My sleep schedule is cursed to be whatever is most inconvenient to me, except for the rare occasion where I need to get up at a really weird time and then I feel refreshed
#melon rambles#for example I could not fall asleep before 12am for most of this semester which made my morning classes difficult#but now I need to stay up past 9pm each night to film an assignment for my class and I get so tired now at like 8pm#I've put off this assignment so much because I just get so tired when I need to film it#and sleepy brain rules over every other part of my brain#However the being able to wake up at weird times feeling refreshed thing is very useful like one night a year#and that is Thanksgiving when I go to bed at 9ish and wake up somewhere between midnight and 2am and I start making my pumpkin shaped rolls#My parents use the kitchen literally everytime the day before and on Thanksgiving and I can't really prep it ahead of time#So my only option is to start the four hour practice of painstakingly making and shaping the dough in the middle of the night#It actually works out really well because I HATE being in a crowded kitchen and baking in the middle of the night is quite peaceful#plus the dough has to rise like three separate times#so I just take a little nap on the couch while it does that#When the dough rests I rest
