Although there was no address nor name on the envelope, he knew immediately who it was from, and was grateful that Castor had made no method for her to be tracked down. He wanted to say that he and Nerva had taught her and Pollux well -- but in truth, much of her intelligence, cleverness, and resilience were her own doing.

(But if he were to credit either parent, it would certainly be Nerva. He had taught the twins how to fight and survive, while they had shown them how to live and persevere.)
