Growing up, Ronin Warriors was one of the first real anime I watched. I always loved the design of the characters. It was one of those shows that was campy yet satisfying to watch. I picked the Armor of Inferno because it is the calumniation of all the main characters. I've always wanted to make a larger armor and this had everything. Cool helmet, larger shoulders, and two swords. It had to be done. 

This entire build is made with EVA foam. I started by creating patterns using an action figure of the character and stills from the anime. My main focus was that I wanted to keep everything proportionate in scale to the character. Patterns were traced and cut to 8mm foam with 4mm trim.

Everything is attached using velcro, magnets, zippers and clips. The shoulders have a 6 foot wing span and are held on with a nylon harness that is under the chest piece. I kept everything flexible so I sealed flexbond/plastidip and sprayed white leather paint as my base. After that the armor was air bushed the remaining colors. Lastly, I painted in the depth layer to make it pop.

There where only 2 types of reactions to the armor at Dragoncon this year. 1. "Are you a Gundam?" or 2. "OH MAN! I loved that show! I used to watch it on Toonami all the time!" To be honest I didn't think many people would know or remember the show, I was happily proven wrong.

"Your support has arrived!" #blizzcon day 2 (midday) Got out of soldier and into mercy to help out my buddy Jake @shepherdcreations on the con floor. Ran into more friends on the floor including the amazing @hokuprops and the wonderfully sweet @sammyhime . Grabbed a beer with @bjornsworkshop and we ran into our friends from the badge line again! Prepped Shep for the stage (had some lighting issues we fixed in the nick of time!) and then caught even more frands! #Blizzcon day 2 (morning!) Threw on that old Silver Fox #soldier76 and walked thru the door and ran right into my pals @ladykitzcosplay and @nospaceship and got to see myself (as a young man again!) 😎 This Morrison was spot on!😎 Then ran around a little bit and got an awesome sticker for Bettie from @jenumicosplay !😍 Thanks so much 💙💙💙 got a quick photo in with @dtjaaaam (thanks Dude! ♥️😎👍) and headed back to the room to change into normie clothing so I could help out Shepherd with his DK Anduin out on the floor for the 2nd half of the day.
