why is it when i tell my parents i've already tried all the solutions i could find online they ignore it and tell me to try googling the issue. I DID!!! and my dad is all "call me i can give you some workarounds" like hell i'm calling you right now, you're going to yell at me when none of it works. and my mom is telling me to try live support options. girl hell no i am physically incapable of talking to support in real time. it took me months to email customer support about something the single time i've ever done that (and then their solution didn't work for me and i just haven't emailed back about it). glad you're capable of talking to people like a normal person but i would rather die and also i have other homework i need to do today so i can't do this rn

some feelings abt touya and bnha 302 in general! (long post)
jesus this whooooole chapter makes me so so so sad for touya, like he's canonically a crier and i just have all these images now of him crying off to the side while enji looks at his other kids and gives them the time of day. knowing that he was/is a frustrated crier makes the fact that dabi cant cry cuz of his burned tear ducts that much sadder ohhman
one of the things i cant get over is how touya was SO shunned by his dad that when he went to go tell enji about his fire turning from red to blue, he says "i might be as awesome as shouto sooner or later!" like?? this boy is 13 and shouto is 5 yet he's talking like the brother that's eight years younger than him is better than him and thar it's just a fact. the sky is blue, enji wants to beat all might one day, and shouto is better than the rest of his siblings. nevermind that he's only five and just wants to play with his siblings (and dont even mention to me how shouto says he wants to play with "touya and them" cuz im gonna fucking cry abt it. like even though touya's accepted he's bottom of the ladder in this family, shouto clearly wants some sort of acknowledgement from his older siblings and especially his older brother. IM FVCKN SOBBN). enji has made it clear in this family that shouto was what he was looking for and everyone else is not as important, and i knew this from shouto's pov but it's kinda wild to see it implied so casually in touya's words.
"you'll be glad you created me! i just know it!" HOLY SHIT. god my heart. oh my fuck. literally all enji had to do was show up to the fucking mountain, and he couldnt even do that? what the hell?? your son asks you to go to the mountain, you tell your wife not to let him go traim but she said she couldnt stop him, and instead of going yourself to make sure he's okay and BECAUSE HE ASKED YOU TO COME (and with an actually valid reason, no less! fire changing colour is kind of a big fucking deal!!!) you just?? let him go and let him stay there??? my god the amount of times touya must have burned himself and the trees with tears in his eyes. ahhhHHH!!!
what kills me (and touya too soon?) was that we thought before the back story started that enji forced touya to train till he burned up. then when 290 came out--and definitely after 301--we thought maybe touya overtrained himself and burned up. and sure, he was definitely overtraining, but to find out that the burns that "killed" him started just bc he was crying so much he lost control and didnt know how to ease up on his flames? he was upset and literally trying to get himself to stop crying, and then he just set himself aflame and burned up cuz of all his emotions??? that HURTS. holy fuck.
i cant believe natsuo's feeling lowkey guilty for not socking enji in the face like he wasnt EIGHT???? and let's be real, enji woukdnt have fucking listened to natsuo telling him to talk to touya--he already wasnt listening when touya would straight up say "look at me" and when even rei said touya just wanted enji to look at him and notice him. listen, i know sometimes miscommunications happen in families and children are embarrassed to admit they want attention and so their parents remain unaware that theyre not giving their kid something they want, but touya was as clear as can be on MANY occasions, and even rei agreed touya needed the attention and enji just wasnt listening.
also i know there was discourse abt touya being sexist by telling natsu that "the women in this house are good for nothing" and mb it was partly diff translations cuz i feel like saying "this house" makes it specific to rei and yumi instead of all women everywhere, but even disregarding that--i think it's a valid thought for him to have when rei wasnt standing up for him (where he could see, at least) and yumi admitted herself that she was too scared to interfere and so just tried to fix things and keep appearances. i feel like based on what touya's seen from them, it makes sense that he has that opinion. (also gonna mention that i think rei's and yumi's choices also make sense and i think they were valid, seeing as how they were afraid as well.)
and poor natsu being woken up in the middle of the night (what was implied to be often enough, esp cuz it seemed they share a room and their futons are close) bc of touya's pain. that's a lot of emotional responsibility for an eight year old, and it is also so sad that at 13, touya didnt have anyone else to turn to but his kid brother. at 13, i remember being fully aware of the distinction in maturity between an 8 year old and myself, and it sucks that touya couldnt go to anyone but a younger child with all his pain. i bet yumi being too scared to interfere translated to touya as "she wouldnt help me" and thats another reason he didnt go to the 2nd oldest when he needed to vent. (also not related to this but how the FUCK was natsuo so tall at 8 years old? wh a t)
this chapter. this fucking chapter. my heart aches for touya, and it's just such a huge fucking shame he didnt get the attention and validation and support he needed. there must have been workarounds so that touya could safely use his quirk. there weere DEFINITELY better ways to support your son through a self-destructive quirk, ways that involved actually being there and seeing him. i feel like if someone showed him the attention he needed and talked him through how to better control his emotions (and by extension, his flames) and a positive and healthy way, he could have been someone so great. and if he ever learned how to set aside the way he felt infefior to shouto and saw that shouto just wanted to play with his cool older siblings, it might have been really beneficial to see that there was someone there who thinks he's cool and gave him attention just bc he was an older brother, who needed him when everyone else in the househild didnt seem to need him.
and lastly, the fact that the chapter ends with rei saying that shouto is the family hero and that shouto will have to face dabi?? and it makes me angry that shouto has to take on that responsibility. that he was five and suffering for things he wasnt even a part of, couldnt be properly aware of, bc he was so young. he just saw that he was separated from his siblings and that his dad bullied his mom, then grew up shouldering enji's heavy goals and high expectations and abusive training alongside the barely-there memories of his older brother who died (i say barely there bc if natsu didnt even know shouto liked cold soba, shouto was definitely not around enough to have solid memories of touya before he "died"), and now he has to do the emotional labour of fighting his villain brother (who i bet shouto lowkey empathizes with when he thinks abt it late at night) as well as suffer the physical consequences of that agni kai. and it makes me angry that he has to do that, bc he's a Good Guy and he probably feels he has some sort of filial and familial responsibility. he's only 16. he just wanted to play with touya and them, and now he has to deal with this horse shit dabi's causing cuz his dad's an emotionally neglecting asshat who couldnt see past his dumb fucking ego until he saw shouto play with a bunch of kids during shou's remedial exam a decade after his eldest son burned himself to death. what the fuckety fuck.
lastly, since we saw touya burn uo the way he did... did he really just like... burn so much his jaw fell off, and that's how they found the jawbone? cuz holy hot (BURNING too soon???) damn that must have been painful as all hell. i wonder if next chapter we get to see if someone found touya at the park and helped him out and sorted out the jaw bone thing, or if we finally get to see if deku wakes up lol.
anyways this chapter hurt my heart big time, and i kinda wanna draw kid touya crying while being overlooked by his family to let out some of those feelings but we'll see.
and i still stand by my idealistic and naively optimistic hope that dabi gets redeemed and they soend some actually time together as a family (without enji. or at least, with an enji that has apologized to touya in seiza. like, forehead-to-floor apologize.)
does this hope sort out how dabi redeems himself, seeing as how he's murdered people in cold blood and shouldnt be excused for that bc those actions are also inarguably terrible? no. not sure how he could redeem himself for that kinda stuff honestly, but it doesnt mean i dont still somehow want the todoroki sibs to get along, cuz im weak for mending families.
also id like to send a huge kudos out into the world to rei todoroki for being firm for once and for also not running away from her mistakes like her asshole husband has been. i really admire and respect that. she was afraid and being abused, but now that she's been away from enji and has had time to heal, now that her and shouto are in the mend and she's seen that her eldest son is alive and a villain, she's a place where she can acknowledge that even though she was a victim too, she played a part in touya's emotional neglect and she's taking responsibility and that speaks to some incredible fucking strength. damn.
i hope one day that dabi realizes the same in regards to his mother and natsuo, who shouldered a lot of his emotional pain and suffered the consequences of his outbursts (even though his emotions are valid and his outbursts understandable, he still hurt rei and put a lot of pressure on natsu), and i also hope he sees that for all that he hates his father, his whole existence revolves around enji and it's a shitty place to be (and then he'll have ANGST abt it and that shit will be!! so good!!!)
yeah i think those were all my feelings. i had so many lol. their family situation is so difficult, i hope they all turn out okay and alive and healing.
oh i guess i also wanted to say that i kept calling enji an asshat and asshole cuz he was for sure, but i still think his redemption is valid and im glad he's taking those steps to be a better person by being a better father. i dont know if id want his family to forgive him for all that horrible shit he put them through (im personally hoping that no matter what anyone else does, natsuo will choose to to cooperate in the healing of his family as a unit but will never forgive enji) but i think it's good of people to try to be better than they were yesterday regardless of whether or not they get forgiveness. i dont personally like enji, but i dont hate that he's getting a redemption. i just hope it's a redemption that makes sense and forces him to put in the work, and isnt something like a death sacrifice for shouto or dabi. i want him to be alive and i want his redemption process to hurt like a fucking bitch while he forces himself to make better choices and be a better person, cuz redemption isnt supposed to be easy in the slightest. i GUESS all the crying he did in 302 was a good start.
anyways, if for some reason you read all the way down to the bottom--hello! and thanks for reading haha. cheers! :)))

I Need To Stop Reading Into Things…😂
Yet again for @kiricookie .
[Check out this post first.]
So… we’re here again. Lord forgive me, I’m back on my bulls***.
Okay, jokes aside, I really should stop doing these things, but I am a stubborn individual. Plus, I wanna see how our notes compare, and try to have more civil discussions on the internet than I see on average. I’d reblog, but again, your post is already long as is (not incredibly long, but still), and I’d rather not occupy dashboard space more than I need to.
Alright, I think I’ve said my piece. Let’s talk about your post…
Oof. Starting right in the heart of the issue, really.
I am aware that Izuku is… incredibly likeable. I am aware that some of his issues, while perceived by some as noble, are heavily problematic and probably need to get sorted out before the boy gets a close audience with death. I am also aware that some of his habits are less than courteous in some circumstances, though like you said, Izuku has the benefit of having no malicious intent when it comes to these actions, even if they can come off as annoying.
Now, regarding Katsuki’s snail pace development… I get what you’re trying to say, but that doesn’t make it come off as any less frustrating...
As much as I want to believe that Katsuki’s upbringing in society is what’s stunted his growth so badly, I wish the narrative was more willing to show it. All we’ve gotten of Katsuki’s past are flashbacks from Izuku, remarks during the visit to the Bakugo household, and the “raised with violence” line from the Remedial Course arc. Now this understandably paints a pretty terrible picture, but uh… what has Katsuki done to try to fix it? How has Katsuki tried to demonstrate that his upbringing wasn’t justified? Why is he imitating the behaviors he supposedly despises, that supposedly keep him held back, instead of trying to find a workaround? I’ve only seen a few growth/redemption arcs of antagonistic characters, but even if the arcs took long, there was always an ultimate reason for doing so. And Katsuki doesn’t have that. At least, not yet.
It’s been implicitly established that Katsuki’s growth will be the mother of all slowburns. I’ve mentioned it in this old post of mine, but this is doing Katsuki no favors, at least for me. Now don’t get me wrong, I love myself a flawed character, but there’s only so much I can stomach before a flawed character becomes less “flawed” and more “asshole.” I personally believe that his true growth doesn’t get started until “Deku vs. Kacchan 2” (Episode 61), but if we really wanna consider that “Bakugo’s Start Line” (Episode 8) is his… well, start line, then that only makes it worse. Because again, his character arc is, as we’ve established, slow. But the fact that it’s slow enough for several other character arcs to transpire (Shoto, Tenya), as well as slow enough to allow “background characters” some significant development and return to relevancy (Eijiro, Hitoshi), I start wanting to stop holding my breath for his arc’s supposedly inevitable conclusion. Now I know you personally consider the suspense a positive, but it’s the opposite for me. I’d chalk it up to impatience, but again, MULTIPLE character arcs have transpired, and a few have been far more believably gradual compared to Katsuki’s.
While it is impressive that Katsuki was willing to pour out his feelings to Izuku, I’d like to argue that it wasn’t as… well, sentimental. Remember that society and Izuku’s peers before UA regarded him as the lowest of the low. The weakest, the most worthless. “The pebble in the path.” Considering that Katsuki lost the Training Exercise AND technically got outsmarted by Izuku, who was considered this until VERY RECENTLY, I’d imagine that’d be one hell of a blow to his ego. It is still significant that he’s willing to talk to Izuku about this, but it’s not exactly because he’s humbling himself. It’s because he’s begrudgingly admitting that he’s not the best, and it’s been well established that he HATES not being the absolute best. And I don’t know about you, but suddenly getting your high expectations crushed after years of nothing but “positive reinforcement” should not be made as big of a deal as it is here. I’m not saying to get over it, because you’ll never get over it, you have to live with it and learn from it, but don’t make it seem like it’s the end of the world and a half like Katsuki did in that scene. Plus, didn’t he essentially reaffirm that he was going to do what he planned to do from the start of his tenure at UA? I mean, good on him for his dedication, but you’d think the guy would want to take a step back and actually try to learn from others if they were so impressive.
Now, the DC Superhero franchise falls in and out from my radar at times, but I don’t think Katsuki and Batman are a good comparison for the point you're trying to make. Yes they both use violence, and yes they’re both intimidating, but for entirely different reasons. Batman uses fear tactics because he finds them efficient; I don’t know what they’re doing with his character nowadays, but from what I can gather in his earlier incarnations, Batman’s not out for blood. Vengeace, sure, but he doesn’t waste time getting there beating the snot out of his enemies. He takes care of them, sends them off, and keeps on trucking. Before they tried making him even more edgy, he didn’t kill and he kept away from firearms because he was well aware of any issues he had. He may not be a goodie two-shoes like most heroes, but he does show definitive empathy in some of his earlier incarnations. Remember, Batman was the kid who lost his parents to injustice. That was his entire reason for taking up the cowl, for becoming more than Bruce Wayne. In the Justice League Unlimited Episode “Epilogue,” he has the option to kill Ace, a teen villain with dangerously growing psychic powers. He doesn’t do that. He takes the seat next to Ace as she begins to die. He offers his support as Ace has to confront the terrifying realization that she is dying. He’s helping another scared kid, because he knows what it’s like.
That’s heroism. That’s Batman.
Katsuki’s motivations and actions aren’t as sympathetic. Him lashing out isn’t for anything strategical; early on in the series and even after his “Start Line,” up until the Endeavor Agency Arc, I believe, Katsuki’s sole motivations are victory and bloodlust. Even if it seems like he’s growing more chivalrous with his resolve, he backslides so many times back into the angry loudmouth trope its hard to want to keep hope, because if he can backslide multiple times before, what’s to stop him from backsliding again? It ruins the suspense for some people. And people are intimidated by Katsuki, but that’s because he’s borderline unhinged. I’d be scared s***less too if a pyrokinetic powerhouse was gunning on me with his eyes glowing like the fires of Hell as he radiated killing intent (an exaggeration, but still). I have yet to see Katsuki use this intimidation “tactic” of his beyond the fact that he appears to be enjoying it, either.
Alright, enough of that, let’s analyze that penultimate question: why hate Katsuki? If you asked me early on, I would say that yes, I don’t like him because he hurts Izuku. But as I’ve continued looking throughout the series, I now say that I don’t like him because, contrary to what he says, virtually everything is handed to him. Most of the time, its people mistaking his battle thirst as chivalrous determination, whether it be against a villain or just a standard opponent. He never tries to make himself any more “likeable,” and while Class 1-A is quick to call him out for this in the USJ Arc, by the Sports Festival they’re all flocking to him, and I have yet to understand any proper reasoning for this. It’s less like Katsuki proving there’s more to him than meets the eye and earning the respect of his peers, and more so that people latch on to the abstract concept of Katsuki’s coolness and strength, and he just begrudgingly tolerates them from there.
I mean, Eijiro was wholeheartedly against Katsuki’s actions during the Battle Trial, yet by the USJ the difference is night and day, and it doesn’t help that he’s interpreting Katsuki’s desire to beat up villains as “faith in his classmates.” Shoto was abused by Endeavor, so the fact that he can’t at least draw some comparisons between Katsuki and his sperm donor is slightly concerning, and while I want to chalk it up to his stunted social skills, I feel like Hori and/or his editors trying to shove in a friendship to increase their overall likeability (especially Katsuki’s) is more likely. Don’t even get me started on the hoops they jump through in the Joint Training Arc. Not even gonna touch that…
Okay, finally made it to the last paragraph. So, here’s something about me you may or may not like: I don’t like people dying, good or bad. Unless their actions are comparable to that of Satan, or at least close, then they shouldn’t get the axe. Why?
Because a dead person can’t change… and a dead person can’t suffer.
Believe me, even though I’ve fallen off the bandwagon a long time ago, I want Katsuki to change for the better. And he can’t do that if he’s dead. The manga’s most recent arc has been hella frustrating because of that, and no spoilers, but the two deaths that did occur did not leave me in high spirits. Hawks, Shigaraki, you both are on thin f***ing ice I swear. So no, lucky for you, I do NOT want to see Katsuki dead just because he happens to be an ass. What I wanna see is proper repercussions that go beyond being a villain hostage and having everyone else’s potential trauma downplayed for the sake of giving Katsuki more sympathy points.
Also, I’m well aware Katsuki’s death would absolutely ruin Izuku. I am also well aware that it is one of the few concrete facts I hate with nearly every fiber of my body. Not because of what it says about Izuku…
...but because I am sick and tired of Katsuki continuing to be the arrogant s*** he is, whether it be his genuine feelings or merely a front. I am sick of the fact that for as smart and aware that someone like him is, he still insists on trying to act like a badass when there is no need or overall expectation to do so. I am sick that he continues to decide to put himself and others in jeopardy, all for the purpose of maintaining his ego. I am sick that he gets all this support, all this help, and yet his development is still worse than a snail’s pace, and the narrative continues to keep letting him off with love taps and leaving him unfairly unprepared for the kill shot.
...maybe Katsuki deserves to get better. But is this really the best way to do it? Really?
Thanks for listening. Hope you got something from all of that.

King Falls AM - Episode 9: Jack in the Box Jesus
View on Google Docs
Summary: September 1, 2015 - An alleged sighting of the Lord & Savior at a downtown fast food restaurant has the residents of King Falls ready for deliverance, meanwhile Sammy & Ben try to navigate the flood waters of this revelation.
[podcast intro music]
Mayor Grisham Ladies and gentlemen, I promise you that while it is a terrible inconvenience that our modern electronics are out— this is not the end of the world. It could be a refreshing change of pace! Instead of reading, on your tablet, go down to the King Falls library, and check out the real thing! Instead of texting your BFF, go enjoy some pancake puppies at Rose’s! and have a face-to-face chat. This isn’t as bad as it seems— and it could be a blessing in disguise.
[KFAM intro music]
Sammy Good morning guys and dolls, you’re listening to King Falls AM—
Ben —That’s 660 on the radio dial.
Sammy And this is day 13 of what has been dubbed the King Falls Electrolocaust.
Ben This has easily been the hardest two weeks of my professional career.
Sammy It has been tough, but Ben and I want to thank you, and everyone out there listening, for the continuing support of the show.
Ben We got another doozy of a show for you tonight, King Falls. During hour two, we’ll be interviewing Maria Chandler, manager of the King Falls Apple store, and speaking about the effects the shut down has had on business.
Sammy As well as fielding your calls and talking about whatever’s clever this evening.
Ben I miss computers, Sammy. I miss the schedule. Our automated systems, my alarm clock. I’ve went through three the legal pads in two weeks!
Sammy [sympathetic] I know, buddy.
Ben I would literally watch Channel 13 if given the chance.
Sammy Wow. That’s saying a lot.
Ben [softly] I need my life back.
Sammy King Falls, how are you taking the modern electronic shut down of 2015? Are you refreshed? Reliving the mid-90s? Or— are you falling apart like our dear Ben Arnold?
Ben I’d listen to boy bands, to have a working smartphone. I’d wear, puka shell necklaces and sell my pog collection,[1] if you give me five minutes with my email.
Sammy Look on the bright side, Ben. You’re spending all your free time down at the library, and I haven’t called you out on it!
Ben That’s calling me out on it.
Sammy Eh-Well- and you know it’s nice hearing the birds tweeting instead of @kingfallsam. I’m not saying I don’t miss it but, I’m enjoying this a little bit.
Ben ♫It’s tearing up my heart when I’m with yoouu♫[2]
Sammy The references are not gonna bring back your goods.
Ben [hurt] Dammit Sammy, let’s just take a call from our jury-rigged phone system.
[bg music being provided by Chet’s record player]
Sammy You’re live with Sammy and Ben.
Cynthia Yeeaah, I wanna talk about the outages.
Sammy Cynthia Higgenbaum, ladies and gents. How are you doing during this electronic crisis?
Cynthia [blissful] I feel the warm embrace of the chastity belt that’s been placed on society. I’m relieved, de-stressed, marvelous!
Ben *chuckling* Whoa, heh, that’s- that’s a heck of a change!
Cynthia [suddenly aggressive] What are you trying to say, Ben?
Sammy It’s just you’re usually- you’ve been a little… pessimistic in the past.
Cynthia [mostly calm again] Ohhh, I still have problems; I’m full up with issues. But right now, I don’t have to worry about what websites my husband is perusing, what brain-dead TV my kids are watching— I’m at peace! It’s just me and my harlequin novels. Plus, with Jesus back and all—
Ben [jokingly suggestive] 50 Shades of Cynthia
Cynthia [angrily] Don’t be filthy Ben Arnold! I Know Your Mother!
Sammy I-I’m sorry, Cynthia— did you just say that Jesus is back?
Cynthia [gossipy tone] Have you guys not heard the news?
Ben Is she talking about Jesus Jesus?
Cynthia There’s only one.
Sammy Wellll, I think Mexico would disagree, but please tell us why you think Jesus—
Cynthia [snappy] I don’t think Sammy, I know! [softer] Earlier this evening, he was spotted glowing and speaking in tongues at Jack in the Box.[3]
Ben The one off Main Street or Red Oak Avenue?
Cynthia Ew, nobody does to Red Oak.
Sammy [softly] Jack-in-the-Box-Jesus.
Cynthia Oh, Hell no! I will not participate in that blasphemy. You’re gonna get smited—
Sammy Oh, I- I mean- I wasn’t- I’m sorry, I’m not meaning to, uh—
Cynthia Tell it to Satan! In Hell, Sammy! [hangs up forcefully]
[dial tone]
Ben This is big.
Sammy [slightly reluctant] If you or someone you know has had a sighting of *clears throat, Ben laughs* Jack in the Box Jesus please give us a call. Uh, 424-279-3858
Ben You’re on King Falls AM.
Deputy Troy Now I know what you’re thinking: how could the second coming of God’s only son happen and ol’ Troy here didn’t clue you in.
Ben Not what I was thinking.
Sammy What do you know Troy?
Deputy Troy Well I got a suspicious persons call out at ol’ Yack[sic] in the Box around 9. So, I hit the lights and cruised over to see what the fuss was about. And lo and behold, back by the dumpster with a mess of people looking on— there he was.
Sammy Now, are you really telling us that— [still reluctant] you saw, or, you believe you saw the son of God and the King of Kings bangin around outside the Jack In The Box?
Deputy Troy Well, he was a man. Somebody’s son, no doubt. Bearded. Good lookin’, if-if you’re into that sort of thing. He had a robe on—
Ben [cutting in]We can solve this right now. Was he white or was he black?
Deputy Troy He was more of a greenish color. Like a glow really.
Sammy The man had an aura around him.
Deputy Troy It was shinier than a damn Fukushima foxhound, fellas. Like, I felt a need to put on the old aviators, but I- I didn’t want to be cliché.
Sammy Alright, Troy. So, work with us here; you’re in the back of the Jack in the Box, there’s a uh, a Jesus-type guy—
Deputy Troy Just-a-ramblin’ on.
Ben Speaking in— tongues?
Deputy Troy Speaking in somethin. The last time I heard gibberish like that was comin’ from the back of my Chevy with Shell Snyder’s daughter.
Sammy So what happened next?
Deputy Troy Well a group of looky-loos had descended, as I said, and since it was only me, there was no perimeter set up yet. So I start ta approach this glowing Christ and somebody— Roy Higgins if you gotta know/— hollered out “It’s Jesus!” and the whole parking lot just went bonkers!
Ben Well, di-did you speak to the guy?
Deputy Troy Damn skippy. I told Roy that this was official police biz. And he shouldn’t be squawling around like a little baby.
Ben No, Jack in the Box Jesus.
Deputy Troy Oh, well no. I- I turned around and he was gone. Split right off into the woods, I suspect.
Sammy Did you follow him?
Deputy Troy Sammy. So you’re tellin me that you’d follow a 6-foot-tall and glowing perp into the woods??
Sammy [muttered] Point taken.
Ben So any other sightings?
Deputy Troy Well, not as of yet. But there were so many people they could’a had a revival in that parkin’ lot. So I’m guessin’ that’s how word spread so quickly. And without internet, too? That’s pretty damn impressive.
Sammy Is there an APB out or anything?
Deputy Troy For what, dilly-dallying around with a jumbo jack? He wasn’t doin nothin bad. Just acting a fool— Lord forgive me— where he shouldn’t’a been.
Ben And glowing.
Deputy Troy That’s right.
Sammy Well, please let us know if get any more info on this, Troy. We’d appreciate it.
Deputy Troy You bet. I’ll be sure to keep you boys and the listenin’ public informed. But if you should happen to stumble upon Jesus? Do not approach, bother or pester. You just call up Ol’ Deputy Troy.
[hangs up]
Ben …or your local church. [dial tone]
Sammy Deputy Troy, ladies and gents. Now we’re just going to take a quick break and hear from one of our new sponsors: Carl’s Candy!
Ben Yeah I don- I don’t think we should play this
Sammy What? Ads pay the bills remember?
Ben Folks, as a workaround with all the tech issues, uh, I went out and recorded a few spots of some of our sponsors- uh, new and old. Emphasis on Old, after this one.
Sammy Okay, so the audio is bad.
Ben *sucks in breath* You could say that.
Sammy This company’s paid up! They’re scheduled in one of your many notebooks. Let’s do this. We’ll be right back folks.
[slow, creepy xylophone music]
Carl [voice is soft and creepy, like you expect from a guy who offers kids candy from the back of a van] Do you know why they call it a blow pop? I sure do. And if you come on down to Creepy Carl’s Candy, I’ll fill ya up! I mean in. [whispering] It’ll be our little secret.- A sweet tooth is a terrible thing to waste. Come find a new sugar daddy to butter your fingers at Creepy Carl’s! Come in and grab a sack of Carl’s Boston baked beans while you’re at it. Oops, one fell in my pocket. Free if you can find it! *Ben groaning “oh no”* Every child’s welcome at Creepy Carl’s, big mouths, small mouths, white mouths and brown mouths. We’re equal opportunity! And just cause they shut down the ol’ brick and mortar doe’n’t mean you can’t buy it from my van. Be sure to ask your parents’ permission first, kids. Creepy Carl’s Candy, where the suckers don’t suck themselves. [Police sirens]
Deputy Troy [through megaphone] Carl, turn off your ignition. You are too close to the school zone.
Carl I gotta go! Catch ya later [tires squealing]
Ben [desperate, in bg] The mic!
[sirens fade out]
Sammy … Never again.
Ben I tried to tell you.
Sammy I know. Let’s never speak about this.
Ben [whispering] I need a shower.
Sammy *sigh* …Moving forward, we were just talking about a sighting that happened a few hours ago around the 9 o’clock hour, just off Main Street. It seems quite a few people believe that we may be experiencing a religious phenomenon. Perhaps the second coming of–
Ben [slightly gruff impression] “Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years!”[4]
Sammy *chuckles* Right, let’s go to the phone lines.
Ben [happily] That was good though right?
Sammy It was good. Good evening, you’re live on King Falls AM.
Reverend Hawthorne Ask and ye shall receive! King Falls-uh. It is the gooD Reverend Xavier “Right. With. Gaawwd-uh” Hawthorne.
Ben Reverend Hawthorne? Are you back in town?
Reverend Hawthorne [speaking over Ben] The One and Only, and we are turnin’ the wagons arounD as we speaK-uh. And we’re headin’ back to my flocK-uh. How’re y’all feelin’ tonighT, King Falls- I said How are you, Feelin’!
Sammy [softly] We’re feeling alright.
Reverend Hawthorne Praise GoD-uh! Hallelujah! Now a little birdie, uh-just chirp’n on my shoulder, told me there was a SighTing. A Vision. Dare I say it, eyeballs were laid on our Lord and Saviour at a burger joint in our fair city.
Sammy Yeah, about 9 o’clock here.
Reverend Hawthorne Could it Be-uh! that our 5-week-revival worked. Could it Be-uh! that our prayers have been brought forth the lamb of God-uh. Can I get an amen!
Ben Reverend Hawthorne we—
Reverend Hawthorne Amen! This miracle-uh, this sight from our God-uh, perched on a Mountain of Sanctity, says that he is ready to lead-uh, his most Highly Favored, Congregation bacK to the promised land. Gimme some organ, Deacon Reggie [organ music begins playing in bg]
Sammy [aside] Do you think Reggie has to wheel that thing around just in case?
Ben This is getting good.
Reverend Hawthorne Play it dirty, brother. We are going Home-uh. Take us back to Calvary, take us BACK-uh! … Samuel, Benjamin may I ask you gentlemen if you have a relationship-uh with the Author of the E-ternal Sal-vation; [organ goes silent] [softly] are ya saved?
Sammy I’m—
Reverend Hawthorne Then let me tell y’all, [organ starts again] because if you aren’t-uh, I’m coming back to town. One weekend only, the Xavier “Right with GoD-uh” Hawthorne Experience will be wheelin’ bacK into King Falls Fairgrounds this very night-uh. We are hoping to get One- On- One with the Risen Christ and start preparin’ for Kingdom Come. But just like old Xavier, you gotta come on down-uh so we can get you TurnT uP With GoD-uh. [click, dial tone]
Sammy Xavier? Hello?
Ben He’s, gone. Sammy.
Sammy Well, you heard it here first folks. Xavier Hawthorn’s Travelling Roadshow is coming back to town. Will Jack in the Box Jesus make his stage debut?
Ben [muttering] Tch- Jesus.
Sammy Literally.
Ben Do you think we could get an interview? Would it be Mr. Christ? Or-
Sammy Something tells me that there is something more to the story than what we’ve heard so far, Ben.
Ben Tsk. I get that, but this is King Falls, Sammy.
Sammy What a perfect place to make a return: a rinky-dink town with no internet.
Ben Line- [muttered] dammit, there’s only one line. Uh, you’re on with Sammy and Ben.
Archie Good evenin’ fellas!
[small dogs barking in bg]
Sammy Is thi-
Archie It’s Archie Simmons!
Ben He-ey Archie, how’s Princess Von Barktooth?
Archie Well, I do have news concernin’ the princess, and I just want to possibly recant some info from our previous call a few weeks back.
Sammy About the werewolves?
Archie Correct.
Sammy Wow. I mean, you sounded pretty convinced that you saw a werewolf.
Archie And now I’m saying that maybe I was misinformed.
Sammy I think you should probably tell Troy and the Sheriff’s Office, Archie.
Archie *giggles* You silly Sally, Troy’s on his way over now
Ben Why the change of heart, Archie?
Archie Well, new information has come to light boys, I mean with the Divine One making his triumphant, and let’s be honest, dramatic return to King Falls.
Sammy You’re talking about the glowing man at the Jack in the Box?
Archie [softly] Let’s be real here, it’s the J-Man, of course a heavenly carpenter would pick King Falls. So many projects to keep busy with.
Sammy [dryly] Uh-huh.
Archie Plus, with the princess and this new information, we have to believe this.
Ben You keep saying that, what’s going on with the princess Archie?
Archie She’s in a delicate condition.
Sammy Oh, of course. I mean she’s been through a lot.
Archie *giggles* No Sammy, I mean she’s with child. Ch-children. Puppies? There’s a bun in my $2400 oven boys!
Sammy Wait. She’s pregnant? From the werewolf attack?!
Archie [softly again] Well, that’s the thing. While I believed in my heart of hearts that the hillbilly beast from the trailer park had gotten to the princess, I think…
Ben What. What do you think Archie?
Archie I mean it was dark, I know it was a full moon but I was scared and recently awakened, sleep in my eyes etc. and so on.
Sammy You don’t think it was the werewolves.
Archie I’m thinking with this new evidence and the fact that I saw a long-haired, bearded man in a Biblical Act— Yeah I-I- I think- there’s a chance it could have been [whispering] the man upstairs.
Ben [stern] Upstairs from whom?
Archie Mankind! Come on Ben, get with the picture!
Sammy He’s saying that because there’s been a holy sighting tonight- which we should all be a little bit doubtful of- then maybe it wasn’t the werewolves, but the Alpha and the Omega.
Ben No! NO WA- That’s too much, Archie. You saw the werewolf. He looked you in the eye and howled at the moon.
Archie I don’t know what kind of weird things Jesus is into.
Ben No way. This is ludicrous.
Archie You just wait and see Ben! The princess may have lost her Westminster dreams, but it was all part of God’s plan.
Ben We’ve got to go Archie *laughs* you’re crossing a line that we cannot cross at King Falls AM.
Archie Judge Not, lest ye be judged boys. Kardashians[sic] 3:16 or a Psalm or something. I think Troy’s coming around the bend anyways boys, laters!
[click, dial tone]
Sammy You know? When I walk in the door every night I say to myself, “Nothing’s gonna surprise me tonight” And more times than not, I am just Dead Wrong.
Ben Let’s give the phone a rest for a moment, Sammy, the record player is just begging to be used.
Sammy *chuckles* Not a bad idea Ben.
[phone pings]
Ben What? *gasps* My phone! [several pings] OHH it’s back baby!
Sammy Me too! What’s going on?
[pinging continues]
Ben What’s up! Oh my God, I could literally kiss the apparition of Steve Jobs.
Sammy Hey, I’ve got a text here, Unknown Number.
Ben Okay, what does it say?
Sammy “I- I know why this happened. I know how to stop it. We need to talk“
Ben What?
Sammy No, that’s what the text said.
Ben You don’t think this has anything to do with… Thank You, Jesus.

A Better Me
Tumblr media
Years ago I was told by a young man whom I had a crush on that I had a lot of problems. And it was true. Physical, mental, emotional, I had a gaggle of about a bazillion problems. Still do, though maybe not quite as many as I had then. I’d like to think that I’ve worked through a few. But back then, this news was devastating. How was I ever going to get married? Who would want a person with so many problems? How was I ever going to find someone to share my life with if all men could see in me were my problems? There had to be a solution and I had to find it. So, I set out on a quest to find the solution to my problems and to make a better me.
I tried therapy, I read self-help books, and I spent oodles of dollars and time delving into my past to find the reason why I was such a mess. I explored my psyche and my past, I tried conventional therapy and new age and pretty much anything that was under the sun that the world had to offer. What did I learn? I was messed because of the way I was raised, or because of something a teacher did to me in front of a class, or because I was bullied at school or because of the way women were portrayed in the media. Seriously, there were so many things that I could point to and say “this is what did it” that I would never run out of excuses for my behavior or shortcomings. What I learned was if I spend all my time blaming others and excusing myself, I won’t have the ability or even the time to learn how to change. All I did during this period of self-examination was drag up events that happened in my life that made me feel angry, bitter, and helpless. It was more depressing to go through this process than to just live with my problems. Only one person, in all my searching, helped me find ways to cope with some of my problems so that I could function better. It helped, but it didn’t solve or cure my problems. that person just gave me some workarounds.
See, the trouble with talking to someone else about my problems is they only have the information I give them according to what I remember of my experiences. But what if my memory is inaccurate or tainted by some of my other experiences. Then the person trying to help me will only have faulty information to go on. And while I have given that person events as I perceived them, there still may be elements of the truth that aren’t brought to light, elements that could help change my perspective. If I don’t relate any of that information to the therapist then the therapist won’t have all the information needed to help me. And again, I could spend forever digging around trying to find all the junk that made me what I am and never get around to doing something that would help me be a better me.
There is only one who knows me better than anyone: Jesus Christ. He knows me through and through, even better than I know myself. He is the only one truly in the position to help me and heal me.
But how does He do it?
In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a man named Boyd K. Packard, an Apostle of the Lord, said this.
“True doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behavior.
“The study of the doctrines of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than a study of behavior will improve behavior, ... that is why we stress so forcefully the study of the doctrines of the gospel.”
When I was fourteen years of age, my family was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The missionaries taught my family that we had a pre-mortal life and we are all spirit children of God. Though this rang true to me, really believing that I was a beloved spirit child of God, and someone who was precious in His sight, has taken a long time to sink in. It has been hard to imagine that God would even want to claim someone like me, a kid who often did things wrong, was yelled at, was bullied, was passed-over or ignored, and never seemed to meet anyone’s expectations. Why would God want to claim me as a child?
But as I have slowly allowed Heavenly Father to be my Father, and to be the one I look too when I’m struggling to overcome something or to heal from some hurt I’m feeling, I have begun to understand that my Father in Heaven’s love is the kind of caring, lifting, encouraging and supportive love that we all desire to have from our parents and those around us. I also have learned that the expectations of my parents or others are no longer expectations I need to fulfill. I am freed from these expectations because there is only one that I truly want to please: my Father in Heaven.
Understanding that we are spirit children of a loving Heavenly Father is one of those doctrines that, if understood, can change behavior. Knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father who is gentle with me and loves me changes my behavior toward myself as well as toward others. It is humbling and it gives me a greater love for my Heavenly Father and my Savior.
Then comes the next step. The Savior told us “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)  So If I want to show my Heavenly Father and Savior that I truly love them, I’ll work on learning and then keeping the Savior’s commandments. These are more doctrines that when understood will change my behavior.
Some have mistakenly believed that the commandments given to us by God are too restrictive, or that they are man-made. Some feel that they’re an arbitrary set of rules that can be set aside whenever the commandment doesn’t suit them, and some even seem to wonder how a God who has no idea of what it is like to be a human being could have the right to require us to keep commandments that He has never had to keep himself, (which is a topic for an entirely different discussion). But may I suggest to any who have felt or believed any of the aforementioned that you might be missing the point? Keeping the commandments requires a change in behavior. As I feel love for my Savior and my Heavenly Father and try my best to keep the commandments my Savior has given me, I invite the Spirit to be with me always. And when I have His Spirit with me, then my Savior, the one who has not only atoned for all my mistakes and sins, but has taken on himself all of my pain, my sorrows, my hurt, and my problems, can begin to heal me, to change me, to rid me of my problems. That is when He can make me into that new person, that better person that I desire to be.
Trying to live by Christ’s commandments over the years has helped me become more patient, less self-centered, more caring of others, more disciplined, and more even-tempered. And, wouldn’t you know it? Some of the problems that I used to have, just don’t seem to bother me anymore. Not that I’ve consciously worked on them, but because the Lord has quietly been healing me until those problems are no longer a part of who I am.
So if you have problems that you would like to overcome, come to Christ, learn of His love for you, and then learn to show Him love in return by keeping His commandments. And when someone tells you, or when you are tempted to feel that the commandments God has given are too restrictive or too hard to follow, remember that by keeping these commandments you are changing your habits. You are handing the Lord the thread that will slowly unravel all those knots of pain, sorrow, anger, and hurt, you are giving Him the ability to reach in and heal you. He is the only one who knows all the truth about you and therefore knows how to heal you. That is why he gave us commandments to follow! To help us work on changing ourselves while He works on healing us so that we can change.

hi! this is so late but i’m honestly drowning in homework right now. but, my name is chelsea,im eighteen, in the est timezone and here is the sparknotes version of my baby delilah. she’s a new muse that I have decided to develop. i haven’t gotten the whole workaround yet so this is her briefly. if anyone would like to plot, message me or like this i’ll message you.
Tumblr media
{ nina dobrev & she/her } ⇁ i could have sworn i saw DELILAH WATLER sneaking off late last night. there have been some rumors that the 25 year old NIGHTCLUB OWNER is a LEADER of CHAOS and has been for the last YEAR though that can’t be true, right? they’re too AMIABLE but then again, i have heard they can be very TACITURN. (chels, 18, est, she/her).
delilah was born to a family that was strict. her father is former military and her mother is a teacher. school was a priority to her family but so was working for things that were wanted. her parents never spoiled her despite having money and always kind of left her out of the fun things they did such as traveling, going out to concerts etc. if delilah couldn’t help pay for it then she couldn’t go. basically, they went overboard with things.
from a young age, delilah was always trying to find ways to make money whether it was having a bake sale in front of her house or selling her school notes, she always tried to make money to support herself and use to buy the things she wanted.
delilah comes off as very friendly but is very reserved. she doesn’t really go too much out of her way to talk to others. this stems from her relationship with her parents, they never took the time to really talk to her so she does the same with others.
she doesn’t like dating per say. she prefers to not complicate things as she thinks romantic relationships do that. However, she isn’t completely opposed to having or finding love. she just likes the whole no strings attached kind of vibe, you feel?
she’s super smart, she has her own technique to learn things quickly and she’s always looking to expand her horizons/knowledge. although, she doesn’t really show it off.  she did well in school, A’s & B’s mostly all throughout college & high school.
she opened her nightclub after her arrest and her time in the holding cell. she adores it, it’s her baby.
after college and prior to the club opening, she was an angry person. she had a giant dispute with her parents and ended up trashing their house completely as she was drunk. she basically trashed the place and left. she was in holding for public intoxication and was put in holding.
this is basically it?? i don’t know right now. i might add to it or may switch some things up. but this is delilah.

And then I think about my ma trying yet again to find some workaround to get me to stay.
And I don't feel quite as guilty for looking to leave. And I don't feel that i am abandoning her.
I am mere steps away from 30 yet I am still concerning myself with the needs of a woman I watched exist with only her own thoughts and feelings at her reach.
I cared for her at 5 years of age. I dried her tears at 8. I consoled her at 10. I retreated at 12. I tried to start fresh at 18... at 20... at 24...
I have been a parent in so many ways but the most substantial, the most educational, the most demanding, and the most detrimental was the role I was forced to take in supporting this woman as my sister grew absent at 13.
At 7 years of age any dwindling pretence I still held onto that I could have a childhood worry-free washed away.
19 years I've tried to aid and grow this woman in some shape or form.
How could I allow myself to feel guilt and shame for finally stripping myself of this wretched family as I've always dreamed and taking life for myself.
I can no longer play such an active role in my own destruction.
I'm choosing myself.
Because someone finally should.
I keep recalling this conversation, "You have always been so worried about your mum and your sister. When you were a little girl you were trying to take care of them, help them. You have always been the one fixing things."
"There is only so much help you can give people. Sometimes you have to say, 'Ok, I can't keep carrying you, I have to take care of myself'. You need to focus on yourself now, so you can have your own life. They are not your responsibility."
And honestly, it's been keeping me going.
Through guilt, through doubt, through obligation.
That and the words of the other maternal figure, "The longer it continues the harder it is to handle. When you were younger you didn't know as much, you were resilient. But you're an adult now, you know what this is, you know the impact it has on you. And it has been grinding you down bit by bit. It is going to be more harmful when it happens now. It is going to be harder for you to take. And harder for you to bounce back from."
"It's time to accept, 'You know what, we can't live together', and you have to leave. For your own good. Don't worry about what your mum will do, or where she will live, or who is going to care for her. She can take care of herself and she will figure it out. You need to go because being here is not good for you and it's not good for her. You will end up making each others lives more miserable if this keeps on."
And it reminds me that I am fragile, increasingly so. And that whilst I may have grown accustomed to these ways, I have not developed an immunity.
I am less reactive, less startled, and less expressive. But I feel those wounds but more deeply. They are tender and raw.

Pesky software updates keep us secure online — like, srsly
New Post has been published on https://pressography.org/pesky-software-updates-keep-us-secure-online-like-srsly/
Pesky software updates keep us secure online — like, srsly
Software program updates regularly have the worst timing. A couple of weeks ago, I had about 30 tabs open across three exclusive Chrome home windows, with Firefox open for bills that handiest appear to paintings in that browser. I had unsaved feedback on Adobe documents and track playing as I flipped among work, research for a weekend away and chatting to a friend. Then the working system cleared its throat, pronouncing its presence with a notification: “Good day, restart to put in updates?” No danger. “Try later?” For the 10th time, yes, later. Hypothetically. I can be busy then too.
                                        Software Updates
Computer Software
Maximum folks develop into young adults in terms of such interruptions — Like, can’t you simply go away me by myself? But this is pretty elaborate due to the fact updates are frequently bundled together with essential protection patches. Of direction, a lot of us don’t consider this. As an alternative we assume, “Why does Adobe need updating once more? I can view PDFs simply pleasant.” Or we ask ourselves: “Do I want Java? What does that even do? Is that this malware?”
A few improvements are welcome, which includes while a favorite mobile app gets a fab characteristic. while it became feasible to alter the episode duration inside the Zombies, Run! running app, I used to be so glad. However, plenty of updates is a source of frustration. Mainly when navigation changes in unintuitive methods (looking at you, iTunes), the capability is removed (windows eight — by no means neglect), things spoil (deep breath, new Mac OS), or tactics should be relearned (2nd axis, Microsoft Excel).
But updates are a hugely important a part of maintaining ourselves comfortable. So much so that putting in them become the top ranked item when security specialists were asked by using researchers at Google: “What are the pinnacle 3 stuff you do to stay secure online?” The researchers, who published their findings in a 2015 paper, additionally asked mere mortals the same question. In evaluation to the 35 in keeping with a cent of professionals who plumped for “deploy software program updates”, simplest 2 in step with a cent of ordinary humans started the equal.
What’s at the back of this is how software program development works and our specific ranges of expertise about it. software agencies, while making improvements to their code, will occasionally make errors. If they waited to launch new capability till the entirety has been tested to perfection, we’d never be capable of regulating the episode period in Zombies, Run! (or certainly, view websites optimized for cellular telephones, as you will be doing right now). Instead, updates are launched after a quantity of best guarantee. A few insects are discovered after the truth and some of the ones create vulnerabilities a hacker can use to get admission to your tool and wreak varying amounts of havoc. corporations often pick out those issues themselves and A few even offer so-known as “malicious program bounties” wherein out of doors participants are paid for responsibly disclosing safety flaws to the software producer. And every so often the worst does occur: the computer virus is discovered due to a hacker exploiting it.
In any case, the computer virus fixes that mind the vulnerabilities are released in the form of software updates that may be bundled with the new capability. Many humans then ignore the lot.
We get rid of rebooting. We flip down installations. We don’t want to be interrupted by using this issue that — now and again — is a bad experience, or that may motive other software we use to break. As ever, it’s far a balancing act among safety and value.
One manner companies have handled that is to hide the technique with computerized updates and compelled installs. Going too far with this, but, risks annoyance, further detachment or even much less willingness to go with replacing prompts than there may be now.
As Kami Vaniea of the University of Edinburgh and Yasmeen Rashidi of Indiana College notice in a paper published last year, the effect is a deadweight loss. Customers don’t update as it’s perceived as no longer wanted — even though it could be useful — and developers need to hold fewer versions of the software program. A stand-off ensues and both parties are worse off.
The answer is to find higher approaches of communicating with Users approximately the safety blessings of accepting updates fast. I assume it would additionally assist if the timing was higher. Like, srsly, not whilst I have 30 browser tabs open and am speaking to my pals. Jeez.
How-To Keep away from software Updates Breaking Extra Than They Restoration?
Update
Regularly humans run software program updates on their electronic devices or have the technique carry out the downloading and install technique mechanically handiest to discover the replace is incompatible or risky as compared to previous software variations of the running machine.
For Maximum, the modern versions carry welcomed security patches, worm fixes, and appealing new capabilities determined through early adopters and beta testers. Lamentably because of the multitude of software program available there is no accurate approach to affirming each present day setup combination between variations to make certain a replace will install trouble-unfastened.
A little endurance will assist decrease the hassle as early adopters may have set up updates, observed issues, and reported most people of them which if good sized, reports can have collected within a few days of launch. Despite the fact that, the modern-day updates may additionally comprise relatively-desired capabilities and computer virus fixes, waiting can substantially lessen the danger of installing problematic software or incompatible versions.
Averting or waiting an extended period of time among software program updates leaves security holes within the device and any networks connected to it.
Although Some updates can motive troubles because of bugs in the code, most customarily troubles will result from a compatibility war with other software program or its settings inside. Packages which make use of several third-birthday celebration plug-ins encounters this difficulty regularly because of their dependence on many additives to function properly. Even software that does not closely reply on plug-ins may also still have dependencies that exist.
This all might also appear tedious, But far Greater green in comparison to the frustrating time wasted whilst things don’t paintings and having to parent out why.
Report any plug-ins you have set up and performed an internet search for every plug-in and its compatibility with the software program update model. The software’s guide, readme, or configuration file have to point out the location of the software’s plugin folders.
Check if your software integrates or connects to every other app or service. If it does, perform an internet seek to find out whether or not or now not the brand new version works causes new problems.
when issues occur, checking product support forums that Users submit approximately comparable court cases and inquiries approximately the modern-day replace may additionally cause quick workarounds and provide precious remarks in the direction of product builders providing a fast resolve. agencies not often notify Customers of errors or which you have to chorus from updating to the brand new model of their product.
A quick net seek need to flip up famous discussion boards that provide similar problems by different Customers. Checking these boards for issues, and posting a query asking approximately potential problems will assist help in troubleshooting if the solution to your specific issue isn’t apparent.
online databases exist that offer correct records to provide operating device compatibility. The Maximum famous Linux distributions offer a large on-line network of professional and dependable Customers. Roaring Apps provide Apple OS X compatibility facts, whilst Microsoft offers Compatibility Middle, a comparable device for home windows.
Even though upgrading comes with its own set of issues, regularly whilst your replace simply won’t work with older variations and there’s no manner around it, surely updating the whole lot will solve the problem. The reason being different set up software program can also require updating to be compatible with the difficult software. This works on the condition that you live up to date as the Most respectable software program groups pay near attention to dependencies on third-party plugins, apps, and services, whether or not they are immediately integrated or no longer.
Pesky Synonym
It is fairly rare, However from time to time in the event you have tried the whole thing yet still not capable of solving a main issue, be prepared to roll again and repair from a dependable backup. This case may be very not likely, but being prepared and reviewing improve documentation thoroughly does not harm. Assessing the price of doubtlessly upgrading to incompatible variations ahead paired with a regarded exact repair point will assist Avoid software updates breaking Extra than they Repair.
