Adventures of FriendSHIP

Late update since school got overwhelming but here’s my Pathfinder group’s second session notes!

Episode 2–

Morning work goes well, nothing crazy but it is pouring rain.

Jennan asks Rosie to play her fiddle so she does. He attempts to dance but the only one charmed or laughing is Rosie (and technically Nizura bc omg) +100xp

Rosie insists on teaching him to dance

Calin takes part in drinking, passes out in tie with other. Nizura takes care of him with Tilly and Grok.

Nizura plays a friendly card game with Ratsberger and learns that his grandmother taught him and that the lost his fingers during a rigging accident.

Next morning: no rain but hurricane level winds

A shark appears off the bow and Jennan interacts with it.

Storm arrives next morning. High waves, difficult maneuvering, everyone on deck. Calin falls from the rigging but is luckily caught by Milan. Rosie is caught by a rope and hauled overboard.

Jennan grabs a rope and jumps in, being pulled along by his shark. After several failed attempts Jennan gets the rope in Rosie’s hands and everyone starts heaving on it from the deck. She drifts back and forth and it’s not clear if she’s going to make it but we get lucky and she is returned. She collapses on deck in pure exhaustion.

Everyone but Calin is either fatigued or exhausted (Nizura) and goes immediately to bed

Approaching the Slithering Coast. After day jobs we stop in a reef. Master Plugg tell us and Rosie to go crab catching in the absolutely beautiful reef. Jennan, while scouting, gets attacked by reef claws (which look suspiciously like Skarner from LoL) Rosie is thrilled.

Rosie critical hits and absofuckinglutely SHREDS the reef backs (with a small kick from Magic Missle a la Calin). Just a small swirling hurricane of blood and axe heads. Dinner’s on Rosie.

Reefclaw is considered a delicacy and Nizura knows this. She also knows 3 different recipes to prepare them. Captain gives 300gp for the Reefclaws.

Next two days are heat waves.

Day after, Milan, Jennan, and Calin are pulled aside to got to “Boarding School”. The exercise is grappling, which the individual must hook a grapple on the deck of the ship and climb on, dodging projectile.

Calin and Jennan are constantly missing and people on deck have to make reflex saves to avoid being hit by hooks. Milan is, of course, already done. Meanwhile people start throwing tomatoes at them because hey, free entertainment.

They have to go out again and here come more tomatoes. This time it’s Jennan and Nizura. At one point Jennan falls off the rope. Nizura catches a tomato thrown at her and hurls it back but misses. Riaria, seeing Nizura finish first, unties Jennan’s rope. Thankfully, that means class is over.

Next day and following days, we notice that more and more often we are being assigned tasks that are our least favorite. Jennan, sent to the Bilges, runs into Plugg and Master Scourge who search him and take all of his weapons. He continues on but realizes there are two people in the bilges with him, both armed. They accuse him of slacking and draw daggers.

Jennan dodges a stab then uses his Shark Shaman powers to give himself wicked sharp shark teeth. One attacker recoils in shock. Rosie, hearing the commotion, jumps down into the bilges with Jennan.

Jennan gets stabbed. Rosie is a goddamn whirlwind and lands blow after blow, knocking a guy down, who proceeds to bleed out. Jackson bites the other who recoils briefly before landing a return blow. Rosie kicks his shit and he goes down. Now they have a problem: if they kill someone they will be keelhauled. So Rosie runs to get Nizura while Jennan stabilizes them. Nizura cures Jennan’s wounds completely.

Master Plugg and Scourge come down and accuse Jennan and Rosie of attempted murder and put both of them in the sweatbox together, a tight, cramped spot where they await keelhauling the next day.

Rosie is crying to Jennan’s chest and the rest of the PCs are trying to figure out what to do.

Next day, a ship is spotted on the horizon…

Very exciting and very LONg session that day, really needed a stretch afterwards^^; I’ll post our third session soon, as soon as I compile the notes.
