First ever art I did of Casimir. He’s def younger in this than I typically depict him as. Perhaps closer to the alleged 14 he’s suppose to be when he first begins traveling with Juri, Kyra, and Colm.

My original description for this image was as follow.

Tentative design for Casimir, my Nobelprideshipping (Lysandre x Calem) fankid.

Basically the result of a crack pairing I took too seriously, but I liked Casimir enough that I wanted to make him canon in the main Omegaverse timeline, even if Lysandre/Calem isn’t endgame.

His traveling companions are Juri (Clingy!kid) and Kyra (Ironwill!kid).  I consider Fennekin as being Calem’s starter, so given his parentage, Vulpix seemed like an appropriate starter for Casimir, who was gifted to him by Sycamore on his 10th birthday.  Sycamore dotes on the kid, partly due to guilt over failing to save his dear friend all those years ago. Where he failed Lysandre, he hopes to make up for it by looking out for his son.

I imagine it would be hard to get around the fact his father tried to destroy most of the world, so even though he’s never met the man, Casimir has quite the complex about that.  This is one of the main reasons he leaves Kalos as soon as he starts his own Pokemon journey.
