Mexico 2013 / Mexico Tour 2018

The Mexico 2013 production had brand new designs for the cats and included some variations to the show itself. The Growltiger segment was included, but omitted the Siamese as enemies, instead ending it after the lover’s duet. Many of the costumes for the cats were much more vibrant than the usual ones.

The Mexico 2018 Tour was nearly the same as the 2013 production, with both having been produced by Gerardo Quiroz. Some costumes were changed slightly.

The 2013 production ran from May 10th 2013 to December 30th 2014, while the 2018 tour ran from October 24th 2018 to December 22nd 2019.

MAČKY 2016

This production takes place in an abandoned department store in the suburbs of London. The official description of the show also includes some interesting deviations from the norm, most notably with Old Deuteronomy being described as a “prophet”.

It opened on April 30th 2016 and appears to still be played in rep.

CRT 2012

This production was put on by Cortland Repertory Theatre and was set in the back alley behind an abandoned theatre. 

It ran from July 11th - 28th of 2012.

New Zealand Tour 2019

This production of CATS was a “darker, more sensual and spitty” reimagining. The set was inspired by post-earthquake Christchurch, It featured a run-down Victorian theatre whose domed roof had caved in. The costumes themselves are darker too, with unique designs, reflecting the overall style of the production. 

This production ran from April 12th - May 6th of 2019.

Prague 2004

This production was the Czech premiere of CATS. It was set in a clock tower, and the stage featured tiered seating circling the stage. The production’s run was cut short after it ran into financial troubles. There had been an album released planned, but it was never released officially, however it has since been leaked online.

 It ran from November 5th 2004 - July 2005, the closing was announced in September when the show was supposed to pick up again.
