It's legal and access is enshrined in the state constitution for one!

In Illinois you can access medication abortion both in person and via telehealth up to 12 weeks (through Carafem) or 11 weeks (through Planned Parenthood). Several Planned Parenthood locations offer procedural abortions, including one in Chicago, one in Aurora, one in Flossmoor and one in Springfield, and near the border in the St. Louis area there are PPs that offer procedural abortion up to 26 and 28 weeks as well as an independent site called Hope Clinic which goes to 24 weeks.
