped for the new season coming soon. So if you have the time may I ask for another Akaza/m!reader one, please?? I liked your hc one so much! I thought about something like... that the reader is tracing Akaza's marks on his whole body with his fingers or even with his lips here and there? they both enjoying a peaceful soft moment with each other - would be so done for that tbh. Have a nice day!
𝕊𝕠𝕗𝕥 𝕄𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤
Fluff, m!reader
Note: It's annoying that you have to hunt for m! reader or even actual gn! content (some marked as gn, then it proceeds to have she/her pronouns). Anyways I hope you enjoy this. It was fun to write.
Disclaimer: Akaza may be a little ooc. Hehe, I don't write for him often.
After a particularly straining mission, Akaza shuffled into the room, groaning as he flopped onto the bed next to you. “Oh? Tough night, huh?” you questioned, looking down at him. You didn't get much response aside from a small sigh from the demon beside you. Chuckling, you leaned over and kissed his shoulder blade, lightly tracing the markings on his back. His body relaxed under your light touches, all fatigue fading from him as he lays beside you. At this, Akaza couldn't help but smile as he turned to you, “You always know how to cheer me up, huh?”
“And so what if I do?” you teased, reaching your other hand up to his cheek, admiring the blue markings that decorated his body. With a light smile, you placed a soft kiss on his cheek. “Sometimes I wonder how I got this lucky...” he muttered, gazing into your eyes. Words couldn't describe how he felt at this moment, having the one he loved lying beside him and treating him as an average person and not one of the Upper Moons that served directly under Muzan. It was like heaven on Earth for him.
Upon hearing this, you smiled, moving your hand formerly on his back to his chest, absentmindedly tracing the markings there. This has become a routine between the two of you, he’ll come back from a mission or meeting exhausted, and you’ll pamper him with all the attention he could ask for. He couldn't possibly ask for anything more.

Lots of commentary on Penelope and Colin lately. I thought I'd throw my two cents in (I'm old and have lived the Fandom life before Tumblr existed).
My thoughts? Book wasn't great, but out of the ones I read, their book was the best for me (don't get me started on Benedict's book, oof). I like how the show has made Colin and Penelope true friends, definitely more than what happened in the book.
In the book, I think the world of Penelope. And the fun-loving Colin too, although I was a bit... disturbed at jealous, angry Colin. In the show, I think they gave much of Colin's charms to Benedict but I still like Colin's kind of moral compass. He's young and impulsive and generally a good person. He's a great son to Violet, a great brother and a good friend to Pen. He is also a little clueless about his true emotions. He says things without meaning offense, not necessarily thoughtless or unkind, just lacking insight. So what we interpret is this great guy who unknowingly leads Pen on. I don't think he means to, she's his very close friend. But unfortunately, he does sort of push the boundaries of propriety with her. Holds her hand, takes her into private rooms and closes the door, tells her how special she is. I can only imagine how confused Penelope would be. Everything points to his growing affection. Until she hears him state otherwise. And regardless if he didn't mean for her to hear, it was kind of a cruel, especially the laughter. Ouch!
Now onto Penelope. She's allowed to be upset. She read the signals and unfortunately, she read them wrong. Everything she's ever known about courtship is from her perception of society. She watched Marina take Colin into a private room with the intent to seduce (and to this day, she would be clueless as to what happened in that room). So when Colin grabs her hand and takes her into a private room, well, she's thinking that Colin is into her! Then he dances with her, tells her she's special and he'll always look after her. I mean, she was riding Cloud Nine. So for her to hear him laugh about courting her, well, that's gotta be a tough pill to swallow. So let her have some anger and be upset. She's allowed emotions. Honestly, I'm sure even if she's angry at Colin (and Eloise), she's having just as hard time looking internally and discovering that part of her problems stem from her own issues and fallacy of reading too much into things. I mean, she's done some very questionable things. Things that were not pretty. She has hurt people with her lies. But she also isn't the villain that some people make her out to be. The show clearly shows her expressing remorse for doing awful things. She sobs after delivering the LW about Marina and is seen crying as she writes about Eloise. I'm not sure the show will have her apologize but I don't think they'll show as this selfish manipulator that a lot of people tend to see her as. She's supposed to make errors. She's young and for the first time in her short life has got people talking about something that she created. So she's probably making questionable choices with her skewed sense of importance.
All I want for season 3 is to see them fall in love. Not with an idealized sense of love (Penelope) but truly accepting each other's everything. I love a good Friends to Lovers trope, and I think Luke and Nicola are gonna be incredible. I'm excited (and I'd be more excited if they released a date, a picture, a hint, anything about season 3).
