Are you sure?
August 14, 2023: I said this back last year:
Are Jimin and Jungkook going around the world Namjooning? In May they were in Japan. We know they were together in New York in July. And also in Connecticut during that same trip. And now they're cooling their butts off in the ocean down in Jeju? Where else have they been and we didn't know it? WhAt doEs it ALL mEaN? Are we getting some sort of vlog or Bon Voyage subunit at some point in the future? Is it for a subunit MV?
Last year, I knew saying all that might stir up some delulu controversy but I know there was a window of time in May when they could have snuck off to Japan. Someone supposedly saw them, and blabbed about it and that's why I had mentioned it last year. But that's it, only hearsay. It was enough to make me pay attention.
On July 12, 2023, Jungkook departed Incheon Airport for New York City to make appearances for Seven.
The next day, Jimin leaves to join him in New York (with a fresh full body wax that made his skin as slick and shiny as that terrazzo floor he's walking across):
Once in New York, the buzz about sightings of Jimin and Jungkook together began to heat up. First at a restaurant called Antoya where someone snapped some pics of them.
Then the next day the boat captain of the yacht they chartered blabbed about it and we got this from him:
That is this boat:
Another sighting in Connecticut, buying grocery store deli pizza.
Then Jimin goes back to Korea and Jungkook moves on to London for more appearances related to Seven.
On August 31, Jimin posted this on his Instagram:
It looks like it was taken while they were in New York state or Connecticut.
He posted these on September 28 on his Instagram and said Jungkookie drew a fish, we later find out directly from Jungkook that Jimin also helped draw but it was supposed to be a whale (awwww):
On September 29, Taehyung posted this sunset from Jeju on Weverse:
This is the same rock in one of the preview images for "Are You Sure?" Is Tae's pic above taken from the deck of the sailboat?
And on October 3, Tae posted these on his Instagram:
They were at a place on Jeju called Chai Cafe â Jjaidabang (ě§ě´ë¤ë°Š).
Chuseok holiday was Sept. 28-30 (Thurs-Sat.) last year. Did the three spend Chuseok weekend there? If so, what was the trip back in August for?
On November 21, BigHit sent out the notice that Jimin, Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon had initiated the enlistment process.
We didn't know yet that the enlistment process had begun months and months earlier for Jimin and Jungkook because it was only right before they went in that we found out they'd be enlisting together under the accompanying military program or companionship enlistment. It was still a shock.
They knew they had to break it to everyone that they were going to spend the next 18 months together and they spent much of 2023 laying the foundation for that.
On November 23, 2023, Jimin and Jungkook depart Gimpo Airport together for Japan.
At this point, they can't or no longer care to hide or be discreet. That entire trip was riddled with sightings at the airports in Japan. Rumors of them staying at an onsen (hot spring) resort in Sapporo emerged when it was mentioned on a Japanese show.
Jimin posted these on his Instagram on November 25:
But what were they doing in Japan back in May, if we are to take the rumors of that sighting as possible too? Hmmmm. Don't know.
Well, now we know they were going where ever the mood struck on the spur of the moment and making it up as they went along. "Are You Sure?/Is this Right?" (however you'd like to interpret "ě´ę˛ë§ě?)"
And we'll find out soon what sort of fun they had on all of these trips. Will Tae make a cameo appearance in the Jeju episodes? Will we see if they actually went "glamping" or if they were really trying to rough it? I can hear them now: "Is this right? wait, are you sure that goes there?"
They'll be on watercraft, and various types too: kayaks, sailboats, yachts...
The foods they will eat... will they include grocery store deli pizza in one of the episodes?
I wonder if they are eating seafood will they be catching it, cleaning it and cooking it? Again: "Am I doing this right? Are you sure? this doesn't look right. What do I do with these fish guts?"
And can't forget to talk about the drinking. The brewery they visited in Connecticut and possibly Sapporo... All I can hear from them here are the satisfied "ahhs" when they take the first taste.
Will we finally see MMA in their sleep?
All I know is they were very, very excited about it.
They promise it will be unpredictable as they embark on their journey without any plans, simply relishing the joy of traveling together.Â
As I sit here thinking about them (as I often do), the past year (or two or ten) continues to bring into focus more and more their dynamic and relationship. All the unnecessary projections and narratives that people have placed and continue to place upon them...Jimin and Jungkook just continue being themselves and as close as ever through it all.
All of last year and even all the previous years, all of the things: the "twinning" in their style concepts for their solo work... the scenes of them from the Beyond the Star documentary... the passages in the Beyond the Story book about them and the GCFT trip... every time Jungkook mentioned Jimin, calling out to him during lives or spending time watching Jimin content, especially the post-NY/CT-naked-in-bed live that made us glitch:
2023 was not just another year of copying each other or strange coincidences. It was them preparing us for the inevitable.
All of it bringing it all into such sharp focus.
Anyway. All that rambling to say I have never wavered in my understanding of them as two people who were so very close, so very similar and so very important to each other.
And one more thing... what about this?
I thought it was coincidental that the bar pendent necklace that was sold at the Monochrome pop up was so similar to the one Jimin wore most of 2022...
Will we see the ring necklace as part of a merch line at some point in the future too?
#jikook#kookmin#jimin#jungkook#jm and jk x are you sure?#are you sure or is this right?#just the title is funny#i feel a jikook song coming for the ost#and have they already dropped a spoiler for it and we didnt know?

Oh my god so glad you asked!!! There are many different types of Expat in Korea:
FB Rant Woman is who Iâd classify as âFirst Time Minority.â There are many of these. Theyâre white people that usually believe that they now understand systemic oppression because theyâre now a minority group in Korea and xenophobia exists. Probably doesnât believe that they have white privilege in Korea.
Will say anything seemingly negative that happens to them is racism. Korean person not interested in having a serious relationship with expats that will most likely leave the country in the next 1-2 years? Racism. Korean person doesnât understand their accent when they speak Korean (their pronunciation sucks)? Racism. Itâs all racism. They understand now. Donât you see, American Person of Color? Here, weâre the same đŤśđ˝
Other types of expats are:
The Koreaboo
They love KPop and K-dramas and moved to Korea to find their oppar. This expat either has a Korean boyfriend who is an ugly loser or is attractive and clearly not taking the relationship as seriously as she is, or a revolving cast of Korean boyfriends that changes so fast you never can actually learn their names. You would warn her that most men looking to date foreign women are only really looking for casual relationships, but sheâs insufferable so you donât bother.
If she sees you on the street when sheâs with her boyfriend, sheâs going to glare at you even though he looks like a foot and is chronically unemployed. In her mind, you want him. And thatâs all that matters.
Sheâs an English teacher, but she really doesnât care about her job. Has an annoying social media presence with titles like âMy KOREAN BOYFRIEND tries NEW YORK PIZZA for the FIRST TIME!!â
She posts on the FB groups about how her boyfriend wonât introduce her to his family. People try to tell her that, culturally, people in Korea donât introduce partners unless theyâre engaged and about to get married. She doesnât get it.
The Loser Back Home
This person is usually a white man who for some reason could not cash into his white male privilege in his country of origin, so he came to Korea expecting Korean women to throw coochie at him simply because heâs white. The LBH fetishizes Korean women, and loathes non-Korean woman. Heâs also insufferable.
Also an English teacher, not good at his job. Has lived in Korea for 10+ years and speaks little to no Korean. Sometimes has a Korean wife that you pray divorces him eventually. He usually relies on her to do everything because he refuses to learn Korean.
The âWhy are You Still Here?â
This person has also lived in Korea for 10+ years and they HATE the country. They donât like the food, the people, their jobs, the culture, everything. Chronically miserable.
You ask them why theyâre still here, and they never have a straight answer. Itâs implicitly understood that theyâve been living in Korea for most of their adult life, and donât know what theyâd do if they left. If they do leave, theyâre going to a nearby country (probably Japan or China) to start the process all over again.
The College Student
This person is studying abroad for a semester. Commonly seen in Hongdae clubs. Theyâre 19 and they can drink legally in Korea and itâs about to be everyoneâs problem!
This group has overlap with the Koreaboo.
The Military Man
This person is a man in the US military. Heâs either looking to get married to someone after knowing them for 5 business days, or is cheating on their wife with whom they share 3 children (with one on the way!) Swears he gets tested regularly, but will give you an STI. If heâs been in Korea for years, he probably ended up on The Black Book fb group to warn women to not interact with him. (TBB got shut down because other women started leaking the information to the men listed in it, and they threatened to sue the moderators. RIP TBB you saved many a life.)
This person is reviled by everyone in the country, expats included, because he is a menace. He and his friends terrorize the innocent citizens of whatever poor city their base is closest to. Avoid at all costs.
The Traveler
This person hasnât lived in their country of origin for years, and has mostly been jumping from country to country for adventure! They live in Korea because 1. Itâs a nice place to live., 2. Relatively low cost of living, and 3. Close to other countries. A holiday is coming up? Theyâre going to Thailand. They got vacation days? Theyâre spending it in Vietnam.
Either very chill and interesting, or insufferable.
And finally; The Running Away from Something. (Thatâs me!!)
This person is living in Korea because for some reason they do not want to be in their country of origin.
Shitty family? Itâs hard to keep in contact with a 12 hour time difference. Donât know what theyâre gonna do with their life? English teaching in Korea is a good gap year job to let you save and figure your shit out. Mentally ill? Oh you stupid bitch. Go make that appointment at the Itaewon International Clinic. DO IT NOW.
Is either staying 1-2 years, or ends up living there forever. No in between.

His hair is a rich, dark brown with much darker and redder undertones in the right lights, which he habitually cuts once every other year. He keeps it up in a low bun with some fly-aways on his lazier days, otherwise itâs in a high, neat bun - or, when cut, combed forward into a typical âyoung idolâ fashion. He keeps active, though he isnât particularly athletic, so he comes across as wiry but lean. He may slouch from time to time, but, for the most part, he stands with his back straight and his shoulders back. His eyes are sharp and narrow, observant, and are plain brown in color. Heâs been known to sport a little facial hair from time to time, though he likes to keep a clean shave. He has a rather delightful smile, despite some aspects of his personality - a little deceptive and quietly malicious. He wears Nice clothes most of the time, from suits to the stereotypical 'wealthyâ vacation wear, but in his down time, heâll wear simple hoodies and sweatpants like anyone else.
13. Equipment. On his person, he keeps: His camera, laptop, cell phone, wallet, car keys, a pocket knife, and a paper-copy of his portfolio. 14. Occupation. 18. Likes. His jobs, flirting, dancing, traveling, occasional splurge on 7/11 ramen, green tea, grapefruit, milk tea, money, winter time, etc. 19. Dislikes. Dishonesty, most of his Japanese family, Mineo, living alone, licorice, pizza, metal music, horses, cigarette smoke, the smell of whiskey, most coffees, hot weather, bad weather, stubbornness, people who get attached, etc.
20. Positive Traits. Strong-willed, thoughtful, giving and stubbornly helpful when it comes to friends, encouraging, tells it like he sees it, accommodating. 21. Negative Traits. Sharp-tongued, sly, manipulative, selfish, moody, vain, prideful, will lose himself in his work for months, once he decides on something it is near impossible to change his mind, distrustful. 22. Goals. To reach a certain level of popularity in the modeling and photography industries the world over. While this isnât as important to him as even he thinks it is, it serves as an adequate distraction from the hollowness of his life. 23. Desires. As above, so below. He actively distracts himself from what he wants most and that is, simply, to find someone to trust or even to love, be it a friend or a lover. He doesnât want to feel bitter or lonely. 24. Alignment. Chaotic Neutral
25. Personality. He shares many traits with his brother, Mineo, in that heâs the type to keep people at armâs length, even his friends or what few people he may think of as 'closeâ. Heâs incredibly stubborn and hardheaded, often making decisions heâll stand by till whatever ends he deems necessary, regardless of evidence proving him wrong (this mostly applies to first impressions of people). His work ethic is on par with his cousinâs and will frequently lose himself in it for weeks, months even, often ceasing to contact his friends. He will do what he can to get what he wants and, usually, through charm and follow-through, heâs able to accomplish as much. Sometimes a charming smile and a little effort isnât enough and for those battles, he chooses not to fight. Heâs better at picking his battles than he is at being a friend. He is notorious for one-night stands and doesnât seem keen on changing that as he dislikes the idea of commitment or even intimacy. He is distrustful so he does not feel he can ever be fully honest with anyone. Moreover, despite his familyâs differences, he is still quite heartbroken over the loss of his sister, Mineko, suggesting an inability to let go of hardships heâs faced directly or indirectly.

⸝Background Information. // Past to Present.
When directly comparing his life with Mineoâs, Min-Joon knows he hasnât been through enough to necessarily constitute the bitterness and hollowness he feels on a day-to-day basis. He doesnât regularly see dead bodies and he didnât lose his parents to a sadistic serial killer. However, he did lose members of his family, and one of them was one he loved so dearly in early childhood. Before the family fell apart, Makoto would visit South Korea rather frequently, even after sheâd moved with Akira to New York, and she would spend much of her time with him and his mother, Ji-Yeon.
In this time, he came to know his aunt very well and would even get excited whenever heâd hear that she was coming to visit. She would bring him gifts from holidays and birthdays sheâd missed and would tell him stories in her sing-song voice, muttering her typical haiku at bed-time. In a way, she had almost become a second mother to him, despite how little heâd seen her by comparison.
But his mother had a certain bitterness of her own and while she loved her sister, his aunt, so, too, had she hated her, and he had to watch it all unfold the final time Makoto would visit - and hear it nearly every day since. It was jealousy that gripped Ji-yeon and as she threw the gift Makoto had brought her for her birthday down on the hardwood of the family home, she would scream - harshly - that her sister was foolish, running off to New York to be with a man who couldnât bear what it meant to be a family, what it meant to be a father, and how could she be satisfied with half-truths and the lowly job of a nurse? Why was she satisfied with a liar? How could she not want to be a doctor, a surgeon? It was, in this moment, that their relationship as sisters had fallen apart, but as time dribbled on, Min-Joon came to understand that neither his mother nor his aunt were to blame, but Akira.
Heâd learned of a truth anyone else might be desperate to forget. As he grew older, he was able to recognize a lie, a secret, a half-truth, and it made him uneasy. How could Akira do this to not only his family, but Min-Joonâs? How could Akira sneak around behind Makotoâs back and father another son, allow another man to raise him, and not take responsibility for any of it?
When news of his auntâs death reached him, finally, at an age his parents believed he might be able to handle it (14), he could feel only a sharp sadness, one that made him feel heavy andâŚalone. Altogether, heâd found himself in a pit, angry at his parents for having kept it from him for six years, and angrier still that Akira had died along with her before he could ever have a chance to ask him what was going through his head, why heâd hurt so many people without regret. His cousins - or, rather, his siblings - had not fared well throughout any of this either, and he felt, now, that it was his duty to find something, anything, that might allow him to see them in New York, to be there with them.
And, so, he buttoned up, swallowed his emotions and began an early career in photography and modeling. It wasnât particularly difficult for him. In fact, he took to it like a fish to water, quickly rising in popularity. It wasnât until he turned about 20 years old that heâd finally managed to move over to New York, yet the only sibling he could manage to contact was Mineko. He couldnât bear to tell her the truth, not yet, and so heâd focused only on getting to know her under the pretense that she was his cousin, apologizing for her loss and only now being able to come see her. For a time, he kept it to himself, hoping to speak to Mineo at least once before heâd gather his courage to tell them at once, but Mineo proved impossible to reach. âBuried in work,â Mineko would say, a tear in her eye.
     Min-Joon grew even more bitter.
Set to inherit a Korean law firm, and more money than anyone could ever dream of, he has done nothing but forge his own path, live his own life, because the life his mother and 'fatherâ had built for him was not truly his. He couldnât stand it - and heâd hated it more and more knowing who he was, knowing he had other siblings, knowing who his father was. It was all one slap in the face after another and it disgusted him.
Now that Mineko is gone, left to rot in the ground, he is angry - and Mineo would bear the brunt of it all.

TEN GOOD THINGS IN 2023
1. New York / poetry readings â sometime around September, I got to feed an old, ostensibly impractical dream thatâs emerged and lurked around since two decades ago. I wrote a poem and got to read it aloud in a wonderful art studio around Chelsea, teeming with so much talent and heart, thanks to the incredible @mirabile---visu. Thank you, dear friend, for giving my poem a home. I will remember this forever and hold dear to heart all the honest conversations we had over pizza, art and wine <3 you are such an inspiration and I canât wait to see you again! Thank you too to the insanely talented @go-haywire for putting my words into print and allowing them to rest in a well-bound sanctuary â I carried it with me in New York as a lucky charm, and will always be eternally grateful for your generosity and faith.
2. New Zealand â sometime in April, in between jobs, I got to visit the amazing @tsaritsa in NZ, and it was two weeks of peace and great novelty, including but not limited to riding on a horse, feeding penguins, and donning on a firefighter costume! We also walked a ton and talked a lot and gazed upon a blanket of stars. Thank you for all your hospitality and love which I will never forget (and see you in 2024?!)
3. Other travels â I travelled a lot around Asia this year, for work and for fun! I got to see the cherry blossoms for the first time in my life with Japan with my partner. We also got to celebrate his birthday there, and it was an all around lovely trip; Iâm really happy he got to have this break because heâs been truly working so hard in 2023. I also ushered in the new year with a dear friend in South Korea; the fireworks were nothing short of spectacular! We got a strawberry shortcake after and returned to our cute little apartment to just wind down and pen down our hopes for 2023 :) I also got to visit Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for work, which were really exciting experiences!
4. Job switch â sometime in April, I was confronted with this HUGE dilemma of staying here in my hometown or moving to⌠a tax-free desert⌠the latter meant Iâd at least be able to stay with my previous firm, but after a lot of coffees and deep consideration I decided it was better to move on to someplace else and stay put so I could spend more time with my partner. In hindsight it was probably the best decision I couldâve made; 2023 has been quite emotionally distressing for us and I wouldâve hated to see him ensure all of that alone. I was mildly apprehensive at first about the switch, but Iâve been really blessed to have the most wonderful colleagues and bosses and am really excited to see whatâs in store next :)
5. Meeting new friends, and in a similar vein, catching up and reuniting with old ones :) New York was a dream, in large part due to meeting some of the most luminous souls Iâve had the serendipitous pleasure of knowing during the pandemicâfirst over a screen, and then in person, over karaoke, and bagels, and coffee, and ice cream, and of course fried chicken LOL. @x-rainflame-x @roseofbattles @nightofnyx8 @beware-thegemini @thatisadamnfinecupofcoffee @annespelledwithane it was so so precious getting to meet you all in New York and I will cherish our time there together forever!
6. Learning a languageâI try to learn at least one new word a day, and Iâve also been working on my Japanese since moving into a Japanese firm. It really helps as well to have colleagues that I can practice withâI took classes briefly in college but it sort of just drifted out of my memory after the pandemic because I didnât speak it regularly, but now that I do itâs been super fun!
7. Getting into Spy x Family â and consequently, getting back into fic writing :) all of this is @nightofnyx8âs fault btw, now I have to pretend I like this stupid fake family a normal amount (when Iâm just obsessed an unhealthy amount lmao)
8. Fraud/investigations work â this basically consumed the entirety of my Nov/Dec and thereâs not much I can divulge about it (apart from the fact that it pretty much aged me by a decade) but⌠I felt like Loid Forger and it was fun being a spy for a month. the end
9. Dealing better with anxiety (?)âquestion mark because my progress is⌠questionable. On one hand I think Iâve gotten a lot better at regulating (or perhaps suppressing) a lot of associated feelings, but it still gets frightening on occasion when the dam breaks free without much prior warning. Regardless I think itâs a marked improvement from the countless menty bs back in college lmao. To be very frank, having a stable income of sorts has helped a great deal; in college I was constantly plagued with the fear of not having enough to purchase required materials or at times food, and it was just a lot to deal with. It felt like there was no room for failure because I only had myself to rely upon, and success was the only tenable avenue out of poverty, but being able to now obtain necessities and even additional wants has done wonders for my mental health. Itâs true that money doesnât happiness, and I spend a great deal of time daily mulling over capitalism and consumerism and the like, but I cannot deny the sense of security it affords.
10. And finally, falling deeper in love everyday :) itâs easy to think we know a great deal about someone, except we donât. People may appear simple, but the truth is weâre all a work in progress, and by extension, a continuing story. I could read a million books and write a million poems, but beloved, believe meâyou will always be my favourite.
Goodbye 2023, and hello 2024!

New medication got my brain acting up, all emotionless and sleepy and stuff, but Iâm trying really hard to appreciate how cool this day was.
So many cool things happened. Iâm trying really really hard to be appreciative and excited and to remember how wild this all is.
I came out here mostly just to see Weezer. This is my first time in New York, and it was my first day to really walk around by myself. I didnât do anything because I couldnât afford to lol but I was eating pizza, and I dropped my AirPod and a cute boy picked it up and was all nice to me! I was like, âI LOVE NEW YORK!â
At some point, my new friend posted this in the Mexican FOB group chat, and I got all emotional lol
I was going to be seeing Weezer for the second time (the first time was in KOREA?? What theâŚ), performing one of my favorite albums from start to finish, like a week before seeing Green Day for the first time, doing something similar, two weeks before seeing Fall Out Boy for the ??th time, in MEXICO, a place Iâve been wanting to visit for YEARS?! How is this even happening? And then I found this out and almost broke down:
I was seeing Weezer the same day I saw Fall Out Boy for the first time 11(?) years ago. If I only knew what kinda crazy stuff Iâd be up to now?? Spending all of my money following my favorite band(s)/artists around the world? Wild.
So glad to still be here (today lol).
Younger me,
Itâs me again. It actually gets even better. Youâre not gonna see Fall Out Boy just once. Youâre gonna see them a BUNCH, in MORE THAN ONE COUNTRY, on MULTIPLE CONTINENTS. That show was just the START. And all those other bands and artists you thought youâd never see? Youâre gonna see them too, and theyâre going to be playing all of the songs you fuckin LOVE. All of the ones that made you love them in the first place. Youâre cute, and you made it. Youâll be glad you didnât give up (today lol).
Remember this.
Love,
Me

-born and raised in san francisco, california until he moved to south korea at the age of 21. he grew up as an only child with a single mother that never truly took care of him and her sister who practically raised him whenever his mother would go out doing who knows what.
-he grew up doing everything and anything to get his mother's love and attention but it was never enough and so, his heart slowly turns cold like the winter breeze in december. he grew not being able to talk about his emotions well, causing him to be an avoidant person which he knows is a problem.
-luckily for him, he was an academic weapon all throughout school but he was never truly invested in any of the subjects. his love for food outshined everything as it was the only consistent thing that his mother would give him; pizza that she would pick up at a local pizzeria the way he sees it is that it was her way of telling him that she loves him which is what gave him a shimmer of hope he had left for the two of them.
-he hardly had contact with his mother as the only time she would reach out was for his birthday or to give updates on her health. he wishes that she would call him more often or that he could but he doesn't think there's enough room in his heart for potential disappointment or rejection so he decides against it.
-after pursuing a degree in culinary arts and working multiple jobs as different genres of cooks, he manages to take off into fame after appearing as a contestant on "master chef" and winning the title. he now owns a handful of restaurant chains that are scattered from korea, california and new york. he focuses on traditional korean food with a slight twist.
-after hearing about her son's success, she begins to call and text him more frequently, asking if he'd move back in with her and provide for her like a good son that he is. hearing these things overwhelmed him as he resents her for not being the parent figure that he wanted so badly. he decides to board the odyssey as a way to escape from her and from reality.

B I O
Growing up without parents is something that no one should have to suffer through, but unfortunately for Theodore, he had no choice. When he was eight years old, his parents were taken from him too soon, due to a drunk driving accident. He himself was in the car along with them, but fortunately he wasnât harmed in the collision apart from a few scrapes and bruises here and there. Despite being so young when he lost his parents, he remembers them with crystal clear accuracy. He was very close to his parents, especially his mother. He was what people would normally call a mamaâs boy.
Unlike a lot of boys who cling to their fathers while growing up, Teddy found himself clinging to his mother instead. He formed a special bond with her that people couldnât really understand and after a while stopped trying to understand. He spent a lot of time with her during the first six years of his life. She was an art school teacher, and she would bring him along with her to work, which was the jumping off point for his love of art. Everything he knows about art today stems from watching her teach her classes, and while he couldnât really comprehend everything she was saying back then, he was exposed to it quite early, which made it easier for him to adjust to art and all its forms when he started to really study it.
When he was just a few years old, his parents had another baby. He was excited to have a younger sibling, one that he could take care of and have a strong bond with. His little sibling had a love for art as well, and that was something they both bonded over. Even though they were both very young, it was very obvious that the both of them wanted to be artists in some way, shape or form. Their mother surrounded them with art and they both took to it like fish to water. His younger sibling was incredibly close to him, and he loved the bond that the two of them shared. Despite the difference in their ages, they were practically best friends who did everything together.
When their parents passed away, the two of them were forced to separate from one another. They werenât given a choice in the matter because they were so young. Almost immediately his sibling was adopted and he was placed in foster care, something that he hated with every fiber of his being. The foster family he lived with drove him absolutely crazy. They were diehard Catholics and always tried to enforce their views and religious values onto him, which he had no choice but to accept when he was growing up. As he grew older, the more they tried to force religion onto him, the more he rejected it. By the time he was twelve or thirteen years of age, he had already come to the conclusion that he would not follow through with any religion once he came of age. The idea of organized religion had already been tainted for him, and he no longer wanted anything to do with it anymore. Despite his conclusion that he wouldnât affiliate himself with any religions anymore, his foster parents forced him to attend bible study, Sunday school and even made him participate in the churchâs art classes for children. Although that was something he didnât really mind in the slightest. Being a part of the churchâs art class had somewhat revitalized the love he had for art when he was a little kid, and he found himself looking forward for church every Sunday, because that meant he got to do what he loved.
As soon as he turned eighteen, Teddy set off on his search for his younger sibling, wanting to find them and reconnect with them. His foster parents hadnât allowed him to do so while he was growing up, but now that he was legal and officially out from under their thumb, he knew there was nothing they could do to stop him from looking for his lost sibling. His search for his kin led him to South Korea, where his parents grew up. Upon finding his sibling and reconnecting with them, he also fell in love with the country. It was the exact change of scenery that he needed and had given him a new incentive to continue on with his art.Â
These days, Theodore works as a freelance artist and when heâs not making money doing commissions and projects for people here and there, he makes a living being a personal trainer. He hopes to someday kick off his career as a professional, full time artist, but until then, heâs happy having it as a side job and hobby.
C O N N E C T I O N S
his younger sibling: self explanatory, i'll probably send in a wc to the main for this one, but if you're interested and have a muse that fits or you want to bring in a muse in the future that might fit, just let me know!
ex ( multiple ): teddy is a lover through and through, so it's not surprising that he's had a few relationships here and there. some lasting longer than others.
fwb ( multiple ): a guy's got needs, and this person never fails to fulfill them whenever he calls on them and vice versa.
inspo: teddy's made art pieces about / for this person before.
best friend / platonic soulmate: the peanut butter to teddy's jelly. the patrick to teddy's spongebob. the milk to teddy's cereal.
bad influence: teddy, despite his appearance, is a lot sweeter and soft than he appears to be. this person is the one that talks him into tapping into his not so nice side. he's been taken advantage of for his kindness before, and this person is tired of seeing people use teddy like that.
tug-of-war: these two go back and forth. one minute they're going on outings and dates and are all cuddled up, then the next they're arguing and fussing. a hot and cold type of relationship that teddy can't seem to get out of. they care for each other, but whenever they try to be anything more than friends, it falls apart.
practically roommates ( multiple ): teddy has his own place and his own roommate, but these two are always hanging out at each other's places. teddy really enjoys their company and vice versa.
note: if you can't find anything to your liking here, we can always brainstorm!

𦷠+ 𪽠+ đż from the ask list!! i love your marvel polyship ahhh you guys are so cute!! - adam @/lipsticklens â
Thank you for the ask!!! I might not have answered Iâm full extent but hereâs the bare bones of it. This really helped fleshing out the lore a bit.
𦷠how did you first meet your f/o? what made you realize you were falling in love with them? what made them realize they were falling in love with you?
Oh man
Wade and Logan
Wade and Logan were kind of a package deal. My s/i (Jaime) is a mutant with a very valuable ability. Jaimeâs current employer owner hired Logan to guard him. And then one of Jaimeâs employerâs owner competitors hired Wade to assassinate Jaime.
Shenanigans ensue.
âHeyyyy honey badger can you step aside? Iâm about to murder the fuck out of this guy.â
âDo you know this guy?â Jaime asks
*tired sigh* âHeâs my roommate.â
*offended gasp* âAnd history will call them roommates! : (â
Cue a long, violent montage of Wade is trying to kill Jaime and then Logan stepping in to protect him. After everything is said and done, Wade just kills Jaimeâs employer owner and the guy who hired him. Jaime moves in with Wade, Logan, and Al.
The three of them dance around each other for awhile in the most confusing roommate/situationship in all of roommate history. They donât actually get together until they see other people.
Jake Lockely
If I was to sum up the story of how they met and fell in love it in fanfic title format, it would be âfive times the Jake came to the rescue + one time Jaime didâ
Jaime started dating Jake, but their relationship was pretty rocky and confusing. Until Jake told Jaime about his system and all the shit theyâre dealing with. Jaime got to know Marc and Steven and eventually started dating Steven.
(Steven and Marc are still married to Layla, Layla is a metamour - their relationship is too cute for me to retcon)
Peter Parker
Peter and Jaime meet because Peter starts dating Wade. After Wade gets kidnapped Jaime, Peter, The moon knight system, and Logan team up to rescue him.
Peter and Jaime really bond on this mission. First on their love for Wade (Logan couldâve gotten in on the âwe love Wade Winston Wilson deeplyâ bonding time but heâs too emotionally closed off). But then they started connecting over other things.
Venom & Eddie
Venom and Eddie move to New York for a fresh start. Jaime is working as a food delivery driver. Venom and Eddie order a lot of fast food that Jaime always somehow ends up delivering to them. Cue the unsavory âpizza delivery pornoâ jokes from Wade.
Things are very messy and undefined for awhile. Until Jaime sits everyone down in a circle and essentially says âtalk about your feelingsâ. Itâs a hard conversation to have with a bunch of emotionally constipated superheroes but in the end itâs cathartic and the polycule was born.
: do you and your f/o enjoy traveling together? do you do it often? what's your favorite place that you've traveled with them?
I travel with Eddie and Venom quite a bit. Wherever we go Venom in most interested in the food. Steven and I make a point to going to museums. I would also travel with Wade but you canât take him anywhere. Peter and Logan donât have much interest in travel. Iâd say our favorite place to travel as a polycule would probably be South Korea. There was something there for everyone; plenty of museums and historical sights for Steven, K-pop merch for Wade, lots of new foods for Venom to try. Everyoneâs really busy all the time so finding time for leisure can be difficult.
đż reveal your music taste! share some songs that you and your f/o enjoy. how about some albums? some artists?
Wade and I both are fans of k-pop! I like to think we are fans of different bands so we argue sometimes. (Iâm not a toxic fan I promise all bands are valid I just think itâs funny to imagine arguing with Wade on who the most influential band is and arguing about scandals)

Here, sneaker collectors are a diverse bunch, united by their passion for fresh kicks and street style. Youâll find them lining up outside sneaker boutiques at the crack of dawn, hoping to snag the latest limited edition release.

Across the pond in London, sneaker collecting takes on a distinctly British flair. From the trendy neighborhoods of Shoreditch to the posh streets of Mayfair, Londoners are putting their own spin on sneaker culture.
Here, youâll find a mix of tradition and street style, with collectors blending classic British brands like Clarks and Dr. Martens with the latest offerings from sneaker giants like Adidas and Puma.
And letâs not forget about the iconic sneaker markets like Camden Market and Portobello Road, where collectors can score rare finds and vintage gems. In London, sneaker collecting is all about mixing the old with the new and making a statement thatâs uniquely British.
Seoul: Kicks and K-pop Rule the Streets
Last but certainly not least, we head to the bustling metropolis of Seoul, South Korea, where sneaker culture is on another level. Here, the intersection of fashion, music, and streetwear collide in spectacular fashion. With K-pop idols setting the style trends and sneaker shops on every corner, Seoul is a sneaker collectorâs paradise.
Whether youâre strolling through the trendy neighborhoods of Gangnam or exploring the hidden gems of Hongdae, youâll find collectors flaunting their latest finds with pride.
And with local brands like Fila and Reebok making a comeback in a big way, Seoulites are proving that when it comes to sneakers, theyâre always one step ahead of the curve.
The Bottom Line
From Tokyo to New York City and beyond, sneaker collecting knows no bounds. Whether youâre into high fashion or street style, thereâs a sneaker community out there waiting to welcome you with open arms (and fresh kicks).
So lace up those Jordans, tighten those Yeezys, and join the global sneaker revolution. After all, lifeâs too short to wear boring shoes.

Tasting Traditions -Â A Journey Through AAPI Culinary Delights
As May unfolds, so does the celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to honor and appreciate the rich cultural diversity of AAPI communities. One of the most delightful ways to explore this heritage is through its cuisine. From the fast paced streets of Asia to the fusion kitchens of the West, AAPI food offers an array of flavors and textures that reflect centuries of tradition.
Street Eats
In hustling Asian cities, the streets come alive with the sights and sounds of street vendors selling a variety of treats. From steaming bowls of noodle soup to savory dumplings and crispy spring rolls, street food is an integral part of AAPI culinary culture. In Thailand, Pad Thai reigns supreme, a flavorful stir-fried noodle dish packed with shrimp, tofu, peanuts, and lime. Meanwhile, in Japan, takoyaki, or octopus balls, excite foodies with their crispy exterior and tender, flavorful filling.
In Taiwan, the night markets offer a treasure trove of street eats, with foods like stinky tofu, bubble tea, and beef noodle soup. These vibrant markets are always filled with full bellies, where locals and tourists alike gather to sample a diverse array of snacks and delicacies that make up the region.
Traditional Favorites
Beyond street food, AAPI cuisine also boasts a variety of traditional dishes that vary from region to region. In China, the cuisine is as diverse as the country itself, with regional specialties ranging from spicy Sichuan hot pot to Cantonese dim sum. Japanese cuisine, known for its emphasis on fresh ingredients and meticulous preparation, offers a variety of delights, from sushi and sashimi to warm bowls of ramen and hearty plates of katsu curry.
Meanwhile, in Korea, dishes like kimchi, bulgogi, and bibimbap showcase the bold flavors and colors of Korean cuisine. Each dish is a celebration of the country's heritage, passed down through generations and cherished by families.
Fusion Cuisine
As AAPI communities have spread across the globe, their culinary traditions have adapted to new environments and influences as well. The result is a vibrant fusion cuisine that blends the flavors and techniques of the East and West. In cities like Los Angeles and New York, chefs are putting innovative twists on classic dishes, creating culinary mashups that go against typical categories
From Korean tacos, Vietnamese banh mi burgers, sushi burritos, and Thai-inspired pizzas, fusion cuisine offers a glimpse into the creative minds of AAPI chefs. These culinary experiments push the regular boundaries and conventions while celebrating the adaptability of AAPI food culture.
Conclusion
As we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month, let's take a moment to savor the rich world of flavors and traditions that define AAPI cuisine. Whether it's the comforting familiarity of a bowl of noodles or the bold flavors of a fusion creation, AAPI food offers a delicious journey through centuries of history and innovation.
