Some of the fandom are choosing to interpret Mythal as being Solas's abuser as a way to minimize his culpability in his actions. Tbh I don't care for it, I think there is nuance to Mythal and Solas's relationship and a level of unhealthy codependency exists between the two but the abusive read coming from a lot of folks feels too much like the fandom throwing a female character under the bus to absolve their male fave for my liking and it doesn't feel like a good faith take from about 90% of the people posting about it.

Nah I don't think it's that nefarious 😅

I don't even think its wrong to read deeper into the text & fill in the gaps Veilguard left but I do think its headcanon/subjective.

At the risk of being called 'media illiterate' during BHM the evidence -- like his body language in the final scene or Mythal's tone when asking him to corporealize -- isn't very convincing to me.
