so i don’t doxx us, let’s set our location to nashville.
look at that, a cinnabon place is needing a shift leader, i have matching qualifications, and they’re paying UP to 15.50/hr. because of that, we have zero idea what the rate is, and it could be dead min wage
the job description says it’s a customer service oriented job, meaning there’s probably next to zero physical activity involved, which would be good for our disabled ass
but what’s this?
why would i ever need to be able to carry lift or push anything up to 50 pounds if it’s a customer service job
let’s look at another job, this is a convenience store that says they’re “urgently hiring”
and let’s look at their benifets:
don’t even have an employee discount
but there’s probably some actual, legitimate job listings on indeed right? probably, but i’ve applied for over 300 jobs within a year, and 90% of them didn’t even email me back. 5% gave me a denial, and only 5% actually set me up for an interview, which of course they didn’t accept me except for a job at chipotle back in florida and now a shitty job at a shit cafe.
and that’s not even taking into consideration we are extremely disabled and have chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and POTS which means standing for long periods of time is very bad for us
and of course we don’t have a car, so we have to take ubers everywhere. the job pays 12/hr, and the trip there is typically 20 dollars. for a 6 hour shift, a fourth of the time spent working is wasted on even getting there. and we get to make our body even worse while we get paid jackshit

Up Faith and Family has been available as an indie streamer since 2013, starting out with its G Movies service and rebranding to Up Faith and Family in 2018. It’s like we were selling wagons and then all of a sudden it’s 1910 and there are cars going by on the road. We got into the streaming business without completely losing our wagon business.”
With the GaitherTV+ and Minno pacts, Humbard is eager to see how Up’s target audience responds to a diversified offering. Up’s research has found that there are about 60 million consumers in the U.S. who identify as “seeking uplifting programming services that align with their values.” That gives Up plenty of runway.
“We’re like Netflix without all the dark stuff,” Humbard joked. “We have documentaries, dramas, comedies, kids shows — everything Netflix has and it’s all uplifting.”
Gaither’s library of musical series and specials will be catnip to the Up audience, Humbard predicted.
“We had no idea when we began recording videos where mass media and communication would one day be,” said Gaither. “It is exciting to see our decades of performances and songs become available to folks far and wide through the work that Up Entertainment is doing.
