"it's not my fault their definition of the ideal partner is vastly different than my own. it's abundantly clear to me that if anyone has flawed standards ... it's my parents. after all, they did somehow think that you were a suitable match for me." his arrogance was irksome to say the least, and she was letting him get to her which was the last thing kie wanted to do. "i have plenty to back my confidence up with. your inability to see that isn't my issue to deal with." she glared at the male as he patted her shoulder and spewed off bullshit she wasn't buying whatsoever. "everyone lies. it's part of human nature." arms folded across her chest as she glanced up at him, inhaling through her nose. she was seeing red the more he spoke, found herself utilizing every ounce of self control she had remaining so she didn't do something she'd end up regretting. "i can promise you that if i make you a drink ... it'll be the last thing you ever consume. your next home will be six feet under ground." words were said with a sickly sweet smile, daring him to have the audacity to speak to her like that again.

He smirked, "I'd love to see what else that mouth is good for," his suggestive remark hanging in the air, a display of shameless audacity. "Is that so?" he responded, his confidence unshaken. "They are under the impression that you have no standards, hence why they're picking for you," he countered, revealing the depth of his ego. "Confident, I like it. I just wish you actually had something to back that confidence up," he added, sighing dramatically and patting her shoulder as if offering his sympathy. "I don't think so. I'm not a liar, and I don't want to break your parents' trust. You, on the other hand, can run off. I can inform them that I came here like a responsible man, but their daughter had other plans. I'm excited to see what creative way they'll punish you. Perhaps they'll freeze all your accounts again," he smirked, taking a seat. "How about we avoid all those troubles and you play the role of a good little woman? Get me a drink and practice being my wife," he concluded, his arrogance on full display.
