I have a hard time committing to reading long fanfictions so I don’t really read any aside from one shots.

I am still an avid follower of yours because your art and drawings are INSANELY GOOD. Like, professional-looking good. Criminal-it’s-only-fan-art-and-not-paid-art good 😂. I’m thirsty for every drawing you throw at us in your magnanimity, there’s that pinch sweetness into it.. idk how to even describe it. I may even download them into a file on my phone to have a look from time to time with all my favourite artists… 👀

Anyway, I am awed by people like you who produce an insane amount of content that takes TIME and DEDICATION, FOR FREE. Sharing entertainment like you do is admirable and should only be rewarded with positivity.

Wowowowowow I just read the niki fic again (plus the update) and my oh myyy I love it 😭 in the beginning I was like not vibing with Nikis character and then I fucked around and kept on reading and then loved his character and especially the idea of him with oc. And then haruto came in to play 😭 like in the beginning of the story I would have been like “haruto :D” and now I’m like “haruto D:” skakakskabxhajkmcbnsn i really love your writing it’s actually so impressive how you wrote so well and it’s just really cool 🥺

Also I just wanted to add that I really like that you skip around in the stories and update each story at different times. “So that’s two.” Epel says, looking between the odd collection of NRC students before him. He sighs, “Where are we going to get a third person, though?”

“I find it a bit odd that you haven’t asked your fellow Pomefiore dorm members. Vil and Rook, I understand, but…” Jade tilts his head to the side, indicating one of the tables near them. Epel’s eyes follow his direction, but the minute he spots the person being pointed out, he grimaces.

“That’s not a good choice, either!” He protests, but Jade’s mouth simply curls into a smile.

“Hmm? He seems like a perfectly good candidate to me. Let me go get him.” Before the first year can stop him, the mer is already walking away to retrieve his target.

“I’m not familiar with that one.” Sebek says, scrutinizing the two second years who now seem to be having an argument of some sort. “He doesn’t seem like he’d be any good in an athletic competition.”

Epel groans. “His athletics isn’t the problem!”

“And what exactly is the problem with me?”

“Ack!” The first year startles, looking up to the two mer who have now appeared beside their table. Jade is smiling, but Arlo looks incredibly annoyed—not that that’s much different than usual. He narrows his eyes further as he takes in the group settled around the table.

Well, he’s here already, so it would be fine to at least ask, right?

“Umm, nothing! Actually, we were looking for another person. You see, there’s this sled race in Harveston, and—“

“Oh, that.” The mer interrupts, tilting his head. “I should have realized you were going to that too.”

“Yeah—“. Epel stops, “Wait, too?!”

“Oh my.” Jade’s eyes widen, “This is unexpected. You already know about this?”

“The race truly is that famous and rigorous, then?” Sebek asks excitedly.

Arlo glances at the Diasomnia first year, raising an eyebrow. “Uh, no. I don’t care about things like that.”

“And I suppose it would be wrong of me to hope that you were similarly interested in Mount Moln…” Jade sighs, shaking his head. “I can only dream.”

Arlo turns to the mer, a look of disgust on his face. “What are you talking about?”

“Neither you or Floyd have any taste, of course…”

“Jade, I swear…”

“Wait, wait!” Epel holds up his hands, temporarily interrupting the two childhood friends. “Seriously, what’d ya’ mean ‘too’?!”

Arlo tilts his head, “I was invited to watch the race.” He says simply, as if it answers the question.

“Wh-?! By who?!” Epel suddenly gets a stricken look on his face. “Don’t tell me—“

Much to the Pomefiore student’s horror, his upperclassman’s cheeks flush a bit red, something that only happens with mention of one specific person. “It doesn’t really matter who it was, does it?” He spits back harshly.

“Oh?” Jade perks up, a smirk on his face. “My, I haven’t seen that reaction from you in a very long time. Who might we be talking about?”

Arlo shoots him a glare, “It’s none of your business, you fungi obsessed freak.”

“Your words do hurt, you know.” Jade says, entirely unfazed.

“No way, Neige invited you?” Epel blinks at the mer in shock. “And you’re going? To MY hometown? With HIM?”

Arlo stares back at him, unimpressed. “It’s only polite to accept an invitation when you’re invited.” He says, like a liar.

“Neige…?” Jade tilts his head. “…Neige LeBlanche? The actor?”

“No, the florist.” Arlo rolls his eyes, “Obviously the actor.”

“I was simply surprised, is all.” Jade grins widely at him. “Although, perhaps I shouldn’t be—that was your type, wasn’t it?”

Arlo’s eyes widen, and then his face flushes bright red even as it immediately contorts in anger. “Shut up! I don’t have a type! And even if I did, he’s not—! Ugh! You’re so annoying! This is why Floyd is the better twin. I wish he would’ve eaten you.” He viciously continues insulting his fellow mer, all while Jade grins on victoriously.

Epel just stares on in despair. “So… not only do we still need to find another person, but Arlo will be there? With Neige?” He mentally starts calculating the chances of Arlo telling on him to Vil. Maybe he’ll be too distracted…? Or—

“Jade, I swear to the Great Seven if you say a single word more about this I will make sure to rip off your tail fins and eat them in front of you.” Arlo finishes, threat hissed in a low tone with his finger pointed at the other boy’s chest. It’s rather comical, considering the height difference, if only Arlo didn’t seem serious about it.

“Wh-?!” Sebek splutters from off to the side, having mostly stayed out of it yet maintaining a disappointed look. “Eat them—?!”

Arlo turns his frightening glare onto him next, anger not sparing a single person no matter their involvement. Epel, unfortunately, is used to it.

He sighs, “Uh… so you’ll be going to Harveston tomorrow too, then…?” He asks hesitantly, conscious of making the older boy even angrier.

The mer crosses his arms. “Yes. I suppose we’ll be seeing each other in the morning, then.” He scoffs.

“Right…”

“I’m leaving now.” Arlo announces, and then throws another glare at Jade, who seems to be radiating smug happiness. “Don’t talk to me.” He hisses.

“See you tomorrow.” Jade calls at his retreating back. Arlo makes a rude gesture over his shoulder.

“I see what you were saying now.” Sebek comments. “We’re better off without him on the team.”

“Yeah…” Epel sighs, “We still need a third person, though…”

Jamimayu: You Remind Me

This is for Syder (@anbaisai) ♡ I know I told you about this idea a long time ago, but I hope you enjoy! ♡ THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TREY ART YOU SEND ME LOL ♡ I had a lot of fun writing it ♡

The sun was starting to set as they made their way down the street, Kalim looking at each store curiously. His hands were full, bags from various shops held in each one. Jamil stood beside him, carrying the ones he couldn't hold.

They've been out since that morning, when Kalim rushed over and begged him to go shopping. He was in the middle of making breakfast when it happened, a panicked look on Kalim's face as he explained. Apparently there were some birthdays he forgot, birthdays that Jamil kept reminding him about... He gives Kalim a look before shaking his head, annoyed by the situation.

He had planned to visit Mayu that day, having made more breakfast than they needed (by mistake, of course). He could always drop it off before they go, and yet... it just didn't sit right with him, eyebrows furrowing at the thought. He knew why he was so torn about this, the reason hidden deep in his chest. An excuse, the thought echoed in the back of his mind. He wanted an excuse...

An excuse for what exactly? He doesn't say, ignoring the image that flashes in his mind. Mayu talking, laughing... enjoying his company. He pushes it down, shaking his head as he ignores the ache in his chest.

He agrees to go with him, but only after they eat, Kalim thanking him gratefully. He leaves her meal on Ramshackle's doorstep, sitting in a bag with a note inside. The food is wrapped with care, with some items included for Grim. He made sure Kalim had a list before they left, keeping track of each gift he bought.

With every shop they entered, a name would be crossed off, leaving with a new bag in hand. There was only one person left Kalim had to get a gift for, Jamil ready for this day to be over. He sighs as Kalim talks, keeping an eye on each store they pass. He does a double take at a nearby window, pausing for a closer look.

It was a simple store, cutely designed and meant for kids. The window had a display for stuffed animals, encouraging you to 'make a new friend'. Handmade signs were placed near each one, saying things like adopt me or let's be friends. No two stuffed animals were alike, each being a different animal or thing, with a cute expression on their face.

Out of all of them though, he was drawn to the one near the center, sitting between a plush fox and a plush otter. He saw it out of the corner of his eye as they were passing, thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him. A plush onigiri... smiling wide with it's eyes closed. It seemed more expressive than the rest, with a sign that said let's be lunch buddies! placed near it's face.

He does his best to fight the smile growing on his face, looking at the plush with affection. It should be silly, but the smile feels familiar... Mayu's face flashing before him. It's at this point Kalim turns, voice trailing off as he realizes Jamil isn't beside him. He notices Jamil further back, standing in front of one of the store's he passed by. He walks back, curious to know what caught his eye.

"Oh, how cute! Do you want to go in?" Kalim asks, looking in the window with interest.

Jamil stands there for a moment, mind swirling as he stared at the onigiri. He keeps his face blank as he fights himself, struggling between acceptance and denial. To get the plush would mean so many things, so many questions he tried not to answer. Denial was easier, he keeps telling himself, that familiar ache coming back again.

"No," he starts, looking away from the window as he walks past him. Once he's a good distance away he looks over his shoulder, gesturing for Kalim to follow him. "Let's hurry, so we can get back before dark. I still need to make dinner."

Yet, as he lays in his bed that night, the plush doesn't leave his mind, hugging his pillow close. He buries his face in it as he indulges himself, pretending the pillow was the plush instead. Here, in the quiet of the night, with his dormmate sound asleep... he let's himself dream.

Dreams of freedom, light and carefree like laughter. Dreams of feelings, acknowledged and accepted in his heart. Dreams of the past, regaining lost moments in a steady future...

All of them, including Mayu. Every dream, featuring her.

He rises that morning well-rested, going about his usual routine. He informs Kalim he'll be going to the store, leaving once classes were over for the day. He walks until he reaches a familiar store, entering without hesitation. A small smile comes to his face as he holds the onigiri plush, bringing it to the counter. The worker gives him the handmade sign as well, along with a certificate for him to fill out.

"Feel free to name your new friend anything you like. We can even embroider it onto an accessory for them to wear!" The worker informs him, showing different accessories he could pick from.

He hesitates for a moment before pointing to one, muttering so only the worker would hear, "... can I get this one, with the name Mayugiri on it?" ♡
