With all those visits to Croc in Arkham, I'm sure the police are going to come have a chat with you the next time he breaks out, Doctor. Probably nothing serious, just to make sure of where you were when that finally does happen.

"That's fine with me. I don't have anything to hide from the authorities." Kirk answers quietly, his face a blank mask were it not for the lines of worry creasing his brow. Killer Croc, breaking free from the confines of Arkham. He'd already come to terms with the notion this was no longer mere possibility but inevitable that sooner or later, Croc would break free, and the first person the police would pay a visit too would most likely be him, in case Doctor Langstrom knew anything about his escape or how he got out. It wouldn't surprise him. Croc wouldn't be the first patient to escape and certainly wouldn't be the last, but Kirk ensured their visits were nothing more than two friends catching up with one another when possible. It was hard to discuss anything else when at least ten guns were trained on Croc at all times, and Kirk didn't want to give their 'supervisors' any excuse to cut their visits short. They'd discussed cooking shows Croc had watched while staying over on occasion. Kirk started watching them too, both to learn a few new recipes now that he was living alone as well as to let Croc know of the amusing moments (and spectacular failures) when that week's contestants got to work. Kirk would tell him about Gotham too, of all the interesting things currently going on in the city and how spring would soon be here, now that the snow outside had turned back into rain. He'd already seen brave young flowers daring to peek above the earth in the park, tempting the ire of a late cold snap. There would be nothing to tell the police, even if he wanted to. Did Kirk want to tell them anything? He glanced down at his feet, lips pressed together in a stubborn line that... no, he didn't and he wouldn't, not unless something happened and Croc was in greater danger than having the lines of ten guns drawn on him, ready to fire at a moment's notice.

"Everything between Croc and I already gets monitored. Should he break out, that'll be down to Arkham and how they handle security as well as how well they 'treat' their patients. I'm not worried about myself and won't stop visiting just because the GCPD might start asking awkward questions." Whether or not he'd answer said questions was a completely different story.
